It was my first time there. It was quite sad, being from Bremen. Mediterranean atmosphere outside in the summer, good wines, delicious food, and humorous and always friendly service. A real must-do in Bremen. Thank you so much for a lovely evening, Katzencafé ❤️

Why do they call a cafe a "Cat Cafe" when there are no cats at all? We drove so long to see cats there, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Simply a scam.

Unfortunately, the starter wasn't convincing. The vitello tonnato was very tough, and the antipasti plate looked very sad. Furthermore, the vegetables were more raw than properly pickled. However, the main course, Königsberger Klopse, was very tasty, and the service was excellent.

A truly outstanding restaurant! I'd particularly like to highlight the scallop risotto – absolutely perfectly prepared and a true taste sensation. My companions were also completely thrilled with their dishes. The menu is varied, so everyone will find something to suit their taste. I also have to commend the service: We received very warm welcome, the wine recommendations were excellent, and the entire team was attentive without being intrusive. All in all, a wonderful experience – we'll definitely be back!

The ambiance in the cat café is truly beautiful—with a garden feel, small sculptures, and a great attention to detail. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing overall. One of the waiters was very rude to us because of our dogs, which significantly dampened the mood. Luckily, another waitress was super welcoming and brought us water and even a blanket for the dogs—a real highlight. The food, unfortunately, was rather mediocre: lots of bones in the fish and a very simple, underseasoned pasta dish. Overall, it's a shame, as the place had a personal meaning for me—but the experience doesn't make you feel welcome enough to return.

We had reserved a table for two for 7:30 p.m. – supposedly the last one. Communication with the waiter proved difficult, as her German was barely understandable. Although the garden area was busy but not fully booked, we had to wait a while for our table. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The meal itself was very good: ahi tuna, burrata, monkfish on risotto, and truffle linguine, accompanied by a bottle of Sancerre – up until that point, the value for money was also good (€165). However, when we wanted to order dessert, the waiter explained that every dessert would have a wait time of at least 20 minutes – the Kaiserschmarrn we requested even took 50 minutes. We felt like we were being escorted out. I immediately left the restaurant. The waiter himself seemed just as irritated by his colleague's behavior as we were. Overall, a disappointing evening with a bland aftertaste – a shame about the good food.

It's become our favorite restaurant. The quality of the food is outstanding; my boyfriend and I discovered a wine there (Gran Rève) that has become one of our favorites. The restaurant is super pretty—I'd say one of the nicest in all of Bremen—and the service has always been excellent. Plus, it's in Schnoor 😍. The prices are reasonable, and the experience is definitely worth every cent.

Very friendly and helpful staff and super-fast service (although it was already 9 p.m.). To shorten the wait for the main course, there was also butter and bread.

The starter and main course were good and okay. The lava cake at the end was an insult. Really, really, just bad. The service that evening was also completely unimpressive. A bad-tempered waiter who didn't care about his job. The drinks menu was only handed over upon request. Drinks took forever. We still didn't have our bottle of wine for the main course. We pointed it out again, but it eventually arrived. Two bottles of water never arrived. We weren't even asked once whether the food tasted good during the three courses. That's simply unprofessional for this restaurant with the prices they charge!

We will never go to this restaurant again. The old waiter served us, but he was neither friendly nor professional. We were invited to a table that hadn't been cleaned. Breadcrumbs from previous guests were still on the table. The lava cake (warm chocolate cake with a liquid center) we ordered was neither warm nor did it have a liquid center. When clearing the dishes, the waiter didn't ask us if we enjoyed it. We doubted he knew the quality of the cake and suspect he deliberately didn't ask. We only wanted dessert and coffee, but we expected to be treated respectfully as ordinary guests.

The restaurant is beautiful. The food was truly delicious, especially the tuna appetizer. The service was also amazing. The only downside was the noise from the kitchen. They should be a bit more considerate of their guests.

I follow my rule of only posting negative comments if I've mentioned it in the restaurant. I did mention it here, and I'm giving it two stars solely because of the friendly service. I ordered the daily special (pasta with truffle). Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The portion was so small that something like that would normally be served as an appetizer. If that were all, but the dish was sophisticated and delicious, I wouldn't even say anything. But it wasn't in the slightest. I'm so sorry.

Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment – ​​especially on a special day for us. We had made reservations in advance and explicitly stated that it was a special occasion. Nevertheless, upon arrival, we were only offered two tiny tables opposite the bar – right in the passageway between the kitchen and the dining room, where the staff were constantly running back and forth. One of the tables was barely usable because it was difficult to hit your head on the sloping ceiling. The other table had a strong draft – not particularly pleasant either, but it was the only option. Before we even received our menus, we had to watch the chef loudly reprimand two waiters in front of the guests. When another guest angrily complained about the poor service and left the restaurant, we too decided to spend our wedding anniversary somewhere else. What a shame – it could have been a lovely evening.

Expensive? Quite. Worth it? Totally!! Whether you try the authentic local dishes or even the Asian-influenced dishes (the tuna tartare was delightful!), you won’t be disappointed. Same goes for the wine list! We will be back 😋❤️

As people from Bremen, we are regular guests at the cat café - the idyllic atmosphere always captivates us. After the recent change of operator, we were now very curious about our next visit and I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. The dishes we chose were a delight for both the eye and the palate. We will definitely remain loyal to 'our' cat café.

How can you take over the really great Cat Cafe and then not only increase the prices (fish soup!) but also no longer offer the classics on the menu??? => e.g. Wiener Schnitzel and plaice Clearly a reason for us not to dine there anymore.

5 people want to spend a nice evening together. We ended up in the cat cafe. Since not everyone found something that really suited them on the menu, what they ordered arrived quite quickly. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship didn't quite match our expectations. The steak was tough and tasteless, Viennese schnitzel with fries looked like it was from a snack bar, everything was just functional and not at all lovingly prepared. Any side dishes, decorations or the like, none of them. Pricing on the higher end, definitely not worth it. When we paid we were told that card payments were only possible from 50€. Without any hint. Not very nice. The payment process was correspondingly cool on both sides. It's a shame, we hoped for more from this visit and then unfortunately we went to McD. , because 4 out of 5 people weren't full yet. In summary, it was a disappointment for us, unfortunately.

Yesterday a few colleagues and I wanted to spend a nice evening with a nice meal, but we were bitterly disappointed. 1. The menu was very clear so that there was hardly any choice, after we had ordered something and the food came it was an absolute disaster. I had a dry schnitzel with a few frozen fries without any side dish, let alone anything else for a price of 29.50, which I would definitely get cheaper and better in any snack bar. My colleague's steak was like rubber and she wasn't even asked how she would have liked it! Not to mention she had ordered it without sauce and when it came with sauce and she pointed it out, it was just scraped off and brought back! Absolutely no go. And to top it all off, when it came time to pay, we found out that it is only possible to pay with EC from €50 onwards, impossible these days!!! And when I asked why, my colleague received a very unfriendly and very rude answer, which was very insulting. Our change was thrown on the table in such a way that it ended up in the sauce... Conclusion: food catastrophe, way too overpriced, waiter definitely missed his job! Never again!!!!!!!!! Definitely doesn't deserve a star

We had a lovely experience at the Katzencafé! The waitress Eli was super friendly and attentive. We were also happy with the food we ordered, I had the fish of the day and my mom and grandma ate chicken, and everything tasted great. As it was my birthday, they surprised me with chocolate lava cakes and vanilla ice cream on the house, which was amazing. All in all, we had a lovely time and really recommend this cozy place 💕

My girlfriend and I spent Valentine's Day at Katzen Café, but unfortunately our experience there was disappointing. Upon entering we were greeted warmly and told that a waiter would accompany us to our seat one floor up. But that didn't happen - instead we stood in the hallway for 10 to 15 minutes and waited in vain until I finally took the initiative myself. Once at the table, we waited another 10 minutes for the menu. I ended up having to get the drinks menu myself from the next table because no one was looking after us. Despite the rocky start, the food – both the oysters as a starter and the rump steak as the main course – was really tasty. Unfortunately, the poor service continued: after we finished eating, our empty plates remained on the table for 20 minutes without being cleared away. I had actually planned to order dessert, but the service put me off my desire. What was particularly annoying was that the tables around us were served attentively and quickly - only we were consistently ignored. It seemed like younger guests (we are 20 and 21) were not particularly welcome in this restaurant. Especially in a high-priced restaurant, you expect to be served respectfully and attentively, regardless of your age. Although the food was good, the poor service put a damper on the evening for us. Therefore, I cannot recommend the Cat Café, especially for younger couples.

