Very nice old restaurant, top service and great food

You should write on google maps and notice your customers that the kitchen is closed and re opens at 17:00. Waste of time.

Very tasty and home-style cuisine.

We had a very unfriendly waiter. The Solianka was oversalted, there was a lot of trouble with the cellar, in the end we had the managing director brought in, he was very nice and we were able to sort everything out.

Not bad per se, the main courses were pretty good, although the sauces were far better on my last visit a few years ago. Unfortunately, some things around it didn't convince us. The waiter seemed totally stressed, two people from our group came a little early. They still received cards from the waiter, but unfortunately the rest of the table didn't. The waiter, for example, hardly knew any schnapps on the menu and always just said: "Oh, do we even have that" and was therefore hardly able to give any information. He seemed new, things weren't that bad, but he seemed very unfriendly due to his stress. However, two other points really bothered us. On the one hand, the smell in the toilets was not appropriate for such a location, more like a motorway parking lot and absolutely unbearable. On the other hand, the yoghurt dressing in the side salads was very bland and too runny, tasted correspondingly watery and, despite seasoning with pepper and salt, simply had very little taste. If the price of a main course is beyond the 20 euro mark, I think you can expect a lot more.

Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly, which is a shame - the Thüringer Hof restaurant has a lot of potential.

A very good place to go in the heart of Leipzig for years. Uncomplicated table reservations (which is definitely recommended in the evenings and on weekends). Very pleasant atmosphere in the historic vault, which, however, guarantees a somewhat "too good" acoustic for a full house ;-)) Friendly, attentive service and delicious, genuine Saxon-Thuringian home cooking. Always worth a visit.

High quality of original Thuringian food. Large portions, taste perfect. The staff is attentive, polite and helpful. A bit dark in places, but a nice atmosphere thanks to the vaults.

I have rarely if ever had to eat such a lousy pork schnitzel in a restaurant. For a motorway rest stop in the middle of the night in the rain, maybe €5-7 is okay. But for 25€ a maximum impudence. That shouldn't be called Thüringer Hof in Thuringia!

Super delicious German cuisine - if you can hear the schnitzel being freshly made and it still tastes great, then we are completely satisfied. And the curds for dessert rounded it off. Thanks!

We like to go to Thüringer Hof because they have very good food. Above all, I like that they offer Schäufele 😋 Plus, the service is always very attentive and super friendly. Another reason why we would like to come back.

Historical flair, pleasant ambience

We had lunch at Thüringer Hof with a tour group on June 22, 2024. Although the food was pre-ordered, our table received the food after waiting for over an hour. My husband and I ordered schnitzel with peas. The peas lay dry on the plate without any sauce or tossed in butter. Schnitzel and fries so-so, so-so. We do not give any recommendations for the restaurant.

Very friendly service, prices very high

There were four of us. 3 of us were quite happy with the food but the sauerbraten didn't work at all. According to the menu there were raisins but they were missing and the meat was very burnt on the edge. We complained about it immediately but there was no response from the cellar. That doesn't work at all, even when we were clearing away, we mentioned it again because the meat wasn't eaten either. The only response was that he couldn't do anything about it. This has never happened to us before, an impossible behavior.

Roulade was okay but dumplings were very small and red cabbage from a jar. That's not possible and a disgrace for a restaurant like this. Food was more than great! Mega tender meat in the Tafelspitz and the pork goulash. Delicious. The price was right and the dessert was also convincing. Even without a reservation, you can get a seat on Friday evening. Excellent!

I ordered the recommended dish of the day. A plated burger with mashed potatoes and salad. When I cut the burger I noticed that it was completely cold inside. What an oversight!

We have enjoyed coming to the Thüringer Hof as a family for years. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, the service is courteous, pleasant and quick. And the food is just delicious. Even the little ones and seniors are taken into consideration... That means portion sizes and an extra children's menu with coloring options. We'd love to come back.

The visit to the Thuringian Court in Leipzig was a mostly good experience. However, the service was a bit slow for me and the food didn't fully impress me either. I ate a spicy venison goulash. I still wonder to this day what's so spicy about it. It hardly tasted like anything. It's by no means spicy like it said on the menu. The ambience is nice, but it is quite dark in the Thüringer Hof. Even for Leipzig city center the prices were quite expensive. Overall, it's a matter of taste whether you want to visit the Thüringer Hof again or not. I will tend to avoid him.

