Trattoria La Cenetta in Berlin

We were there a year ago. Great service, excellent pizza, and a pleasant atmosphere. We wish we had a restaurant like that back home in Nuremberg. We'll definitely eat there again on our next visit to Berlin.

A small Italian restaurant in the hinterland of Kurfürstendamm, serving authentic Italian cuisine. The dishes are delicious and prepared with care. The new owner is very friendly, accommodates special requests, and makes sure her guests feel welcome. I love visiting this restaurant.

This was amazing! The people were really kind and welcoming! Their pasta is the best i have ever tasted and so was the dessert. Vi got free bread and the prices was worth the food.

Pizza Diavolo with Gazi feta cheese, and the salad is also made with it. I don't know any Italians who use feta in their dishes. Pasta with beef strips (more like leftovers), shrimp, and instead of cream sauce, the pasta was very oily.

They are liars! I ordered the most expensive antipasti on the menu, they brought me vegetables and 50 grams of meat alone! For 18 euros! The chef argued that this was normal! I am simply shocked! I eat in restaurants every day and I am a cook and I know my stuff! They are just swindlers, that's all! This dish should cost a maximum of 8 euros!

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ My visit to this restaurant was an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience. The elderly waiter, who was apparently also the owner, behaved rudely and disrespectfully from the start. My companion was simply ignored when ordering – the menu was taken directly from her hand. Instead, we were pressured to order quickly. The only explanation given was that we could "order again later," which is completely unprofessional. Particularly unacceptable: The service was not only unfriendly, but we found the behavior clearly discriminatory. This is absolutely no way to treat guests. The poor attitude was also evident in the food: The pizza was simply shared without consultation, as if it were a given that it would be eaten together. Furthermore, it looked as if a slice had been cut out of the middle of the pizza – making the dish seem very small and completely out of all proportion to the price. A simple funghi pizza was charged €12, which is completely unjustified. The restaurant's ambiance was the only positive, but it didn't even begin to make up for the poor experience. Conclusion: Rude and discriminatory service, arbitrary handling of orders, and significantly overpriced, questionable food. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Super fine little Italian restaurant, outwardly inconspicuous, delicious fresh food.. delicious wine and typically Italian inside... with starters and main course plus drinks, absolutely good value for money.. and a good 2 hours there.. at the end we were served delicious homemade limocello

A down-to-earth, family-run trattoria. Nothing fancy, just home-style cooking. We had vitello tonnato as a starter, followed by chicken breast in a cognac-pepper cream sauce. Both were incredibly good. We had a delicious meal. And the service was attentive, which isn't the norm everywhere these days. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

The ambience was typically Italian, and quiet. Already romantic. Old Italian music played discreetly in the background. A dream. For five people we paid 90EUR - completely acceptable. The restaurant offers a large selection of food, including alcohol as an additive, but you can also do it without it. The service was great. Discreet and friendly. Thanks! I had dinner in this lovely restaurant today with an acquaintance. Dropped by spontaneously without a reservation. The food was very good. Both the Carbonara and the Pizza Margherita. I can definitely recommend it.

Small cozy trattoria with fantastic food. I would recommend reservation. Nice service, in the group we had salads, vitallo tonnato and mussels, the venison goulash and pizza. Every dish was lovingly and attractively prepared and tasted just as great. We would love to come back here.

A very comfortably furnished Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and helpful. Great! The price/performance ratio is excellent. There were excellent daily specials that are not on the menu. Very good wines and delicious desserts round off the offer. Hopefully the restaurant will still be there when we come back to Berlin next year. Thank you for the lovely evenings.

Very tasty Tattoria, excellent food, beautifully served. Tagliatelle mare e Monti and ragú with venison goulash were great... definitely recommended. The restaurant is small, so you should make a reservation... or go a little later.

Absolutely delicious food, great wait staff, lovely atmosphere. I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted out of all the delicious options but I got a creamy mushroom/beef/prawn pasta dish that was absolutely delicious 🥰 bruschetta and caprese salad were also incredible. 10/10 recommend!

Really good experience. Super service - sweet and smiling - and the food came after a short wait. Simple - honest and very well prepared dishes of really good quality. Can really be recommended.

I've been here twice and it has now become my favorite place in Berlin. The atmosphere and the service, the conversations with the staff, that makes it complete. I understood that it is a family restaurant and that is clearly visible. Very friendly and very good and fast service. The food is really great. With the candles on the table and the lights around it, it really is a wonderful place in the evening. And the homemade limoncello is definitely recommended as a ending.

