Absolutely delicious! The food is really bad

The welcome was extremely friendly and the ordering was very accommodating. Checkered tablecloths as befits a ristorante :-) There are 3 stars for that. Unfortunately it stayed that way because when the restaurant was full, our glasses remained empty until we paid. That was a bit of a shame. The bread and herb butter dip beforehand was very tasty. The pizza was good and there is nothing to complain about, the pasta was also tasty and everything was plentiful and tasty. What really bothered us, and therefore I can unfortunately only give 3 stars for the ambience, was the noise in the restaurant and the toilet. At times it was like being in a train station, all the noises were constantly colliding, dishes clattering, cutlery being thrown in the cutlery tray, all the guests seemed to be talking at the same time (it's really full on Mondays after 6 p.m.!), the dishwasher was making an extremely loud noise (it's just a guess that it could have been a dishwasher). And then there's the kindergarten atmosphere from the children's playroom (hurrah), which has a door (hurray hurray) but the parents preferred to listen to the children's screams right in front of it at the table. It's so annoying when there are several children jumping and screaming at once. We think it's good that there's so much room for the kids to play, but you could also be considerate of other guests and then close the door...there's a glass door with a full glass window next to it, so you can still keep an eye on them ;-) And finally the toilet, where I can only strongly recommend that a "restaurant" repair the flush and, if necessary, carry out a renovation. And be careful when parking on the side in the parking lot directly in front of the restaurant, the regulars will simply park you by standing behind the parked cars on the street. Yes - absolutely. A very nice restaurant with very friendly staff who obviously enjoyed their work. The atmosphere was also very nice. The only negative point was that the meat (rump steak) of my companion was rock hard and my lasagne was tasty but a bit burnt in places. However, my companion was offered another dish without any problem and immediately, which was fine. As an apology there was a free cappucino. In any case, there was a welcome Prosecco and a nightcap when paying. Plus really very reasonable prices - pizza from 11 euros - even in the evening. Absolutely recommended. I think the chef left the food in the oven for too long and the meat in the pan for too long, just as an exception because there was a lot going on. It can happen.

Real hosts work here! I was warmly welcomed with heart and humor in cold, wet weather and loaded with luggage and even received a meal for lunch. Very nice and delicious too! The tiramisu is huge in size, at a hospitable price of 5.50. If you're stranded in Halstenbek like me, you're in good hands with Rocco!

Hardly any parking spaces, super loud, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food because it felt like there was only one waiter there. Food was ok, but not so good that you would do it again.

Everything's great, we'll keep coming back

We have been in the restaurant since 6:00 p.m. So far, it's now 7:30 p.m. we don't have any food. It wasn't surprising that we showed up with 7 people, but had reserved the table two days in advance. It was a challenge for my 11 year old grandson to wait for food. Our food came at 7:40 p.m. The 3 pizzas were OK, the lasagna was very good. The pasta with porcini mushrooms was a bit small, and the salad with duck breast didn't live up to expectations either. The meat rolls with spinach and mozzarella filling were rock hard, they couldn't be cut with a knife and there was no salt. The Lambrusco served was apparently a different type, it tasted completely different (worse) than on our last visit 4 weeks ago. As a small compensation, my grandson received a large scoop of chocolate ice cream, and the adults were served a double Sambuca.

We celebrated my mother's 87th birthday with 13 people. Really great service. We were all treated to a Prosecco and my mother got a tiramisu and a coffee. Appetizer platters were very tasty. The main courses were also well received

Great lunch, and like a short vacation in Italy! The large, covered terrace allows you to enjoy the great atmosphere despite being close to the street.

Attractive restaurant, you feel comfortable

We ordered a rocket pizza and a calzone with two small changes and took it with us. From ordering to receiving the pizzas, everything went wonderfully. Quickly and without problems. The arugula and parmesan were even added extra so that it doesn't get soggy. You can't complain about the taste.

