Mega playlist, I felt really good. The service and drinks were great. The burger was tasty, but the fries were rather weak. Music was definitely at its best.

I find burgers with toastie buns really poor, especially considering the prices. Drink prices are still OK. Service is friendly and quick.

Had very pleasant experience so far. Ordered chic strips, wings, fries and a salad. Quick service, food delicious, prices are equal to what you get. Friendly stuff. The atmosphere was very local.

I have been coming over 15 years now and were lucky to have eaten burgers all around the world. I am still happy that this place exists, since the burgers are simply the best. Of course, tastes are different - but from foodie to foodie - this place is legendary !!!

Its a cozy place but the burgers left me disappointed, after all you pay almost 20€ for a plate. The pattie was average at best, idk if its a thing but getting untoasted english muffin as buns also was a let down. Another let down, was that a lot of the fries were fingernaile sized, it seems like they scrapped off the last bits of a batch. All in all, this place is a bit too expensive for the food it serves

This isn't a hamburger. This is the best, simplest steak tartare you ever had, only it's shaped into a vaguely burger-like form and charred quickly to GBD (golden brown delicious) grade on all sides, while remaining raw in the middle. Served in a minimalistic bun with whatever topping you like. Heaven in mouth for all beef lovers. And the chips? I bet they fry them in lard. Rich, dark & crunchy. I have to spoil myself by going to The Bird every time I get to visit Berlin. Yeah, it's that good. Do make a reservation as it tends to get super crowded in the evenings.

It’s an old school pub atmosphere, I’m not so sure one can easily tell that it’s specifically a German pub but you are likely to feel very comfortable here in any case. The beer selection is nice and a bunch of American staples certainly fit the bill. It is, however, the burger that I loved every time when I came here. The meat is nice , perfectly juicy and beefy. The toppings are generous and mostly pleasurable. A ton of grilled onion on top certainly helps. So it’s soft yet within proper set of optimal taste and texture parameters. It also doesn’t leave you wanting another burger ever. Would I come here again? Absolutely

Unfriendly reception – no space despite the empty restaurant Unfortunately, our visit began with disappointment. Although several tables were available, we were told that “everything was reserved.” The employee showed no interest in finding a solution - we weren't even offered a seat at the bar counter, even though there were only two of us. The overall impression was as if guests didn't really matter here.

Too loud, eating took almost an hour, dirty, napkins on the floor, dirty cutlery. Music way too loud. The food is really poor quality and too expensive. I wonder where all the good reviews come from. Tourist shop and rip-off!

Really good burger! The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the burger patties were burnt black. The “Buns” are toasties from the supermarket. The sauces are weak in taste. The service is really good and friendly. The stairs down to the toilets are adventurous and there was no paper left.

Still the Best Burger I've ever eaten in my life since 2010. Of course I'm speaking here of the Da Birdhouse medium rare. Just perfect.

All the people who give bad reviews here have no idea.. complain about English.. yes, bad luck if you don't know English, it's Berlin here!! The burgers are original, but you weirdos don't even know what's original!! The shop is great, fries are exactly as they should be!! The staff is very friendly!! So I'd like to get one on the house!! I like to go there, whether it's to have a drink or get a burger... you can also choose other bread for the burger... well, if you don't speak English you should leave them behind anyway!! I know this place since 9 years! It’s not somewhere id go every weekend but it’s good for every once in a while meet up with friends over some good beer and burgers! Staff probably had a rough day there so I don’t want to be over judging the service but will either push down or bump up this rating next time depending on the service

I've been coming here for years. I love the vibe of this place and the people running it are nice and friendly. I wish they could speed up the service a little, but everything else is just perfect. Oh, and they have Leffe blond on tap and that alone is brilliant.

On a slow Monday evening, my friends and I had to wait almost an hour for our food. There were 2 other tables in the restaurant. Really disappointed by the waiting time.. The burgers come with an English muffin instead of a burger bun, which is quite odd and I think they should specify it on the menu. Fries were good. Wouldn’t recommend going there if you are looking for a good burger experience.

