A lovely, authentic restaurant! Highly recommended; the owner is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the portions are very generous. :) If you appreciate a peaceful atmosphere and good food, this is the place for you.

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve tried outside Vietnam. We are in Munich for only 3 days and we came here twice. The dishes we tried (all were great and hearty!): Mixed (Banh bot loc + Banh cuon) Bun bo Hue dac biet Bun cha Ha Noi Chao long banh quay Dessert: Cha Thai And the lady who owns the place is so lovely :)

Attitude of not paying, contempt for customers when paying in coins, lack of respect. Food is quite small.

After waiting for over an hour, we still hadn't received our food and finally had to leave the restaurant. No apology, no explanation – just a request not to write a bad review. I definitely won't be coming back.

I am happy that I have visited this place--suggestion of a Vietnamese colleague. The food is super tasty, it is significantly better than any other Vietnamese/Asian restaurant I have tried in Munich including some of the way pricier ones. It is a delightful spot in a city full of restaurants serving overpriced average food in fancy surroundings. I am looking forward to my next visit.

The pho is absolutely fantastic! Clear, fragrant broth, tender meat and fresh herbs – just like in Vietnam. I'll definitely be back.

The food here is made with fresh ingredients and carries a truly authentic Vietnamese flavor. We tried a variety of dishes — from noodle soups to rice plates and even dessert — and everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. In general, I found the food taste okay, not outstanding. The broken rice was very full and fresh, although it didn't have much of a grilled rib smell, with lots of fried pork rinds. I asked for another bowl of soup and the staff was very enthusiastic in bringing more. There were also a lot of egg rolls and pork skin, so eating one portion was enough to make me full. As for the Hue beef noodle soup, I was a bit disappointed, the broth was a bit small, the special bowl didn't have blood or beef balls, and the raw vegetables weren't very diverse. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food, but I would rate the service quality 5 stars.

The noodle soup without crab or shrimp still costs 19 euros per bowl. Each bowl is only half full, making it feel like you're eating at a fake omakase (a type of noodle soup). The beef noodle soup was ice cold; the bowl was hot, but the noodles were chilly. The prices are exorbitant, but the service and food don't match.

The restaurant is located on a small street and is often busy. They have a Vietnamese menu in Vietnamese, where you can find more unusual dishes. The rice porridge with offal is incredibly delicious, but the appetizer wasn't really my cup of tea. The service was friendly, but apart from the owner, no one speaks German very well. If you're looking for something unusual, this is definitely the place to go.

I went to this restaurant with friends last Saturday around 8 p.m., and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We were seated at an outside table without any prior warning of the long wait. Only after ordering were we told it would be a very long time. We ended up waiting from 8:30 p.m. until almost 10 p.m. and had to ask ourselves, only to be told that our food hadn't even started yet. Meanwhile, the restaurant continued to serve guests who at least got something to eat inside. When we finally decided to leave, there was no apology—instead, we were asked not to write a bad review!!! This behavior is absolutely unacceptable to me.

The food doesn't taste good and isn't typically Vietnamese. They're even more expensive than any other Vietnamese restaurant I've eaten at. It's simply not worth it. And we had to wait until we were almost starving. The waitress there was unfriendly and didn't say a word to the customers. Disappointed.

The food tastes really good. The waitress initially thought I was there to pick up an Uber order, for reasons only she knows. The older lady who served us in the second half was very friendly and pleasant.

Good food, we had banh xeo, banh luon and chicken fried rice, they were good. The owner Thuy was very friendly, we talked a bit, she thought my daughter was my gf hahaha but i told her otherwise. We were introduced to Ms. Thuy's restaurant by a friend here. We came from Düsseldorf to stay in Munich for 3 days but ate at the restaurant twice, because the food was delicious, good quality, affordable, and most importantly, everyone at the restaurant was very enthusiastic and friendly. Ms. Thuy also let us park our car in her private parking lot. Her restaurant gets 10 points for no buts🥰

The food at Thuy Restaurant was okay for my taste, albeit a bit too salty. But everything else was a disappointment. The service was extremely poor: there were hardly any staff, and the owner seemed overwhelmed and slow. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when we asked for the bill several times, we were either ignored or simply forgotten. This made our wait even longer. The tablecloths were dirty, with food stains from previous guests. Cleaning them doesn't seem to be a priority here. There are also two menus: one for all guests and one for locals. My neighbor's table received both menus, even though they weren't locals. The owner may have only brought us the "regular" menu for everyone; we didn't get the locals' menu, even though we should have asked for it. Only later did a nice young lady bring the locals' menu, which relaxed things a bit. Overall, the food was okay, but the service, cleanliness, and organization left something to be desired. If you value a smooth, clean, and friendly restaurant experience, this is unfortunately not the place for you.