We had dinner there yesterday with the whole family. My highlight were the crespelle. But the pizza and desserts were all very tasty. The Italian staff was extremely friendly and the prices were reasonable. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Have been there 3 or 4 times in the last few months and always satisfied. In contrast to other reviewers, I find the prices to be mostly reasonable to affordable. Especially the pasta dishes and pizzas. But there are also negative outliers, such as the fish plate. We always enjoyed the food very much. The service was fine. A glass of champagne to welcome you and a “shorter” on the house at the end. It's not very quiet in the restaurant. But that didn't bother us. Overall, a solid four stars. Addendum: After being disappointed with the daily specials (a pasta dish each) for the third time, I now have to correct the review. There was rigatoni with chanterelles and salsiccia. You actually eat this Italian sausage without the skin, especially when you fry it and use it for sauces. Unfortunately there were four rough pieces with skin that was like rubber. Ultimately you couldn't eat the sausage. You had to look for the chanterelles. This time we sat in the back area where the children have their play space. It wasn't just unbearably loud because of the children.

My absolute RECOMMENDATION! Everything is just right here! Ambience, service, food and drinks. Dogs are welcome and we will definitely celebrate our next wedding anniversary here again. Thanks to everyone who gave us an unforgettable evening ❣️

We went there for the first time on our anniversary because it always looked good from the outside. Accordingly, we had high expectations, which were definitely met. At the beginning there was sparkling wine, bread with delicious herb butter and a fresh foccacia. The daily recommendation from the house, from fresh fish to pasta, couldn't be beat. The food was super tasty, arrived quickly and highly recommended. But you have to like the Italian atmosphere/ambience and the togetherness 😅 it was quite loud in the restaurant, even though there weren't that many customers there. We'll definitely be back, the food was simply great and the price was right.

First-class Italian with great pasta products! Pizzas not quite perfect, but very good! You feel very comfortable here, everyone says hello, there is a welcome champagne and delicious homemade bread with great butter. Edited on September 22nd. Apparently new chefs at Rocco, the pasta dishes are very oily and not as creamy as before.

We were with you for the first time today. What can I say ? We will be back! Great welcome. Great atmosphere. A welcome champagne, and bread with garlic butter to snack on 👍🏻 "our" waiter attentive...that's how it should be. Even though he had enough to do. The portions just right! There were 11 people in the restaurant, after 1 1/2 hours the food finally came, 1 meal was wrong, the boss was extremely unfriendly towards the guests. You won't see any of us here again

A disappointing visit today for my mother's birthday. We only got our food after 90 minutes and after repeated requests. A dish came out wrong and was then accepted so that we didn't have to wait forever for a correction. But the food was very tasty. However, the response to our questions was very annoyed and my 6-year-old daughter, who ordered a drink at the counter to bridge the waiting time, was roughly shooed aside. In the women's toilet there was no soap and no toilet paper. I pointed this out to the waiter when I returned. The children's play area is a bit loveless. Messy (okay, maybe due to the kids not cleaning up) but there are a lot of dolls lying around without legs and heads. It doesn't have to be like that. Overall, the team seemed a bit overwhelmed, and people at the neighboring tables also complained about the waiting time. We won't be coming back. Too bad

We were registered with 11 people. After over 1.5 hours we received our food. Sometimes it wasn't as ordered. Service was extremely bad.

Completely overcrowded, service overwhelmed, waited 1.5 hours and then the food was only half through. And none of the bosses manage to come to the table, they send the poor waitress ahead.

Prices were ok (except for the boring starter platter for 3 people = 28 euros). The pasta and pizza tasted great. The waiter was terribly hectic and not friendly.

Very unfriendly service Music was extremely loud..please turn it down..was turned around grumpily. Later a reservation sign was slapped on our table without saying anything and then tables were moved next to us. We could have been told that our table was reserved from a certain time onwards. But we felt like we were being kicked out. Also that the bottles were sorted extremely loudly into the boxes at the counter. All in all...even though the food wasn't particularly great...Rocco was a smooth 6th... The service was zero customer oriented. Definitely not a recommendation Birgit D.

We've been to Rocco's several times. The noise in the restaurant, caused by excessively loud music and the guests sitting close together, is now really unbearable. Hectic, unfriendly service, wrong dessert brought (not for the first time) and incorrectly billed. Noticeable: regular guests are served more friendly...for us it was the last time we were at Rocco's...a shame...

