I think it's a fantastic restaurant. We reserved a table, but when we arrived, it was very quiet. But that didn't dampen our enthusiasm, and that was a good thing. Friendly staff, good drinks, and the food was excellent. Stylishly decorated restaurant, great atmosphere. It's a great place to party.

I ate ice cream there back then. It was incredibly delicious.

Authentic East German cuisine in the center of Zeitz

Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. I was completely ignored at the counter for about five minutes yesterday – without a simple "Hello" or a smile. When I then asked for a table, the waitress reacted very rudely and simply said that they were closing at 5:00 PM – even though the online opening hours are listed as 10:00 PM. I couldn't find any notice to that effect upon entering the restaurant, otherwise I would have saved myself the trouble of asking. I understand that it's not easy to find good staff these days, but in this case, the service was unfortunately completely inadequate. We then went to the Schnitzelschmiede and received a warm welcome – just as you would expect as a guest.

Very cozy and friendly staff. The menu was clear and not overly extensive. There was something for every taste.

About the food: - The salad still had water from washing, was clean, but had a strange aftertaste. - The spinach dumplings were good, but not outstanding, especially the consistency. - The mushrooms in sauce were great. - The broccoli and cauliflower were significantly too watery; they weren't drained properly, which diluted the mushroom sauce. The taste was average, but they were cooked to perfection, not too soft, which is very good. - The drinks were great. Service: - The drinks and food arrived within a reasonable timeframe. - The plates were wet around the edges with sauces from other plates. - We were offered a table with the comment that the other tables weren't clean yet. We assumed we could sit at a "dirty table," as there was only one beer glass there, and that table was more comfortable for the wife and child. The waitress then very "directly" expressed her displeasure about this mistake. The situation was resolved, and I must emphasize that the waitress seemed friendly and conciliatory overall. The argument was that this was a matter of hygiene. Nevertheless, my wife (who is sensitive) was clearly upset by the incident, and the restaurant visit and the entire dining experience were significantly marred as a result. Even if the guest is in the wrong, one should always communicate with sensitivity, especially because the guest didn't make the mistake with malicious or reckless intent. This is absolutely avoidable. Ambience: - The front of the menu is peeling off, the children's menu (for coloring) is a black-and-white copy, and the pencils for it aren't sharpened. - The men's restrooms are partially damaged, and some of the lettering on the doors is damaged. - All in all, you can tell that the restaurant is a bit dated, but it is kept clean and tidy. Hygienic. The price is reasonable, and apparently, despite this rating of 3, the restaurant can't complain about a lack of customers, which seems to forgive the negligence. In the end, it's nice to see a privately owned restaurant flourishing, but one visit was enough.

Definitely a nice place to linger. Restrooms are a bit of a challenge for older people, but structurally, they certainly can't be changed. Super friendly, and delicious food.

Absolutely not. We were there last night with our 3-year-old granddaughter. The waitress came with crayons and the children's menu to color in, as well as menus for us. We asked for a high chair, and she promised to bring one right away. After waiting 20 minutes, we got up and left. We didn't get a high chair, and our orders weren't taken. I, or rather, we, haven't experienced anything like that in a long time. We even told the waitress, and she didn't even apologize.

We had an excellent meal here; the portions were enough to satisfy everyone. The staff was very friendly, and the outdoor area was pleasant. Even my wheelchair was no problem.

We ate here one lunchtime, and what can we say? We felt like we had to apologize to the cook for having to work because of us and leaving her sunny spot. Our dishes were a bit dark, or rather, they were cooked for too long, so they were too tough. We went back in the evening, and she was sitting with the guests and was the best customer in the restaurant, which we've noticed many times before. Otherwise, everything was great when the guys were in the kitchen. The service was also excellent.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat during regular opening hours. Several employees were sitting in front of the entrance, some smoking and talking loudly. It was unclear whether the restaurant was open – only when we asked did we get a curt "yes." When we asked if we could sit in the beer garden, the answer was simply "no." We sat down in front of the restaurant, were the only customers – and were completely ignored. No menu, no welcome, no friendliness. Absolutely disappointing. Never again. Yes.