Lovely ambience and the owner was very kind and friendly. Food & drinks were ok to us but not that excellent. However whether you’re looking for Viet food or a Viet missing home food, this can be a good option~

Cozy atmosphere with plenty of delicious Vietnamese specialties. The chao long and banh xeo were delicious. The wait was very short. Highly recommended. 👍

The beef noodles were very refreshing, and the rice noodles were smooth and chewy. It was the best pho I've had abroad. I highly recommend it to everyone. You won't get a bad rap no matter what you order (at least that's how it was for us, maybe we were lucky).

They have a special Vietnamese menu with dishes you don’t usually find in other Vietnamese restaurants in Munich.

Unfortunately, a disappointment. At first, the restaurant and the ambiance weren't very appealing. The good reviews and the many Asian guests made us go in anyway. Then, the older waitress rudely asked us why we didn't make a reservation on a Friday night. Arriving at the wobbly table, covered in hair and food stains from the previous diners, we were about to leave, but unfortunately, we stayed put. The young waitress, who couldn't communicate well enough in either German or English, then brought us a completely watery wine spritzer and a really good thuy cocktail. Unfortunately, this only filled half of the large wine glass... but at least it came with a plastic straw ❤️ The beef summer rolls and beef rice noodles are highly recommended. Unfortunately, the chicken cashew dish we ordered was completely without a cashew, or just something else with sweet and sour sauce?! Overall, though, it was quite okay.

THIS!!! Here you'll find the most authentic Vietnamese food in Munich! The atmosphere is rather down-to-earth, not as super chic and modern as many of the Vietnamese restaurants here... The prices are also absolutely reasonable, and you really get value for your money here. The service is great, and as I said, the food is simply WOW! :)

We were there for lunch, and even though there were only two other customers, we waited an hour for our food because delivery orders are processed first. It's difficult for people with jobs to take that long a lunch break. The food was okay, but not outstanding. The ambiance is a bit dated. We probably won't go there again.

This place is just WOOOWWW!! We left 10 minutes ago and I have to write a review right away. First of all, thank you for serving us so nicely just before 11:00 PM. The food was absolutely amazing, the peanut sauce was incredibly delicious! We haven't had such a good meal in a long time 😅 The waitress (I think it was the manager) was super nice and friendly! She stayed open extra late so we could eat in peace. We'll definitely be back! The portions are huge and super fresh and delicious!

Tastes just like in Vietnam, finally a restaurant that really cooks traditionally and doesn't, like most others, tailor the menu to suit German guests and the tastes of Europeans. There is really good food here!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. After I was presented with a card that only listed the Vietnamese names, without any descriptions or pictures, the waitress asked me to simply explain what I wanted (rice noodle soup with chicken). The waitress said she knew what I meant, I had specifically asked for the price: €14.50. I was then brought a soup without noodles with some chicken. I then ordered noodles again (and then put the lukewarm noodles into the soup). At first they wanted to give me extra credit for the noodles. When I pointed out that I had ordered a noodle soup, the waitress accommodated me and didn't count the noodles. In short: the soup was way too expensive for the price, it wasn't tasty, and it didn't fill you up either :D So it's best to stick with the menu and not improvise!

I've been there twice, once at lunchtime and once in the evening. In the evening the dishes and service were good, although not outstanding. At lunchtime we found the dishes boring in terms of taste and appearance, and the selection of vegetables was very limited - not to say minimalistic. Quite a shame for the price. The service was... well, present... to take the order, put the food down and clear it away and pay the bill. All in all, we think there is a lot of room for improvement.