Super tasty pizza, very friendly staff, happy to come again at any time

We've eaten there many times and, except for this time, we've always been very satisfied. But what we got to eat last time was just a disgrace. Among other things, rack of lamb and beef fillet with asparagus were offered on the daily menu. The lamb cart consisted almost entirely of bones; you really had to look for the meat. Since I was expecting a beef fillet that was about 3cm thick, I asked when I ordered that it not be served bloody. When it came, it wasn't a thick, round fillet as expected, but more of a normal steak. Plus, when I cut it, it was completely raw inside! So I had it returned again. When it came back better and hot, I was finally able to eat. I've never eaten such a bad fillet. Partly mixed and of poor quality. It seemed to me as if leftovers were being used here. The asparagus was green asparagus, so fibrous that I couldn't even cut it. So I left half of it lying around. And both dishes cost almost €30! Even though I pointed out when paying that the food wasn't good, we weren't even offered anything. At the neighboring table, however, a whole round was served. From this I conclude that we are not important enough as a paying customer. It's actually a shame, I loved being there, but that was the last time for me! I would also like to note that the restaurant was not full, so there was no stress.

Italian restaurant with lunch menu and selected dishes. We ate excellent lamb and tasty penne with eggplant. Thanks to the nice weather we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun.

Were eating there for the first time. Everything tasted good. We were served quickly. There is Jever on tap :-) Bread was served with a homemade butter dip. We particularly liked the rustic furnishings. The prices are OK. Parking spaces are convenient right in front of the door.

Were there with a larger group. Service and ambience okay. FOOD unfortunately absolutely tasteless for everyone, no spices……… never eaten so badly. Prices okay, but not for this kind of food

Pasta overcooked and tasteless for €15.50, pizza wobbly, starter not as described on the menu (monkfish was completely missing and Sachs was tasteless (apparently frozen)) we won't be going there again! Ambience is actually ok but very loud and even if you make a reservation and say that you would like to sit on the edge, you are seated somewhere! You can have a much nicer meal somewhere else for €60!

Leckere Pizza, mittelprächtiges Bier. Ein schöner, aber voller Laden, der die drei Servcekräfte an den Rand der Belastungsgrenze bringt. Die Auslastung des Restaurants lässt auch keine entspannte Essensatmosphäre aufkommen. Man ist fast froh, dem Trubel zu entkommen, wenn man aufgegessen hat. Absolutely normal, nothing special!

Das Essen ist sehr gut und man wird mehr als satt. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise und jeweils ein Hauptgericht und leider wieder kein Dessert weil der Bauch schon voll war. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist auch sehr schön und sauber. Die Musik im Hintergrund ist nicht penetrant laut und trägt zu Charm bei. Die Weinauswahl ist klein aber langt. Ein tolles italienisches Restaurant welches sehr gutes Essen zu angenehmen Preisen serviert.

Disappointing - food boring, neither pleasing to the eye nor to the taste buds. Service also mediocre, polite, not particularly motivated or trying. Dessert loveless and without any esprit. Ambience average and just as loveless as the rest. Never again.

An evening with the motto: I've never experienced anything like that! We were there with a larger group, but had reserved in advance. Drinks came after 20 minutes, bread only came when asked, food came after 1.5 hours and unfortunately the taste was not good. Sometimes we had to change our minds because there didn't seem to be any pizza. The neighboring table got pizza 30 minutes later... One dish was then completely forgotten and some guests who came after us received their food before us. It can happen that something doesn't "go smoothly", but we were unfortunately very disappointed to receive unfriendly and annoyed reactions from the staff when we asked questions instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. We won't be coming back again!

The quality of the food was mediocre and sometimes cold. The portions were far too small - but outrageously expensive. The service...wow...arrogant and absolutely incompetent. Every snack bar has more style. A total failure! I never want to go there again.

Service? None! We were in the restaurant with a large group and were not served well. The food took over an hour to arrive, the order had to be changed several times and individual dishes were simply forgotten. The portions of the same dishes differed greatly from each other and were not particularly tasty. The waiter ignored us for long stretches and only delivered bread or took orders for drinks when we asked. The long waiting time and the poor service were rounded off by clearing away while people were still eating at the table... Gladly not again!

