UMI Restaurant in Finsterwalde

We just ate there, but we were quite disappointed with the value for money when it came to the sushi and dumplings. The set menu for around €43 for 2-3 people wasn't filling, and the dumplings were extremely small compared to other Asian restaurants we've been to. The service and the location are excellent, and our orders arrived very quickly. Overall, it was cool to have been here, but it was the first and last time.

5-Star Deluxe Great decor, not overly tasteful, not standard... Polite and fast service, the selection of dishes is excellent, not run-of-the-mill food, everything we ate was unique and very, very tasty, even the drinks selection is extensive and enjoyable, which you wouldn't expect in Finsterwalde. A solid 10 out of 10. I wish there was this place in Dresden, we'll be back.

I've been here for the first time in years! Absolutely fantastic! Everything is perfect! The food is delicious, the value for money is okay, and the staff is first-class! I highly recommend it!

Our regular Vietnamese restaurant absolutely recommends this place. After two years of almost weekly visits (sometimes two or three per week), three birthday dinners, and many visits with friends, we have only positive things to report. So far, all the dishes have been delicious, seem authentic, and are served quickly (of course, always depending on the number of guests). Birthday dinners are decorated, and the restaurant also strives to fulfill every guest's wishes. The service is always excellent, even when it's absolutely packed. The young waiter is particularly friendly and helpful; he always has a joke ready and welcomes everyone warmly. You feel completely at home here and enjoy great food in generous portions. Our personal recommendation is the large soup phô, which we have already tasted across Germany. The phơ at Umi is easily one of the best so far. In short, Umi is always worth a visit thanks to the delicious food at a reasonable price and very friendly service.

The food was delicious, and I have nothing to complain about. I was disappointed and very shocked by the service, especially by the young gentleman. When I asked if I could order something, he answered "no" in a disinterested manner. Finally, we asked for the bill, but this request was ignored, and we waited for 20 minutes while he typed on his phone. After I repeated, "I'd like the bill," I received the response, "I don't care." The attitude and communication were so condescending and rude. I won't be returning. It's a shame, but that's neither professional nor did I understand his problem.

I love coming here! The food is good, authentic, and tasty. The ambiance is just right, inviting and cozy—both inside and out. But what I particularly like is the pleasant atmosphere! Excellent service, always a smile, a few friendly words (especially from the friendly young man on the waiting team), which make you feel like you're visiting nice people or, over time, even old friends. And all of this—from ordering to paying—without long waits (obviously, the food isn't prepared as quickly as ready-made meals). I definitely recommend the UMI restaurant 👍👍👍

Large selection and good food with friendly staff

We had lunch at UMI as part of a small family celebration (8 people). I wasn't familiar with the restaurant before and was pleasantly impressed by the friendly, attentive service. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and has a pleasant ambiance. Thank you for the service👍

Very tasty food, the peanuts at No. 60 were even roasted – highly recommended. The service could have been better; we were there with a toddler, but there were no high chairs, or at least none were offered to us, or a higher cushion, etc. But that's just complaining at a high level; the food was otherwise delicious.

The food was delicious, a 5, but the service was a 2, the waiter was absolutely not friendly, threw us the menu without emotion, and at the end took all the food, although we had not finished yet. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, free parking nearby, and there were plenty of free seats on Sunday afternoon without a reservation. There are high chairs for children and a three-course children's menu.

The food tastes perfect and the decoration fits the mood perfectly and makes a relaxed impression. However, we waited half an hour for our order to be taken, even though there was hardly anyone there and the waitress had nothing to do. Otherwise you can't complain👍

It feels like a train station, people coming and going, everything hectic and very loud. Sushi was bland and unfortunately nothing special, as if rice vinegar and everything that spiced it up was missing. Service was hectic and not customer-oriented, you were ignored or simply served carelessly. Card payment is undesirable, the maximum is EC, even if a credit card is specified. All in all: you can do it, but there are better places (also in FiWa)

I've been a regular at UMI for a long time and I'm always impressed. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The staff is friendly, fun, and attentive; you just feel right at home. I'd like to particularly highlight the new outdoor area that's currently being built. Even though the construction is still underway, you can already see how beautifully and lovingly the whole thing is being designed. I'm already looking forward to when it's all finished! Kudos to the entire team – keep up the great work!

