Tolle Atmosphäre und ganz leckeres italienisches Eis! Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Bewertung: 2 Sterne Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von zehn Personen dort und leider war unsere Erfahrung insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Obwohl wir schon lange im Voraus angemeldet waren, wurden wir bei unserer Ankunft nicht begrüßt, und es dauerte sehr lange, bis wir überhaupt unsere Getränke bestellen konnten. Die Wartezeiten waren enorm: Zwischen der Bestellung des Hauptgangs und dem Servieren vergingen rund 90 Minuten. Zudem wurden falsche Gerichte geliefert, und Anpassungen an den Bestellungen wurden nur teilweise berücksichtigt. Auch die Portionsgrößen waren enttäuschend klein im Verhältnis zum Preis. Beispielsweise war ein Pasta-Gericht nur mit Trüffelöl statt echtem Trüffel zubereitet. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war insgesamt nicht angemessen, etwa bei einem Rinderfilee-Gericht, das mit 25 Euro zu Buche schlug, aber sehr kleine Portionen und zähes Fleisch bot. Beim Bezahlen wurden Beschwerden nur halbherzig aufgenommen, was den negativen Gesamteindruck noch verstärkt hat. Alles in allem war der Besuch sehr frustrierend, und wir hoffen, dass das Restaurant in Zukunft an Service und Qualität arbeitet.

Das Essen war nicht zufriedenstellend. Die Nudeln nicht durch, die Pizza glich einem Knäckebrot nur dünner und meine Lasagne hat schlechteren Geschmack als eine fertig Lasagne und die Portion für 15€ schon Eher was für Rentner im hohen Alter. Leider in dem Moment nicht an ein Foto gedacht, nur Frust. Die größe der Lasagne lag bei Circa 8x8x3 cm, trocken ausgedrögt. Das ist schon dreist so etwas zu Servieren. Hier Nie wieder. Laut Bedienung ist das dort Normal. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Nicht wirklich empfehlenswert. Pizza steinhart und Besteck dafür nicht ausgelegt. (Messer stumpf und lose) Die Nudeln waren sehr al dente und ohne Geschmack. Am schlimmsten war die Lasagne, winzig und schmeckte null. Alles in Allem, würde ich dies nicht empfehlen und fahren dort auch nicht mehr hin, Preis-Leistung null gegeben.

Es war eine absolute Katastrophe. Obwohl reserviert war und man wusste, dass es sich um einen Geburtstag handelt, war der Service absolut unterirdisch. Das Essen, was nach 1,5 Stunden endlich kam, war leider noch schlimmer als der Service. Ich war bereits mehrfach dort. Es hat immer lange gedauert, aber das Essen hat entschädigt. Das war dieses Mal überhaupt nicht so. Es war mir wirklich peinlich vor meinen Gästen. Besteck und Teller waren auch nicht sauber. Es gab nicht mal ein Getränk aufs Haus, obwohl zwei Essen zurück gegangen sind, weil sie kalt und ungenießbar waren. Die Nudeln waren max. 3 min im Wasser. Sowas habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt.

Sehr Lecker, Guter Service und weiter zu empfehlen.

I was in Kevelaer from Rheinberg for a business meeting. Since the restaurant we originally booked, ELIO, was apparently closed and didn't inform us, we happened to end up at the cozy Italian restaurant on Kapellenplatz – an exclusive location with a dreamy ambiance! We met the owner and his wife personally and were warmly welcomed like family. From the appetizer to the main course and dessert, it was a culinary experience that enchanted us. 5⭐️ and a heart for love 🧡 – no matter when we return to Kevelaer, we will support not only the local restaurants, but also the smaller, lesser-known gems. We reserved an outdoor table at relatively short notice and received a friendly welcome. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! :) We'd definitely love to come back!