Yesterday we were the first guests here with our little dog. The food was good. The young man who served us could easily work in a star restaurant. Really exceptionally good. Nice atmosphere, but not value for money at all. Plaice was great, but with three potatoes and a mini bowl of mustard, cucumber salad, or whatever it was. And that for about 30 euros. Still water 0.75l costs €7.50..!!!!! I think we had about 5 bottles of water that evening. !!!! I definitely can't recommend it any further.

I visited the Katzen Café for the first time and was impressed by the pleasant atmosphere. That's why I decided to celebrate my birthday there with my husband. Unfortunately our second visit was a huge disappointment. The dish my husband ordered was not what he wanted. The meat was supposed to be medium rare but was overcooked and tasteless. But that wasn't everything. After we paid and were still enjoying our drinks, the waitress came and started preparing our table for the next guests. We found that extremely disrespectful. I will never visit this cafe again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful evening in the cat café with twelve people. 5 stars for very good food, perfect service and a great atmosphere in which we celebrated our Christmas party 2024. Top price/performance ratio. Super nice location in the heart of Schnoor!

Me and my parents wanted to have a nice beer. The shop was empty, about 3 tables were occupied. Nevertheless, I asked nicely if there was a table available. The look from the bottom up and a rude sentence “We only eat here” stunned us. We have never experienced anything so rude and arrogant in our lives.

We are very sorry to comment on our disappointment in the excellent service of this restaurant. We decided to come to this restaurant because of the bizarre bad reviews towards the restaurant staff and thus experience German anger in body and essence (a real immersive German experience). I was on a school trip and we were in Schnoor. A few friends and I wanted to go to the cat café in the firm belief that, as the name strongly suggests, there would be cats there. It's my birthday. My boyfriend suggested going to this restaurant, which I was glad about. When we ordered drinks, the waiter warned us that in this place you can't order only drinks without food. So we decided to try a dish with snails. We ordered one portion, as I had never tried them before. When we made an order for the snail dish, the waiter clarified that it was one portion and a man (my boyfriend) could also make an order. We explained that we didn't need a second portion yet. Then the waiter took all the cutlery from my boyfriend. We clarified if it was a problem that we only ordered one portion. To which the waiter responded in the affirmative. Unfortunately, we had to leave the restaurant after that. We just wanted to have a good time for my birthday. Unfortunately the score on the food is also 0, as I didn't get to try the snails in this restaurant. The restaurant itself is really beautiful. We really liked the kitty and the dog as the décor of the place. It's a pity we never got to spend time there.

Great food, great location...staff so unfriendly...that's important, unbelievable. We played cards while we waited and from that moment on we were treated and looked at really strangely. The whole thing culminated when the waitress brought people out of the kitchen and continued to point at us: “Look at the playing cards over there, can you believe that?” What is your problem? We didn't bother anyone...except maybe your snobbery. Really the last one.

It's my first time in Bremen and I've eaten in some very good restaurants. The Katzen-Café restaurant particularly stands out. Starting with warm hospitality, perfect service and high-quality tableware (fabric tablecloths, fabric napkins and glassware). Followed by Francophile-style cuisine with a seasonal twist - accompanied by corresponding wines by glass and... Bottle format. Unfortunately, I will only be able to be in Bremen once a year. We had a great dinner in this extraordinary restaurant, which is large yet small. Attentive and very friendly service, excellent plaice and very good veal schnitzel. All the side dishes are delicious, the beer is tasty and the Pinot Gris from the Palatinate is a fine accompaniment. We were very satisfied and say thank you!

We were in Bremen over the weekend and invited to dinner at the Katzen-Cafe. The food was very good, the service was very accommodating, all in all a very successful evening.

