Tijuana in Oberhausen

We didn't eat, so I can't say anything about it. But the cocktails were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there with friends and felt very comfortable. We would love to come back.

Very crowded, very dark in the evenings (you can't read the menu or really see your food) and very loud. Service was very nice and quick, cocktails at certain times were half price and very tasty, both the non-alcoholic and the alcoholic ones. Food rather mediocre. Wraps and quesadillas (without cheese, nothing for zodiac cheese) okay, fries first class, burgers good. Mostly standardized fast food/finger food. Price level rather high. In short: If you want to eat comfortably and chat, this is not the place for you. If you like cocktails and just need a (food) base, then yes. Oh yes, and paying individually is no problem if there are several people. It can even be ordered via QRcode and paid with Paypal. However, we didn't try it out.

Very good Mexican right on the CentrO restaurant strip. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service is very friendly, attentive and quick. There is a variety of delicious food and drinks. So far, we've always enjoyed it very much and always been full. The price-performance ratio is also right. We like to come back again and again.

Overall, the visit was okay; the friendly and helpful staff in particular left a positive impression. The food was also completely fine, but it lacked that certain “wow factor” that you would hope for on an evening in a restaurant at the weekend. A big point of criticism, however, was the tipping system in the toilets. A tip plate with a coin was placed on it, which seemed like an invitation to leave a certain amount. This felt very uncomfortable and intrusive to me - more like an old motorway service station than a restaurant. Unfortunately, this concept greatly spoiled the overall impression.

Wir waren mit sieben Personen (4 Erwachsene und 3 Kindern) sonntags nachmittags da und wurden von der Aushilfe abgewiesen, obwohl es genügend freie Plätze gab, wir voll verzehren wollten und auch eine kleine Wartezeit in Kauf genommen hätten. Auf Nachfrage, wer das zu entscheiden hätte, sagte man uns, dass der Vorgesetzte erst später käme und die Kollegin das so entschieden hätte, da die unterbesetzt seien. Sehr enttäuschend!!!

My husband and I went for Mexican food for the first time. The food was very tasty, even if it tasted a bit unusual at first. Our waitress was very helpful and competent. The atmosphere was very authentic and cozy.

We had dinner there yesterday. Despite there being a Christmas market and the restaurant being completely full, we only had to wait 10 minutes for our food. The service was outstanding and the food was also very good. The next time we are in Oberhausen, we will definitely eat there again!

We were there for dinner 4 weeks ago with 12 people from the company, the restaurant was very full and we had to wait a long time for drinks. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the food, one meal was completely forgotten and the person had to measure it, so to speak. Not so nice. The food itself was really good. The cocktails were also delicious and plentiful. Good value for money.

I can't say anything about the food. We were there with a group (+me with a toddler) and we only ordered coffee and cocoa because it was raining cats and dogs outside and it was pretty cold. I wanted to give my child his food (since he was hungry and can't eat tacos or anything like that yet) and a waitress came and said I wasn't allowed to give him the food he had "brought with me" and I had to do it outside.. so a friend asked if They could then turn on these heaters outside, then we would sit outside (there wasn't a pig sitting there because it was raining and it was cold) and the waitress said I wasn't allowed to give my child the food either and I had to get away from the place ... well said and done (we wanted to leave but unfortunately we had already paid) so I went out with my child and looked for a place where we could stand underneath and gave him the food... we went back in, sat down and my child wanted to breastfeed again It's going to be good, I thought... then I loudly expressed whether I was allowed to do that at all since it was food for my child that I had brought with me that didn't come from their kitchen 🙄😒 They are outrageous and then they advertise on their website that they are child-friendly and that they advertise “we love kids” in a big way I didn't notice anything So if you have small children who can't or aren't allowed to eat everything, it's not worth going Oh, and you can't change your child there either... the shelf can't hold 10 kilos, just put it on the backpack alone, I thought it would break off (so the child was temporarily changed on the toilet) Oh and the cocoa didn't taste good either, it was way too bitter and you didn't even get a biscuit or something like that at other restaurants, so I'd rather make it myself at home and pay the same as for a cup at them, but they have a lot more of it which also tastes good

Delicious food, large portions for little money. Wide choice of cocktails and generous happy hour prices. Child friendly and very nice staff. Due to the large space and hustle and bustle, it is a bit noisy, but it also fits the atmosphere of the restaurant.

