We were a couple dining at this restaurant and left our coats with the staff at the cloakroom. Upon leaving, one of our coats was missing. The staff's response was extremely hesitant to offer any assistance or help. Furthermore, the "No liability for lost or stolen coats" sign was unprofessional, as the coat had been actively taken by the staff. Overall, a very disappointing experience, which we did not expect in this category. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

We visit the restaurant regularly; the food is excellent, the ambiance is contemporary, and the service is very friendly. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The "spice" in the name refers to the variety of spices used (and not to spiciness). The food is especially good for sharing and trying different things—it's a real treat!

A slightly different interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine. The sauce on my dish was very salty, and although I like salty food, I give Laura, who works upstairs, 5 stars. She is friendly, loves her job, and is very personable.

We were guests from Berlin. Our evening began with a warm welcome and was made even more pleasant by Laura's service... (Thank you so much, dear Laura). Unfortunately, the food was bad – far too salty and a bit too spicy. I had ordered shish kebab and was, sadly, totally disappointed. It's absurd to put three meatballs on a skewer and serve or sell them as shish kebab! Also, please note that each table is allotted a seating time of two hours. So we sat there for two and a half hours and paid €200 for two people. We were just about to leave when a guy next to me, who was practically standing right in my face, indicated that we had to leave. While this isn't very professional, an unprofessional waiter or manager is more likely to harm the restaurant than the guests anyway. Perhaps this little reminder will help you remember that... We still had a great evening afterwards.

A truly special restaurant. The stylish ambiance is impressive, and the atmosphere is unique. The team deserves special mention: friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. The cuisine is a highlight: freshly prepared dishes, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and the flavors reflect authentic Middle Eastern cuisine at its finest. The prices are on the higher end. Our visit was a complete success: great atmosphere, excellent food, and first-class service. We will definitely be back!

The Spice Bazaar is a very good Mediterranean-Oriental restaurant right on Marstallplatz near the Residenz in Munich – making it very easy to reach. It's beautifully decorated, boasts a very diverse and creative menu, and invites you to try everything. I had a delicious Berber chicken with Love Hearts salad – so incredibly tasty and exceptionally flavorful – I'll definitely be back.

Excellent food with vegetarian or even vegan delicious options. Special sparkling white wine.. very kind service.

Excellent food from a kitchen staff that clearly takes pride in their dishes and ingredients. Beautiful space if not a little loud on a busy night. The cocktail list was extensive but it was difficult to order drinks. Overall well worth the stop.

As a food expert coming from the Mediterranean region, I can say that the seasoning and flavors here have nothing to do with real Mediterranean cuisine. Despite my disappointment with the food, my husband and I tried to enjoy our romantic dinner — but it was completely ruined by the extremely unfriendly and aggressive behavior of a waitress. She came very close to my husband, only about 5 cm from his face, and tried to spy on his phone. We have traveled a lot in our lives and have never experienced such disrespectful treatment in a restaurant. Paying more than 100 € to be disrespected is not something I would ever recommend.

A wide variety of cuisine from around the world! The service and ambiance are out of this world. I would personally come back to Munich just to eat here! I don't even need to talk about the food; the quality and taste are fantastic! Highly recommended, worth every euro!

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at "The Spice Bazaar" in Munich. The restaurant advertises itself as Mediterranean, but the food has little to do with Mediterranean cuisine – I'm from the Mediterranean myself and know what I'm talking about. The atmosphere and decor are lovely, and I wanted to take some photos of the surroundings. But suddenly, a waitress approached me in a very pushy and unfriendly manner, looked at my phone, and aggressively asked if she could help me. I found this intrusive and disrespectful. Shortly before I was about to leave the restaurant, I went to the restroom – where the manager asked me if I had taken photos of the waitress. I was honestly shocked to be confronted with such an accusation in the restroom. I calmly explained to him that I had only photographed the atmosphere, not the people. We paid around €120 for two people – for food that, in terms of taste and quality, absolutely did not justify these prices. Nice decor, but overall a disrespectful atmosphere and no hint of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. If there were zero stars, I would give it that.

This fabulous restaurant, located between the Marstall and the Residenz complex, has been serving delicious, colorful international cuisine with a Mediterranean-Oriental focus for several years. Even the snacks and appetizers are so delicious that we constantly order such a wide variety (burnt eggplant, creamy date, Jerusalem artichoke, meatballs, etc.) that we barely have room for a main course like the delicious ceviche variations. The service team is also highly rated: prompt, friendly, and well-informed. The cool interior, with its cleverly chosen lighting elements, and the casual outdoor terrace complete the fantastic impression. Keep it up! 🍸⭐️

The restaurant was a little difficult for me to find. But the location, tucked away from the traffic, is wonderful, even if you can sit outside. But I really enjoyed the inside, too. The oriental ambiance really appealed to me. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our seats. The service was attentive, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We had chicken skrewer and Berbian chicken, and black sesame seeds for dessert. Delicious!

