I tried breakfast and lunch once, unfortunately I didn't like it at all and Turkish coffee was everything but coffee

Very rude staff. We called early in the morning to reserve a table for breakfast and the woman on the phone said we didn't need a reservation and should just come over. When we got there, a waiter was very disrespectful and treated us in a derogatory way. Then we left. Absolutely disgusting behavior from the waiter. 1 star

Everything is always very tasty, fast and cozy

Good food, nothing to highlight, it took them a long time to take our orders considering that they had almost no people and there were many waiters walking around with nothing to do!

I ordered a surprise bag from to good to go. I paid 10 euros and only got soup, rice and bread. With 10 euros I was even able to buy a plate of kebab.

Troja is one of our favourite places to eat in Wuppertal. Tasty food for reasonable price. Highly recommended especially if you eat a lot.) 🥗🥘🔥 The only disadvantage is that toilets need to be more taken care of.

From the service, the entire service to the food, everything was great. The veal from the Yaprak kebab was tender and without tendons and at the end there was a Turkish tea on the house.

We ate there as a family yesterday and were unfortunately disappointed. The ambience is nice and the waitress was very nice. Unfortunately the chairs are very uncomfortable because you can't lean on them. The salad was carelessly prepared with no dressing and no seasoning. The meat that was supposed to be black angus was completely cooked and tough. It was very white meat, rather young veal, but not angus! The lamb fillet skewers were dry, not what we were used to. All in all, Troy is no longer that Whatever it was, we'd rather go somewhere else next time. Too bad Troy.

Clean, good location, child-friendly, delicious!

We had to wait 45 minutes for the waitress to accept our requests, only to be told 10 minutes later that the breakfast menu was already out, after another 20 minutes we got three soups and the food was then delayed, the soup came first, bread came 5 minutes later, and one person only received his food after everyone had already finished eating. The pide with minced meat and egg first of all had no egg and the minced meat mixture was as if it was unseasoned, left from food specifically to try on a recommendation and simply experienced the autumn disappointment for a long time. Unfortunately, as a connoisseur of oriental cuisine, it was absolutely not satisfactory. Even better coffee would forget the milk, so all in all just a really bad experience. The positive thing was the stylish furnishings and the friendly staff.

The food tasted very good and I can highly recommend the breakfast. The atmosphere was also good, unfortunately the waiter wasn't there! I had 2 guests from abroad with me and we were there for breakfast! we wanted to order our eggs and because we couldn't say omelette in German, we explained it several times (even though we used the well-known word omelette) and he reacted very badly! later when we wanted to pay, the remaining money was 4 euros, he took it as a tip because he thought that we weren't all from here! I didn't say anything at the time because I had strangers with me! but that was totally uncomfortable!

We are often customers here, but what we have just experienced is an absolute disgrace. If the waiter with gray hair, slim build and glasses (a little older) who served on the lower floor today doesn't feel like working, then he should please stay at home. He didn't want to serve us at all and told us to go upstairs, even though there were at least three free tables downstairs. When my mother said that my father (86 years old) couldn't walk up the stairs, he replied again that it was quieter upstairs and we should go upstairs. When we sat down anyway, he obviously didn't like it. My father is visibly frail and only recently fell down the stairs at home, so this just wasn't possible. The gentleman was very unfriendly throughout, slammed the spoon for the starter on the table and took out his frustration on the guests. Dips are always brought with the bread, which everyone else at the table got, except us. The unfriendly waiter said that you only get it if you order a grill plate. But that's not true. We've been going there for years and the dips are always there, no matter what you order. The food (döner plate) was also completely cold today. Whether you simply left the plates there on purpose until they came to the table is now just speculation. We are usually always satisfied, but we have never experienced service like today. How can you be so unfriendly and not responsive to your guests? Someone who behaves like this is damaging the establishment, and the owner should be clear about that. We will NEVER come back.

I was in Troy on February 16, 2025. Unfortunately the food wasn't my cup of tea. Salad without dressing. In my opinion, service could have been quicker, especially with drinks. It wasn't like they were stressed. We were unlucky with the atmosphere. At the next table there was a family with a small child who was screaming like crazy. We would have liked the restaurateur to say something about it. In any case, we didn't have a relaxed meal. We also didn't like the seating, which you can't lean on. The women's toilet was a disaster. We wouldn't go there again.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant to Germans. There is reverse racism here. We are not German, but unfortunately we look like one... And we were treated accordingly. Our food was good, unfortunately we have to wait a long time even though there wasn't much to do, at the beginning we were completely ignored, only when we asked were we allowed to order drinks for which we waited 15 minutes (no cocktails or anything, a Cola, a Sprite, both from the bottle). At the end we wanted to have the leftovers packed up, but at home in the evening we realized that they were someone else's leftovers... a bit disgusting but above all very annoying. We won't be coming back. We imagine service differently. The shop itself is visually very nicely decorated, I really like the lantern lamp, so it's a real shame

Brilliant quality, wonderful, inexpensive but very, very good, own Ayran fountain, best Ayran between Cologne and Berlin. Food very sumptuous, as is part of the culture. The chefs and boss concentrate on a very specific region of Türkiye when it comes to the recipe and preparation, very authentic and successful. Enough space to linger for a long time and celebrate (by arrangement).

