Today we spontaneously went to Cognito. We had no information about the store beforehand and were very surprised and extremely satisfied in the end. The price is a little higher, but everything is freshly prepared and fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff, food has to be picked up from the service via Piper. But everything slows down and offers relaxation. Here you can sit relaxed, eat and look outside through the shop window. ***Highly recommended***

Celiac disease recession: They have put a lot of effort into serving everything gluten-free and contamination-free. Unfortunately, I can't say whether it worked 100% because I have silent celiac disease, but I still felt very safe there. :)

Card payment only! No food for cash. One star for the location. It looks nice. Dear operators, please place a sign right at the entrance, not at the checkout, stating that you will not receive anything for cash (still an official means of payment).

Ambience is ok, that's what made us eat here, but service very rude and uninspired with customers (very inspired by each other). We had 4 different dishes, apart from the burger the other three were completely drowned in sauce so that the actual dish didn't come into its own. We read the other reviews too late. Unfortunately it wasn't worth a try.

Small but very good selection of food and drinks, whether hot or cold. The prices are okay, only card payment possible. Ordering was quick, you have to pick up the food yourself with Pieper. This is a great place to have breakfast together.

If everyone worked like you two did at the time mentioned above, we would all have a lot less stress.

The location is perfect. It's cozy. The food tastes good, but not exceptional. The drinks prices are adapted to the ambience. I love having breakfast there.

We had Rice to meet u for the children, which is declared as a children's dish but is still very heavily seasoned with pepper.

Centrally located in the old town of Erfurt. The breakfast selection is good and there is something for everyone. The quality was very good. Breakfast must be ordered at the counter. For us, the overall experience was a great start to a very nice day.

An absolutely outstanding restaurant with very good value for money. I've always really enjoyed going here. I can only pay by card. For me this is the beginning of fascist structures (please deal with fascism). If this doesn't change, I will never enter this shop again.

I wanted to eat there with the Schlemmerblock. The coupon says “2 entrees for the price of 1”. So we ordered 2 burgers and a side dish, chips. We were then deducted the €3 chips instead of a main course. Even after asking, it was confirmed to me: yes, exactly, a measly bowl of chips should be a main course. But that's not how the gourmet block works! I then said that I didn't want any chips. They then wanted to refund me the amount that I was actually still entitled to (at least €13.50) via bank transfer. Apparently I'm waiting in vain for this. I find the service extremely questionable and wouldn't go there again. Half of the toppings on a burger were also forgotten.

The climate and location save... I understand everyone has their first day at work, but how can you confuse fresh juice with a winter drink. At 32 degrees. Slow and distracted service, menu offerings average local restaurants but with excessively high prices

Absolutely overpriced fast food in complete self-service (e.g. €4.69 for a 0.33l juice spritzer that you can open yourself). Tastes good (burgers, Thai curry), unfortunately burgers have no side dishes despite the high price, large portions are more like small-medium in comparison. All tables were terribly sticky (were consistently wiped one after the other with just one rag). Note: no cash payment possible!

Tip for a better restaurant see below, because unfortunately the food was again a disappointment. The pasta was tasteless, the bowl (crispy cheese) was very bad, the sauce with the rice tasted like Knorr ready-made sauce. Unfortunately the price is not justified either. My tip: The Italian at the fish market (Fellini) impresses with its taste and the staff is simply great. The location there is just as nice as at Cognito, maybe even a little better. Conclusion: KEEP AWAY from Restaurant Cognito

If you can afford to shell out €6 for a miserable latte macchiato (0.33) and another €12.99 for a disappointing panino, you should definitely come here. You can also pick up your own food, as a third waiter seems to be too expensive for this shop. It's a shame that profit intentions are in stark contrast to good service and quality.

The atmosphere directly at the Krämerbrücke is of course beautiful, tourists stroll, it is surprisingly quiet, the parasols provide shade. We ate breakfast. The prices are rather high, around 15 euros for the small French breakfast with jam and a drink. There is no service, you order inside, get a beeper and pick everything up 20 minutes later. It's not a big deal that there are only cashless payment methods; I'm slowly getting used to it. The quality is ok, but nothing more, there is a light baquette, the granola muesli consists mainly of sugar, it's not really organic. Tomorrow we'd rather have breakfast at the hotel...

