The portions themselves are large and indulgent, but the hamburger could have been better

We had steaks which were very well prepared. The chicken wings were also great. The room was a bit drafty and fresh in mid-December. Unfortunately the stairs to the toilets are very poor and a dangerous tripping hazard. The first step from above is very flat and easy to miss and does not line up with the wall. When tripping over it, the table, which was in line with the stairs, also posed a potentially very dangerous accident risk for the head. The table there definitely has to go. The only question from the waitress was whether everything was OK, only to then quickly disappear into the kitchen, even though she was lying on the floor with her head banging on the edge of the table in front of her eyes.

Despite reservations, we were seated in front of the emergency exit. Tables and chairs are actually not permitted here for fire safety reasons. Emergency exits must always be kept clear. All for the extra dollar. Fits in with the completely conceited store. It was cold at -3 degrees outside and it was drafty. Since I didn't want to eat my overly expensive burger in the cold, we asked for another place. Even though the store was empty, that wasn't possible. Floppish service. This store won't see me anymore.

Amazing burgers, do not forget to try napalm sauce if you like hot.

We ordered two burgers to take away and were unfortunately very disappointed. Neither of us finished our burgers, which is a real shame for the money and the food. The meat is highly praised, but we found it to be very tough. The patties were way too thick and our burger was so high that it was impossible to eat properly. We also ordered medium raw and well done. Both patties were equally raw... But we found the "buns" the worst. These look like cheap English muffins from Kaufland. Unbelievable for a “good burger”.

If you like large but unseasoned burgers on soggy bread, this is the place for you. The service rarely comes along, but it is "cool", rough and only speaks English. All of this in a warm, greasy smell atmosphere with music that is way too loud and prices that are borderline. Overrated.

I was there on a Sunday night. I ordered burgers and I was very disappointed. The beef patty was ok (although nothing special), the onions were raw and the fries felt like they were leftovers from hours ago. Looked horrible, no form or anything like that, tasted like they were cooked 2 hours ago and left on heat. Also they were served with a lot of tiny crumbs. A bottle of 700ml of water costs 7 euros. A bit excessive. Chairs are uncomfortable too. Overall I think this place is overpriced and not worth it.

Great burgers, delicious fries and friendly staff.

Most likely it's the best hamburger place I've found in Berlin. And it's really good! Their fries are very nice, not the usual frozen industrial ones. I can also recommend their fried chicken fillet and cheesecake. Finally, if your wanna try their napalm hot sauce, do it at your own risk: it's really hot! (said by someone who loves hot food!)

Great chicken, beer & fries. And a heartbreakingly bland burger.

The food was good. Portions fill you up and are perfectly reasonable in terms of price/performance. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The ambience and music was good. Really has an American flair. It was very busy, which is why the drinks unfortunately took a while to arrive. But the nice and pretty service made up for it.

Good service. Solid food, but not exceptional. Very loud, but that's a matter of taste and individual. Gin and tonic 0.3 with lots of ice 11 euros is sporty. Water only in large bottles. In the Max Schmeling Hall you can get the same gin and tonic for 8.50 with a cup. So if you still want to go to the event, you should go there... Unfortunately the menu was only in English. Good for tourists. But why can't both be done? Equal for locals and tourists? Just like in almost all European countries! Too bad. We probably won't come back.

Well, it used to be the pioneer when it came to good burgers in Berlin and unfortunately it hasn't really developed further. The competition is now doing a lot of things better. It's still solid, but no longer blows your mind. What's really annoying is that the clothes smell like grease afterwards. The extractor hood could be better.

Great burgers, I love them all, and the napalm wings are good for a dare. A very relaxed old world kind of atmosphere, cheeky rude but not passive aggressive or overly moralizing. Beer selection is amazing, in all a great place to hang out with your buddies.

17€ is too much for a burger, even with a mountain of fries. The name “Napalm Wings” made me cringe and feel embarrassed, coming with Asian friends. We tried them and they were impossible to eat. Just fiery hot for crassness sake. Whole place is aggressively cis hetero. Staff is disinterested.