We tested the lunch special today and found it to be good. Delicious food at a fair price/performance ratio in a cozy atmosphere and with friendly service. The restaurant is largely barrier-free and the sanitary facilities were clean. We'd love to come back.

I have nothing at all to complain about the restaurant itself. I just care about the staff. My girlfriend just wanted to go to the toilet, but she was refused, and security was called and we were laughed at. I have no words for it. Just unqualified. And all because of a trip to the toilet. Never again. I have never been treated so disrespectfully.

A disaster! We have now been waiting for our food for over 1.5 hours, while all the guests who came after us have already been fully served. The service seems completely overwhelmed, our order seems to have been forgotten. There was no apology or any attempt to salvage the situation. The ideal place to eat Burritos & Co. in the CentrO. Always happy to come to Tijuana. Unfortunately it was a bit too loud recently with guests and music. Otherwise everything as expected.

After forever wanting to finally go out for Mexican food (especially quesadillas and burritos), we combined the visit to the Gasometer with dinner at Tijuana. A great ambience and courteous and fast service fulfilled our wish. The quality of the food was absolutely brilliant and the quantity was also really good. We didn't even expect that. Great class! If we take a short trip to Oberhausen again, Tijuana will definitely appear in the daily schedule again. 😊

Basically just a big, fancy chip shop, the food is designed to be prepared quickly from the deep fryer, there's nothing homemade or anything like that, I would say! Special requests such as “no tomatoes” will not be taken into account in wraps, for example! I wouldn't go here again!

Delicious food here. You get large portions that are filling. Good affordable restaurant with happy hour on cocktails all day long. The food was delivered quickly after ordering every time. On the other hand, it often took a long time before the ordered drinks were delivered. You can easily order everything via a QR code, or from the staff.

I haven't experienced an evening like today for a long time. At first we were actually greeted quite friendly, but then things went steeply downhill... The waiter at the table was relatively reserved when it came to greeting us. Then the QR code was thrown onto the table for us to order ourselves. Then our drinks came, but the waitress tipped the drink over and it spilled all over the table and my companion. Something like that can happen, but it's important how you deal with it. We had to clean up the puddle ourselves and the waitress left with the words “That’s fine, right?” No apology, nothing! There is no concept of service whatsoever. The other waiter slammed our cutlery on the table without even looking at us. Then I ordered something more using the great self-ordering function because the waiter wasn't there anymore. After 15 minutes had passed, I asked politely whether I would receive 3 additional wraps. It turned out that the order via the “great” app hadn’t even arrived in the kitchen… The wraps were then brought to me, but after half an hour another 3 wraps arrived… So the transfer worked really well. All in all, we can't really recommend it here, but luckily there is plenty to choose from on the promenade!

It was really nice outside under the umbrellas including heaters. The service is attentive, funny and quick. The food was tasty. The portion is large and reasonably priced. Exceptionally good food, heavenly dessert, delicious cocktails, the cocktail prices shock you, but only until you realize that happy hour lasts all day until 10 p.m. The prices for the food are absolutely fair. The toilets are on the ground floor and are therefore easy to reach if you are not that good on foot. The chairs in the interior are also suitable for people with more weight or wider hips, are stable and have no armrests

There were 4 of us there for a cocktail 🍹 and sat outside on the terrace by the water. The waitresses were on point and friendly, and the cocktails we ordered came quickly. No restaurant on the promenade has such a range of different cocktails. Everything we drank was delicious. So if you're looking for a good cocktail bar, you'll find it here!! It wasn't the first time I was there and certainly not the last time either 😉

Mexican cuisine, but burgers 🍔 are also served. Prices ok. Drinks are a little more expensive but still within reason. Rooms are a bit “rocked out” but still ok. Background noise very high. Food was quite good. Service very friendly. Toilets clean. What more could you want?

After waiting half an hour for anyone to come our way (the store wasn't full), we had to wait another 15 minutes to even order drinks, despite asking. We were only able to pay after asking three times. Lack of staff or not - there were a lot of people there who were just standing around.

Unfortunately it is very dark in the restaurant and you don't know what you are eating.

