A cozy restaurant with a family atmosphere. All dishes, whether fish or meat, are perfectly prepared. The pizzas are the best I've ever had. Opening April 28, 2025, at a new location on Karlsruher Straße. The food remains excellent here, too.

Since the restaurant has been there, we residents have been lacking parking spaces and vehicles regularly block the footpath and cycle path in front of the restaurant.

Our favorite restaurant! Delicious food and the owners are simply wonderful. We feel very comfortable there. Our recommendations are the pizza with spicy salami, the mixed appetizer plate, the pasta with porcini mushrooms, lasagna, and the tiramisu.

Very crowded, very loud. The food was okay, but the prices for wine, meat, and fish were very high.

Very good Italian cuisine, prepared with taste and love. The service is good and very personal. The ambiance (the restaurant is very noisy) is being changed at short notice, according to information. Highly recommended for guests who expect more than just being "fobbed off."

Everything's been great so far—as always—even at the new location. But what's the pricing on the wine list? €9.20—a very confident price for a glass of wine.

We had to wait exactly 75 minutes for the food (pizza and pasta) at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday, which is completely unacceptable. The food was okay, but the value for money was not right at all. Different knives for cutting the pizza would have been desirable. The owner was super nice and friendly.

Really not recommended, after 1.5 hours the food still hadn't arrived, it was good but the waiting time and the service just ruined the whole experience.

We waited over an hour and a half for five simple pizzas. Tables that arrived after us were served food before us. When we asked when our food would arrive, we were told "Right away" twice. When we paid, we asked about the long wait, and there were only half-hearted excuses and not even an apology. The food was okay, but not worth the effort, and the experience ruined our mood and our evening plans.

I just wouldn't recommend it unless you have at least 3-4 hours to spare.

Mimma & Mimmo & Team As soon as you enter the restaurant, you're greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere. You're greeted with a smile, making you feel completely welcome from the very first moment. The service is attentive, friendly, and always there, without being intrusive—just the right blend of professionalism and warmth. The food is simply outstanding. Each dish is freshly prepared and presented with great attention to detail. The authenticity of the dishes is particularly impressive—here, you can taste Italy on your plate. If you love Italian cuisine, you shouldn't miss this treat—highly recommended! It's best to make a reservation in advance!

I usually refrain from writing reviews, but someone is too cowardly to even give their name and writes such nonsense. Hello "No Name," if you have no clue, you shouldn't comment. A salad from a packet is far too expensive for a restaurant. We've been guests at "Mamma Nina" for several years, whether on Monning or now on Karlsruher Strasse, and we've never received old food. Whenever we have visitors and ask where we should go for dinner, the answer is always "Mamma Nina." When asked why, it's because the food tastes excellent and the quality is outstanding, whether it's fish, meat, pizza, penne, or salad.

The pizza was good, but the salad was unfortunately made of iceberg lettuce drenched in instant sauce, just like you'd find in a fast-food restaurant, and the truffle pasta was greasy, overcooked, and unseasoned. The mixed vegetable appetizer was, unfortunately, just a small plate of antipasti swimming in oil. Overall, disappointing for the relatively high price. The staff tried hard, but were overwhelmed by a fully-packed restaurant. Disappointing because they spent a lot of money for little service and didn't really care about criticism, despite full plates when clearing away.

Great food. Everything was fresh. I highly recommend the tiramisu, a must-try.

The pizzas are great and the pasta is good too. What's not great, however, is the salad. In my case, it was the Sallat Capriciosa. Tomatoes were very soft (old), there was half an egg, and you had to hunt for the tuna. Furthermore, the salad isn't freshly cut, but rather pre-made salad from a bag (I use it myself when I want to quickly make a salad at home). The ambiance is very nice, but the small space makes it very noisy. The staff is very friendly.

The restaurant has a problem with the appointments. We had to wait 15 minutes in front of the door even though we had already made a reservation for 10 people, and the people there had little interest in helping us at the beginning and said that it was normal to wait up to 10 minutes! It was really strange and uncomfortable with the people we invited. They probably don't have enough power when the restaurant is full.

Tasty food. I was here with my friends who visited me from Switzerland. We had a delicious meal that I can say was better than all restaurantthe experience I have had in the past. The restaurant doesn't have big space and posh building but I was meant to understand that they have built a standard space and due to relocate the restaurant to the new place.