It was very cold inside, we were freezing. Plus the music was way too loud, we were there at lunchtime. The burgers are actually a disgrace for that price. Toastie instead of burger bun and a 5cm high, tasteless meatball on top, no burger sauce, you have to put salad on it yourself. The meat on medium well is very tough and burnt on the outside. Fries too salty and over. The service doesn't care one bit about whether you are satisfied and feel comfortable. You can't call it family-friendly either, there are no dishes for children or anything else child-friendly. We won't come again.

Nice employees, cool location. Unfortunately the burgers are not for me. The meat was 7-8cm thick and therefore still completely raw inside, even though I ordered medium-well. It's not what you hope for in a burger. Believe me. Look at pictures beforehand.

I like the place but not the Burgers 😶

My wife hated this place. Probably we wont come here again 1) Unsalty, not tasty huge burger that is very hard to eat 2) Loudy rock music 3) Writings on the wall are horrible. Being allergic to gluten isnt a choice that deserved a hate speec Only good thing was the fries, staff and the beer

Good athmosfere with good food. I bought a medium cooked double patty burger, the taste was what I expected, right on the point. Place deserves a try.

Wonderful little place with excellent food.

I thought the burger was okay, but I wasn't impressed with it. It was the burger with mushrooms for €21 including the fries. These were equally okay-ish. It's very nice that there's as much ketchup and mayo you want with it. You will definitely be full. I would also have appreciated a smaller portion to prevent food waste. Additional sauces cost extra (fair) Personally, I liked the atmosphere and found the service very friendly Also that there are no light/sugarfree/sweet potatoe fries hehe

I came here with a friend who lives in Berlin. I was craving a burger and suggested this place. When we finally went to order the food my friend ordered the bbq burger and I the Ghetto burger. After a wait they brought my friend’s burger and the fries with cheese we ordered, but not mine. I asked the server and she said she forgot to write it down. When I tried to reorder with her again, when I inquired about how long it was going to take since I was now waiting an hour. She replied I didn’t put it in. When I got upset, they acted like I was the person in the wrong and asked me to leave. I walked out. This place sucks. Do not go here. The way they treat the patrons is appalling. I eat in Michelin restaurants. This place should be boycotted and closed. How is it the customers fault, when the server doesn’t put the order in twice and they get rude with the patron. STAY AWAY, the are many other burger places in the area, give your money to them.

Very tasty food😋, it was really bomb. Tastes TOP😋😋. However, there are also negative points. We waited 30 minutes until we had our first drink👎. Would still come back just because of the good food. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Not again! We had dinner there yesterday with 10 people. The store wasn't full. Drinks came pretty quickly. The menu is 90% in English and is difficult to understand. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time (1 hour) for our food, even though the store wasn't full. During that time no one asked for drinks again. At some point we put the empty glasses on the neighboring table. Nobody was interested either. Only after one of us went to the bar was another order placed. Now about the food... some of the burger bread was burnt. Patties way too thick. Lots of fries on the plate and the side salad cut way too thick and carelessly arranged on the plate. Prices start at €16.50 and up, so you'd expect something different! Conclusion; From service to food, really only worth 1 star! It's a shame but we won't be coming back.

Burger Simply Amazing, cooked just at right time. I suggest to update to brioche bread. Maybe the place is little noisy but it's part of the experience

Unfortunately not a good rating because… The music was incredibly loud, the neighboring table also politely asked if it could be quieter, but this was not answered. Hardly possible to have a conversation while eating. Unfortunately, the burger was one of the worst we've eaten so far. The meat gristly and bland. The toasties aka buns... wtf 😳 what kind of bread is that? The card promises a lot, but it delivers absolutely nothing! Too bad.

Atmosphere and service was great!! 3 years ago the food was also great but now the food is atrocious, very greasy for barely any taste, I know it’s a burger but it doesn’t have to be that unnecessarily unhealthy!!

Never had as tasteless burger as this one. Though, the Fries were good. The stars go for the service and atmosphere not the food.