I can absolutely recommend TROJA Cafe & Restaurant. Pre-registration is recommended on weekends. It can be a little louder on the ground floor due to kitchen noises, exit and entrance areas. But absolutely great at the top. Catering equally fine. By the way, other dishes on the menu are also recommended, as we tried. Greetings Herbert.

We were there for breakfast. The breakfast offering is very fair in terms of pricing and extremely tasty! The restaurant is beautifully designed and the service is very friendly. The only “point of criticism” is that after the first order, the service took a long time until we could reorder our drinks. We would love to come back!

Full marks for this great restaurant in the heart of Elberfeld! The restaurant is spacious and very nicely designed in the upper area! Maybe the music could have been a little quieter 😇 The service was very friendly and quick! The food was excellent, both in terms of taste, quantity and the price-performance ratio was perfect! When you enter, you first think of a snack bar instead of a restaurant. But then we went to the first floor and then it was clear that we were in the right place. The ambience was okay, a bit of an oriental flair, but a bit old. Service very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen of the guild were rather taciturn and sometimes rude. The background noise was also very unpleasant. The food, on the other hand, was all great and very tasty, there's nothing to complain about 😉 Therefore, you can definitely recommend Troya👍

Guys, to be honest, I haven't been here for two years due to work, but still top quality, super friendly and attentive staff. Anyone who comes to Wuppertal cannot miss the TROJA. It's worth it, just be hungry.

The highlights include black tea and various egg specialties such as scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with sucuk or the traditional menemen - simply delicious! A pot of Çay and orange juice are included in the price, which makes the offer even more attractive. Specialty coffees are also available if you prefer an alternative to tea. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating; we were warmly welcomed immediately upon arrival. The store fills up quickly, which is a sign of its popularity - and rightly so! The price-performance ratio is excellent and the quality is convincing across the board. A real insider tip for an authentic Turkish breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

I come to this restaurant periodically. I like the food. Portions are large. The staff is friendly, almost always available to ask or order something. Clean but very loud (the music from the speakers is so loud that you have to raise your voice so that the other person can hear) Waiters always resolve conflicts in favor of the client, if something happens - for example, we came together and wanted nothing to distract us, but a small child with dirty hands and a frosted mouth constantly climbed on the sofas and often visited us. I really didn't like it, because I wanted peace and to stay in clean clothes. The child's parents did not react to this situation in any way. So, I informed the waiter about my complaint and he resolved everything in 2 minutes. Thank you 🌹 I will come back here again. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Prices are normal.

I dined there with a large group on a crowded Saturday. The ambience was really great. I ordered an iskender plate that I wasn't that thrilled with. I've eaten much better ones. Nonetheless, the other dishes at the table were great. I can recommend the tavuk sis plate. Unfortunately I have to deduct a minus point from the service, everyone had already received their order and I only received my dish 15 minutes later. Even if the store is crowded, you should always bring food to a group at the same time.

After staying in Germany for so long, I have eaten Turkish food from the south to the north, but this restaurant is a good choice for you! The portions are huge and the taste is great, and the Turkish rice is delicious! The lettuce salad is also very refreshing and refreshing. My companion and I each ordered two soups, one Turkish broth and one sheep tripe soup. The only drawback is that the meat in the broth is a bit small and the price is a bit expensive at 6.5 euros. We ate there today with 4 people! The food was absolutely great! We had 2 different starters and 4 different main courses and everything was really good! Small negative point: The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible because 1. Most of the seats are on the 1st floor and 2. The toilet is 1 flight down! Difficult with a walker, impossible with a wheelchair!@

I was disappointed with the restaurant, I ate there with my family, the service took a bit of getting used to, I ordered food completely mixed up, then the worst thing was, the food was spoiled (bulgur/side dish), it also smelled like that and was completely slimy. I'm then allowed to pay in full for the food, and the great service team suffers from deafness. I'm also generous and give tips and take twice, I think it's really cheeky, if I weren't there with my family I would have made a real fuss.