Great restaurant and super cool service. We were indoors in unsettled weather. Seating was free and the waitress came very quickly. Our cocktail was large and half price. You should really think about this! And my Impanema was very tasty and very well mixed! The food itself was really very good. Our wraps and the self-assembly plate were very, very tasty. I would love to come back the next time I visit CentrO!

I was there last night and I have to say the food was very tasty. The cashier with black hair was super friendly and personable.

The waiters are not at all interested, we waited 25 minutes to order, no one looked, we called out, they didn't hear, it took them 30 minutes to bring 1 cappuccino after the order, it was literally very bad.

Die große Aussenterrasse ist bei schönem Wetter perfekt. Der Service war sehr schnell und wir konnten bestellen. Weitere Bestellungen sind auch über einen QR-Code möglich. Die Enchiladas waren angenehm gewürzt und die Menge war ausreichend.

The large outdoor terrace is perfect when the weather is nice. The service was very quick and we were able to order. Further orders are also possible via a QR code. The enchiladas were pleasantly seasoned and the quantity was sufficient.

Unfortunately, our visit to Tijuana was anything but satisfactory. The service was friendly and the burgers were served quickly, but that was about the positive. The atmosphere seemed very run down and wasn't particularly clean. The burgers themselves were of very poor quality – they were the worst we have ever eaten. Even our children left their burgers behind. This was definitely our first and last encounter with Tijuana. Very disappointing!

The ribs were completely overcooked and dry, and there were far too many fries as filling material instead of more ribs or some variety on the plate.

Going out to eat spontaneously on a Saturday afternoon - no chance. Even with repeated waves, eye contact and speaking, we waited almost 20 minutes until we could order. The drinks came after another 10 minutes. After a total of an hour we canceled our meal again. A curt answer from the catering staff, “If you don’t have an hour to spare, maybe you shouldn’t go out to eat” resulted in this rating.

We (4 women) went to Tijuana yesterday on a Saturday with a reservation. There was a concert at the arena that Saturday and the staff was really busy. The outside area was packed. Despite the high number of visitors, everyone in service was always friendly and had a smile on their faces. Everyone was very open even to a few conversations. The shift management had everything under control and our waitress Azra was great. Thank you for the lovely evening with you.

Nice food and lovely staff. I had the beef fajitas which were nice and tasty, and reasonable value for money. Very similar to home cooked fajitas. They had a nice selection of beer and good non-alcoholic beer to. Sitting out by the water is available. I would come back.

Horrible experience with the food. You could tell it was clearly microwaved and thrown together. It’s not Mexican food by the way, how insulting. On a positive note though, the staff is friendly and the drinks were okay.

If you take a closer look inside the restaurant, you quickly notice how unsightly and dirty everything is, despite the dim light. The benches I sat on were full of wax and other contaminants. The fact that my table wasn't wiped really irritated me. In addition to mineral water and green tea, I ordered vegetarian quesadillas, which tasted acceptable. However, the side salad was served without dressing, and the dipping portions for the quesadillas were so tiny that I had to order them again. Overall, not at all convincing...

People who came after us left when we still didn't have our food. And then the food: unfortunately most of it didn't taste great either. You can just tell that, like many others now, it is a chain. There is simply no individual, valuable taste in the food. A pity.

Long wait before we were helped. The main course of 1 person in our party came with the starter of the others. And the rice is cold. The spareribs were stated on the menu as coming from the BBQ. In reality they came from the fryer. It tasted good and that's all. I'll never eat there again.

Considering that it is one of many restaurants at CentrO Oberhausen that has strong competition, the food here is really great! In addition, the service is really great, gives you advice and is super nice. Plus we didn't have to wait long for the food. Maybe. 10 minutes if it still came. One star deducted for the food because it's a bit low for the price and doesn't quite correspond to the quality for the price, but that's really complaining at a high level. Really good restaurant, will definitely come back. 👍🏻👌🏻

Das Lokal selber ist renovierungsbedürftig, die Sitzpolster fleckig und zerrissen. Die Dekoration richtig staubig. Tische nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Personal ist überhaupt nicht aufmerksam, zu wenig Besteck, Sonderwünsche beim Essen wurden nicht berücksichtigt. Mehrfach mussten wir das Personal suchen. Essen aber okay, Portionen mehr als ausgiebig. Nicht empfehlenswert
