Tokyo Sushi & Grill in Lüdenscheid

☆☆☆☆☆ I was at this restaurant with my sisters and my nine-month-old daughter. Everything was fine until the experience was unfortunately marred by an unpleasant incident. A waiter told me I should "do something" to quiet my baby girl because she was supposedly disturbing other guests. I find this behavior very disrespectful—she's a small child who moves around and makes noises. A family-friendly restaurant should show more understanding and kindness. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend it to families with young children.

That was truly the last time – I will never set foot in that restaurant again! I am appalled by the disrespect shown to guests there. My daughter is only 10 months old and behaved perfectly during our two-hour visit. She only cried briefly a couple of times or screamed a little louder – completely normal for a baby! But instead of showing understanding, a waiter who barely spoke German came to our table and told me to keep my child quiet because other guests might be disturbed. In a restaurant that is already loud and bustling, this was simply outrageous. I felt so uncomfortable – as a mother, as a guest, as a person. There is absolutely nothing family-friendly about this place! Anyone wanting to eat out with a child should definitely avoid this restaurant.

My favorite restaurant 😍 I go there every week, but I wish Tokyo Grill was also on Lieferando. I would order from there every day. 😆 Please add Tokyo Grill to Lieferando!

We absolutely love going there. The food is fresh and delicious, and our requests are catered for. The service is always cheerful and friendly. If you like sushi, you'll love it there; if you don't, there are some delicious alternatives.

We were there for our daughter's first day at school. It wasn't that busy and the boss even made a small present for the little one. The lunch menu is a bit smaller than the evening menu but it didn't bother us as there was still a lot of choice of food.

For weeks, even though we've been eating there for a while, the owners have been trying to talk us into the evening buffet, even though we don't want it! They're only interested in profit.

A lovely all-you-can-eat restaurant. The service can sometimes seem a bit slow, but it's still fast. There's a wide selection of dishes. It's not affordable every day, but it's definitely worth a visit for a special occasion!

A very good concept with the all-you-can-eat offering via digital ordering. Even gluten-free options are possible here with minor restrictions, and they also offer gluten-free soy sauce. They make a lot of effort to satisfy everyone.

We ordered different things to try as much as possible. Menu 3 and 4 were the best in terms of price-performance if you like sushi. How they were presented was very charming, they came inside these wooden boats (see the photo) and sushi was tasty. Apart from menus, we tried grilled vegetables, butter fish and sweet patato fries. They were also good, patato fries were crispy. I would still recommend the menus unless you go for all you can eat option (which goes until 3 pm)

It's a good place to go. It's not too crowded. They have a reduced-price lunch menu with a slightly slimmed-down menu. But in the evening, you'll definitely get your money's worth. You order from a tray, which is self-explanatory. The staff are happy to help with any questions. If you're not that hungry, you can also order a la carte. I can definitely recommend it and enjoy the view of Lüdenscheid's city center.

I was initially a bit apprehensive about Japanese cuisine. It's not really my thing. But what they offered topped everything and shattered my reservations. Great food, I chose the buffet. You could choose five dishes from a tray. The food was brought relatively quickly. After another 15 minutes, you could choose five more dishes. And that lasted for two hours. Amazing. It was presented really appetizingly, very well seasoned, and the portions were just right. I'll be going there more often now.

Everything was freshly prepared, perfectly flavored, and attractively presented. I was particularly impressed by the sushi – finely balanced flavors, perfect rice consistency, and excellent fish. The hot dishes were also a delight. What truly made this visit unforgettable, however, was the service. The waiter – whose full name is unfortunately not known, but begins with the letter "K" – looked after us in a way that is rarely experienced these days. Polite, attentive, courteous, and with a natural sense of when he was needed, without ever being intrusive. His friendliness and professionalism deserve special recognition. I would like to emphasize that this particular employee raised the service to an exceptional level. Such dedication and sensitivity are not to be taken for granted and should definitely be appreciated. All in all: a highly recommended restaurant with fantastic cuisine and service that sets standards. I will definitely be back!

I visit Tokyo Restaurant regularly and would like to share my experiences. Positive: The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is nice and tidy - really well thought out. I particularly like that card payments are possible. Even when picking up my orders, everything went on time so far, but a few minutes of waiting wouldn't be a problem - we're not on the run. Overall, time management is great! The food is usually good to satisfactory. Negative: Unfortunately, no one speaks German properly, which makes communication when ordering by phone difficult. A big drawback was my last experience with the noodles I ordered - they were completely sticky and knotted, which spoiled my appetite. Unfortunately, that wasn't the first time. I also don't find it pleasant to see the chefs smoking right at the entrance - I really hope that they wash their hands thoroughly afterwards. Another no-go: I once had a hair on my sushi, which also spoiled my appetite. Conclusion: Overall, a solid restaurant, but due to repeated negative experiences - especially with the noodles - I now visit it less often. A few improvements would be welcome!

Our experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. During our visit yesterday, we were offered the €29.99 per person package, where you can order new dishes every 15 minutes, all included in the price. Unfortunately, after selecting this option and ordering the first round, we realized that drinks were not included in the price, nor were some of the dishes, which had to be paid for separately. The food was served quickly. I enjoyed one type of sushi roll, but that was about it. The noodles were definitely not fresh — we understand that they are pre-cooked before being served, but they didn’t taste freshly made. The teriyaki chicken didn’t impress us, and the desserts seemed store-bought. Unfortunately, we didn’t even make it to the third round out of the ten possible. We simply paid and left. The food didn’t meet restaurant standards and wasn’t to our liking. Regrettably, we will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Beautiful cozy place with lovely staff. I sent a message in advance with a few questions and I received a response fairly quickly, which was very nice. We were able to take a seat without a reservation. The food was also very tasty and full of flavour, many choices in terms of food, drinks and desserts. It was also nice that everything was halal except for 2 choices. The price compared to the Netherlands is really great! Definitely recommended :) parking is also quite easy, garage next to the restaurant.

No problem, we managed it that way, but I'm used to it differently from other restaurants. The first order took a very long time, that wasn't a problem at all, just how the waiter slapped it on the table without looking at us, wishing us bon appetit, etc. The following orders almost all came together, ok too no problem, unfortunately the ginger we ordered never came, so I got up and got it myself every time. The soup that was ordered was not even lukewarm and when we complained about this, two waiters one after the other touched our bowl and claimed that it was warm. Can't you just take it away without comment and bring a new one? So all in all: food very good, value for money. O., ambience ok, but service just bad. There was enough staff, just completely disorganized. It's a shame, we won't come back and I didn't leave a tip either (it never actually happens)

Unfriendly, disrespectful and possibly discriminatory Our visit to this restaurant was a big disappointment. We were there with three adults and two children (6 years old) and ordered the evening menu (buffet) three times and à la carte twice. The children each chose five dishes from the buffet. When an adult tried a small piece of sushi from a children's plate, the heavily pregnant manager reprimanded us in a loud, condescending manner in front of all the guests. The way we were treated was not only unfriendly and disrespectful, but gave us the impression that we might not have been welcome because of our background or because head coverings were worn in our group. Of course I can't say for sure, but the situation left us with that feeling. It was so unpleasant that we ended the evening after only 40 minutes, even though two hours of buffet time were planned. In the end we still had to pay 75 euros - for an experience that the restaurant didn't deserve a cent. This experience left us very disappointed. The question arises as to whether this restaurant even welcomes people with head coverings or foreign backgrounds. If you value respectful interaction, you should avoid this place. We're definitely never coming back. .