We had a club sandwich and a house burger, both with fries. I can't understand why the store is so hyped. Both were tasteless, unimaginative and dry. The very small fries were fried to death and completely over salted. Eating trash food is no fun. Far too expensive for that. We waited a long time to order or pay and we also waited forever for the food. We sat outside. But when I went to the toilet I was glad not to sit in it. Way too crowded. Much too narrow, much too loud. We won't be coming back. The Bird's glory days are probably over. Too bad.

Wow. Just wow. As an American living in Germany, I was sure that I would never, EVER find a good burger that would stand up to my snobbish American 🇺🇸 expectations… and then we met this kid who suggested we try The Bird. Go there… get ‘the Bird,’ and thank me later. Oh, and while you’re at it, have them top your fries with chili and cheese. Real chili… you may want to add a smidgen of Texas Pete if you wanna kick it up a bit, but overall, FIVE stars!

Great for group hangs! Servers are fun and speak English. The fries portions are a bit too big and flavourless. But the chicken strips and wings are delicious. The big pickle on the side is a nice touch as well. It keeps me coming back :)

I've been to The Bird many times and it's one of my favorite burgers in Berlin. The meat is always on point, the venue has a cozy atmosphere and the service is great. Maybe it's an impression but it seems like the prices are increasing while the burger is getting smaller, less fries and a big burger would be a better balance 😅 Would also like to point out the same as it was written by someone else. The restaurant recommends ordering your burger "medium rare" but the patty is really thick which means most of the core portions will be entirely rare meat, so if you like your burger cooked but pink on the inside, then medium is a better option.

We first came here about 15 years ago and have remembered it ever since so came back this time - it's a really great place. Really relaxed atmosphere, a great choice and really friendly knowledgable staff. The main event - the burgers - are amazing. The portions are massive, so order wisely.

very different from the "American Style Burger" you may have tried, actually it's the REAL American Burger! The meat tased AMAZING! very fresh, very tasteful A very wide range of options, the vegetarian menu is quite small. on a Friday night it was pretty crowded. if you don't like your burger to be pink inside choose medium well and well done. all the dishes have fries and cucumbers on the side.

It used to be awesome. The food is still there but the service is no longer. Had to wait more than 60 minutes. Our wings came after we finished with the burgers. Unfortunately, it has declined significantly.

I’ve been meaning to try this place, I had the ribeye with spinach and fries, my buddy has wings and a salad, it was pretty good. Not mind blowing but good. Great location, the restaurant itself is a nice place to hang out and go for dinner and the staff are nice. Having worked in restaurants for several years I don't like leaving bad reviews but felt compelled because this place broke my Canadian heart :((( The burger was super disappointing, especially for the price. Quality beef sure, but terribly undercooked and it comes on an eggs Benedict bun?!? And there's no sauces, other than the ketchup and mayo at the table... The shop wasn't particularly busy on Wednesday, but after a whopping 45 minutes a waitress sat down and took our order. Since I didn't want my burger on a muffin, I ordered it on a brioche for an additional charge. Another hour passed and after a total of 105 minutes the waitress came to our table for the second time to tell us that there was no more brioche! That went too far and unfortunately I had to leave! The burger should also cost €21. I was there for the first and last time!

Great location, near the park. It gets very busy when there are concerts in the area. While they can prepare gluten free dishes, those are not safe for celiacs, so can't speak about that.

A very large (250 g) and delicious hamburger, coming on a beautiful plate. It's definitely satisfying, but I can say that I've eaten more delicious burgers.

They make a big deal about cooking the burger to order, but my big glop of unseasoned beef was first served raw and then so well done I was pretty sure it belonged in a crematorium. Nothing made anyone in my party happy. Despite the reviews, I would write this off as a terrible restaurant.

We got recommendations so we decided to try it and indeed one of the best burgers we ate was worth it and the fries just like fries should be.

The best burger in Berlin. Huge choice of burgers, steaks etc. cooked as we asked with great toppings, crispy chips, salad what’s not to love. We went as a family on a trip advisor recommendation. The service was great, restaurant is basic but comfy, bar area with good vibes. So glad we went and would definitely return. Oh the napalm sauce was 🔥🔥. Well done team Bird.

This was the worst food experience I had in Berlin. The burgers were tasteless and dry. The good part of the meat was that there was a lot. The problem was it tasted really like nothing. Not salted or peppered it had not even an own meat taste…so really weird. Veggies were unwashed and weirdly cut.

