Incredibly (child) friendly staff! The food and drinks were more than tasty and also very fairly priced. There was bread with fresh dips as a starter and a delicious tea at the end. Everything on the house. Vegetarian and meat dishes were superbly prepared. We are thrilled and would love to come back.

Unser Besuch im Troja Café & Restaurant in Wuppertal war leider eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir kamen zu dritt zum Frühstück und mussten einen gravierenden Vorfall erleben, der jede Empfehlung unmöglich macht. In unserem gebratenen Gemüse beim Frühstück fand sich ein Zigarettenstummel, was dazu führte, dass uns allen der Appetit bilging. Der Schock war groß und ohne viele Worte einigten wir uns mit dem Kellner darauf, das Restaurant zu verlassen. Doch damit endete die unangenehme Situation nicht. Beim Verlassen des Lokals ertönte ein lautstarker Kommentar aus der Küche von einer Frau, der uns unterstellte, das Ganze inszeniert zu haben, um die Zahlung zu Vermeiden. Dies war nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch höchst beleidigend. Ein solches Verhalten und dieser Umgang mit Gästen sind inakzeptabel. Um sicherzustellen, dass entsprechende Maßnahmen ergriffen werden, haben wir eine E-Mail an das zuständige Gesundheitsamt in Wuppertal gesendet. Obwohl wir uns bemüht haben, die Situation nicht eskalieren zu lassen und keine Szene zu machen, bleibt ein bitterer Nachgeschmack. Dieses Erlebnis lässt uns zu dem Schluss kommen, dass wir das Troja Café & Restaurant keinesfalls weiterempfehlen können und definitiv nie wieder besuchen werden. Und noch einmal auf Türkisch, damit es wirklich jeder versteht: Our visit to Troja Café & Restaurant in Wuppertal was unfortunately an extremely disappointing experience. Three of us came for breakfast and encountered a serious incident that cannot be recommended. We found a cigarette butt in the fried vegetables for breakfast and this ruined all our appetites. The shock was great, and without needing to put it into words, we agreed with the waiter to leave the restaurant. However, the disturbing situation did not end there. As we were leaving the restaurant, a loud comment from a woman in the kitchen was heard suggesting that we had deliberately prepared the situation to avoid payment. This situation was both unprofessional and an insult. This kind of behavior and attitude towards guests is unacceptable. We sent an e-mail to the relevant health department in Wuppertal to ensure that the necessary measures were taken. Although we were careful not to escalate the situation or cause a scene, this unpleasantness left a bad mark in our memories. This experience led us to the conclusion that we cannot recommend Troja Café & Restaurant at all and will never visit it again.

The quality of the food was very good. Despite a crowded store on a Saturday evening, we were always served attentively and friendly. The waiting time for the food was about 40 minutes. However, it was well worth it. Side dishes also super fresh. The tea tastes fresh and not stale like you might find elsewhere. Keep it up!

Wow just incredible. Ordered breakfast for two this morning. A bread basket, 1 pot of tea, 2 portions of menemen, 2 glasses of O juice, 1 coffee and 21 bowls with various ingredients were brought to our table. It was way too much. It cost €29.80. It's just a shame that over half of it ended up in the trash because we absolutely didn't manage to eat. You should ask in advance whether you have been there before, then this could have been avoided. The toilets weren't really clean either and at 9:40 a.m.

Ate so well for the first time recently. The prices are right too. We'd love to come back!! Service is also top. Very nice and everything quickly.

At first when I read the name I thought it was a Greek restaurant, but to my amazement it was a Turkish restaurant. The food was great, pasta in cream sauce was very tasty and my husband had the lamb fillet, super tender. Child friendly too. We'd love to come back

The West has absolutely great restaurants, here they really make an effort to satisfy the guest. Excellent food - simply something different than the typical kebab shop - oriental cuisine and flair and at really reasonable prices. Unfortunately, some things on the menu were out of stock but that was just a tiny downside. The tea at the end and the two sauces with flatbread at the beginning, which were served free of charge, made up for it sufficiently. If we are in Wuppertal again, we will definitely come back.

Absolutely amazing food and service recommend kebab plate

After an extensive shopping tour, we returned to Troy. The map is great and clearly laid out. The dishes are authentic, well seasoned and the portion size is almost too big😎 The grill plate was my highlight👍🏻 Moderate prices rounded off our visit and we will definitely come back on our next city trip. Another positive aspect is the really friendly team, which also answers questions in detail.