Hello dear potential guests, we were here in Cognito for a holiday breakfast today. First of all: absolutely disappointing! I can still understand that a self-service concept is being pursued due to a lack of staff, but the fact that the staff behind the counter is still in bed with their thoughts and feels rather bothered by the guests is absolute at a price of just under €50 for two moderately opulent breakfasts unacceptable. It's a shame, because the dishes actually have the potential for at least 4 star ratings. There’s really still room for improvement….

The food was delicious and there was a good selection. Everything was ready quickly, but it is absolutely overpriced. In particular, the pasta, which a six-year-old child could prepare, was far too small, expensive and cold.

I was here for a quick lunch break. The food was prepared quickly and it was very fresh and aromatic. I had the bowl with grilled cheese. The cheese was super crispy, which I thought was great. I also found the beetroot chutney very tasty. You can relax outside and enjoy the view of the Krämerbrücke while eating

Recently Cognito appears to be a club, although I couldn't find the dance floor. I left half the coffee and fled before my ears completely blew off.

Food as always very good. There is something to complain about today. The tables should be wiped down several times. And the toilets also need a refresh. Otherwise they are clean.

Curries and soup was good. Unfortunately only card payment, you have to refuse if you are forced to do so, we noticed too late otherwise we wouldn't have come in.

Passing by a restaurant, I couldn’t understand why the reviews were so low. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious, especially the salad that came with the burger combo, which was a healthy choice.

Although the menu generally made a good impression, the food was a disappointment. We each had a bowl. Overall, it wasn't enough for the price, the chicken was pale and the falafel seemed to have been fried several times, so it was already rock hard. For a lentil bowl there were surprisingly few lentils in the bowl and in the other bowl one of the listed ingredients was completely missing. The prices are simply too high for a self-service shop. Cash payment was not possible. There are certainly better alternatives in Erfurt.

I've been there several times and it's always loud. I guess the acoustics aren't ideal, but they always turn the music up too high. The food is ok, just a little expensive.

The restaurant is very loud. Not from the visitors, but from the staff. Things are constantly falling loudly on the floor or the mixer/crusher is turned on and is extremely loud. I think self-service is okay. Prices are far too high for the drinks, e.g. juice made from beetroot, orange and banana for €8.90, 150ml. Lemonade from the bottle €4. The food tastes really bad. It doesn't taste good, it's not spicy at all, even though I had something with curry and the jasmine fragrant rice doesn't have the intense flavor that you're used to. So I don't recommend it there even if it's directly on the Krämerbrücke.

Very nice café right on the Krämerbrücke. Everything was extremely tasty. We will be back definitely.

Everything is made fresh here! We ate a tomato-coconut soup with bread. It was really refreshing and also filling. The bread is fluffy and goes perfectly with it. Staff was nice and attentive. Ambience pleasant Prices are higher, but as I said, everything is fresh.

Good food and relaxed atmosphere!

Good atmosphere, family friendly, otherwise the worst meal for me in a long time. The falafel balls were as hard as the coconuts behind the glass counter, some of the rice was so soft that you could make noodles out of it, but some of it was so dried that it could have come from days ago. Luckily you couldn't go wrong with the freshly cut vegetables. The taste of both the bowl and the panini is almost non-existent. You couldn't finish the bowl. 30€ free.

An orange juice for €8 and a coffee for just under €5 is pretty decent for a self-service restaurant. Just under €30 for breakfast... Tables are sticky and stained, the toilets could also use some cleaning. The man downstairs serves you with a shake of his head. Being friendly is different. Food was ok, you're just getting full and I'm female and slim. Cash is not an option either, only card. All in all, we won't be coming back.

We were very disappointed for what we got. It was a simple roll with the said topping. For the price we weren't impressed with the food. But it was very nice to sit.

Staff very nice, but completely overpriced. I got a single burger (the chicken burger and added cheese) and paid 13.99 euros! The burger tasted okay, but you can find much tastier and still cheaper counterparts in Erfurt.

