Tigre is by far one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Hamburg - a must every time I'm in the city. Many people think it is a classic Peruvian restaurant, but it is not in the traditional sense. Rather, it is a modern, fusion-like interpretation of Peruvian cuisine combined with other culinary influences - and that's what makes it so special. As a Peruvian, I can say this with a clear conscience: For example, the Lomo Saltado is served here without the typical “fries”, as is traditionally the case. But this interpretation is so incredibly delicious that it is one of my absolute favorite dishes on the menu. There are enough classic Peruvian restaurants, but there is only one Tigre! A big compliment to the kitchen, which always delivers excellent quality, and to the team, who are warm, attentive and with a beaming smile. I think it's great that many of the wait staff speak Spanish - it adds an extra authenticity to the experience. The ambience is also something very special: a mix of Peruvian culture with masks, pictures and other lovingly designed details that fit the overall concept perfectly. My recommendations: • Starter: Ceviche (be sure to order with “Ají” for an extra kick). • Main course: Lomo Saltado – an absolute delight! • Dessert: Everything on the menu – just ask for a recommendation. A tip for pisco lovers: The Pisco Sour is often mixed with Chilean Pisco. And as we Peruvians know: real pisco comes from Peru - what Chile produces is at best aguardiente. 😉 My tip: When ordering, indicate that you want to use Peruvian Pisco - then the Pisco Sour is really perfect. I'm really looking forward to my next visit. The Tigre is a real highlight in Hamburg and an absolute recommendation! Cheers 🥂

The service was phenomenal. The atmosphere and the place are very nice. The food is too expensive (and spicy) for what they serve you because they are not even tapas to order several things, because of how expensive it is, but you don't fill up with one plate either. A little disappointed. I would never return!

Very nice atmosphere and the staff very flexible and understanding. Food is really tasty and extraordinary. I would say it's not for everyone. But I liked it very much. Prices are a bit higher but I think it's very fine tapas. So also appropriate. Great experience, I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy.

100% real Latin American flavors, I had the opportunity to try the vegan Kimchi & Cream, the vegan Patatas Bravas and the new Honey Moon dessert and they were all wonderful ✨ Even though most of the dishes I ordered were vegan, the flavors were still being intense and delicious, and what better than to end the night with a delicious dessert with hints of mango and honey. Everything was really perfect! 🩷

Food, service and ambience were very good, but for me the price/performance wasn't quite right. Even with the high quality of the food, the portions/side dishes could have been a little more generous. Still highly recommended, but you shouldn't come with a growling stomach and a small budget.

We were recommended to eat at Tigre by some friends - we were especially recommended the Patatas bravas. So we ordered them and the spicy crunchy eggplant, the Arroz con pato and the Arroz con mariscos. For dessert we had the Luna de Miel and the Churros. The eggplant was amazing! So was the Arroz con Mariscos! The Patatas bravas was a bit dull - disappointing and the duck breasts fat quite chewy. But It tasted good. Especially the rice! The Churros was the high point of the evening and highly recommended!!

Tolles Essen und Ambiente, wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Zum Geburtstag gab's sogar ein Dessert auf's Haus. Wir werden wiederkommen. :)

The negative: -Everything was too spicy, there was no way to enjoy it!!! - the exaggerated prices for the little they bring - has nothing to do with Latin American food!! The positive: -The environment is good - They play music from Latin America - The waiters are attentive

The ceviche and salmon in the starter were from another planet! Also the beef with the creamy polenta and grilled onions. Really really strong.

Very good tasting food at slightly overpriced prices. When booking, it is clearly stated that the maximum length of stay is 2 hours, but that feels really stressful not relaxed on site. In terms of food, it really is a clear recommendation!

One of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg! It's different, quite loud music, a bit busy, but that's what makes it special. A very relaxed atmosphere, very nice service and a cool decor. Just a great experience to be here. We shared a total of 8 dishes. Everything was excellent and an extreme taste experience. It was often borderline spicy, intensely herbal, and unusual in consistency. The ceviche was exceptional and different to what I was familiar with, a creamy sauce is poured at the table and a spicy oil is drizzled. The fish fades into the background due to its spiciness and intense taste. The roasted corn kernels took some getting used to at first, but then they fit quite well. The Arancini con Gamba with the fresh coriander was my highlight, next to the Lomo Saltado. Gladly again at any time.