This Turkish restaurant is a pure delight. Great service, very welcoming, very friebdly and helpful. A cozy atmosphere with a blend of modern and traditional designs. The menu offers a large variety of option with good prices. We went for a larger selection of meze/starters and the lamb ribs. And the food was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommrnd a visit. The restrooms/washroom are down the stairs in the basement. The restaurant is easy to reach in the city centre. Enjoy!

I used to go to the Troy with passion. Today I was there again after a long time to have a nice breakfast. Unfortunately, what I expected and what I had ordered wasn't there. The staff next to you kept opening the window, even though they were made aware of it. Please don't close it do because it was cold. Our breakfast was purely vegetarian and ice cold just like the bread. The tea was good and clearing it away quickly made us feel unwell so we couldn't get to the end and felt like we had to leave quickly. Unfortunately I will have to look for another cafe for my next breakfast place. . Not satisfied this letter goes not only online but also to everyone I know to share my experience here.

We were there by chance at the weekend and didn't regret it. The selection is huge and there is sure to be something for everyone. The food was not only very tasty but also plentiful. We all got very full. The prices are fair and the price-performance ratio is therefore very good. Wow!!! So at the beginning I thought, well right on the main street… difficult. But you don't notice anything inside. It is two floors and very modernly furnished. We have lamb and veal, it was a poem! Really highly recommended! Only the parking situation is a bit difficult, we parked in the parking garage at the train station. Depending on the time, you can also park in the City Arkarden!

We stayed at TROJA last week because a friend recommended it to us. We ordered minced meat skewers with natural yogurt and a Toscana salad, as well as the "homemade Ayran". The ayran arrived first, in a cup like you can buy in the supermarket - apparently the restaurant has recently stopped being allowed to make its own ayran. That's not a problem in itself, but then the restaurant should at least correct their menu, otherwise it will promise the customer something wrong. Unfortunately, the food wasn't much better - the tomato sauce that came with the minced meat skewers was completely unseasoned, as was the minced meat itself (and it wasn't on skewers either). The salad was very roughly chopped, making it difficult to eat, but at least it tasted okay. We then had the minced meat returned with the comment that it was completely under-seasoned, to which we only responded with a short apology and were not given the opportunity to order anything else instead. Overall, we were disappointed with our visit to TROJA - after our friend's suggestion and the good Google reviews, we expected much more. Since many reviewers here praise the kebab, it may be that these are better, but I can't say anything about that.

We ordered Troja Sofra for four people. Half of the chicken is skewered. The cola was not a bottle, it was degassed and hot. The service was very slow. The food was bad.

Breakfast was OK. The service was unfriendly towards the customers. She didn't serve us. She took care of other guests even though we were there earlier. I will never enter this store again.

Today we were in Troy for the first time and had breakfast upstairs. The breakfast was not only rich and colorful, but also incredibly tasty and very reasonably priced. The store itself is beautifully designed, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. We were particularly impressed by the service, which was really top. The lady with the long hair who served us was always calm, friendly and very quick despite the hustle and bustle. We felt completely comfortable.

The food was good, there's nothing to complain about. However, the waiter was more than unfriendly. We sat outside and it started raining later. Since the awning above us had a few holes, everything got wet and we sat down at a table. Here the waiter didn't seem to be enthusiastic. When we wanted to pay and I wanted to draw attention, I was asked what my problem was (?!). My friend tried to clarify the matter. The waiter was really upset, called me 'she' even though I was sitting opposite and threw the change to my friend. We still don't know what the problem was. Good food alone is not enough, the service should also be friendly, even if you are having a bad day. I definitely wouldn't come back again.

I love eating there and every time I go there it's always great. The food is very justified for the price as the quality and taste are very good. The Beyti Sarma is a must on every visit. I hope that they will soon offer drinks with 0.33 l because 0.25 is not enough. But I can't complain about the rest and I can recommend it

We go there very often, but unfortunately last time they made us wait over an hour for breakfast, EVEN THOUGH there wasn't much going on and everyone who came after us was served. When we decided to cancel the order, the staff didn't care. Never again!!!