Nicely full shop on a Thursday at 6pm. Service was nice and accommodating. The napal wings were very spicy and tasty. Beers were available in different sizes, even up to measure and pitcher. Unfortunately, 0.5 on tap was quite expensive for Berlin. The wings also took 45 minutes to arrive, but it was also a full place. Overall, solid shop with very large beer sizes and very spicy wings. We had fun.

The last time I was here was about 10 years ago, I ordered the same thing as back then and wasn't disappointed 👌🏼

The truth is that it was wonderful. They took what is a typical burger eating experience to the next level, not only was I able to choose from a great variety of burgers and drinks, but I was able to choose the tenderness of the meat and a great variety of extras in general. If you like large but unseasoned burgers on soggy bread, this is the place for you. The service rarely comes by, but it is "cool", rough and only speaks English. All of this in a warm atmosphere with the smell of grease, music that is way too loud and prices that are borderline low. Overrated.

The cellar beer was good, although quite expensive at €7, but it was tasty. The food, on the other hand, was a joke, when I saw the toasties as a burger bun I thought OK, it only cost 20 € 😜. But the fries were anything but good either.

Unfortunately not recommended. We were there shortly after the store opened and received a rude welcome. No greeting, just a questioning look until my friend said that we would sit at a table for two. The unfriendly Kellern asked us if we had reserved, to which we said no, then he typed importantly on his tablet until we were allowed to sit down. Map in English only. The cellar who took our order was friendlier. Now to the food: a bland tasting, far too thick patti between a dry toastie. I've never eaten such a bad burger. No flavor, no delicious sauce, nothing. My friend had a turkey sandwich that I can easily make at home. Here too, cheap toast, carelessly arranged plates and bland, greasy fries. And all of this at utopian prices. Otherwise the shop was empty except for 4 or 5 tables. I have no idea why you have to show such an unfriendly attitude. We won't be coming back!

The best burger place in Berlin! Super delicious, real medium-rare (you can order different degrees of doneness) prepared meat with tasty fries. Friendly and funny staff who also speaks English. Pets are very welcome. I always have a great time there. What's not to like? Visited multiple times and will keep visiting.

It was terrible. Right at the beginning we were shouted at and then we weren't spoken to for another 5 minutes. When we finally got a nice table, we noticed the kitchen roll on the table. When ordering we were given nice advice and received one of the two stars for this. Then the first impudence. The Burgen comes with industrial toasties. The Toastie brand. I couldn't believe it. It's actually on the menu but I thought it was a kind of toastie and not the cheap things for the toaster (6 pieces for 99 cents) from the discount store. You can also see it in the photo I upload. You would have had to pay a few euros extra for a burger bun. The idea of ​​bringing the burger deconstructed and without any sauce to order with it is funny. Because the tomato, onion and lettuce leaf were lying individually, you could also see that we got 2/3 of the tomato lid. For at least 15 euros for the burger, I can at least expect a slice of tomato, right? The taste was okay. But you can't do that much wrong. The fries were small, greasy pieces, but that's probably intentional. Cutlery was already in the beer mug on the table when we arrived and was not refilled. We didn't have enough cutlery, only blunt knives that were also dirty. A look at the neighboring table revealed that there were five chicken wings on a huge plate with industrial ranch dressing and three chunks of carrot. The carrots weren't even cut into strips. This no longer has anything to do with an anti/edgi Berlin gastro, it's just a tourist rip-off

We had steaks which were very well prepared. The chicken wings were also great. The room was a bit drafty and fresh in mid-December. Unfortunately the stairs to the toilets are very poor and a dangerous tripping hazard. The first step from above is very flat and easy to miss and does not line up with the wall. When tripping over it, the table, which was in line with the stairs, also posed a potentially very dangerous accident risk for the head. The table there definitely has to go. The only question from the waitress was whether everything was OK, only to then quickly disappear into the kitchen, even though she was lying on the floor with her head banging on the edge of the table in front of her eyes.