We were there again after a very long time and we were not disappointed. The food came quickly and was tasty, although the fries were a bit too much and a bit small, but that didn't detract from the taste. The service was very friendly and quick, no one has to worry that you can only place your order in English, we were spoken to as normal in German. It wasn't that crowded either, we had a completely different experience. But maybe it was because there was a concert in the MSH that evening and the concert goers were already through. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I am disappointed. The service was very friendly and quick! There was nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. The fries were tasty, but far too small - as if they had leftovers. The price for simple fries is quite high, but the portion is excessively large. I would rather offer a smaller portion that you can manage. I ordered ranch for my fries at an additional cost and was quite surprised at how little it was. The Caesar salad was really small and the salad looked very sad. Unfortunately, the dressing just tasted like fish. My companion had a burger that was significantly better than my salad, but unfortunately it just didn't do justice to the price. The atmosphere is typically American. Music is excessively loud and you almost have to shout at each other. Unfortunately nothing for me.

The Bird lever på gammel hype, men er blevet alt alt for dyrt ift hvad der egentligt leveres. Vi bestilte 4 forskellige burgere, det gik ca. 45 min. 2 af dem var rå, altså helt rå! Kun lynstegt! Den ene bestilt som medium-Well den anden medium. De blev sendt retur, den ene medium Well kom efter 10 min og var nogenlunde stegt.. den anden, blev først forsøgt leveret til et andet bord af en temmelig ligeglad servitrice. Lidt efter kom den så til mig. Jeg kunne så konstatere det var den samme burger/tallerken og pommes nu var kedelige/kolde/slatne…. Jeg klagede igen, og her forventede jeg nok nogen havde taget affære… men da alle om mit bord er færdige kommer en ( måske den samme burger) ind igen… stadig lige så rå som før… og jeg spiser så kanten rundt og lader resten være. Pommes er sådan nogle gnallinger, fuldstændigt oliemættet, kun fordi jeg ikke håber det er sådan, men det ligner rester der har fået en tur eller to i fritten. Bare tanken adrrrr. Jeg slap for at betale min burger…. Men det er en ringe trøst når man er taget halvvejs gennem Berlin og iøvrigt tager derfra sulten… det er simpelthen ikke hvad det har været… og til den samme pris som i KBH ( som er dyrt nok) leveres der slet ikke. Kan ikke anbefales.

This is a MUST-GO in Berlin. With a staff that are both adorable and amazing with their foods and recommendations. The food is out of this world and the Atmosphere taken straight from a texas diner.

Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. But the food does not live to its hype. The hamburger was dry, the filet was good but no good sauce to it. Nice place to meet friends shot a Ducks fart. And have ok meal.

Delicious burgers and fries, the staff was quite inattentive, so we didn't order any more drinks. The shop is very loud, with 6 people at the table it wasn't really possible to have a conversation.

Premium burgers. Unfortunately the fries are getting worse and worse...

If you like burgers - and especially steaks - you will be more than satisfied here. But service is really sloppy. When we arrived the place was full. After 10 minutes a table but then another 15 minutes of waiting for service raises questions.... With three people, a main course and two drinks each cost 190 euros. There should be budget left for good staff in the business plan. Speaking of which: this CI-driven “everything in English” is a bit annoying. Or “it sucks”, as we well-traveled people like to say... 😎

We were in Berlin for the first time in 2021 and even then we went to The Bird through recommendations from friends. We were so excited back then that of course we wanted to eat burgers there again. And well, the expectation was fulfilled. This is simply the best burger we have ever eaten. I don't know how you can get the burger to be so great. Unfortunately we live 9 hours away by car, otherwise we would come back to eat burgers more often. I always tell my friend to please apply as an intern in the kitchen because I would like to know how to prepare the burger like that :D Recommendation is of course there and I will continue to recommend this burger shop to anyone who goes to Berlin! We ordered chicken wings, beer and fries. The fries and the sauce were excellent, but unfortunately the wings didn't quite suit our taste. The service was very friendly. Overall a good visit but with room for improvement with the wings.
