Der Familienname „Amo dio“ bedeutet „Ich liebe Gott“ … aber auch „Amo cibo“ und „Amo famiglia“ (Liebe zum Essen, Liebe zur Familie). Anders als in klassischen Restaurants ist hier die Gastfreundschaft der ganzen Familie. Alle arbeiten unaufdringlich zusammen und feiern manchmal ausgelassen, aber Essen und Bewirtung sind immer ein besonderes Erlebnis. Das Restaurantteam von Umiles fühlt sich am wohlsten, wenn alle Familienmitglieder und Gäste zusammenkommen. Während in der benachbarten Gelateria Live-Musik gespielt wird, serviert er hausgemachte Spezialitäten, während seine Familie und sein Team für einen perfekt getimten und persönlich herzlichen Service sorgen. Ich nenne es eine Institution, ein warmherziges und daher manchmal emotionales Stück „schönes Land“, eine Insel Italiens, mehr als nur ein Restaurant, obwohl es der Familie vor allem darum geht, Gäste wie Freunde zu bewirten. Egal wann Sie kommen – Sie werden herzlich aufgenommen und das Essen wird Ihnen schmecken! Sollten Sie jedoch auf Situationen stoßen, die Ihnen nicht gefallen, sind Sie noch nicht bereit, so geliebt und wie ein Familienmitglied und Freund aufgenommen zu werden. Arbeiten Sie zunächst an sich selbst, damit Sie entspannt genug empfangen werden, um dieses Erlebnis genießen zu können.

Ein „richtiger“ traditioneller Italiener mit gehobenem, schönem Ambiente und einer sehr guten Pizza. Am meisten hat mich der Preis beeindruckt: Pizza Quattro Stagioni für 11€ - das sind Preise wie vor 10 Jahren und im Verhältnis unschlagbar. Geschmacklich top und zudem würde ich dieses Ristorante schon eher der Kategorie „gehobener Italiener“ einordnen. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Wir waren mit Freunden was essen und es war sehr gut. Bedienung und Essen kann man sehr empfehlen vor allem der Pizzateig ist einzigartig.

Essen gut. Man fühlt sich als nicht "Stammgast" wie ein Störenfried. Wir waren zu dritt da und wurden so gut wie gar nicht beachtet. Immerhin durften wir einmalig Getränke und Essen bestellen. Von weiteren Getränken, Nachspeise oder Kaffee war keine Rede mehr. Beim eintreten der Dunkelheit wurden an einigen Tischen Kerzen angezündet. Ist zwar nicht wichtig, aber wir hätten uns auch darüber gefreut. Vom Chef, wird man auch nicht mal gegrüßt, wenn er an dem Tisch vorbeigeht. Muss ja nicht unbedingt sein, aber es gehört sich "seine" Gäste zu begrüßen...und das hat nichts mit Stammgast oder nicht Stammgast zu tun. Beim bezahlen mussten wir schon fast betteln, das wir die Rechnung bekommen. Wir sagten vorab, das jeder getrennt bezahlen möchte. Die Bedienung kam mit einer Gesamtrechnung und fragte ganz frech, wer von uns gut rechnen könnte und ging wieder zu seinen Stammgästen. Nachdem wir unsere Beträge zusammen gerechnet hatten ( war ja nicht schwer ) haben wir bezahlt und der Ober wollte sich das Restgeld auch noch einstecken. Mit dieser Art, gewinnt man keine neuen Stammgäste, was wahrscheinlich auch gar nicht gewünscht ist.

Das Essen war hervorragend und das Ambiente wunderschön. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den aufmerksamen und herzlichen Service – man fühlt sich hier wirklich als willkommener Gast. Absolute Empfehlung!"

Ob zu zweit, kleine Gruppe oder Geburtstagsfeier bis hin zur Weihnachtsfeier unseres Büros - wir waren immer gerne Gast. Gute Weinauswahl, perfektes Essen, Mega-Service. Gluten-free in Geretsried This Italian restaurant has amazing homemade gluten-free pizzas and pasta dishes. Everything was great, highly recommended, we had a wonderful evening.

There were eight of us. The six different dishes were served almost simultaneously and were all very well prepared and delicious. The desserts were top-notch.

Here, you can feel the passion for good food. Everything is freshly prepared, the ingredients are high-quality, and the taste is simply fantastic. The staff is super friendly – ​​100% recommended! 👍🏾😍

Authentic Italy in Geretsried! Excellent food, fresh ingredients, and a taste of true Italian joie de vivre. The service was warm and attentive – we felt completely at home. Highly recommended, we'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The service was bored, and we had to wait a long time for drinks even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food wasn't bad, but the quality wasn't as good as before! The salad we ordered wasn't brought! Too bad, we'll have to find another Italian restaurant!

Ordered salad and pizza yesterday and picked it up: Salad was good as usual, while, as has been the case for several months, the pizza was unspeakably bad! Thick dough, topped with tons of cheese, partly oversalted - that really hurts, because Italy was a guarantee of great Italian quality for years.

Hello I ordered a pizza today, January 11th, 2025 for 11 euros and was very disappointed because it was completely burnt even though there was nothing going on at that time, see photos. I hope the boss compensates me if he reads something like that. At the moment I will buy my pizza elsewhere. So for 11 euros it's a disgrace that such a pizza is even being sold. 1 star is too many. Normally 0 stars. I'm curious whether there will be an answer.