Excellent Levantine cuisine. All dishes are freshly prepared, meticulously prepared, and full of flavor. The service is exceptionally friendly, but above all, knowledgeable and honest! (If something is too much, keep an eye on the restaurant's highlights...) The muhammara, the bazaar parmigiana, and the Oriental Mess & Black Sesame ice cream are particularly noteworthy. The prices for the starters are fair, while the main courses are on the higher side at €34-37. The Primitivo, at €29, is fair and delicious. Suitable for a date (good lighting), a meeting with friends and family (because you can share everything), but also as an after-work option (although it is rather noisy inside).

A very stylishly decorated restaurant serving oriental cuisine. It's best to order a wide range of starters, side dishes, and snacks, placing everything in the middle, and everyone helping themselves. The menu is now somewhat simpler and no longer comes as a loose-leaf collection on high-quality paper. Service isn't quite as attentive as it was in the early days, and it can take a while to be served, especially outside. Too few people are being used when the restaurant is full. Reservations are strongly recommended. In the summer months, it's best to sit outside on the beautiful terrace; otherwise, sit inside on the ground floor. The gallery seating is very close together and significantly louder, so avoid it if possible.

There were four of us and we spent almost €500. Not including many drinks. We were really looking forward to the evening, but it just wasn't great, neither the food nor the service. It's very cozy outside in this courtyard-like setting, and the seating is nice, although the benches, which are attached to the umbrellas, are only moderately comfortable, unfortunately. The table was set, but not everyone had cutlery. Oh well, that happens... The appetizers and main courses were generally average to quite good, but not delicately seasoned, rather over-seasoned. Interesting creations, but the food simply didn't come across well due to too much spice. The chili beef was very stringy. The same goes for the aperitifs. We should have opted for something simpler. Less would have been more here. The raspberry rhubarb sorbet we ordered was green and turned out to be basil ice cream (we assume). The waiter just laughed. This is my second time here, but it will be my last. The price-performance ratio is simply not right.

Really underwhelmed by this place, after I received recommendations from friends to try it out. Each dish, while unique, lacked flavor and “spice.” The drinks were very good. The service was very slow, and seemed abrupt and robotic. For the price, I would definitely go somewhere else.

A great restaurant in downtown Munich, decorated in a modern oriental style. Warm colors, beautiful lighting, and contemporary. Unfortunately, the seating on the gallery is very cramped, and the tables for two are very small. For that, the ambiance loses one star. But I would give the food six stars. We had three appetizers, each of which was quite filling. The falafel meatballs and gambaretti were exceptionally well-combined and seasoned. Each dish was a delight to eat. The hand-crafted cocktails with cardamom and gin are also a treat. Reservations are essential, ideally three weeks in advance. The restaurant was absolutely packed, even during the week. Despite this, the service staff manages to remain friendly and relaxed. Great! Highly recommended if you want to try something new.

One of the rudest service crews we’ve ever come across, from start to finish. Starting by the host assigning us to a table in the sun, when the restaurant was empty (4 tables taken), and when we asked if we could have a seat in the shade, he pulled a face. Then, the menu doesn’t have any labels for any allergens or dietary restrictions whatsoever. When we ask about any dishes being vegan, the waitress huffs and puffs saying we should’ve ordered the allergens menu (as if veganism was an allergy, and as if we knew that the menu was so complex). Because yes, the allergens menu turns out to be a complete mess, made so complicated and confusing, with items/ingredients that sometimes can or cannot be removed from the dish, things that are lactose free but not specified if dairy-free, and so on. And that’s coming from a chef, myself, that had a hard time making sense of that menu. No wonder the food attendants get distressed and confused trying to explain it. Besides that, it’s disappointing considering it’s a middle eastern restaurant and the dishes have such a twist that make them totally unauthentic and limiting (falafel made with parmesan, babaganoush with yogurt, etc). If with an empty restaurant the service is already so unfriendly and low-standard, I cannot imagine when it’s full. The restaurant has a lot of room, but the biggest room there is, is room for improvement, specifically in the customer service. Edit: their reply doesn’t make sense, which shows me they don’t really know which customer they’re talking to. In any case, their responses to the customers’ bad reviews say it all about the type of people that run this place 👎🏼

I recently ate at Spicy Bazaar – and what can I say? It was an all-around fantastic experience! The ambiance is modern, cozy, and full of thoughtful details that immediately make you feel at home. But what really made the evening special was the excellent service. A huge thank you goes to Franko, who looked after me during my visit. He was not only extremely friendly and attentive, but also truly passionate about his work. Franko made sure I wanted for nothing, was always there at the right time, and his warm manner perfectly rounded off the evening. You can immediately tell that the well-being of his guests is truly important to him. The meal was – as the name suggests – a delicious journey through the world of spices: sophisticated, aromatic, and beautifully presented. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Spicy Bazaar to anyone who wants to experience great food and top-notch service. Thank you, Franko – you're fantastic!