Totally overpriced. A 0.5 l beer costs €5.50. We live near Munich, but the beer and food aren't as expensive as in Zeitz. Zeitz is a cosmopolitan city, fully developed for tourism. And the food wasn't outstanding either.

A beautiful terrace and a creative asparagus menu – we really liked it. The food was generally decent, and the idea of ​​the asparagus burger was exciting. Unfortunately, the meat was very well cooked and the buns were quite plain. The service was friendly and attentive, but the kitchen was overwhelmed by our group. The dishes arrived significantly delayed, and the asparagus was limited despite advance reservations. The salad could also have been washed more thoroughly. Overall, a nice place with potential if the processes and details are better coordinated.

Hello everyone, the lady in service - great, cool guy - very pleasant. I had strips of venison with princess beans and hash browns. I didn't want hash browns but wanted mushrooms. The waitress responded coolly, the cook didn't. Well - service desert. To eat: the loin (5 strips) was well-done, slightly chewy and the beans were covered in butter or hollandaise. That's it. For 28 euros ?? Rather not. @Service. They were really good.

I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience at this eatery. The service was simply terrible: the staff was inattentive and seemed to have absolutely no interest in the guests. The behavior towards tourists who don't speak German was particularly unpleasant. Instead of helping and showing at least a little kindness, the staff clearly expressed their dissatisfaction, which gave the feeling that you were not welcome here. Such behavior makes staying in this restaurant extremely unpleasant. After a warming cup of coffee we actually wanted to have lunch, but after the unfriendly behavior of the staff we decided not to order lunch and just leave. I was expecting a much higher standard of service but was unfortunately disappointed. I doubt I'll ever come back and can't recommend this place. The owner of this restaurant should urgently review the behavior of his employees.

Not a cheap restaurant by Zeitz standards. But very tasty and considering the portion size, the price/performance ratio is also good.

Unfortunately my visit was disappointing. I wanted to sit down and eat something, but the waitress seemed overwhelmed and didn't offer me a seat. No friendly welcome and I didn't feel welcome. It's a shame because I expected more.

The 5 star service particularly refers to the new service with short hair! Some young waitresses can take a lesson from that! Since everyone is free to express their opinions, unfortunately there are also statements made that, in my opinion, are completely wrong and inappropriate. Unfortunately I didn't have any good impressions from here. It's actually a shame, maybe we had a bad day. No special service offered in the form of friendliness and no apology because of the not well made food. We were at the Wirtshaus zum Rössl on Wednesday. We actually like being here, but today we were served by a waitress who was new to us and had shorter, dark hair. The young girls always do a really great job, but we didn't feel very comfortable here, this woman was very cheeky and very loud unsympathetic. And when we talked to other guests about it, they just said it was always like that with her. All we can say is that if this woman is there, we will steer clear of the Rössl in the future and we are not the only ones who see it that way!!! If it weren't for this unfriendly person there would also be 5 stars

Went to the Wirtshaus Zum Rössl today for a very tasty burger with a side dish and a diesel perfectly accompanied by good music and very friendly service

We had, among other things, a salad. Since there were only two salads to choose from, we asked if a salad could be made using only vegetables. After some back and forth about the salad with feta, I said again that I only wanted one with vegetables, olives and the honey dressing, the Greek salad was again offered only without feta, which I then took. Although the feta was not included, which is probably the biggest part of the cost of this salad, €15 was collected, as with feta. Even if everything was fresh, I think it's unreasonable to charge €15 for a mountain of leaves, a few olives, a few pepperoni, not even a tomato, two slices of cucumber and a few pieces of half thin onion rings with honey mustard dressing.

