Timo's grill in Porta Westfalica

We had an excellent meal, the service was perfect, the interior design: well... We'd still gladly come back...

We ordered a doner kebab box and the Metaxa plate. The delivery was quite fast and the driver was very friendly. The fries were also very tasty, but unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say. One star for the delivery and one for the fries. We were very disappointed with everything else. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but there's no reason to order from here again.

I usually order through Lieferando, and everything always worked perfectly there without delivery charges. Prices on Lieferando are significantly more expensive. I recommend ordering directly from them next time. So I did. The person on the phone couldn't find my address, even after I spelled it out. The driver thought the situation was funny and made fun of me. Completely inappropriate. The food was, of course, only lukewarm. They charged a delivery fee of €3.50, which wasn't mentioned anywhere – not on Lieferando, the flyer, or the website. I called to ask for clarification and why it wasn't mentioned anywhere. They gave no explanation, only that I had to understand, since they had to pay the drivers and the car. Plus, it takes 9 minutes round trip, etc. I pointed out again that the delivery fee wasn't mentioned anywhere. No answer; they said they weren't the boss. It's simply outrageous! If you charge delivery fees, they have to be clearly stated! Absolutely rude, and the driver was impossible.

The food is top-notch! And the staff is very friendly.

We've been there many times and have had everything from grilled dishes to pizza. It was always delicious, no soggy fries or lukewarm food. We ate there, always got a seat, and didn't have to wait long for our food (normal wait time), even for takeout. We can't complain and will continue to stop by every now and then.

We've ordered twice so far, via Lieferando. Unfortunately, the food arrived lukewarm both times. The fries were much better the second time. The doner kebab and gyro meat are fine for a snack. The steaks and other dishes were unfortunately dry. The appetizer was a total disappointment; it's just a salad for €8, which is almost a rip-off.

The food is good, but the service is a bit disorganized. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

I had gyros, and the meat was excellently flavored, without much fat and well seasoned. The chef serves at your table. There is seating both inside and outside, beautifully decorated with flowering plants. The selection of dishes is very varied, and ouzo is offered after the meal.

A one-time experience for me!!! The pizza I ordered was a disappointment. Canned mushrooms. Who would do that? It was a total flop! The staff were nice, but their German was poor. The shop itself is also very worn and is partly used as a drinks warehouse. I stopped in while passing through; I wish I had gone hungry...

And the gyro plate was also incredibly tasty and a really good portion for the price!! Friendly staff, good portions, and okay value for money. The tables outside are rather rancid, and we needed a high chair, which was pretty dirty (we cleaned up most of it ourselves with wet wipes). Unfortunately, I have to say, I'm not as confident about the interiors, where customers can't get to.

I've eaten gyros at many grills, but this one is exceptionally good. The mayo is also excellent. A plate of gyros, fries, mayo, and onions for €10 is very good value. The owner and staff are very friendly, only losing 1☆ for the outside ambiance. Otherwise, a full 5☆ and 5💕

The quality has significantly declined. I had a grilled gyro plate, and the gyro meat was completely burnt. They won't be seeing me again!

If you're craving a little barbecue, this is the best shop in the area. In contrast to Ari (who used to be the best), Timo's food is always equally good/tasty and no gambling! In addition, the employees are always nice, you don't have to wait long and the portions are large. Update 09.24 Apparently the owner has changed and with it the quality. I've gotten food there two more times now and wasn't satisfied. In addition, the prices have not been adjusted, but have already increased quite a bit. I'm happy to pay for quality, but if it drops and prices go up, then I'm out.

We got something to eat at Timo's Grill. The currywurst was bad and tasted rotten and the fries were cold. The mayonnaise tasted rancid. I wouldn't go there again and eat anything there.

They treated me very well, fast food, happy with the service.

Normal grill. Not very clean. Talking on the phone less and cleaning more would change it. Prices very high. Maybe they should save you from bankruptcy. Never come to eat there again.

Unfortunately, the quality of the gyro plate has deteriorated significantly. (Sometimes raw and tzatziki completely different than 1-2 years ago) there are far better ones here.

Unfortunately, I think the store has deteriorated a lot in terms of quality in the last few months. We used to enjoy going there often, but since the “new ones” have been behind the counter, things have unfortunately slowed down. A pity.

Food quality is perfectly fine. Price/performance used to be good. Today a gyro plate with fries and coleslaw costs €12.50. Almost doubled in two years. For cost reasons, the store is no longer an option for me.

Prices have been increased by up to €7 per dish. We have been eating here regularly for 15 years. Or rather: HAVE eaten here regularly. With such a huge price increase, we are out as regular customers. A pity.

What you can do with a former gas station. There is good food at ferry prices.

We hadn't been there for a long time and found it very tasty (gyros trller and falafel plate). Decent portion. Nice service. Price-performance fits.

We ordered for 24 people on Friday evening. We knew that this would be a real challenge for Timo's Grill but the group didn't feel like going to a restaurant either. It took a little over 2 hours in total (we also had to serve walk-in customers at the same time) and to our great surprise the result was really tasty, plentiful and even at a good temperature. It was delivered, the portions were labeled and nothing was forgotten. Really great performance. Thanks for that!