We have stayed with these excellent hosts quite often. The atmosphere is very cozy, the “new” location will certainly be a little brighter and more modern. The greeting like with friends...this is how a nice evening with family and friends can begin. Removing individual dishes is nonsense: from the starters to the espressos, everything was as you wished. The service is present, not annoying. The prices are completely ok and reasonable. We felt welcome at all times and will remain loyal to the future location.

A traditional Italian restaurant partly located in a half-timbered house. Large selection of dishes (3 risotto dishes alone) as well as a varied seasonal menu. Great large dessert menu with lots of tartufi and parfaits. Food very good, service too.

Sehr nette Menschen arbeiten hier. Es ist gemütlich und die Pizzen haben lecker geschmeckt. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten und das Essen kommt relativ schnell. Vorab gibt es Brot mit Butter vom Haus und zum Abschluss ein Schnäpschen. Wir kannten es nicht und kommen garantiert wieder her .

Absolut super! Sehr gemütliche Räume, in einem wunderschönen alten Fachwerkhaus. Von innen wie in einer italienischen Trattoria in Italien selbst. Ein bisschen Urlaub in Duisburg 😊 Familienbetrieb! Alle sehr freundlich und natürlich. Die familiäre Stimmung ist spürbar. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und zugehörig. Jeder Tisch war besetzt. Was ja schon mal ein gutes Zeichen ist. Das Essen und der Wein waren ausgezeichnet. Der offene Wein war trocken, vollmundig und weich im Abgang.... Man wurde nicht mit einer Billigvariante abgespeist, was bei offenen Weinen ja gerne schon mal passiert. Das Essen war sehr gut zubereitet und schmackhaft, mit natürlichen Gewürzen, guten Ölen und frischen Zutaten. Sehr empfehlenswert sind die gemischten Vorspeisen. Aber auch die Nudel- und Pizzagerichte waren top. Gut gewürzt und nicht fade. Auch der kräftige Espresso war toll, ebenso wie der sehr weiche, milde Limoncello zum Abschluss. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut stimmig. Man sollte vorher reservieren. Sehr lohnenswert und 100 Prozent empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke, für den schönen Abend. 💐

Ein wunderbarer Italiener! Eine sehr gute Speisekarte, Essen wie in Italien und das ganze in einem geschichtsträchtigen, über 700 Jahre alten Haus. Fazit: auf jeden Fall sehr erlebenswert! Wenn man in der Nähe ist, sollte man sich einen Besuch nicht entgehen lassen!

Super italienische Küche, netter Service

Pizzen bekommt man ja gefühlt an jeder dritten Ecke, wenn man aber Lust hat, für eine richtig gute Pizza in ein Lokal zu gehen, ist man hier hervorragend aufgehoben und lässt dabei kaum mehr Geld, als in "Lieferdienst-Pizzerien". Außerdem finden sich hier einige ausgefallenere Pizzakreationen, wodurch man sich hier noch mehr von dem Einheitsbrei abhebt. Die Pizzen sind reichlich belegt und die Zutaten waren sehr frisch. Das Personal war sehr lebensfroh, freundlich und vorbildlich und obwohl man hier direkt an einer Hauptstraße draußen sitzt, kann man sehr gut und gemütlich essen, reden und einen netten Abend verbringen und wenn es einem doch zu laut sein sollte, findet man im Innenraum gemütlich Platz.

Nettes italienisches Restaurant. Bei mir gab es Pizza, zwei alkohfreie Weizen und ein Tartuffo zum Nachtisch. Die Auswahl an Pizzen ist recht hoch, womit jeder etwas finden sollte. - Am Nachbartisch gab es Fisch, der sehr gut aus sah. Nach dem Verhalten nehme ich an, dass er auch gut gemundet hat, insofern muss es nicht zwingend Pizza sein. Bon Appetit!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei Mamma Nina und kann nur sagen, die Pizze waren ein Tŕäumchen. Ebenso das Bruschetta das ich mir mit meiner Frau vorweg geteilt habe. Man merkt, dass die Speisen wirklich mit viel Liebe und Engagement gemacht sind. Für den Koch scheint der Beruf eher eine Berufung zu sein. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und wirklich nett, fast schon familiär. Die Preise für Speisen und Getränke bewegen sich im ganz normalen fairen Segment. Das war ganz sicher nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir bei Mamma Nina waren