Best place, my dears. If you want good food and excellent service, this is definitely the place for you. Friendly staff, nice people, and the place has a 10/10 atmosphere. The café next door is just as good. I can only recommend it; the food was delicious and we had lovely evenings there. Don't be fooled by the few bad reviews; I can't understand them at all.

We were visiting our hometown from Hamm, and my brother recommended Da Vinci – and, as always, he was absolutely right! Italian cuisine lands on the plates with precision. 🇮🇹✨ We were there with a larger group, and despite the restaurant being packed, we were served with heart and care. The team pampered us from start to finish, and you can feel their passion in every detail. We absolutely don't understand the few negative reviews – for us, Da Vinci is a true highlight in Kevelaer!

We've been regulars at Trattoria Da Vinci for many years – and for good reason! The quality and taste of the food are always of the highest standard, and you can tell that the food is cooked with love and skill. We particularly recommend specialties like the delicious soup, the vitello tonnato carpaccio duo, and the perfectly cooked steak on fresh vegetables with crispy potatoes. The combination of authentic Italian cuisine, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere makes every visit a pleasure. Whether outside in the charming outdoor area or inside in the stylish ambiance – we always feel welcome here. An absolute highlight in Kevelaer for anyone who appreciates good food.

A culinary delight from start to finish! The tender medallions with creamy sauce and crispy fried potatoes are a dream – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The carpaccio is sliced wafer-thin and finished with Parmesan and balsamic vinegar – simply divine. And as a special highlight: fresh oysters on ice, just like at the sea. Everything is just right here – quality, presentation, and taste. For us, this is the epitome of enjoyment in Kevelaer! An absolute recommendation for anyone who values fresh ingredients and loving preparation.

A complete disaster. We were already dissatisfied last time and gave the restaurant a chance, unfortunately with the same result. The food arrived after 1.5 hours. There were 14 of us, but it was similar last time. It was complete chaos with drinks and ordering. The beer was empty, and by the end, we didn't even want to stay. Best regards

1 star – Waited 85 minutes for lukewarm food Poor service, zero organization. After 85 minutes, the food finally arrived – unfortunately, it was only lukewarm and tasted disappointing.

There were seven of us there and we had made reservations in advance, making the whole experience all the more disappointing. The value for money is simply not justified. Reception & Service: Despite having made a reservation, we had to bring chairs ourselves and help set them up. Basic items like napkins were missing – completely incomprehensible for a restaurant in this price range. The drinks took forever to arrive, and when the beer finally arrived, it was lukewarm. Food: I ordered tagliatelle with grilled scampi – but what was served was a mix of tagliatelle and spaghetti, the scampi weren't grilled, and the dish was only lukewarm. The pizza with burrata turned out to be a pizza with cold mozzarella – no trace of burrata. In total, we had to wait over an hour for the food – even though it was barely busy. Handling Criticism: The way we handled justified criticism was particularly disappointing. The chef showed no insight whatsoever. Instead, he claimed that 50-60 seats were occupied. We had a good overview – at that time, there were a maximum of three tables occupied. Overall, the visit was a huge disappointment. Many minor and major flaws, coupled with a lack of service orientation and a lack of critical thinking, unfortunately make this restaurant unsuitable for us. We won't be back.

A quiet, centrally located Italian restaurant. All in all, it was okay. We opted for two pizzas, which also tasted okay, but because they were made with spelt, they couldn't compare to regular pizzas. What we didn't like, however, were the long waits: from being seated to the first contact by the really friendly waiter, to taking our order, the arrival of the food, and finally the bill, it simply took far too long in our opinion. There's definitely room for improvement here. The same goes for the salami, which was very tasty, but the portion size was ridiculous. Dear Da Vinci team, you wouldn't lose any of your crown by putting an extra slice of bread in the basket.

Extremely long waits for food; the last members of our group received their food after about two hours (while the first ones had already been digesting their food for at least an hour). Even the friendly and helpful service team did nothing to lift the mood.