What a wonderful place Tigre is. I will start with the food, the quality is excellent, and flavors to die for. We tried the beff tacos, salmon tataki and the adovo pork. Wow is the only word to describe. The desserts were also delicious. All the people were very nice, and the place has a lovely atmosphere, with great music. A special thanks to Dhaniel!!!!! We definitely be coming back 😉

It's more of a pub than a restaurant. The food is well prepared and the dishes are also very original, but unfortunately this cannot be called a complete meal - the side dishes are missing. I had a dish with chicken, but only this, there was no vegetable side dish, no other filling side dish, such as bread. Communicating with the staff is also difficult; the loud background noise makes communication difficult if you have little knowledge of the German language. However, the service is very friendly and strives to ensure the well-being of the guests. It is very loud there, the escalation that is often encountered is loud music, therefore loud conversations that require further loud conversations, so that ultimately it is difficult to have a conversation across the table. Certainly not that problematic for a meeting for two, but with a group of five or six people it is hardly possible to have a conversation together and it is also very tiring.

Were here for the first time, very, very tasty… Service staff helpful and helped us with the selection. All the tapas were super delicious, only the salmon tartare wasn't our thing, too soggy... but everything else was 🤌🏼

tolle Atmosphäre. Auf der Herrentoilette fühlt man sich wie im Urwald. An unserem Abend war eine große Gruppe junger Gäste da. Daher war der Abend nicht von Totenstille dominiert. Sehr ausgefallene Speisen! Geschmacklich war alles ein Erlebnis. Eine Espressomaschine sollte man sich selbst mitbringen!

The food is always a treat, absolute recommendation!! Would come here again and again. It's just a shame that you get thrown out of the store after 2 hours :( that makes it a bit uncomfortable.

Wir haben den Geburtstag meines Mannes dort zu viert gefeiert. Dafür, dass wir mit den Worten: we love Birthdays empfangen wurden, war am Ende nichts zu spüren. Ja, uns wurde ein Dessert nicht berechnet - that's it... Insgesamt war es uns viel zu laut (Musik und Geräuschkulisse), das Essen war mal was anderes, aber das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmte unserer Meinung nach nicht, wir haben lange auf unser Essen gewartet und hatten kaum den letzten Bissen im Mund, da wurden uns schon die Teller entrissen. Unser Tisch neben der Tür zur Toilette war auch nicht der Brüller. Alles in allem können wir den Hype nicht nachvollziehen und würden kein zweites Mal ins Tigre einkehren.

Der Wein war ausgezeichnet. Das Essen leider deutlich versalzen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das konnte das Gesamtergebnis aber nicht mehr rausreißen.

The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. However, it was very warm in the restaurant itself that evening and there is no air conditioning, unfortunately there was no more space outside.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen in einem schönen, ausgefeiltem Ambiente mit überragender Bedienung runden ein überaus gelungenen Abend ab. Einzigst der Preis ist ein wenig höher wie der Durchschnitt.

Excellent overall! My favorites were the ceviche and the lomo saltado, although all six dishes we ordered exceeded expectations by far. The restaurant has a modern touch with a Latin design that's on another level. The staff is friendly and very welcoming, making you feel at home, especially if you're Latin. I highly recommend it 100%! Don't forget to try the pisco sour and snap a photo in the bathroom—Jesus Christ will be with you for the rest of the night 💖🥰.

