33 instead of the promised 38-40cm, a pizza cardelli for 18 euros, at 5 p.m. when no one was overloaded. Drinks have always been far too expensive, but now we're stopping pick-up, unfortunately.

The trattoria offers huge portions that are absolutely convincing. The 40cm diameter pizza was not only large but also really tasty, and the pasta plate was also generously sized. Particularly noteworthy is the very nice and courteous service, which made the stay very pleasant. The ambience is rather rustic, which has its charm, but a little modernization couldn't hurt. Nevertheless, we liked it. Overall, a recommended restaurant, especially for anyone who values ​​large portions!

The good things first, the food is really excellent and freshly prepared. Unfortunately the service is not good at all, you hardly dare to order a second drink because the service seems rather annoyed, unfortunately the service was the same as last time. If you apparently don't tip enough in the eyes of the waitress, there is neither a thank you nor a goodbye. We found that very disrespectful and afterwards we were annoyed that we even gave a tip. In the future we will order food and take it away, but we don't want to stay there any longer.

A sensational sour fish soup, it contains shrimp, octopus, fish, squid, mussels, it is delicious. Nice location, friendly staff, excellent food!

I ordered fish/seafood risotto from the daily menu! There was a very large portion that looked very appealing! However, the entire meal was extremely salty and therefore almost inedible! It was my first time there so I can't say whether it was just an accident or if it happens often 💁‍♂️!

Unfortunately it is always very loud there. The food is delicious. We were also served quickly. What really annoys me is a 1l water bottle for 8 euros. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about :-)

We have been regular customers there for a long time because you get something for your money here! Large portions and super tasty!! Food is always ready to be picked up quickly. We rarely eat there because it is always quite crowded. But that speaks for the place ;)

We want to come back to Herzogenaurach especially because of this Italian. Everyone was thrilled 😋

Hello, first of all, this restaurant is the last heap of rubbish. I was with my family because it was recommended by a lot of people. We came in. First of all, there was a stroller on the stairs that was thrown down with garbage next to it. There was a leaf blower in the cloakroom everywhere, so there was a lot of trash inside rtl warmly welcome. We arrived at the table because cutlery was served to us in a can and there was rust in the can and people were smoking everywhere and smoke was coming straight into my face. The waitress insulted us because we stood up, which is really disrespectful. Afterwards we went to the Losteria Driven in Erlangen is highly recommended Lg

Very good pizza, quick and tasty

You should make a reservation if you want to get a seat during peak times. Very good Italian food. Large portion and a good selection. Parking spaces are also right in front of the door.

The two of us were there spontaneously on a Saturday evening and, as expected, it was very full. We were still offered a table for an hour, which we gratefully accepted. It is very loud inside from the guests and also from the kitchen but that was ok for us and somehow adds to the Italian flair. The service took our order quickly. The food came after a reasonable time, unfortunately the two dishes, pasta and pizza, arrived a little later. However, the taste is really a dream and can only be recommended. When it came time to pay, it took a while for the service to pay attention to us, but we can ignore that. We will definitely not be coming back, unless we make a reservation.

Pizza is at home here. Fresh products, right quality portions. I will definitely return

We came here quite spontaneously and only managed to get a spot. The atmosphere is rustic and not very cozy, just a large room, typical sports restaurant. The service was also rather grumpy and a bit listless. So we didn't expect too much. When the food came, we were pleasantly surprised! Bruschetta as a starter. Not served on baguette as you would expect, but like a pizza (pizza dough + tomato bruschetta topping). Delicious. The main course was ravioli in sage parmesan sauce, which were good, but I would have preferred the pizza. My husband had the Parma pizza, which was simply great. Huge size, super tasty dough, the topping was also great. Really great, rarely had such a good pizza!

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food on our last visit. The starter was too onion-heavy otherwise quite good, the main course was pasta that was oversalted and too oily, unfortunately the pizza wasn't really enjoyable despite the good dough because of the bad spicy salami. In the end, the desert wasn't really a hit either. Price performance ratio poor.