Very bad experience 👎 Was there twice: once and never again. The ambience is terribly loud and more like a canteen than a restaurant. Tables, chairs and place settings are absolutely cheap stuff. Broccoli soup, pizza and the "medallions" (which are not defined in detail on the menu) taste like absolutely nothing. The broccoli soup seems "greasy" when you eat it - I don't even know how to describe it. The medallions too. There, however, it wasn't the meat but the avocado side dish. Neutral in taste and greasy. The meat was dry. The pizza was given a bit of life by the salami. Was spicy. No trace of “spicy” as noted on the map. The vegetable side dish was ice cold and, no surprise: also completely tasteless. Drinks are all stated on the menu as 0.2l. You can probably order more, but the price will of course look correspondingly steep. The prices are generally really high. Unlike the courts. Will not be considered again!

The service was very nice, but didn't speak any German. The food was very disappointing. The pasta sauce was bland and the scampi was dry. I would have expected more from an Italian restaurant. But the brushetta was very good.

As always, it was delicious and cozy. We also like to use the lunch menu, at fair prices.

Das Essen ist lecker und reichlich. Man wird mit ein Glas Prosecco begrüßt und es gibt ein Schapps zum Abschied. Was mir nicht gefällt ist der Lärmpegel und das der Chef sein Personal lautstark und vor den Gästen ausschimpft.

Ich liebe dieses italienische Restaurant ! Das Essen ist lecker und die Bedienung - auch wenn offensichtlich gerade sehr viel los ist - bleibt immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Obwohl es dort auch mal recht trubelig sein kann, fühlen wir uns dort sehr wohl. Immer wieder gerne!

Gesmacklich gut, aber die Schludrigkeit beim Putzen der Pfanne hat uns Überraschung im Essen bereitet. Ein Stück vom Putzschwamm war im Essen.

Der vielleicht schnellste Italiener? Wir genossen eine Woche ohne Kinder und gingen eines Abends hier essen. Von der Tischauswahl bis zur Rechnung hat es kaum eine Stunde gebraucht. Gleichwohl waren Pizza und Pasta ganz excellent und lecker. Der Service war unaufdringlich, aber sofort zur Stelle. Ein schöner, wenn auch kurzer Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nach langer Suche nach einen Restaurant mit Parkplatz haben wir das gefunden und sind einfach begeistert 🥰 ein schönes Geburtstag essen da gehabt kann ich mit guten Gewissen weiter empfehlen und freue ich auf nächste Mal

Der Mittagstisch ist immer wieder molto bene 🤩 Zu Beginn gibt es Ciabatta Brot mit Kräuterbutter, gefolgt von einem kleinen Salat. Meine Wahl fiel auf Spaghetti al forno, serviert in einer Pfanne. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Espresso aufs Haus👍

Essen war eine 4 von 10. War wirklich nichts besonderes. Service war wirklich super nett und bemüht! Was aber ein absolutes No-Go war, ist das Rauchen vor dem Eingang mit offener Tür. Der Rauch zog ins Restaurant, sodass man sich wie in einem Aschenbecher gefühlt hat. Das muss wirklich nicht sein! Ich rauche selbst jahrelang Zigaretten, weiß aber trotzdem, dass nicht jeder raucht und es nicht unbedingt jeder riechen möchte.

Großartiger Italiener , super aufmerksames freundliches Personal. Das Essen ist einfach nur großartig. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Im großen und ganzen einfach top 👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊😍😍😍

Wir sind mit dem Essen und der Bedienung sehr zufrieden. Wünsche werden auch erfüllt bei der Wahl des Gerichts ,(extras)alles bestens 👍👍 Schnelle Bedienung, wenn es mal nicht so funktioniert wie man es gerne hätte.....das kommt überall mal vor wenn man mal ganz erlich ist. Es gibt erheblich bessere Italiener in der Region! Wir haben die Wahl, gehen also dort nicht wieder hin!

Wir Essen hier praktisch einmal die Woche. Das Essen ist sehr gut und beim Mittagstisch ist Preis/Leistung unschlagbar. Die Kellner sind alle sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir kommen hier wirklich gerne.