The Cognito has a pleasant atmosphere and therefore feels very inviting. At first glance, there is a large selection of drinks and food on offer. Unfortunately the quality of the dishes doesn't deliver! We had two latte macchiatos, which could also be made with milk alternatives at no additional charge. However, the coffee is served warm, which is a real shame. We had a panini and a burrito, both were extremely bland... The panini didn't taste like anything and was very dry! The buritto was okay, but nothing special. The tomato and avocado pieces were cut way too big. The food was not at all satisfactory... And Cognito's staff isn't convincing at all either, the service is a disaster, we waited forever for our food. Furthermore, none of the employees were friendly towards the customers! Our conclusion is: unfortunately, due to the overall quality of the food and the unfriendly atmosphere of the staff, this was the first and also the last visit to Cognito for us!

I was at Cognito with my child today. This used to be a really good address. Today I was really disappointed. Unfortunately the food was inedible. The ingredients were convenient and looked as good as they tasted. The restaurant overall seemed unkempt, the table was dirty. It's a real shame, because the high prices for the food should allow for quality. Absolutely not recommended.

A long time ago, Cognito was once a good place for balanced nutrition and a delicious selection of dishes. Unfortunately, this has decreased significantly over the years! Cake as always and the menu has been slightly revised. There are a lot of temporary workers and you can tell that they are pretty overloaded. Cleanliness? An absolute disaster! In the dining area there are cobwebs everywhere on the ceiling...no employee cleans the tables, let alone the toilets...dust and dirt in every corner...there should actually be money given the number of customers...but the problem has existed for some time. We used to like going there...now you ask yourself what it looks like behind the bar etc.?! A visit from hygiene probably wouldn't be really positive...sad but true!

It's actually a very tasty shop with a fancy menu and a relaxed atmosphere, but the fact that you can't pay with cash and there's no way to tip electronically means I can only give it one star. I would have liked to come back more often, but only if I could pay in cash again.

Don't go to this store! The owner or superior employee/waiter is a rude, unfriendly, unhelpful being and is one of the N***s due to his behavior and his statements. If you want to order and are standing in the "wrong" place on the counter due to the confusing layout of the store, the "waiter" will yell at you: Please stand at the checkout! I went straight back. If you value polite interaction, avoid this store at all costs. Also, no sane person wants to support Fa****s.

Kuchen schmeckt, Kaffee ist sehr traurig. Service braucht lange für einfache Bestellungen und die Tabletts sind gerne mal nicht ganz sauber. Das Ambiente ist der einzige Grund sich hier gerne aufzuhalten.

Ok guys... That's not a burrito! Seriously it's NOT A BURRITTO! I got a deluxe chicken bla bla burrito and It was a mistake, the whole thing was a mistake! The "burrito" was filled with more than 50% over cooked bland rice, a weird sauce inside, tasteless beans.... A bad experience overall. You should be ashamed of yourselves for what you offer compared to the prices. And stop calling that abomination a Burrito, seriously just stop it!

Way too expensive for what you get. Prices for juices, coffee and tea don't make any sense. And you're not even served at the table. Paid 45 euros for breakfast for two. Better go to one of many bakeries in town.

Was man hier bekommt ist schmackhaftes Essen, jedoch zu völlig überteuerten Preisen. Ein Panini für 14 Euro, wow. Das muss man sich leider verkneifen und andere Lokale wählen.

Wir waren mit 2 Familien dort. Sehr eng. Durch 2 Veganer wählten wir Tomatencurry aus. Sehr geschmackslos. Mir war hinterher übel. Allgemein hat die Qualität des Essens im Cognito von Jahr zu Jahr angenommen. Plus: freundliches Personal welches uns heißes Wasser für den Babybrei zur Verfügung stellte. Gesamt: der Bio-Chic-Eindruck täuscht! Hier gibt es KEIN Bio Essen. Nicht empfehlenswert, da fades Essen!

Wir haben 45 Minuten auf das (lauwarme) Essen gewartet. Portionen leider viel zu klein. Schade, Lage des Ladens ist super, aber Preis-Service-Leistung ist mies.

Ewig gewartet, dann war die Bestellung weg. Nach nochmaliger Nachfrage wurde unsere Bestellung dann endlich bearbeitet. Burger war labbrig.. Alles sehr lieblos.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant es ist nur nervig das man nicht mit Bargeldzahlen kann und dies vor dem Essen. Außerdem macht das Essen nich wirklich satt ich habe drei Gerichte gegessen und überlege trotz allem noch zum Döner um die Ecke zu gehen