Despite reservations, we were seated in front of the emergency exit. Tables and chairs are actually not permitted here for fire safety reasons. Emergency exits must always be kept clear. All for the extra dollar. Fits in with the completely conceited store. It was cold at -3 degrees outside and it was drafty. Since I didn't want to eat my overly expensive burger in the cold, we asked for another place. Even though the store was empty, that wasn't possible. Floppish service. This store won't see me anymore.

We ordered two burgers to take away and were unfortunately very disappointed. Neither of us finished our burgers, which is a real shame for the money and the food. The meat is highly praised, but we found it to be very tough. The patties were way too thick and our burger was so high that it was impossible to eat properly. We also ordered medium raw and well done. Both patties were equally raw... But we found the "buns" the worst. These look like cheap English muffins from Kaufland. Unbelievable for a “good burger”.

I was there on a Sunday night. I ordered burgers and I was very disappointed. The beef patty was ok (although nothing special), the onions were raw and the fries felt like they were leftovers from hours ago. Looked horrible, no form or anything like that, tasted like they were cooked 2 hours ago and left on heat. Also they were served with a lot of tiny crumbs. A bottle of 700ml of water costs 7 euros. A bit excessive. Chairs are uncomfortable too. Overall I think this place is overpriced and not worth it.

Most likely it's the best hamburger place I've found in Berlin. And it's really good! Their fries are very nice, not the usual frozen industrial ones. I can also recommend their fried chicken fillet and cheesecake. Finally, if your wanna try their napalm hot sauce, do it at your own risk: it's really hot! (said by someone who loves hot food!)

Great chicken, beer & fries. And a heartbreakingly bland burger.

The food was good. Portions fill you up and are perfectly reasonable in terms of price/performance. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The ambience and music was good. Really has an American flair. It was very busy, which is why the drinks unfortunately took a while to arrive. But the nice and pretty service made up for it.

Good service. Solid food, but not exceptional. Very loud, but that's a matter of taste and individual. Gin and tonic 0.3 with lots of ice 11 euros is sporty. Water only in large bottles. In the Max Schmeling Hall you can get the same gin and tonic for 8.50 with a cup. So if you still want to go to the event, you should go there... Unfortunately the menu was only in English. Good for tourists. But why can't both be done? Equal for locals and tourists? Just like in almost all European countries! Too bad. We probably won't come back.

Well, it used to be the pioneer when it came to good burgers in Berlin and unfortunately it hasn't really developed further. The competition is now doing a lot of things better. It's still solid, but no longer blows your mind. What's really annoying is that the clothes smell like grease afterwards. The extractor hood could be better.

Everything was great, my daughter and I had a wonderful meal before the match, thank you to the whole team, we will come again.

17€ is too much for a burger, even with a mountain of fries. The name “Napalm Wings” made me cringe and feel embarrassed, coming with Asian friends. We tried them and they were impossible to eat. Just fiery hot for crassness sake. Whole place is aggressively cis hetero. Staff is disinterested.

It was very cold inside, we were freezing. Plus the music was way too loud, we were there at lunchtime. The burgers are actually a disgrace for that price. Toastie instead of burger bun and a 5cm high, tasteless meatball on top, no burger sauce, you have to put salad on it yourself. The meat on medium well is very tough and burnt on the outside. Fries too salty and over. The service doesn't care one bit about whether you are satisfied and feel comfortable. You can't call it family-friendly either, there are no dishes for children or anything else child-friendly. We won't come again.

Nice employees, cool location. Unfortunately the burgers are not for me. The meat was 7-8cm thick and therefore still completely raw inside, even though I ordered medium-well. It's not what you hope for in a burger. Believe me. Look at pictures beforehand.