Unser Besuch im Troja Café & Restaurant in Wuppertal war leider eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir kamen zu dritt zum Frühstück und mussten einen gravierenden Vorfall erleben, der jede Empfehlung unmöglich macht. In unserem gebratenen Gemüse beim Frühstück fand sich ein Zigarettenstummel, was dazu führte, dass uns allen der Appetit bilging. Der Schock war groß und ohne viele Worte einigten wir uns mit dem Kellner darauf, das Restaurant zu verlassen. Doch damit endete die unangenehme Situation nicht. Beim Verlassen des Lokals ertönte ein lautstarker Kommentar aus der Küche von einer Frau, der uns unterstellte, das Ganze inszeniert zu haben, um die Zahlung zu Vermeiden. Dies war nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch höchst beleidigend. Ein solches Verhalten und dieser Umgang mit Gästen sind inakzeptabel. Um sicherzustellen, dass entsprechende Maßnahmen ergriffen werden, haben wir eine E-Mail an das zuständige Gesundheitsamt in Wuppertal gesendet. Obwohl wir uns bemüht haben, die Situation nicht eskalieren zu lassen und keine Szene zu machen, bleibt ein bitterer Nachgeschmack. Dieses Erlebnis lässt uns zu dem Schluss kommen, dass wir das Troja Café & Restaurant keinesfalls weiterempfehlen können und definitiv nie wieder besuchen werden. Und noch einmal auf Türkisch, damit es wirklich jeder versteht: Our visit to Troja Café & Restaurant in Wuppertal was unfortunately an extremely disappointing experience. Three of us came for breakfast and encountered a serious incident that cannot be recommended. We found a cigarette butt in the fried vegetables for breakfast and this ruined all our appetites. The shock was great, and without needing to put it into words, we agreed with the waiter to leave the restaurant. However, the disturbing situation did not end there. As we were leaving the restaurant, a loud comment from a woman in the kitchen was heard suggesting that we had deliberately prepared the situation to avoid payment. This situation was both unprofessional and an insult. This kind of behavior and attitude towards guests is unacceptable. We sent an e-mail to the relevant health department in Wuppertal to ensure that the necessary measures were taken. Although we were careful not to escalate the situation or cause a scene, this unpleasantness left a bad mark in our memories. This experience led us to the conclusion that we cannot recommend Troja Café & Restaurant at all and will never visit it again.

The quality of the food was very good. Despite a crowded store on a Saturday evening, we were always served attentively and friendly. The waiting time for the food was about 40 minutes. However, it was well worth it. Side dishes also super fresh. The tea tastes fresh and not stale like you might find elsewhere. Keep it up!

Wow just incredible. Ordered breakfast for two this morning. A bread basket, 1 pot of tea, 2 portions of menemen, 2 glasses of O juice, 1 coffee and 21 bowls with various ingredients were brought to our table. It was way too much. It cost €29.80. It's just a shame that over half of it ended up in the trash because we absolutely didn't manage to eat. You should ask in advance whether you have been there before, then this could have been avoided. The toilets weren't really clean either and at 9:40 a.m.

The West has absolutely great restaurants, here they really make an effort to satisfy the guest. Excellent food - simply something different than the typical kebab shop - oriental cuisine and flair and at really reasonable prices. Unfortunately, some things on the menu were out of stock but that was just a tiny downside. The tea at the end and the two sauces with flatbread at the beginning, which were served free of charge, made up for it sufficiently. If we are in Wuppertal again, we will definitely come back.

After an extensive shopping tour, we returned to Troy. The map is great and clearly laid out. The dishes are authentic, well seasoned and the portion size is almost too big😎 The grill plate was my highlight👍🏻 Moderate prices rounded off our visit and we will definitely come back on our next city trip. Another positive aspect is the really friendly team, which also answers questions in detail.

This Turkish restaurant is a pure delight. Great service, very welcoming, very friebdly and helpful. A cozy atmosphere with a blend of modern and traditional designs. The menu offers a large variety of option with good prices. We went for a larger selection of meze/starters and the lamb ribs. And the food was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommrnd a visit. The restrooms/washroom are down the stairs in the basement. The restaurant is easy to reach in the city centre. Enjoy!

I used to go to the Troy with passion. Today I was there again after a long time to have a nice breakfast. Unfortunately, what I expected and what I had ordered wasn't there. The staff next to you kept opening the window, even though they were made aware of it. Please don't close it do because it was cold. Our breakfast was purely vegetarian and ice cold just like the bread. The tea was good and clearing it away quickly made us feel unwell so we couldn't get to the end and felt like we had to leave quickly. Unfortunately I will have to look for another cafe for my next breakfast place. . Not satisfied this letter goes not only online but also to everyone I know to share my experience here.