We've been there several times, the food was always good, but the service was pretty bad. You are hardly noticed when coming and going or when serving people. So we thought about coming back several times, but yesterday it was really a mistake because we sat at the table for 15 minutes and were ignored until we left again to join the competition at the airport. Beste Trattoria in Herzogenaurach und Umgebung, herzliche familiäre Atmosphäre trotz Sportgaststätte. Großzügig angerichtet und immer auf den Punkt gegart. Sehr sehr lecker! Alle Gerichte sind mega, für Veganer gibt's auch einiges! Aber am besten Tischreservierung machen, der Laden ist immer voll😄

Wir waren gestern im cardelli und überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Das essen ist lecker und die Portionen sind groß! Allerdings ist der Service so unterirdisch, dass das Essen dies nicht wettmacht. Das personal hat überhaupt keine Lust auf Gäste und ist unfreundlich. Bei uns kam eine Hauptspeise falsch und nachdem wir sie nett darauf hingewiesen haben wurde erstmal vor unseren Augen 2 Minuten auf Italienisch diskutiert - mit uns hat aber keiner geredet. Eine Mitarbeiterin hat den Teller dann wortlos mitgenommen. 15 Minuten später kam dann das richtige Gericht und wurde auch wieder wortlos vor uns platziert - keine Entschuldigung, kein Lächeln nichts. Wir werden nicht nochmal kommen weil dieses Verhalten geht überhaupt gar nicht. Verabschiedet wurden wir nach der Zahlung übrigens auch nicht, die Mitarbeiterin hat sich nach dem aushändigen des Belegs einfach umgedreht und ist gegangen. Das Ambiente ist das einer Gaststätte. Da gehen wir nächstes mal lieber zum Italiener am Flugplatz :)

Es war schwer, ohne Anmeldung, 1woche vor Weihnachten, einen Platz zu bekommen! Aber nichts ist unmöglich! Pizzen sind sehr gross, viel Belag auf den Pizzen, und preislich voll ok! Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Innen gemütliche italienische Atmosphäre. Der Biergarten außen sehr ruhig und könnte ein bisschen Pflege vertragen. Das Essen absolut zu empfehlen! Wirklich leckere Pizzen und auch die Nudelgerichte sind klasse. Bei dem Service ist allerdings noch etwas Luft nach oben. Von sehr freundlich bis hin zu gar keine Lust auf Gäste, fühlt man sich mal wohler und manchmal geht man dann lieber zeitnah wieder. Kommen wirklich gerne wieder, da das Essen und die Atmosphäre einfach überzeugen.

Loved the pizza and the seafood platters here. The portions are huge, two people can share a pizza here. I believe this is the best pizza around the area. There is a free parking area outside. I guess it’s a family business, so the staff were very kind and provided a very good and friendly service. I would choose this place the next time I want to have pizza 😊🍕

Sehr gutes Essen, riesen Portionen zu einem fairen Preis. Es gibt soweit nichts zu bemängeln bis auf die eine Bedienung, die bei den letzten 3 Besuchen stets genervt und absolut gelangweilt gewirkt hat sodass man sich fast schämt sie etwas zu fragen, ganz klare Jobverfehlung.

Die beste Bruschetta die ich je gegessen habe. Auch der Fischtopf ist ein Gedicht, ebenso die Pasta und die Pizzen. Und das alles in einem locker fröhlichen Ambiente....PERFEKT

Uriges altes Restaurant. Motivierte Bedienungen und Köche. War sehr lecker!

Das Essen war durch die Bank recht gut und auch die Kinder fanden das Essen super. Leider war der Service extrem unfreundlich (das Lokal war nahezu leer, also nicht gestresst) und hat sich zum Ende sogar geweigert, die Rechnung getrennt abzukassieren. Ambiente ist leider auch nicht so super. Unsere Empfehlung: holt euch das Essen heim, falls ihr in der Nähe wohnen solltet, denn das Essen ist wirklich gut. Uns sehen sie wohl nicht mehr, denn zum Abholen ist es zu weit.

Im Rahmen einer Geschöftsreise aufgesucht. Unscheinbar am Ende eines Wohngebietes gelegen, ausreichend Parkplätze vor dem Haus. 60er Jahre Einrichtung mit sicherlich echtem Renovierungsbedarf. Das Essen war mega - zugegeben riesige Portionen, aber die Pasta war 1A! Sehr nettes Personal, unter italienischer Führung, schöne Atmosphäre. Glatte Empfehlung!

ein bodenständiges, schönes Lokal. Wir kennen die Cardellis nunmehr schon seit mehr als 25 Jahre und gehen nach wie vor gerne dort essen oder holen uns leckeere Pizza. Die Gerichte sind alle viel zu groß - so ist aber dort und das ist ja nicht schlecht.

I ate here with colleagues/friends while on business in Herzo. It came recommended by a local and we were so pleased we made the effort to get a cab out of the town centre. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were extremely generous. We ate outside which had a great atmosphere on a warm summer evening. Service was good and great value for money too. The starter size is more like a main dish and the mains are huge! You could easily share. The restaurant are also happy to wrap up any lefty for you to take away with you. Will definitely go again when back in Herzo.