Breakfast waiting time is approximately 40 minutes. The attitude of the young (somewhat bearded) waiter was not nice. The wrong menemen came. The tea is bad. The waitresses were friendly and apologetic. I don't think I will come again..

We've been here twice now. The first time we had the dish of the day, the second time for the traditional breakfast. The dish of the day was chicken with rice. The taste was acceptable, the rice was sticky. The breakfast was very tasty and good value for money. However, the price stated here on Google should be corrected from €12.50 to €13.50. Unfortunately it is quite warm on the upper floor and quite loud on the ground floor because of the open door🙁

06/29/24. Around 4:30 p.m. I sat for almost 20 minutes until the menu was brought to me. I ordered "first a ladle of Paça soup" followed by "Peynirli Pide" Ayran, mineral water. It took almost half an hour (not an exaggeration) that everything was served to me at once. I responded 'honestly' very nicely, and they took Pide back and apologized. Then: first spoonful of soup; cold, not even lukewarm! I also shared that. No apology, remorse, or anything like that. Neither he nor she, of the two who tried to serve me, cared! I still paid for ayran and mineral water with a tip downstairs and went out! Thanks

Unfortunately my Iskender Kebap only tasted oil or fat. The meat was also quite sinewy and cartilaginous. Service seemed chaotic at times.

We waited an hour to be seated with 6 people at a table for 4. Bad organization, unfriendly employees. False information is given in advance over the phone. It was only because of the statements on the phone that we set off (30 minutes). According to the gentleman on the phone, only a 15-20 minute wait and no problem. In the restaurant they didn't want to hear anything about it, even though one of the two gentlemen served us. Sometimes less is more and after each visit you notice that the quality is decreasing and being lost.

Troja Turkish Restaurant offers a culinary journey through the aromas and flavors of Turkish cuisine. On my last visit, I was overall very impressed with the quality of the food and the ambience. The kebab was an absolute highlight. The meat was juicy, tender and perfectly seasoned, which combined with the fresh, crisp salads and homemade sauce created a real taste experience. Every ingredient was fresh and harmonized wonderfully with each other. The lahmacun I tried was also excellent. The thin dough was baked crispy and the meat filling (slightly stretched) was well seasoned. It was clear that high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail were used here. The ambience of the restaurant is appealing and invites you to linger. The decor is cozy and typically Turkish, which contributes to an authentic atmosphere. You immediately feel welcome and can enjoy your meal in a pleasant environment. One aspect that still has some room for improvement is service. Although the staff was friendly and polite, the level of attention could be increased a bit. There were a few moments during my visit where it was difficult to get the staff's attention. In addition, the team conveyed a certain hecticness that seemed a bit restless and didn't quite fit with the otherwise relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, however, the positive impressions clearly outweigh the negatives. The Troja restaurant offers delicious Turkish dishes that impress in terms of quality and taste. Despite some minor hiccups in the service, it's definitely worth a visit and I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes from the varied menu.

The meat and fish taste very good. The breakfast was also varied and good, although there was a little bit of bread for two. The service is not always satisfactory because you have to wait a long time to pay and sometimes you don't get a starter plate. I would strongly advise against the kebab plate or the kebab meat. It didn't taste good at all.

Unfortunately I would like to have a restaurant. Ordered 3 dishes - second one came 10 minutes later than the others. Taste: You shouldn't expect much, in my opinion it's more of a fast food restaurant.

I ordered Künefe once, unfortunately it was cold and it was literally swimming in the sugar syrup 😵‍💫 When asked, they said they always do it that way. So if you want to eat Künefe you should choose another restaurant in Wuppertal…

We were 4 people for breakfast and wanted the breakfast menu twice. Since there were four of us, they wanted to impose 4 breakfast menus on us and if we didn't order it, only two people would be allowed to eat and the other two wouldn't get any service plates or cutlery. By the way, the breakfast menu we ordered for 2 people was enough for 6 people and we're talking about sustainability here ???? It's a shame about all the food that is thrown away when millions of people are starving. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I'm coming from Cologne to Wuppertal for dinner for Troja. Lamb shank is my favourite. If you want to eat a delicious meal, Troja is the place!

Anyone who has actually eaten in a Turkish restaurant would not eat at Troy again - the food doesn't taste good at all. The only thing that's nice is the decoration and the name!!!!
