Absolutely delicious! Amazing soups, summer rolls, even unique creations like nachos with salmon – everything was incredibly tasty 🤤 We had a lot of fun, were a bit louder than usual (because we were laughing a lot), but all the guests were very relaxed and we ended up having a fantastic evening and will definitely be back! I visited this restaurant this evening, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. My friend and I both ordered crispy duck, and the dishes arrived in under five minutes. Far too quickly for freshly prepared food. The duck’s color and aroma were off, and the taste was bad, like it was old or reheated. I couldn't eat it. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other tables occupied. The staff were polite but seemed uninterested, and they didn’t provide cutlery or soy sauce unless requested. When the waiter asked how the food was, we gave an honest answer. He said he would inform the kitchen, yet we still ended up paying €15 per dish. We had to pay in cash as they don’t accept cards, but they didn’t provide a receipt. This is concerning, especially since platforms like Google sometimes request proof of visit, and without a receipt, it can be difficult to verify. Do a favour to yourself and don't go there

Cash only, but that's not even mentioned in the Google ad. The trip was completely pointless.

Good food (ordered beef & pak Choi and dumpling variety platter) that was prepared in a timely manner. Friendly staff who went the extra mile to prepare a diesel beer.

I love this restaurant especially for lunch. They have very tasty vegan options and lots of other things as well. You can only pay cash though as in many other places in berlin.

I can't go to Berlin and not eat at the Flying Monkey. The food is always good, summer or winter. Excellent range of food on the menu and large portions. Great value.

Really bad food, dont believe the reviews. We ordered a noodle soup and it wasn’t far away from YumYum noodles. Very salty and bland, the dumplings were hard and everything else was overcooked and mushy.

Incredible food and friendly service. It is cash only! My only note is the duck was a little dry, but that's the risk you take ordering duck. The mango curry was so delicious, as was the fried chicken skin.

We made the reservation by phone without any problems. The place is very nice, we ate delicious food and tried several dishes. The prices were very reasonable for the area and the portions were well-sized. There are several vegan/vegetarian options as well. Everything was delicious! These days, it's rare to visit a place in a tourist area and leave as happy as we were. The young man who served us was always attentive and really friendly. We'll definitely be back soon! Note: Bring cash, as cards are not accepted.

We visited The Flying Monkey tonight, We were 4 people, and We ordered 2 stir-fried pho dishes with crispy fried duck, and 1 seafood noodle soup, The dishes were really delicious, the spices were very tasty, The staff were very cheerful and enthusiastic, I highly appreciate a staff at the bar, he was very cheerful and always smiled brightly when serving us, This is what was left after dinner 😋😋😋

An absolutely clean location. With very friendly service staff. Very accommodating. Even small changes to the menu are possible, and the food is also good value for money. There's absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of quality.

Nice location. Terrible food. Had mango rice and it was just pure sweet, no layers or anything in it. The fried chicken in it was dry and tasted straight out of fridge. Same with the chicken bites, it’s not fresh at all. My friend had beef rice, beef was dry like jerky. Super disappointed, I remembered it was nice 2 or 3 years ago, now everything just tasted so much worse and pre-made. We didn’t want to tip because the food was soooo bad, and the service was just standard ok. But one of the waiters had a sassy comment „the tip is not included in the bill :D“. So I eventually tipped. So actually in the end I would say it’s a pretty bad restaurant with very menacing attitude. This is not USA, we don’t HAVE to tip, and the food was genuine HORRIBLE…

I ordered a lunch menu curry to go, and they completely skimmed out on the portion. i ate here last week and the amount of chicken and vegetables were good. today when i got it there were only 3-4 pieces of chicken, barely any vegetables and NO salad but a ton of liquid curry… Very disappointed 😢

The food was truly delicious, the selection was extensive, and the prices fair—a very solid foundation for a good evening. Unfortunately, the positive impression was significantly dampened by the service, especially towards the end: We weren't acknowledged again during the meal; overall, there was a lack of proactive concern. We ended up paying the exact amount in cash, as it was the last of our cash (card payments are unfortunately not possible here, which is simply outdated these days). What was particularly unpleasant was that, immediately after paying, we were proactively asked for a tip. When we declined (as I said, with a card, things like that are more flexible ;)), we were told that it "wasn't included in the bill yet." Despite a friendly thank you and goodbye from us, the waiter reacted unfriendly. It's a shame; the food is worth coming back for more often, but under these circumstances, I wouldn't recommend it.

The service was just bad. The place was completely empty but we had to take the menu ourselves. We ordered one of our dishes with the sauces and vinaigrette on the side but it didn’t come in this way, after mentioning it we got it back but still with the vinaigrette and leftovers of the sauce. We also had to ask for cutlery because the waitress didn’t bring it and afterwards to go inside to ask for two plates (the place had only two more tables and it was super chill). We told to the waitress about the food again before paying and she replied literally nothing and charged us. The food is okay tho, maybe a bit too oily. But there are better places for sure near by.

Absolutely delicious! I had the crispy duck with rice and vegetables at Flying Monkey and it was honestly perfect. The duck was super crispy on the outside and tender inside, with really nice flavors that blended well with the veggies and rice. I also tried their Spezzi drink for the first time — refreshing and a bit different in the best way. Great vibe, friendly staff, and the food came out quickly. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!

Unfortunately, we didn't really feel welcomed. The food was so-so, not bad, but not a culinary experience either. There are better options on this street.

Great food- always fresh and flavorful. I enjoy coming here, but I find it frustrating that they don’t always give change when you pay in cash. For instance, if you pay €20 for a €16.70 bill, they’ll often keep the difference without asking. I believe tipping should be my choice, not theirs. Still, the quality of the food keeps me coming back.

- Rude Staff: The staff was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional throughout our visit. Their attitude made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. - Poor Food Quality: The duck was clearly not freshly prepared—it tasted as if it had been cooked the night before and was incredibly chewy. This was unacceptable for the price and reputation of the establishment. Despite returning our food due to these issues, we were still made to pay for it. There was no attempt to resolve the situation or offer any compensation.Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The combination of rude service, low-quality food, and unfair policies made for a thoroughly unpleasant visit. There are many better options—save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere.

We were there today...initially cash only, as we were told when we brought the menu...the service was very friendly. After complaining about the sweet potato fries, the plate was brought back to the table with the explanation...that's how they're made!!!...???? My husband found them on the bill...you should think twice about going there! The very friendly service, however, gets 5 stars from us.

Here you can find Asian tapas and main courses, as well as delicious drinks! There are also a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We sat outside in front of the restaurant, where only benches and tables are set up, so the atmosphere was fine. The food was delicious and the service friendly. The only downside is that you can only pay in cash! We had a table reservation, which is highly recommended during busy times.

I was just treated so rudely when I asked about the sauce that wasn't included. (She told me to go back and check.) I then went back because the dumpling dough wasn't cooked through. Her cheeky reply was that it had to be that way. I'm a restaurateur myself and I find this absolutely disgusting. I've never experienced anything like it before!!!

Super flexible. We made a spontaneous reservation at very short notice as a large group, which wasn't a problem. Even though there were so many of us, the food was ready very quickly and was absolutely delicious. The service and ambiance were also top-notch, just a bit too small for the space.