My wife hated this place. Probably we wont come here again 1) Unsalty, not tasty huge burger that is very hard to eat 2) Loudy rock music 3) Writings on the wall are horrible. Being allergic to gluten isnt a choice that deserved a hate speec Only good thing was the fries, staff and the beer

I thought the burger was okay, but I wasn't impressed with it. It was the burger with mushrooms for €21 including the fries. These were equally okay-ish. It's very nice that there's as much ketchup and mayo you want with it. You will definitely be full. I would also have appreciated a smaller portion to prevent food waste. Additional sauces cost extra (fair) Personally, I liked the atmosphere and found the service very friendly Also that there are no light/sugarfree/sweet potatoe fries hehe

Después de una espera trajeron la hamburguesa de mi amigo y las papas fritas con queso que pedimos, pero no las mías. Pregunté al servidor y dijo que se olvidó de escribirlo. Cuando intenté reordenar con ella otra vez, cuando pregunté sobre cuánto tiempo iba a tomar ya que ahora estaba esperando una hora. Ella respondió que yo no lo puse. Cuando me molesté, actuaron como si yo fuera la persona equivocada y me pidieron que me fuera. Me fui. Este lugar apesta. No vayas aquí. La forma en que tratan a los clientes es terrible. Como en restaurantes Michelin. Este lugar debe ser boicoteado y cerrado. ¿Cómo es culpa de los clientes, cuando el servidor no pone el pedido dos veces y se vuelven groseros con el cliente. ALEJARSE, los hay muchos otros lugares de hamburguesas en la zona, dar su dinero a ellos.

Not again! We had dinner there yesterday with 10 people. The store wasn't full. Drinks came pretty quickly. The menu is 90% in English and is difficult to understand. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time (1 hour) for our food, even though the store wasn't full. During that time no one asked for drinks again. At some point we put the empty glasses on the neighboring table. Nobody was interested either. Only after one of us went to the bar was another order placed. Now about the food... some of the burger bread was burnt. Patties way too thick. Lots of fries on the plate and the side salad cut way too thick and carelessly arranged on the plate. Prices start at €16.50 and up, so you'd expect something different! Conclusion; From service to food, really only worth 1 star! It's a shame but we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately not a good rating because… The music was incredibly loud, the neighboring table also politely asked if it could be quieter, but this was not answered. The toasties aka buns... wtf 😳 what kind of bread is that? The card promises a lot, but it delivers absolutely nothing! Too bad.

We had a club sandwich and a house burger, both with fries. I can't understand why the store is so hyped. Both were tasteless, unimaginative and dry. The very small fries were fried to death and completely over salted. Eating trash food is no fun. Far too expensive for that. We waited a long time to order or pay and we also waited forever for the food. We sat outside. But when I went to the toilet I was glad not to sit in it. Way too crowded. Much too narrow, much too loud. We won't be coming back. The Bird's glory days are probably over. Too bad.

Wow. Just wow. As an American living in Germany, I was sure that I would never, EVER find a good burger that would stand up to my snobbish American 🇺🇸 expectations… and then we met this kid who suggested we try The Bird. Go there… get ‘the Bird,’ and thank me later. Oh, and while you’re at it, have them top your fries with chili and cheese. Real chili… you may want to add a smidgen of Texas Pete if you wanna kick it up a bit, but overall, FIVE stars!

Great for group hangs! Servers are fun and speak English. The fries portions are a bit too big and flavourless. But the chicken strips and wings are delicious. The big pickle on the side is a nice touch as well. It keeps me coming back :)

I've been to The Bird many times and it's one of my favorite burgers in Berlin. The meat is always on point, the venue has a cozy atmosphere and the service is great. Maybe it's an impression but it seems like the prices are increasing while the burger is getting smaller, less fries and a big burger would be a better balance 😅 Would also like to point out the same as it was written by someone else. The restaurant recommends ordering your burger "medium rare" but the patty is really thick which means most of the core portions will be entirely rare meat, so if you like your burger cooked but pink on the inside, then medium is a better option.