2 stars for the hard-working service staff. Because in the end they have to deal with dissatisfied guests. Some of the food wasn't cooked through, didn't taste good, or arrived wrong. I also come from the catering industry and know that you usually prepare for large events. Instead of one kitchen worker, you have two or three so that the whole thing goes faster. You should have enough stock to meet the demands of the customers. The glasses were all different, no calibration mark, just like the cutlery, that was all different too. It feels like you've shopped at Action. You got beer mats on request, as did the cutlery. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have sent my salad back too. I ordered yogurt sauce. I don't know what crossed the chef's mind to put vinegar on it. I have no understanding for that, if only because I was the only one who had a cold dish! The food didn't arrive for almost two hours. The drinks had been ordered but apparently forgotten, so we had to ask again. Afterward, they were brought out one by one. I would have preferred not to pay for my meal, and I wouldn't recommend the place either.

Unfortunately, the staff were completely overwhelmed on July 5, 2025. We were there with about 20 people, supposedly bikers according to the staff, after a motorcycle pilgrimage. The wait for the food was two hours and a bit. After about an hour and a half, a car pulled up, from which our order was unloaded and taken to the kitchen through the side entrance. A server then came and told us that everything would be at the table in 12 minutes. Nothing like that. It took almost three-quarters of an hour for the last meal to arrive. Not fiction, but bitter truth. Lasagna was served in round bowls, but you could tell it came from a square dish. Suddenly, the 3 "?" appeared. The pizza wasn't hot and wasn't cooked all the way through. Our group will definitely not be losing any of their money here.

We were there yesterday with about 20 people. My food was warm, but unfortunately it didn't taste as good as I would have liked for a meal in this price range. I only received it after 2 hours. The guys tried hard, but I come from a catering industry, which these guys clearly didn't. On days like these, when events are planned well in advance, you should actually be prepared.

We were there late in the evening with a large group and were truly disappointed. It took forever for the waitress to take everything in, and then they forgot something or brought it incorrectly. The food tasted reheated and was sometimes still cold. We had to ask for cutlery, and the glasses were all different. We won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Worst service. Glasses without a measuring line. Food cold. Two-hour wait, and cutlery had to be washed upon request. Never again.

We were there yesterday with a group of around 20 people. After ordering and asking several times, we received our food one by one. The first one was brought to our table after over 2!!! hours. The extra topping on my pizza was hard to find; overall, it was edible, but nothing special. Furthermore, it was placed in front of me with only a knife included. When I asked if I could have a fork, I was told they didn't have any left; they had to be washed first. Other orders didn't meet our expectations either; some pasta dishes were burnt on the outside and still cold on the inside, and the pieces were very small overall, and some pizzas weren't cooked all the way through. For us, it's a clear no-no: not a recommendation!!!

I was there on July 5, 2025, and had to wait two hours for a calzone pizza. If I'd been that hungry, I wouldn't have eaten the pizza. Because the pizza was inedible. I can't recommend this restaurant. Any takeaway is better.

It was my first time eating there and overall, I can't say anything negative. The pizza was very tasty, but it quickly became hard (possibly due to the flour), and the salmon on the pizza was unfortunately very dry. The appetizer was very good, and we were also quite full :)

We had lunch there today. We had to ask for napkins, the cutlery was dirty. The restrooms were dirty, no toilet paper, and no towels to dry our hands. My lasagna was cold. We won't be back.😔

Pre-Christmas family meeting on the 4th Advent in Kevelaer. After visiting the nativity market for the second time, 16 people (5 children, 11 adults) had dinner here at Da Vinci in the early evening. And again it was a very nice evening with very tasty food. Mixed starters, soup, salad, main courses (pizza, pasta, meat dishes), desserts (ice cream, tartufo, the chocolate soufflé 😋). The boss and the service staff were again very friendly and attentive. We felt very welcome as an “extended family” and will definitely come back, even individually 😉.

