However, on our journey from northern Germany to the Adriatic, shortly before our first stopover, we received news from the engine compartment that we should not continue our journey in the Frenchman who had carried us for the first 600 kilometers. So we ended up in Ingolstadt for a more than involuntary stop. Starved by the exertions of the day and facing an uncertain future, a glimmer of hope in tomato sauce red would soon appear on the horizon. Mario welcomed us with open arms and conjured up the finest pizza and burgers on the table within a few minutes. For my part, I turned to a solid pizza. The Coke from the down-to-earth aluminum can was also impressive.
