For a cute garden pub, the ambiance is perfectly fine; you're greeted and served in a friendly manner. We arrived an hour before closing time and had a good dinner. The food was good 👍 and the price was great 👌 I would have loved to take a photo of the spiced meat, but we were just hungry after a 10km hike 😅. So, I was able to quickly grab my camera for the other dishes. 😊

If you're looking for something "back in the day," you've come to the right place 😉 Everything just fits here. A great garden pub, delicious home-cooked food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. The prices are also great, delicious, thank you❣️

The entrance is definitely a bit bumpy and difficult. But if you're looking for good, affordable food, this is the place for you. You won't find a large 0.4L Coke for €3.00 anywhere else. But please try to call ahead, especially in winter, and come sit down at the bar, as we're often completely booked.

Eating like before is possible here. Portions were good, prices are unbeatable, but there is one flaw. If we (there were twelve people) were there before another group and only received the menus after them and upon request and then had to wait a little over an hour for the food, that's not ok. Although an apology was made (a service staff was unavailable), they could have at least brought a few slices of toast to tide things over. Conclusion: I would still like to eat here again.

Family business. However, a pretty run-down restaurant. Food was cold, convenience products. Reasonably priced. Service OK, even if there was an empty plate on the table after it was cleared until the payment process. Certainly a regular meeting place for locals. A matter of taste for foreigners. It wasn't mine

It was a great dance event that we were able to do in the submarine. Simply nice and good-humored guests who danced right from the start and sang along to the Steigerlied. The food and the friendly service are also positive. We'd love to come back.

Cool location. The staff is attentive, friendly and always on hand. The food is amazing. We were invited to a youth consecration. There was a second company in the next room. You didn't notice anything, nor did any stress break out. Class.

Small, simple restaurant with a pub feel. The menu is surprising given the size of the restaurant, as there are many dishes on offer. However, the quality of the food was convincing. The price performance ratio is very good. It's good home cooking. The immediate surroundings of the restaurant are ideal for taking a walk as it is located directly on a lake. Update from April 14, 2024: The quality of the food has decreased drastically. The schnitzels taste like old oil. Some of the dishes were too salty. Instead of western potatoes, “Twister” was served for 8 dishes without asking. An absolute no go was 2 schnitzels, which were ordered without mushrooms. Both dishes came with mushrooms. The waitress took the plates back and came after 2 minutes and said that the 2 dishes would take a while. After another 2 minutes the dishes arrived. Lo and behold, the mushrooms were no longer on the plates. However, after turning the schnitzel, we realized that they were the same plates and only the meat had been turned. There can be no reasonable explanation for this. Cheap prices or not.

Very good food and super nice service. You feel very comfortable. I will definitely come back. Price/performance is very good. The furnishings are completely OK and people have known this restaurant for years. Anything else would, in my opinion, destroy the charm. It's nice that there is still something like this in this place. The access is a bit tricky, but you can either drive or don't 😉

You can only take your hat off to the staff at the garden restaurant with such a large selection of dishes and this brisk, friendly service. The price/performance ratio is unbeatable and every visit so far has been a culinary highlight for us. It's easy to do without modern interior design and the like.

In der Gaststätte wird Hausmannskost angeboten. Alles ist ja immer eine Geschmackssache, für mich war es okay. Ein neuer Anstrich würde dem Ambiente sicherlich gut tun.

Ich war etwas skeptisch aber das Essen sowie der Wein waren echt Spitze! Der Service war super, ich kam konnte mich umschauen und wurde freundlich empfangen! Die Preise sind unschlagbar! Ich komme gerne wieder wenn ich in der Gegend bin!

Essen ist halt Geschmackssache! Für eine Gartengaststätte in Ordnung, aber die Soße zum Essen war nicht gut. Mein Sohn sagte die Soße ist wie eine Kaltschale. Genau das trifft es, extrem geliert, kein Geschmack und kalt. Wobei das geleeartige dem Geschmack nach, nicht von ausgelassenen Knochen und Fleisch stammte. Schade. Wünschenswert wären ein paar weniger Speisen auf der Karte, diese dafür qualitativ besser.

Ich war schon oft im U Boot, weil es in meiner alten Heimatstadt liegt. Es ist eher eine Kneipe in einem Park mit Kleingärten. Wenn man sich ein leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis wünscht, ist man hier genau richtig. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich.

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die freundliche Bedienung, gutes Essen zu einem anständigen Preis. Selbst als offensichtlich Fremder und dann auch noch Wessi ;) kann man hier mit allen Anwesenden einen netten Schnack halten. Wenn alle Gäste versorgt sind, haben wir uns mit den Smutje und Inhaber auch schon sehr nett unterhalten. Wir fühlen uns hier willkommen und rundum wohl. Wir kommen seit Jahren und das ist für nächstes Jahr auch schon fest eingeplant.