Great service, excellent cuisine

For us: never again! Had to sit at the "cat table" because we didn't have a reservation and were very disappointed. Food served lukewarm and without any friendliness. We experienced live that you can do that, but at the other table! Guests were literally courted! We don't have to deal with these differences, there are plenty of other restaurants where the guest can still be a guest!

We paid a total of €30.50 for two meals. 17€ for Risotto Frutti di Mare. Proud price, but I'm happy to pay if it tastes good. But what is referred to here as “risotto” looks and tastes like rice. And not very good rice. The fish and seafood are also quite gristly, but probably relatively okay for Germany. But calling the rice a risotto is really a joke. It's hard to believe that an Italian cooked this, creamy risotto, as we usually know from risotto, seems to be a foreign word here. It's a shame, the other dishes are really highly recommended.

Food was very, very good. Spaghetti Vongole. Nice portion, good price. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. We'd love to come back! Update: Three of us went out for dinner on May 17, 2024. Sister-in-law and I ordered the Tagiollinis with asparagus and shrimp. Brother-in-law noodles with beef. A new waiter was also there that evening, who greeted us very friendly. When the food came we noticed that the portions were very different. We women had scampi on top, I had a few shrimp, but neither of us had any asparagus. My sister-in-law had nothing else on her plate apart from the scampi and a mini portion (at least €17). When we told the waiter that shrimp and asparagus were missing, he joked that my brother-in-law had them all in his meal. People made fun of it instead of remedying the situation. Then the boss appeared, who shrugged meaningfully and simply said: next time. This kind of behavior simply doesn't work. Just because it was my favorite Italian restaurant in the district so far, you shouldn't assume that you'll come back again after such behavior. It doesn't help if you send your wife over to shake hands. Mistakes can happen, but then making the guest look stupid is the worst solution. At the end the waiter thought it was funny that I paid with my cell phone. True to the motto “look here, woman, old and pay with a cell phone”. Since I'm moving away, this was my last visit, but it would have been in any case.

For over 40 years, in the same hands and the boss still cooks himself, just as good! The prices are also appropriate. I can recommend it .

Last night we had the pleasure of eating at Restaurant Italy and I have to say it was simply fantastic. So far it is the best Italian restaurant I have experienced in the Munich area or its surroundings. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. It felt like they were part of a big family who went out of their way to provide guests with a great experience. What particularly impressed me was the speed of the service - my order was at the table in just 8 minutes! The atmosphere was inviting and I immediately felt at home, as if I were a regular. The only tip: If you want to eat there on Sunday, I strongly recommend making a reservation as the restaurant seems to be very popular. But overall, Italy has become my new favorite Italian restaurant in the Munich area.

Haben heute meinen Geburtstag hier gefeiert. Essen und Service waren super! Wir haben nichts zu beanstanden. Wir hatten zwei Hunde dabei und auch diese wurden teilweise vom Service bespaßt. Ich mag das Restaurant. Man wird hier sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das Essen ist lecker, allerdings muss man so gut wie immer nachwürzen. Aber das seh ich nicht als Problem. Das Restaurant ist sehr urig. Der rote Teppich und die Ansicht generell von draußen nicht sehr schön. Man könnte es schöner gestalten.

Sehr empfehlenswertes italienisches Restaurant. Küche authentisch und mit konstant hoher Qualität. Auswahl an Speisen und Weinen super, zusätzlich erweitert durch die saisonale Spezialitätenkarte. Fragen Sie auch nach Speisen außerhalb der Karte, der Chef hält immer etwas Besonderes bereit. Service sehr freundlich und zuverlässig. Eine Empfehlung wert.

Sehr freundliches Personal und ein schönes Ambiente, die Speisekarte hat für jeden Geschmack was zu bieten. Besonders große Auswahl an Pizza und Pasta. Der Fisch und das Fleisch das wir bestellt hatten war auf den Punkt gegart. Die Portionen sind reichhaltig. Ich kenne das Italy noch aus meiner Kindheit und Jugend und freue mich, dass dieses Lokal über so viele Jahre, mit gleichbleibender Qualität besteht.

Italienisch essen in einer neuen Dimension, wenn man es vergleichen möchte. Das Lesen der Speisekarte belegt es. Das Essen ist den Preis wert und nebenbei ist alles liebenswert Italienisch, erst recht der ausgezeichnete Service!

Wir hatten je 3 Gänge und waren außerordentlich zufrieden. Sehr freundliches und geduldiges (#11 jährige) Personal. Kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Beim Ambiente reicht es leider "nur" für 4 Sterne, ein bißchen wärmeres Licht, etwas mehr Farbe wären noch schöner.

Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal im Italy und dabei wird es definitiv nicht bleiben. Ein 100% authentischer Italiener so wie man es sich wirklich wünscht. Das Essen ist qualitativ und geschmacklich unschlagbar. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, fast wie in Italien. Wer auf der Suche nach einer süditalienischen Küche ist und auf gutes Essen wert legt, wird hier definitiv nicht enttäuscht. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft und das tolle Erlebnis. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder. Ps. Die Pinsa ist wahnsinnig lecker. Die Trüffel-Pasta köstlich - nicht zu schwer, frisch und 1A Trüffel.
