I would like to give more stars because the food was really delicious. However, the waiting times were quite long and the service also has room for improvement. After our plates were cleared away, we were essentially “hosted” and therefore we could no longer order any drinks and even when we wanted to pay and had communicated this to various service staff, we still had to wait longer until we could do so.

Were here on a Sat. The location is nice and the portions are large. The food was ok, but nothing special. We sat for almost 3.5 hours from 12 to 3.30 p.m. and also ordered something to drink again. The tables were only a third full. Then the waitress came and said we had been sitting for a long time and whether we wanted the bill or did we want to order something else? Really outrageous. If that is the new service, then the bars will remain empty.

We felt totally comfortable. The waitress was super nice and attentive. Food was also great. 👍

Everything is supper except the food takes a long time

One of the TOP 3 Asian fusion cuisine restaurants in Ulm and the surrounding area. The quality of the food is always 1a. Sushi also very tasty. The only point of criticism: you almost always wait 40-60 minutes for your starter or sushi. However, the service points this out before the order is placed. Nevertheless, in almost all other restaurants it takes a maximum of 20 minutes until the sushi is at the table. Otherwise, the service is very friendly and the furnishings are very comfortable and modern. Bonus: Good lunch at moderate prices. We come back regularly.

Our server Josie was an absolute blast. Super nice, super fast and committed. Simply TOP. She definitely deserves a big raise. The rest of the team was also very nice and everyone gave us a nice evening. We'll definitely come back here. The food was also great :-)

The restaurant is beautifully designed inside and you immediately feel at home. The service was also very friendly and open and there was fun to be had. The food was an absolute highlight for me! I had a bowl with fried shrimp and it was incredibly tasty thanks to the different proportions such as lots of vegetables, kimchi, seaweed salad and different sauces. I will definitely come back to try other dishes!

I have always ordered so far and am very satisfied. Recently I was delivered the wrong dish when I ordered and without much hesitation I had the entire order delivered again and free of charge within 30 minutes. The second dish was also included again so that both were warm. THANK YOU Marcel for such hospitable service and the delicious food.

My wife and I were warmly welcomed at TO KYO. The service was super fast and very polite! The vegan sushi was very delicious as was the homemade ginger tea. The highlight was definitely the sesame balls with mochi (vegan dessert). Which gave me and my wife palate orgasms.

The dish of the day (dog) was very tender, the chef's special (cat) was also very tasty. Our children ate pureed frog with fried cricket biscuits and loved them! The singing chef was great. What a cool tent!

We were here for lunch. The food was delicious, freshly prepared. Sushi with tuna wasn't our thing at all, but the one with salmon was very tasty! The service was very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was pleasant.

You have to bring a lot of time. You can't be hungry when you go out to eat here. If the main course takes over 1.5 hours, you have enough trouble in your stomach that you don't need anything else. Not recommended.

Had a lovely dinner here, booked online (though place is huge), great service (spoke good English), very nice food with large serves. Drinks were also good (nice house made lemonade) and room was nice and not too loud despite being pretty full. Place was sending out a lot of takeaway/ubereats as well. Well priced. Lots of vegan/ vegetarian options available

Wunderschönes Erlebnis Von Beginn an bekommt man hier das Gefühl , dass man hier herzlich willkommen ist. Das Ambiente lädt einfach ein mehrere Stunden hier zu verbringen. Der herzliche und kompetente Service verstärken dieses Gefühl zudem . Das Essen sucht in dieser Preisklasse seinesgleichen. Das Sushi ist ein Gaumenschmaus . Yesterday we visited To Kyo in Ulm. At first our impression was very good. The service lady was very friendly and our orders were taken quickly. The drinks were also brought quickly. But then everything went haywire. Our main courses were staggered or brought to the main course. It was initially not possible to reorder the drinks because the service lady no longer paid any attention to us. When we told another service lady our order, no drinks came to our table. At some point the lady responsible for us came to our table and we placed our drink order again. After over 20 minutes still no drinks. When we asked, the drinks were brought to us, but they weren't the top priority. The plates weren't cleared either. The starter plates remained on our table until the end. The reason for the whole thing was probably a larger group who had previously registered by telephone because they were under time pressure. But with all understanding, the remaining guests should not be forgotten. A lady from the next table complained to the service and even asked the management. Strangely enough, they too were noticed and, I would say, even courted. Even though the food was very good and well prepared, the whole thing unfortunately put a damper on our visit yesterday.

Delicious food and a very nice atmosphere. The boss was very accommodating in everything so that we were very satisfied from start to finish and had a wonderful birthday evening!!!

Sushi is ok, but definitely still room for improvement. The service was friendly and quick, but unfortunately the dishes that came to the table didn't quite correspond to what was ordered. We were passing through and expected more here.

Unfortunately very disappointed with the taste of the food. Of four main courses, three were tasteless. 1x coconut-peanut curry that looked like a pudding sauce from a tetra pack with no taste. 1x duck coconut curry with suspected frozen vegetables, tasteless and slimy. 1x fried udun noodles, by fried I mean more of a “dry” dish. Nothing that was swimming in a sauce that was unknown to me and also had a very slimy consistency. Two adults then spent the rest of the evening in the toilet, which in our opinion is due to the strong flavor enhancer (4). Positive: Ambiance, service and the dessert - baked banana.