Darüber, das die Bedienung kein Deutsch spricht, kann man sicher hinweg sehen. Aber dass man auch bei einer höheren Rechnung nach zwei Stunden aufgefordert wird en Tisch zu verlassen, ist schon eine Frechheit

Es ist ein sehr angenehmes Lokal, sehr lässige Atmosphäre. Aussenplätze zwar direkt an der Straße, aber überhaupt nicht störend, da wenig Verkehr. Bedienung und Speisekarte englisch sprachig. Wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder, um weitere Gerichte zu probieren ;))

Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but still nice. Ambiance is great, although a bit dark. Otherwise it is more expensive but also really tasty. Nevertheless, the bread and the potatoes could be a little cheaper. Bread for 7 euros is just too expensive and you have a lot of sauce that you could eat with it.

Excellent, special food. Not to be confused with Spanish tapas, you get spectacular “little things” here, each of which is very well thought out. I doubt whether it is originally Peruvian, rather experimental fusion cuisine, but at its best. Must try: salmon with sesame, spicy...

Ganz exquisite, feine Kleinigkeiten, die nicht zu verwechseln sind mit spanischen Tapas. Teilweise besondere Geschmacksnuancen, die ich noch nicht kannte... Und endlich bedeutet scharf auch einmal scharf. Den Lachs mit Sesam unbedingt probieren!! Ein Restaurant, in das man vermutlich nicht wöchentlich geht, aber definitiv immer wieder.

Alles sehr reich, unglaubliche Atmosphäre und toller und sympathischer Service, wir werden wiederkommen.

Gut gelegen in Altona, teils sehr ausgefallen schön was das Ambiente angeht. Besonders die Decke im Waschraumbereich sehr schick. Ansonsten etwas zu hochpreisig so finde ich. Alles aber sehr schick angerichtet und es schmeckte alles. Die 2 Stunden Reservierungregel verstehe ich von Gastgeberseite, aber für die Gäste ist es ein Zeitdruck und man muss sich nach einer zweiten Location umschauen wenn man noch nicht heim will.

Wir saßen drin, leider war es viel zu laut, weil auch Gruppen dort waren und wir konnten uns nicht unterhalten. Wie fühlten uns dadurch nicht wohl, das Essen ist mit kleinen Portionen übertrieben teuer. Wir gingen nach 1,5 Stunden, nachdem wir gegessen haben.

Alle waren super nett, haben durch das Menü geführt und tolle Empfehlungen gemacht...super Team, tolle Atmosphäre, toller Ort...immer wieder gerne

Das Essen war - wie immer - hervorragend. Wir fühlten uns jedoch durch den Service gestört: Obwohl wir viel bestellt haben, fühlten wir uns schon nach einer Stunde den Tisch für andere Gäste frei zu machen! z. B. Mit Fragen: Seit ihr jetzt fertig? (schon nach einer Stunde - Anstatt z. B. ob wir noch etwas möchten), der saubere Tisch wurde zwischendurch komplett abgewischt etc.

Hatten einen tollen Abend! Das Essen ist geschmacklich und optisch herausragend. 🙌 Für uns passte hier leider die Preisleistung nicht ganz, da wir am Ende leider doch noch sehr hungrig waren. Ein paar sättigende Vorspeisen zum Sharen wären perfekt gewesen! Danke euch! Wir kommen wieder :)

The Tigre was recommended to us by a colleague. Our expectations were more than exceeded. The service, the food and the ambience were simply sensational. Unfortunately, Hamburg is not around the corner from us, but if we come back to this region, it will definitely be high on our to-do list to visit! We had no idea about the cuisine and the dishes, but Joaquin our waiter put together a starter, main course and dessert for us...a true artist. Thank you again.

I celebrated my birthday with 10 people at Tigre - everyone was thrilled. Great team, very attentive and friendly. The food was unusual at first glance and bite but then extraordinary, a taste explosion. On the recommendation of the house, we had a colorful mix of cold and warm, meaty and vegan tapas, which were incredibly well received. The waiting time was ideal, everything was still nice and warm and super fresh, brilliant combinations. Overall, high-priced but impeccable cuisine and with this nice service we would happily return. Also the cocktails are at their best. Absolutely recommended! :)

Food prepared and presented to a very high standard - every single item was delicious, especially the many vegan options. Staff are friendly and we did not have to wait long. The music is a bit too loud for my taste, but I would certainly return when next in Altona.