Ein sehr schönes italienisches Restaurant mit ausgewogener Speisekarte, interessanten Weinen und sehr freundlichem Service. Das Rinderfilet sehr schmackhaft, die Scaloppine wunderbar und das Pistazien Panacotta himmlisch- der sardische Weißwein mundete,der Inhaber äußerst freundlich und die Sitzplätze im Sommer unter Bäumen auf der Terrasse luftig und frisch. Das alles zu einem sehr guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis- gerne wieder.

I've been living in the corner for a year and I've been to the restaurant probably 6-7 times. It was very good every time. The service and all other employees are very friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend this restaurant.

A very nice Italian restaurant with a balanced menu, interesting wines and very friendly service. The fillet of beef was very tasty, the scaloppine was wonderful and the pistachio panacotta was heavenly - the Sardinian white wine was delicious, the owner was extremely friendly and the seating under the trees on the terrace in summer was airy and fresh. All of this at a very good price/performance ratio - would be happy again.

Never eaten at such a good Italian restaurant, everything was of top quality, no chichi but honest, authentic cuisine. In particular, the dessert, tartufo ice cream with espresso and Baileys, was a combination I had never had before and tasted excellent. For the starter we shared an antipasti place, not with the usual stuff on it but a successful mix of the separately offered starters. The service was very friendly and attentive, but at the same time not intrusive. A really great chance find 🤗

Perfect Italian cuisine as it should be. Pizzas are well topped and nicely seasoned. It was the first time for me but certainly not the last time. The service is spontaneous and friendly. No go go.

We are on vacation here in Berlin and have followed the recessions when choosing a restaurant. Apparently the best Italian in Berlin...we as holidaymakers can't judge that. But we were really excited. Nice service and absolutely delicious food. Price/performance completely ok. The statement from my father-in-law (who has traveled all over the world in recent years): I had my best pizza so far in Crete. But this Frutti di Mare was way better. Therefore...highly recommended.

Kleines, gemütliches Restaurant in Ku’dammnähe, in dem einfach alles stimmt. Das Bier wird hervorragend gezapft und die Pizzen sind himmlisch lecker und außerordentlich gut belegt. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Ein Gruß an das Küchenpersonal, welches den extra Knoblauch immer so liebevoll hackt. Der Chef führt das Restaurant mit viel Herz. Hier sind selbst die Tischdecken mit viel Liebe selbstgemacht. Wir sind mittlerweile zur Stammkundschaft geworden. Das „La Cenetta“ ist einfach ein Ort, an dem man sich immer wohlfühlt.

Small, cozy restaurant near the Ku’damm where everything is just right. The beer is excellent on tap and the pizzas are heavenly delicious and extremely well topped. The staff is attentive and very accommodating. A shout out to the kitchen staff who always chop the extra garlic so lovingly. The boss runs the restaurant with a lot of heart. Here even the tablecloths are homemade with a lot of love. We have now become regular customers. “La Cenetta” is simply a place where you always feel comfortable.

Es stimmt hier einfach sehr vieles auf richtige Art und Weise. Der Umfang der Speisekarte ist genau richtig, die Gerichte sind wunderbar gelungen. Der Eigentümer ist gleichzeitig ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Also was will man mehr erwarten. Wir bedanken uns für einen phantastischen Abend und versprechen auf jeden Fall wieder zu kommen. Tausend Dank für ein perfektes Abendessen.

We have never written such a superlative in a review before, so we are all the more conscious of the fact that for us this restaurant is the best Italian in Berlin. We not only take into account the food, but also the quiet and very pleasant atmosphere, the excellent and extremely friendly service. A lot of things are just right here in the right way. The scope of the menu is just right, the dishes are wonderfully successful. The owner is also a wonderful host. So what more could you expect. We would like to thank you for a fantastic evening and definitely promise to come back. Thank you so much for a perfect dinner.

Delicious food, bruschetta and the antipasto mista starter. Rigatone, pizza diavolo, calimari and something from the special. Tiramisu and something tasty in a bath from Baileys. Grappa on the house and wine and drinks. Good price-quality ratio! Recommended.

Wanted pizza or pasta and needed to find a restaurant near to our hotel (we were knackered after 3 full days of sightseeing!) Found this in a list of 10 best Italian restaurants in Berlin, less than 10 minutes from our hotel in Charlottenburg. Didn't book a table, thankfully they were still able to accommodate us on a fairly busy Friday evening. WOW!! The service is so friendly, homely even! Such a charming place, family run, mum dad and daughter was there this Friday and blew our socks off! Pizzas were some of the best I ever had, the pasta that came out of the kitchen looked amazing! Our desserts were super yummy! Honestly one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to outside Italy! Thanks for a fantastic evening!!