Warum zum Teufel werden Schnitzel, nicht mehr auf die traditionelle Weise, zubereitet ??? Ich hatte ein Braumeisterschnitzel und war wieder mal enttäuscht, dass viele Restaurants sich nicht mehr die Mühe geben, ein Schnitzel zu braten, statt in die Fritteuse zu werfen. Auch der Rest auf meinem Teller und der anderen Besucher, war eigentlich nur aufgewärmte Tiefkühlkost . Schade, mit Kochen hatte das wirklich nichts zu tun.. Ich hoffe, dass das Restaurant in Zukunft mehr Sorgfalt bei der Zubereitung seiner Gerichte walten lässt, um die Gäste zufriedenzustellen."

Ein schöner Ort zum Verweilen, mit sehr schmackhaftem Essen

Ich war heute dort mit 4 Personen ohne Reservierung zu Abendessen. Wir wurden höflich empfangen und bekamen einen Tisch. Die Karte ist überschaubar. Das Ambiente hat uns angesprochen. Negativ zu erwähnen ist jedoch, die Batterie der Tischlampe war leer und der Spiegel hinter uns war nicht sauber. Geschmacklich war es ungewohnt aber nicht schlecht. Nichtgedallen hat uns der säuerliche Geschmack vom Bauernfrühstück. Positiv jedoch es wurde alles frisch zubereitet, kein tetrapack Ei.

Ganz Okay, ich mag die Getränke sehr. Sophia, Adriana, Finja und Amy machen gute Drinks.

Nettes, freundliches und unaufdringliches Personal. Kein Schickimicki, nicht "hipp" aber auch nicht langweilig. Haben dort nur im Biergarten etwas getrunken. War aber nicht zum ersten Mal da, aber ganz sicher auch nicht zum letzten Mal.

Wir waren mit einer 9köpfigen Gruppe dort Reservierung hat gut gekappt. Man hatte sogar innen und außen einen Tisch für uns. Der Service war aufmerksam. Die Zubereitung der Speisen dauerte eine Weile, die aber angemessen war. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt. Es war vielfältig und für den Preis sehr gut. Einige Komponenten waren zu kalt. Die WCs im Obergeschoss sind weder für Menschen mit Einschränkungen nicht erreichbar.

Heute leider nur 3 Sterne, wir hatten für 12 Uhr reserviert , Lokal öffnet 12 Uhr. Leider war nichts fertig vorbereitet und wir wurden gebeten ein paar Minuten zu warten. Tische und Bänke wurden erst nach Aufforderung gesäubert, danach lange Wartezeit bis Bestellung aufgegeben werden konnte und das bei 2 belegten Tischen. Essen war gut wie immer. Allerdings ist der Freisitz in die Jahre gekommen, kaputte Tische und Bänke , wirkt liederlich, schade.....

Waren heute mit 8 Personen zum Essen dort. Freundlicher Service und die Getränke kamen flott. Essen bestellt und auch nicht lange warten müssen. Im großen und ganzen alles Okay. Das Bauernfrühstück war wohl etwas trocken. Meine Schweinenackensteaks haben etwas wenig Farbe gehabt. Da sind sie wohl zu früh aus der Pfanne gesprungen 😃 Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Mindestens einmal pro Jahr besuchen wir das Wirtshaus zum Rössl bei einem Heimatbesuch in Zeitz. In diesem Jahr mit sechs Erwachsenen, einem Teenie und Hundewelpen. Sowohl Mensch als auch Tier wurden zuvorkommend behandelt. Für jeden Gaumen ist hier etwas zu finden. Das Essen wird zügig, warm serviert. Wir kommen immer wieder gern hierher. Wir danken dem Team um Herrn Obenauf für das tolle Mittagessen.

Leider mussten wir im Wirtshaus zum Rössl beim 2. Besuch eine Enttäuschung hinnehmen. Die Bedienung war wie bekannt, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jedoch bei den Speisen mussten wir Abzüge machen, das gesamte Essen wurde nur lauwarm serviert.