An excellent restaurant with tasty dishes. Rabbit leg and pasture sheep fillets were excellent. The waiter and waitress were very friendly and attentive. This restaurant is reserved for your next stay in Leipzig. Everyone keep it up. Thank you!

Nice location, unfortunately after that You left the restaurant after having a coffee and asked to use the toilet again because there were no toilets on site.

Our food wasn't that good, unfortunately. My Schäufele was very dry and the sauerkraut was too sour for me. My companion's meat dish was also unsatisfactory and not tenderly fried.

The food was divine. The sauerbraten was to melt in your mouth, says my wife. I had the Wermsdorfer Char of great quality at real prices. Gladly again. The waiter is very friendly and responded to my wife's request to make a smaller portion for her. I don't understand some people who think you can get a three-course meal for less than €20. Stay as you are.

The Thüringer Hof has established itself as a traditional restaurant in Leipzig. The dishes are home-style and prepared to a high standard. The price-performance ratio is great for this quality. The portions are generous and you'll feel full. And of course it tasted good too. The service is very courteous and pleasantly friendly. Dogs are welcome.

At lunchtime we were at the Thüringer Hof, a beautiful vaulted restaurant! We felt comfortable, the service was very attentive and the food was excellent. Well, a bit expensive, but it was worth the money 💰.

To be on the safe side, we made reservations. We arrived on time, but little by little the restaurant filled up. The service is very attentive, the beer is cold and delicious. We had half duck and boiled beef. We can recommend both dishes.

We were at the Thüringer Hof in December. Maybe on the wrong day when I read the other reviews. The service for our table was impossible. Good thing we at least had reserved seats. Waited forever for her to take our order, waited forever for the food. She completely forgot to bring beer and didn't really apologize for it. The evening was very disappointing for us because we visited the Thüringer Hof with great expectations (and on recommendation!). But the food was really great, boiled beef, pork knuckle, sauerbraten - everything was top notch. A big compliment to the kitchen.

Wir haben im Rahmen unserer Weihnachtsfeier im Thüringer Hof gegessen. Das Essen war lecker, der Service angenehm. Die Preise sind gehoben, etwas über dem Durchschnitt, aber der Thüringer Hof ist ja auch nicht Durchschnitt. Mir persönlich gefällt der große Raum nicht, weil man auch die Gespräche am Nachbartisch mitbekommt... aber das ist halt Geschmackssache.

Ohne Vorbestellung zur Mittagszeit einen Tisch bekommen. Kellner sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen kam relativ schnell. Geschmacklich sehr gut.

DAS Restaurant für Gans in der Stadt, auch feine andere, gutbürgerliche Gerichte, von Roulade bis Sauerbraten. Und etwas für Menschen wie mich, die guten Service sehr schätzen. Lasst darum gern auch angemessenes Trinkgeld dort!🖖🏼

Traditional food, somewhat pricey, in a gloomy environment. We weren’t very hungry, so ordered traditional potato soup for two of us and Würzfleisch for one, and everything was far too salty. Not great.

Der Gänsebraten wird zum teuren Vergnügen. Ist lecker, aber 36€ sind schon eine Frechheit und fast doppelt so teuer, wie noch vor zwei drei Jahren. Nicht mit uns, gibt's die Gans eben zu Hause.

Das Rostbrätl hat super geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr gut. Leider hat die Gaststätte bereits um 22 Uhr geschlossen. Etwas früh für einen gelungenen Abend...

Ich war 2 Stunden vorher da um einen Tisch zu reservieren, da sagte man mir das wird schwierig aber eine Person bekommen wir hin. Also war ich dann 19 Uhr da und das waren viele Tische frei , die dann auch frei blieben. Dafür war das Essen super lecker. Habe mir das typisch ostdeutsche Würzfleisch bestellt. Als Hauptspeise gab es bandscheiben vom Hirsch mit mit Schinken-Rosenkohl und leckere Soße und gebratenen Semmelknödeln.. alles sehr lecker. Dazu ein köstritzer und zum Absacken einen Haus kräuterschnaps... Atmosphäre dort war super und die Kellner sind aufmerksam.

Für mich ein No go ist, dass Hunde in ein Speiserestaurant mitgenommen dürfen. Das trübt den sonst sehr guten Eindruck