We spontaneously decided to visit this restaurant as part of our short vacation in Berlin and were not disappointed. It is a small but fine restaurant with a very attentive owner and friendly service. Food and drinks were served quickly and a children's portion of pasta with tomato sauce was even prepared for our little daughter (4 years old), which is not on the menu. Class! The dishes (Pizza Tonno & Spaghetti Con Gamberetti E Zuccini) were delicious and more than filled us up. The rest was happily packed up. So we can only recommend this restaurant. Small, cozy and with a really great price-performance ratio! Thumbs up, we'd love to come back.

Schon seit Kindesbeinen immer wieder hier gewesen, auch nach dem Umzug aus der Gasteiner Straße. Die Pizza dort ist bis heute mein relevantester Maßstab für italienisches Essen. Der Inhaber, der auch im hohen Alter noch selber die Bedienung macht ist eher ruhig, aber immer äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Charaktervoll, aber nicht zu klischeebehaftet eingerichtet, punktet das Restaurant mit dem Ambiente und einer obendrein angenehmen Akustik.

War ein spontaner Besuch dort gewesen und wir waren sehr erstaunt wie gut das Essen dort war. Auch Preis Leistung Top. Das Essen ist sehr authentisch und auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Bruschetta und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

We were fortunate to get a table last minute in a Thursday night. Family run restaurant with an Italian father and a German mother. Our service and food were excellent and authentic. They were very friendly and the food was delicious. I felt like it was good value and fresh. I will come here during my next visit to this area (Wilmersdorf, not exactly sure).

Service und Ambiente fand ich gut. Ich hatte eine Pizza, die an sich auch geschmeckt hat. Nur war der Boden mit dem Messer kaum zu schneiden. Das ist dann nicht so ganz mein Fall.

Wir waren mit Freunden aus Hamburg dort abends essen. Eine vorherige Tischreservierung würde ich empfehlen, es ist ein kleines, niedliches Restaurant. Der reservierte Tisch war super für uns gewählt, da wir unsere kleine Cocker-Spaniel-Hündin dabei hatten, sie hatte hinter dem Tisch super viel Platz. Sehr umsichtig von den Betreibern! 👌 Die Bedienung war freundlich, unaufdringlich, aber dennoch aufmerksam. Der vermeintliche Chef des Hauses hat ein paar Späße gemacht, alles sehr sympathisch und gar nicht aufgesetzt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Das Ambiente ist schlicht, aber sehr authentisch. Das Essen hat allen hervorragend geschmeckt! Wir hatten Bruscetta, Rindercarpaccio, Pasta mit pikanter Salami, Pizza mit Sardellen etc., also einmal quer durch die Karte war alles dabei. Die Karte ist überschaubar, aber die Qualität der Speisen hoch! Pasta und Pizza waren sehr lecker! Wir werden definitiv wieder einkehren! Vielen Dank für einen sehr schönen Abend!

Ich kam in das Restaurant in dem noch ziemlich viele Sitze leer waren. Als ich dem Besitzer sagte, dass ich gerne in der Ecke an dem kleinen Tisch sitzen würde, informierte er mich, dass gleich sechs Gäste kommen würden und man dort die Tische zusammenstellen würde. Er sagte, ich solle an dem kleinen Tisch Platz nehmen, der genau dort ist, wo der Hauptgang ist und daher ständig Leute dort vorbei gehen. Ich sagte dann, dass ich lieber woanders sitzen würde. Daraufhin starrt mich der Besitzer an und sagt nichts. Ich dachte, dass er mich vielleicht nicht gehört hat und wiederholte meinen Wunsch, woanders zu sitzen. Wieder keine Reaktion des Besitzers der mich wieder einfach anstarrte. Daraufhin sagte ich: "Dann eben nicht. Und tschüss". Wieder keine Reaktion des Besitzers. So ein unfreundlicher Laden ist mir selten vorgekommen. Nie wieder.

Our first visit to Berlin. We are a family that loves everything from Italian cuisine: Pizza, Pasta, grill, wine and the evocative mind of the arch-Italian. We found this gem through other good recommendations on Google, and therefore ventured out for a visit. We were very well received in a personal and gastronomic way. And we'll definitely be back before we leave town. Thank you very much for a fantastic experience and we look forward to seeing you again.

We found this place just off the main shopping road in Berlin. It was terrific. The food was great and the service was great as well. If you are looking for a break from pork knuckles on your next sojourn to Berlin and want to avoid the local tourist traps this is the place to go.