I would say that it the best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich so more! The food is fresh and really authentic! They have some cuisine that we can not find in other restaurants! However, I think reservations is highly recommended! The space is small but really special for 90-2000 era of Vietnamese!

Might be my new favorite Vietnamese. The owner is very personable and knows her craft. If you have specific requests, you should call her the day before and tell her what you would like her to cook. Be sure to reserve here! The store is very busy.

Unfortunately, this was a bad experience. The food we had (Pad Thai and Chicken) was awful. Their homemade drinks weren’t good either. The service was alright but nothing special. They offered us free dessert which was thoughtful, but we refused. The atmosphere would have been average, if our chairs wouldn’t have been sat through and the tablecloth dirty. Seeing the other reviews, we were quite surprised that our experience was that bad. Therefore we can’t recommend this place.

We have been coming to celebrate birthdays for 4 years. All very tasty. Both the rolls and vit go vi (i.e. the duck that you roll yourself in rice paper). Prices have risen, as everywhere else, but are still moderate for Munich standards. Our waiter was extremely nice and the food came quickly. Tables are big enough but a bit close to each other. You should reserve in advance and perhaps come by public transport, as parking is difficult there. €30 per person including drinks

Such a wonderful place, super delicious food, we were even allowed to eat with the locals/family in the back area, it was so authentic and Thuy is super friendly even though she has been working so hard every day for decades. We'd love to come back

The food at the restaurant is okay, not as special as advertised. However, what made me dissatisfied was the Vietnamese employee's unprofessional service. I hadn't finished my meal yet but my dishes were taken away. My attitude in responding to guests was unpleasant, as if I wanted to chase them away. This feels very disrespectful and not polite. The only plus point is that Mr. Thuy (the owner) is very cute, friendly and welcoming. But the service staff is really reprehensible. She needs to be retrained in social interactions so she can work in this field. Hopefully the restaurant will improve this issue so customers have a better experience in the future. The food at this restaurant is okay, but it's not as great as advertised. What really disappointed me was the unprofessional attitude of the Vietnamese waitress. She started clearing my plates before I even finished eating, and her responses to customers were rude, almost as if she wanted to chase us away. It felt very disrespectful and impolite. The only highlight of my experience was the owner, Ms. Thuy, who was extremely kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the behavior of the waitress was truly unacceptable. She needs proper training in social and customer service skills to continue working in this field. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to improve the customer experience in the future.

Although the food was delicious and Ms. Thuy is also very sweet, I heard some bad words when the waitress was talking to the staff in the kitchen. I'm a student, I don't have a lot of money and I just want to order a small portion to save. But the attitude of the staff makes me uncomfortable 😢

Thúy is a lovely restaurant with authentic Vietnamese food. The dishes are delicious and freshly prepared. The owners are very friendly - you immediately feel welcome. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, perfect for a relaxing evening. Definitely worth a visit!

The food was sooo good and I can only recommend it. The staff was also very friendly. So really just feeling. The traditional dishes were to die for.

We ordered the food and were thrilled. The beef in the soup was thinly sliced, pink on the inside, and cooked perfectly. The children also really enjoyed the fried noodles with vegetables. Clear recommendation for all fans of Vietnamese cuisine!

Best Banh Canh Cua I have eaten in Germany

The food is very good for Munich standards! Since I come from Berlin, I'm unfortunately a bit spoiled and am therefore deducting a star from this point. However, I recommend the restaurant simply because of its authenticity and, above all, because of the super friendly owners! I have rarely experienced something like this where I felt like I was Vietnamese, like I was visiting my long-lost aunt and uncle. They even included 3 bottles of wine for the large visit of around 20 people. You quickly notice what a lovely person she is and how much passion goes into the shop. However, you should make a reservation at least a day in advance or let us know before you come over with so many people, as the restaurant is not that big. In short, it is a very family atmosphere and the food is of very good quality, Great recommendation!

Really disappointing experience here. The Mai Tai cocktail my friend ordered was the worst cocktail I’ve ever had - alcohol and juice just thrown together, not mixed whatsoever. Tasted abysmal. The noodle dish we got in the clay pot was nothing spectacular, not much flavor. The other various meat or rice dishes weren’t very appetizing either. I wouldn’t recommend seeking this place out, there are far better Asian restaurants here