What happened here?? I've never had such bad food anywhere. My husband just brought gyro plates. Flesh very very dark, dry and very bitter. Tzatziki went like this. Conclusion, food went in the trash. Too bad about the money. No longer recommended. We will NOT be coming back as long-time customers. Simply disappointing

The restaurant is becoming less and less crowded. People used to stand here. Of course, snakes have something to do with quality, which is definitely noticeable. The meat is very fatty.

Attention updated review!!! The review from the old owners can be found at the end of this review. The review written above was based on the old owners, who always made you feel welcome. Exactly! Those were the old owners. With the new ones things look completely different. During my last visit, the service staff was cleaning the windows. There were 3 outside! Tables occupied, inside there was a yawning emptiness. (That probably explains why the waitress cleaned the windows) The orders had already been made outside and a table had already received their order. I walked in and was greeted by bored men who preferred to do something else rather than greet me. (What I was used to differently from the other owners). At some point I was asked what I wanted and I placed my order (1x gyros pitta with tzatziki, 1x fries). Then something was done and then one spit was lit again, the other was already running. About 5 minutes later I was told that it would still take a while. With the old owners that meant you had to wait about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, the other tables' orders were brought out. and the table that had already eaten paid the bill. Up until now I couldn't tell that my order was being processed and I was already waiting for my order for over 10 minutes. After 15 minutes someone else came in and placed an order. This order had nothing to do with pita (1x schnitzel, 1x pizza), but there was no more movement in the group either. The order from another table outside also seemed to require discussion, but what was brought out was discussed intensively with the waitress. But inside you couldn't understand what there was to discuss. After waiting 20 minutes, I was able to at least report a milestone in the pita preparation project: the pita bread was taken out and landed on the grill. Shortly afterwards, another point in the project was reached: the meat was cut from the spit. Then suddenly everything happened almost at the speed of light (at least by the standards of the team in Timo's Grill) the flatbread was cut open, the tzatziki was put into the flatbread, the meat was put in, lettuce and onions on top. This all happened after about 25 minutes of wading time, all in a row. I was speechless! I wasn't expecting the pita before the end of the day (I was there around 7 p.m.), and the fact that they were able to prepare the fries at the same time as my gyros was nothing short of a miracle. So after a whopping 30 minutes I got!!!! finally my fries with the pita. As I said, it was empty inside, and outside there were just 4 tables with 2 people each and an order after me that hadn't been started yet. You shouldn't rely on the prices listed on the Internet, they are no longer correct. A gyro with tzatziki costs €7.50 and fries without everything costs €3. I wanted to pay with a 20 and then she seriously wanted to give me change in 50? Return cent pieces. Who is responsible for filling the cash register with change? All in all, in terms of operating speed and friendliness, Timo's Grill is now a complete disaster and a total failure. Waiting 30 minutes for a gyro with fries is impossible. The only thing that was normal was the amount you got for the money. The quantity is ok and meets the local standard. Long story short: Timo's Grill won't be seeing me again any time soon. We were very satisfied for years, but that has changed completely after the last few visits. Opening hours are no longer adhered to and sometimes people clean up over an hour before closing time while you are still sitting at the table and eating. No please, thank you or bon appetit from the current support staff. Both napkins were smeared with tomato sauce, so they were unusable! Pizza completely burnt on the edge. With four servants who prefer to smoke and sit around, there is no time to clear or wipe tables. Took pizza once and messed up the car seat because there was raw dough stuck to the bottom of the box. For us, the topic of Timo's grill is over! Thank you for the time when everything was ok!

Tried it several times now and every time there was something. Meat was gristly, something was missing, food was mixed up. If that happens, it's no problem at all. But unfortunately it has happened every time for the past few weeks. Which is why we don't go there anymore

Das Essen ( Gyros-Fleisch) ist etwas zu trocken. Das Brot ist ebenfalls entweder zu trocken oder es trieft. Der Service kommt für mich so rüber als hätten alle keine Lust zu Arbeiten, mann fühlt sich nicht so herzlich Willkommen.

Für den Kassierer schien Freundlichkeit heute wohl ein Fremdwort zu sein..man hatte als Gast ja fast Angst etwas zu bestellen..zudem wurde dann noch ein höherer Preis verlangt als auf der Karte stand..das geht gar nicht. Qualität des Essens war für den Preis aber okay . Nicht berauschend,aber auch nicht schlecht.

Leider war das Gyros nicht besonders gut und die Pommes waren in der Mitte roh. Jemand sollte den Koch mal informieren darüber. Bei uns gab es kein Krautsalat zu dem Gyros Teller aber es stand auf der Tafel mit Salat. Preise sind sehr gut und die Menschen auch sehr nett aber ich will ehrlich sein. Gruß

Das Gyros war sehr lecker, die Portion war üppig. Bedienung sehr nett. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für abends um 20:30h in der "Fremde" noch was zu Essen zu bekommen.
