The Silesian Oasis in Görlitz

I wouldn't go there again. "Slesian" is more of an excuse for high prices for very simple dishes.

16 of us went to the restaurant for dinner. The place was immediately full. The restaurant is comfortably furnished. Unfortunately, the waitress was only there for the guests and was a bit overwhelmed at first, but things got better. The Silesian food was good and plentiful. We had Silesian grandma dumplings, Silesian heaven, chicken breast with mushrooms, and roast pork in red wine sauce. The solyanka is highly recommended. The soup of the day wasn't available because it was a day off the next day. We also didn't have 2cl of schnapps because there were no glasses available, but you could have... Nevertheless, we can happily recommend the Oase.

We felt very comfortable, welcome, and well-maintained. We highly recommend a visit. Parking is available nearby. The Silesian food was fresh and very tasty.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or drinks. We sat outside for half an hour and were ignored. The waitress chatted a lot with other guests, but we weren't served and left.

I loved it here. What I ordered was really good and delicious. The food isn't some mishlen, but it's really good. I liked both the green soup and the beef! The service is also good, the ladies are nice. The only downside is that you can't pay by card :)

Great restaurant with delicious food. The waitress is a gem. First, our dog was given water and a blanket and a snack, and then we were served 🤣. Even though there were a lot of people, she quickly went to everyone and had a good sense of humor ☺️. Bigos and Himmelreich were very tasty. That's how it should be everywhere!

Truly a "Silesian oasis"! Dishes that delight, fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. Service is friendly and prompt, despite the large number of guests.

Nice service. Subterranean food. The person cooking here has had all his taste buds surgically removed. It's actually impossible to prepare a smoked pork roast so that it tastes of nothing but boiled pork and is as tough as a shoe sole. This chef has done it. I had the national dish, Silesian Heaven. It was awful. Our tablecloth had stains so dry they weren't fresh. The bottle of mineral water costs 7 euros. Still, that's okay. You don't usually treat yourself to luxury. In my opinion, all the good and very good reviews of pork dishes are fake. The person cooking here can't have learned how to do this. That's impossible. He doesn't even want to cook. Probably some magician this person cooked for robbed him of his last remaining taste buds.

A great restaurant with incredibly friendly service!

The waiter provided incredibly poor service. We had a few questions about the food. He answered them, but then made fun of us for not liking the food. Overall, one gets the impression that the waiter should hold back a bit when meeting guests from abroad and immediately asking questions about their origins.

A very nice little restaurant, the service was very friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely delicious! They also have a small selection of vegetarian dishes. If you want Silesian food, you'll find a good selection here. When the weather is nice, you can even sit outside.

We were there on Saturday, just for a spontaneous meal. We were served very quickly and nicely and didn't wait too long for our food. On the subject of food, we had Silesian Kingdom of Heaven, Viennese cutlet, chicken with mushrooms gratin. As well as a tender chicken soup and the beef tartare. It was just super delicious. And very nice service staff. We would love to come back.

Great restaurant with delicious and freshly prepared food! You could hear the schnitzel being made and even the raw vegetables were freshly prepared on site! The carrot salad was a hit with the kids and was even ordered as dessert! That wasn't a problem either. The Zurek soup is served in a roll and was the best I've ever tasted! The pierogies were also handmade and very tasty! The vegetarian menu was also very varied! We'd love to come back!

When we were looking for Silesian cuisine, we found what we were looking for in this inconspicuous, rustic restaurant and got a place on the second attempt with 7 people including a dog. The service was very friendly and attentive; So in addition to water, the dog also got a little something to snack on from the kitchen! We chose bigos, pierogi and breaded cutlet; all 3 dishes were super delicious!!! In the end the price was right too. Definitely a recommendation and if you're in Görlitz it's worth a visit!

Very tasty, authentic Silesian dishes! We were there for dinner with six people and it was good that we had reserved, otherwise we certainly wouldn't have found a place. The service is very friendly and attentive and will be happy to explain something to you about the dishes. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is definitely good and the selection on the menu is large.

6 stars instead of 5 – an unforgettable evening in the Silesian Oasis! We were in Görlitz for two days and visited the Schlesische Oase restaurant for dinner. It was simply fantastic! The food was freshly prepared and tasted excellent - we have rarely eaten so well. Of particular note were the homemade pierogies and the chicken medallions with mushroom sauce, which were absolutely delicious. For dessert there were traditional Silesian dumplings with poppy seeds – a wonderful rounding off to a perfect evening. The service staff was extremely friendly and gave us great advice with great food recommendations. We also learned that well-known personalities are guests every now and then, which for us is just another indication of the high quality of the food and service. In our opinion, the restaurant deserves not just 5, but 6 stars! A big thank you to the entire team – we would love to come back!

We celebrated our class reunion in this great restaurant. The reception was super friendly. The service was very courteous and quick, always a kind word or joke. Diverse menu, everyone was happy with their choice. Every dish was top notch and beautifully prepared. The friendly waitress took photos of us and encouraged us to sing. Changes to the court are not a problem. The location in the old town offers a great ambience. All in all, we like to come back like every year. Update 2024 Like every year, our first port of call was the oasis. The food was, as always, very tasty, but the portions had become smaller (instead of the usual two beef roulades there was only one) and the price had increased. You can always accept a price increase for good food, but the quantity should not be reduced. Too bad

The menu is very clear and you are not overwhelmed by a flood of dishes. The suggested dishes always depend on the season and also sound very tasty. I haven't experienced such fantastic service in a long time. The owner - Mrs. Renata - offered us delicious dishes that were served very quickly and efficiently. Additionally, she recommended interesting attractions in the area. You should know that payment is only in cash.