The food is quite expensive. The place is crowded. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Spice Bazaar and were extremely satisfied. The food was excellent, and the wine list offered a wide selection at reasonable prices. I would especially like to mention the truly friendly and competent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would gladly return.

We waited for so long to get some simple drinks. Asked for bread and came soooo late. After we order drinks and worst drinks ever. Cocktails were like mocktails. We had starters. Finished them and nobody came to ask for main course. We waited for sooooooo long. We decided to leave. Bad management. All we saw it was managers running around putting some lights around. Such a shame. But definitely bad drinks and bad service.

My first visit to Spice Bazar will definitely be my only one. I find it unacceptable that a restaurant—which, after all, speaks of a "modern interpretation of the Orient" and sees itself at a "crossroads of cultures and traditions"—prominently and out of context places clearly racist depictions of the "Sarotti Moor" in the entrance area, depictions from which Sarotti himself distanced himself 20 years ago for obvious reasons.

An upscale Mediterranean restaurant with reasonable prices. We were very satisfied with the appetizers, which were imaginative and tasted really good, but not with the main courses: While everything is organic, the ribs were unfortunately mostly fatty, and the chicken skewers prompted a serious bathroom visit. Even assuming these were slip-ups, I can't give it more than 3 stars. 🌟 🌟 🌟 There's comfortable seating both inside and outside.

Perfect location: The food is varied, interesting, and delicious. Seating is pleasant both inside and outside, and the service is excellent. There are always exciting cocktails to discover when it comes to drinks, too.

The service, food, and ambiance here are truly outstanding. I've rarely experienced such friendly and competent service as here. It's also great to sit outside. Large umbrellas provide plenty of shade. Sunbathing is also available. I would come back anytime.

I didn't particularly like the food: The shrimp ceviche was served with limp, flavorless tomatoes and a large amount of sauce—more like a soup. The baked eggplant appetizer turned out to be a mousse. After waiting 30 minutes for the bill, I told the server that we had waited a very long time. He replied that they had a lot of customers and we should try another restaurant next time. We will.

For me, Spice Bazaar is one of the few restaurants where you really experience that “wow” factor. The food is not only really good, but also exciting - it's worth trying out something unusual here. The dishes are creative, with intense flavors and well presented. Inside, the restaurant is elegantly and stylishly furnished without appearing pretentious. It's definitely fine dining, but every cent is well spent. No fancy, no chic - here you meet people who just want really good food. Absolute recommendation for connoisseurs!

So: I already gave a 5-star review about a year ago. I have to revise this based on my current experiences. Furthermore, I am of the opinion that the food in this restaurant is absolutely excellent. However, I am shocked by my experience with the service today! We reserved a table for four people weeks ago. Several weeks later it turned out that four more people wanted to come along. Due to the often high occupancy of the restaurant, we didn't want to risk canceling our existing reservation for 4 and instead made another reservation for four people in the hope (and, given the high quality of the restaurant, expectation!!!) that we could then push two tables next to each other together or something similar. But when we arrived today we were told that the tables were in other places in the restaurant. We then asked in a solution-oriented manner how the eight of us could somehow sit together. The waitress then told us harshly that she “knew these tricks” (which tricks please??) and that we wouldn’t be able to share a table. We then pointed out that there were still several reserved tables for four next to each other available and politely asked if it would be possible to swap the reservations so that we could sit together. The waitress rejected this harshly. We asked in consternation whether it was really the restaurant's interest to send regular guests out the door. The waitress replied: “Yes, we have enough reservations and can do without them”. I would like to make it clear that I have never experienced such treatment in a high-class restaurant and I really see the incidents as an outrage. Our entire group is very upset.

The taste is great and the service is great too. Unfortunately the food is extremely overpriced. The meat skewer pictured cost €29.50. Sorry, but that's just too much. You even have to pay extra for the bread with the hummus.

We have visited this restaurant several times in the past and originally liked coming here because of the quality of the food and the pleasant ambience. Unfortunately, our impression has changed significantly recently. The service is repeatedly disappointing: long waiting times, little attention and an overall unfriendly tone. What was particularly irritating was an employee's statement that regular guests weren't important because they had enough customers anyway. This attitude leaves a very negative impression - one would expect a restaurant that appears to be successful to value loyal guests and respond to feedback. It's a shame that the good impression of the kitchen is overshadowed by the lack of service. We will probably take a different approach in the future.