We ate there on the way to the airport. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly and were able to choose a seat. The waiting time for the food was perfectly fine My wife and I were both very happy with our meal. Prices are okay for the quality and atmosphere. The service was very friendly.

One of the best Italians outside of Italy My wife and I enjoy going out to eat very often. And we also like to spend a little more for good food. But here you get real top-class cuisine at completely normal prices that you have to look for a long time elsewhere. In the end you always ask yourself the question, would I come again? and would I eat it again? And both can only be answered with a huge yes

Very tasty, very clean, very nice service, always happy.

We were there with 6 people, unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not there. Had steak 3 times, one of which had an end piece, once through and once very small but medium as ordered. The “side dishes” for the steak were described as rosemary potatoes and vegetables, the vegetables consisted of partially burnt broccoli or some that was not yet cooked through. Then there was something there that we could decipher as zucchini. The potatoes, on the other hand, were okay, but the bacon that was served with them wasn't quite cooked yet. The cocktail sauce for the salad was alcoholic like some cocktails, several pieces in the salad were dark and brown, in general this salad was very simple, one would have liked more variety here. A pizza that was ordered was hard and could hardly be cut with a knife, the cheese shouldn't have been that tasty, and there wasn't much toppings either. The noodles that were ordered were okay. Starters also definitely not enough. After the meal we reported this and were invited with an espresso or limoncini on the house for everyone, so that's why we give it two stars.

We sat in this beautiful place on a warm summer evening, looked after in a friendly manner by the owner and employees, the pizza was delicious, the wine was solid, the prices were reasonable.

Waiting time was about 2 hours. The pizza tasted good, but a circular saw would have been better than the existing knives. I suspect our food was set aside and forgotten. Then put it back in the oven and serve. The lasange was light black and lukewarm. It wasn't relaxing.

There were two of me in this restaurant. We had a great time sitting at the window. The waiters were very nice. Everything went quickly. The starters (bruschetta) and the main courses (penne with tomato sauce and burrata and tagliatelle with chicken) were very tasty. Unfortunately, I never take pictures of my food. My girlfriend went to eat here again two days later. That means something!

The owner tries to create a certain atmosphere and exclusivity, which unfortunately cannot be achieved. Despite his pressure on the staff who try hard. The soup was fine, perhaps a little salty, but tasty. But the main course was a disappointment. The potatoes were deep fried, the meat was not very tasty and the vegetables were so full of oil that you could barely taste the vegetables. The tagliatelle was good, tasted fresh too. But the meat was again tasteless and bland. We went elsewhere for dessert.

I was disappointed with this pizzeria that supposedly has the best reputation in Kevelaer. Admittedly, the dishes we ordered, 3 x different pizzas, 1 x steak, were very tasty. But the service was subpar. Inattentive, we constantly had to order more drinks ourselves or it took forever until we got the salt we had ordered. And a drink was then put down twice even though we had only ordered one. Just stand there and leave without saying a word. I've experienced better service-oriented staff there. In my opinion, there is a lot of room for improvement here. We won't go there anymore.

The food came quickly and was really delicious. Homemade pasta that was perfectly seasoned. The salad was also very tasty. Absolute recommendation from us.

Nice welcome, very friendly and courteous service, all child-friendly (we were there with 3 adults and 3 children under 8 years old). The food is tasty and enough to fill you up (the pizzas for the children from the children's menu are very generous), the prices are reasonable. First there is bread with herb butter. We sat outside, so I can't say much about the ambience inside, but on the way to the toilet it looked cozy and well-kept, pre-set tables, white and blue tablecloths, guest room rather small but stylish. Toilets are clean and stylish with a beautiful floor in a broken tile look, several soaps to choose from and a stylish washbasin that is an eye-catcher. We will definitely eat there more often!

Ate there spontaneously late at lunchtime today. It was our first time there and we will definitely come back. Food was excellent, super tasty and well seasoned. Service very nice and good. Suggestion: communicate the opening times better and make them visible from the outside.