Just an awful service, the place was not event half full and the waiters just expelled us because they “didn’t wanted to recibe new customers”, they didn’t salute either when we arrived, we only received: get out (literally). This happened at 20:30 pm.

Very good food is served here in Schnoor in Bremen. The atmosphere is small and convoluted but very cozy. Attentive and friendly service staff complete the whole thing. Conclusion: I would want to enjoy it again at any time.

At lunchtime I wanted to reserve a table for two by phone. There would be no more capacity - which in retrospect is probably due to the slow service - but we should try our luck on site. Until then, this was also on our side. We were given the table somewhat reluctantly. They then took the order without making eye contact and left us to vegetate. One and a half hours. The food was bland and the prices differed "minimal" from the menu on the website. There was no apology. The fish sandwich on the corner was a much better investment.

Um es gleich vorweg zu nehmen, dass Sushi, dass wir bekommen haben war exzellent - trotzdem kann ich mich an keinen Restaurantbesuch erinnern, der mich jemals so enttäuscht hätte. Es war Samstagabend und wir konnten unser Glück kaum fassen, als unsere Frage, ob es noch Platz für zwei Personen gäbe, bejaht wurde. Schnell hatten wir uns für eine Msosuppe und zwei Sushi-Varianten entschieden. Bereits bei der Bestellung hatten wir gesagt, dass wir noch nachbestellen würden. Hierauf kam keine Reaktion, nachdem mit gewisser Wartezeit die ersten Sushis serviert worden waren und wir sehr angetan waren, hatten wir ein weiteres Mal um die Speisekarte gebeten. Diese kam aber nicht, also haben wir später nochmals nachgefragt. Hier hat uns die Servicekraft, die vermutlich sogar die Inhaberin war, gesagt, dass eine Nachbestellung nicht möglich sei und wir das Restaurant verlassen müssten, es würden bereits die nächsten Gäste warten. D. h. wir bekamen kein weiteres Sushi, keinen Nachtisch, keine weiteren Getränke. Sowohl mein Mann als auch ich hatten den Eindruck, dass besagte Dame uns überhaupt nicht zugehört hatte. Falls doch finden wir es noch dreister, dass sie unsere Kommentare einfach ignoriert hat. Es war Samstagabend wir hatten sicher kein Interesse an einem Schnellimbiss. So sind wir sehr enttäuscht und hungrig weitergezogen. Ich bin beruflich immer wieder in Bremen, wo ich nicht wieder essen werde, weiß ich. Unser Gefühl war, dass vor den Reservierungen einfach noch ein gewisses Zeitfenster war und man einfach das Geld auch noch einstecken wollte. Auch ansonsten war der Service kühl und wenig freundlich, damit hätten wir leben können, aber alles andere war völlig inakzeptabel.

I've been able to visit the Katzen Café in Schnoor twice so far. Once there were two of us, the other time we were in a small group of 6 people. First, the ambience. The first time we were outside on the small hill in the inner courtyard, the second time in the "outbuilding". It's really nice to sit outside! You have a nice view of the inner courtyard. In the “next building”, however, it is very narrow. In retrospect, the table at which we sat with 6 people was too small. You also sit very far away, so you have to wait a while until a waitress comes to the table. On to food. The food was always delicious on both visits! The starters are always very good and the portions are reasonable. There's nothing wrong with the main courses either. Both the braised beef cheeks and the rump steak are very tasty. The dessert (I had the chocolate mousse) is also recommended. Now let's come to the weakest point, the service. Please don't get me wrong, the waitresses and waiters seem very committed and competent and are happy to advise you on wine and food selection. Our starters and main courses all came in a reasonable time and the drinks also arrived quickly. But my impression is that the later the evening, the less coordinated the service or organization is. On our first visit we simply received the bill, even though we wanted to order dessert. This gave the impression that the table was being given away after an hour. On our second visit it took over an hour (!!!) until we got a total of three chocolate mousses, two cappuccinos and a double espresso. That's just way too long! In the end, I still recommend a visit to the Cat Café.

Price-performance not good, at least for coffee and tea. Very expensive and small selection. Nothing special. Ambience nice.