The ambience and service are really top. The food too, relatively speaking. It's just really extremely overpriced. I had chicken skewers, 4 of which arrived with a little sauce... for €32. So you would have expected more. But starters are filling. You don't necessarily have to take main courses. Overall therefore 3 stars.

The Spice Bazar in Munich sounds like a journey into a world full of aromas, spices and exotic taste experiences. In reality, unfortunately, you end up with “pretty okay”, but at prices where you would have expected a little more than just “okay”. The food was lukewarm, the octopus and shrimp were overcooked and all tenderness was lost. In terms of taste? Solid middle class. You'll be full, but it'll be a firework display for the senses. stays out. Food looked great 👍🏼

There were 10 of us, we ate and drank well and of course tipped well. We wanted one last drink (12:00 a.m.) and they said the bar was now closed. We would have been informed. We weren't and the manager had to admit it in the end. But instead of him saying, I'm sorry and here you have your last drink, he sends his employee forward just to apologize to us. We all found that cheap, narrow-minded and shabby.

I had dinner with old friends. This place was introduced as Middle Eastern tapas, but the size of the food was too huge to be called tapas. We ordered two menu items per person, but there were so many that we couldn't eat them all. The food was generally healthy and the variety of cocktails was especially good. The staff's service was warm, friendly and quick. I liked the atmosphere because it was quite hip but not cluttered. It's a great place to have a drink with lovers or friends.

It’s my second time I visited this restaurant. The menu changed a bit as I recognized that the crispy beef menu was gone 🥲. Nonetheless the food and the service were great! Especially recommending the bazaar surf & turf as well as the fries! The corn bread dessert was unexpectedly delicious and creative! Please try it!!💛

Unfortunately, I can't share the enthusiasm when it comes to cooking today. Everything was beautifully presented and fresh but unfortunately the taste was disastrous. Beluga lentils, fatoush, even the hummus - all incredibly sour. What was probably supposed to provide freshness was completely exaggerated here and shouldn't really happen at this level. Too bad.

For groups of 7 or more you can only order a menu (cheap menu price without drinks €63/person). 😂 After confirming for 8 people, they emailed me and asked what kind of menu we wanted. Because I didn't respond, my reservation was canceled. After consultation, they forced me to choose a menu again (price 73€/person). I responded by email because I couldn't select the menu for my colleagues in advance. I wonder why we couldn't order something from the menu like in a regular restaurant? They called me several times and since I was at work and couldn't answer the phone, they emailed me because if I can't choose a menu within 2 hours, my reservation will be canceled again. With a deadline of 4:00 p.m. on dinner days. We ended up going to another restaurant because everything was too complicated and stressful for me. They also told me on the phone that I was the complicated one. This is very disgraceful. Bad experience, so unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant for 7 people or more.

The food is really delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic. But unfortunately I have to deduct a star because the service does not meet the restaurant's requirements. We had to wait forever for the aperitif and despite ordering otherwise, dessert came first and a good 10 minutes later the espresso (then without sugar, for which we unfortunately had to wait again).

Delicious, so expensive. The spices are worth every penny, the beef stew needs a slap on the chef's ass. Asking someone to treat me to a meal feels like a bribe. I won’t do it myself.

Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, modern cooking techniques and delicious fresh spices and fruits that the chef uses wonderfully. Sufficient beverage varieties for the menu. Wines of organic origin. And delicious cocktails. Portions are large so one should make the right choices when ordering food. Because you will want to eat everything. It is necessary to congratulate the waiters. They are small in number, but they provide very good service to their crowded and high-expectation guests. Our young female waitress who took care of our table was prompt and courteous. Those who happen to be in this beautiful part of Munich should not forget to make a reservation. I can only say this: Could there be better ventilation? Because the upper floor is a bit unlucky in this regard. A place we would like to go again.

I recently visited the Spice Bazzar restaurant in Munich and loved it from start to finish. The lovingly and comfortably furnished ambience immediately creates an inviting atmosphere in which you feel completely comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the extremely courteous and friendly service staff, who were always attentive and helpful. The culinary offering also left nothing to be desired: every dish was a delight, lovingly prepared and presented with a lot of creativity. It is obvious that the work here is done with passion and high quality. An all-round successful evening that I can warmly recommend to every gourmand. Five stars for the exceptional experience at the Spice Bazzar restaurant.

The food is really delicious and the portions are good even for a restaurant in this price range - just as it should be. Waiter attentive, sometimes too hip for my taste. Yes, the shift manager who has already complained (or similar) is not my taste either, but it's also about food. My octopus was something completely different and the ceviche was really very balanced and delicious 😋. The others' osso buco was also great! Can be recommended.