We were lucky to get a table for two yesterday, even without a reservation, even though it was busy. The modern, Asian, well-thought-out ambience is inviting and shows great attention to detail. The service was extremely friendly and personal, the food was authentic and freshly prepared - we liked both very much. You are there for your guests with dedication and heart. Keep it up! Abbiamo provato questa sera, ad eseguire il delivery tramite deliverando.de Molto semplice ed intuitivo ordinare all'appartamento, un consiglio parlano solo tedesco, in inglese non capiva le indicazioni chi consegnava. In ogni caso, sushi variato, porzioni sopra la media a cui siamo abituati e veramente di ottima qualità. Prezzo ottimo Consigliatissimo

My husband and I are had many amazing meals here in last two years but recent experience is far from what it used to be. Service was slow and food was cold. In our experience food quality is also deteriorated.

A reservation is advantageous for the weekend, but during the week you can often find a good spot. There is an additional vegan menu. I can never recommend the crispy gyoza with sweet sauce on the table 11/10

Phenomenal Japanese cuisine in an unexpected place! We did not think we would find some of the best sushi and fried rice we have ever had while traveling through Germany. What a treat! The food was fresh and had layers and layers of flavor. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are kind and efficient and the price was just right for the amount of food we got. I will recommend this place to anyone coming to the area. It’s a must do!

Food and drinks were good. Waiting time on Saturday evening: 1.5 hours until the food came. If you have a seat right on the aisle, a lot of people walk past to pick up their orders.

I have come here for years and have regularly booked company parties but the service and quality has really suffered recently. The ceiling was leaking water and a bucket was placed in the middle of the floor. It took 1.5 hours for our food to be delivered and drinks were never refilled after being ordered. I was really shocked by the decline in the quality of service and attentiveness of staff. Even when we asked for the bill we had to ask twice and it took more than 20 minutes to get the bill. I do not plan to book future events at Tokyo.

The rooms are excellently tailored to the needs of people with disabilities, making the visit pleasant and uncomplicated for all guests. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also notable. Everything from the tables to the toilet was immaculately maintained, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. In summary, I highly recommend this restaurant. Very great sushi, the makis were full! The atmosphere is inviting, there are lots of staff, but that is also necessary. This means you will receive quick, friendly and attentive service. The menu offers many delicacies. There were three of us there and we really enjoyed it. Personally, there was too much sauce in the wok dish for me, but otherwise the wok dish was also great. I had a wonton soup beforehand, the wontons were fried, I didn't know that, but I was impressed by the dish. The lumpia looked like the run-of-the-mill "spring rolls", more like the kind you would find in a Chinese restaurant, but they were more full. Still little in common with real lumpia, but quite good. The sushi is A1, that's definitely what you should come here for.

My favorite spot in Ulm! The food was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything was packed with flavor to the brim and you could tell everything was super fresh. I tried a little bit of everything – the sushi was on point, the poke bowl I had was everything I ever wanted, the strawberry daiquiri was perfect for the summer and omg the sweet potatoes!!! The staff was super friendly and made us feel really welcome which made me fall in love with the place even more!

The two of us had dinner at TO KYO Ulm on the occasion of our wedding anniversary, and we couldn't be happier! The reservation via WhatsApp went completely smoothly and we were greeted in a very friendly manner when we arrived. The service was absolutely outstanding – incredibly nice, courteous and attentive. We felt welcome from the start. The sushi was an absolute dream, both visually and taste-wise! Every bite was a delight. We were also impressed by the ambience of the restaurant. It is modern, stylish and yet cozy, so you can feel completely at home. The price-performance ratio here is definitely reasonable – high-quality food and first-class service at a fair price. We were particularly impressed by the fact that despite the official closing time (approx. 10 minutes later), we were still served in a friendly manner, received payment and said goodbye. A great end to a perfect evening. Conclusion: We were completely satisfied and will definitely come back!

Real insider tip in Ulm. I ate HotWok with breaded chicken. Portion is more than enough for me. Very tasty sauce, rice quality is also good. Service was great. The timing was good, but I was there on Sunday and there wasn't that much going on. They have so many tables inside that you can't see them from outside.

Tolle Location, das Sushi und die asiatischen Nudeln waren sehr lecker, gute Portionsgröße, Preis angemessen. Der Rest des Essens wurde uns eingepackt, sogar mit Essstäbchen und zusätzlicher Soja-Soße. So eine liebevolle Verpackung sieht man nicht alle Tage. Auch die Ingwer Limo ein träumchen. Wir haben leider etwas lang (ca 45Min) auf unser Essen warten müssen obwohl das Lokal nur halb voll war. Das Warten hat sich aber mehr als gelohnt. Das Lokal ist etwas verwinkelt, dadurch kein störender Geräuschpegel. Sehr gemütliche Einrichtung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Wow, I'm at a loss for words!!! Eating here was harmony for all five senses. well-decorated ambience, music lounge in the background, fast, friendly service full of positivity. When the main course (you and me) arrived it was a wonderful feeling. Very fresh ingredients, well-cooked rice and the variety of different ingredients are like a gastronomic journey. Excellent, we'll be back.