Admittedly, we didn't reserve beforehand. It was even nicer that we were assigned seats straight away and weren't turned away. Food and ambience very good.

Best sushi in the area. Chicly furnished and in summer you can eat right outside the door. There are enough parking spaces and the shopping center is small, but there is a lot to do shopping. Picking up also works great. The only negative thing is the constant annoyance of paying in cash.

My husband and I spontaneously had lunch at Umi. We were given a very friendly welcome. The food was delicious and the Tom Kha Gai was so delicious that I recreated it today. Mine is good too, but the one in Umi was better. We would be happy to come back.

On the one hand, it is not obvious that you are not allowed to take your dog into the restaurant. Very unfortunate because we had specifically arranged to meet here and after a 6 hour drive we had to leave the dog in the car for an hour longer. So it was just a short meal. On the other hand, despite there being few guests, we waited almost 15 minutes for our first drink. We were looking forward to a lovely evening and a cozy meal. So it was a short interlude with correspondingly little sales. Too bad for you!

Great sushi restaurant in East German small town.

We spontaneously went to the UMI in Finsterwalde and what can I say... the atmosphere is really well done and invites you straight in. When we sat down, the menu was brought to us straight away and we were able to immediately get an overview of the variety of offerings. As you can see in the photo, I chose the “Baked chicken breast fillet with a coconut milk curry (No. 42)” and the “Wan Tan Chiên (No. 12)” as a starter. The food was really plentiful and really tasty 😊. All in all, we had a good experience there and we certainly won't be here for the last time 😊!

We have already heard a lot of positive experiences from friends and wanted to try the restaurant ourselves. The food and drinks are extremely delicious. The employees are friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is designed appropriately, as if you were briefly in another world. You get an evening in a very pleasant atmosphere and can forget about everyday life.

We like going to UMI because it is the only sushi restaurant in the area where it tastes very good.

Unfortunately, it's only after eating that you're told that card payment doesn't work and that Visa or debit cards aren't accepted at all. A sign with a message on the front door or in the window could help prevent great dissatisfaction.

The food was correct but rather average. It didn't excite me at all. WAN TAN soup was better, but sushi was extremely weak... the tuna meat was even dry and almost inedible.

I like coming to the UMI restaurant. If I want to eat delicious sushi, this is it! 🍣🍱 There is a large selection of different food - sushi (maki, inside-out, nigiri, baked..), donburi, pho and much more. Everyone will find something here. There are also children's meals. I celebrate the cocktails - there are alcoholic and non-alcoholic. If you want a nice summer cocktail, I recommend the "Ipanema" (brown cane sugar, ginger ale, lime and lots of crushed ice). 🍋‍🟩🍸🧊 If you can't manage your food, you can take it with you. The ambience is very nice; It's cozy inside and there's also seating outside. What I don't like now is that you sit relatively close to each other. If you don't feel like eating in the restaurant, you can also order food and pick it up. ✌🏻 The waiters are all very friendly! Always a smile on your face. There is also enough parking space around the UMI. The prices are okay for the quality of the food. You will definitely be full. 😊 My photo shows: Big Baked Yaki Roll (cooked chicken, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese) and Inside-Out Rolls Kappa Maki (cucumber, cream cheese, sesame). 🥑🥒🥢🍱

Very nice atmosphere and very hospitable staff. My food was a bit too greasy and almost too good for Asian cuisine, but the other food and drinks were very tasty. In terms of price I would put it in the upper midfield but it is definitely justified for the quality and portion size. Keep it up

We made a reservation for 5 people and received excellent service. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The service was very friendly and often asked if everything was ok or if something was missing. We will be back definitely. Thank you for the great food and the excellent service.

Completely messed up! You call at 7 p.m. and want to make a reservation. This is rejected because apparently there is no one in the restaurant. The Corona season begins and the establishment is full to the last seat - far from it. There can be no question of a safe distance at all. After 17 minutes, not even ordered anything. Used to be good - no longer recommended.
