TequilaRia Bochum in Bochum

We ordered through Liefranco and I would have liked to rate it through this portal, but this option was taken away from me, but more on that in a moment! As I said, we ordered several dishes, the waiting time for the quantity and the distance was, in my opinion, completely OK. I thought to myself that if they offer delivery from 14 km, they have a way of transporting the food accordingly so that it is also edible was arriving. The delivery arrived and then the misery began! The driver handed me one of the two paper bags with the food and at that moment the bottom of the bag tore and the food was scattered on the paving stones in front of my front door! The driver's first reaction was "not my fault!" the second was "You can still eat that!" You can still eat that 🤔, sure!!! The individual packages burst open, guacamole, potatoes and chicken with mole from paving stones scratch and enjoy your meal! Not a word of apology! So I got on the phone and called the restaurant. There was an employee who at least apologized, I was offered a subsequent delivery, but it should take at least 1.5 hours. “There are still 3 orders in front of me, which are just next in line”. Flexibility is zero!!! So we agreed that I would cut the paving stone dishes out of the bill. My son then made himself a frozen pizza, which I unfortunately had to envy. The dishes we were left with were anything but edible, the meat had died twice (dry wasn't even a word for it!), and it was as cold as the potato! The churros were fried for so long that I could crumble them with my fingers. The only good thing was the Nachos Tappas, but there isn't much to it, they are bought with it. Unfortunately, I can't rate the rest of the food because I unexpectedly didn't follow the driver's suggestion! Then I now come to the opportunity that was taken away from me to rate Lieferando. I received an email from Lieferando saying that the restaurant had canceled the reservation and that no more food would be delivered and Lieferando would like to apologize to me for this with a €7.50 voucher. Aha, no food is coming. Could I have just imagined the gray palate!? No, the way it goes is trying to save the commission to Lieferando!? In addition, canceled orders cannot be evaluated, two birds with one stone!? Because of this, I reported the process to Lieferando. I don't really believe that this will be of any use, but the whole behavior of the restaurant made me think so! If the staff had behaved differently, e.g. the driver comes back and in that time we have remade the dishes and then the delivery is immediate and you don't have to wait again because there are three more in line before you. Where there is a will there is a way! Things can go wrong, but then you have to have the professional stature and be able to deal with it in order to satisfy the paying guest. The food in the restaurant isn't exactly cheap either. I usually give everyone a second chance in this case too, but the whole process annoyed me so much that I'm not willing to do it here at first.

We spontaneously stopped by for tacos on a Wednesday evening and were really pleasantly surprised! The birria tacos were super tasty, the meat was juicy and the sauce tasted really good. The four tacos were served with rice, salad and guacamole. Overall, just a pleasure! We didn't wait particularly long, but a little longer than usual. For dessert we had the churros and bunuélos (sweet fried wheat tortilla), without the chocolate sauce it really would have been a 10/10. I don't think the chocolate sauce is that good, but it's definitely a great topping for chocolate lovers. We waited a relatively long time for dessert, but we personally didn't think it was a big deal. The staff was very friendly and had answers to all of my questions!! Overall, we were more than satisfied and plan to eat here more often in the future. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a photo of the dessert, but there is a picture of the empty plate, which just shows that it was tasty :)

The food was very tasty, the waiters were super friendly and took the time to advise “beginners” about Mexican food and were also very attentive. The ambience is rather rustic and could use a more modern update.

We have a gourmet block where a 20% discount (when picked up!) is granted. When we went to order and pick up something today, they claimed there was no discount. If you don't want to grant the discount, you shouldn't show it... so we won't order here today...

When ordering, a delivery time of 15-25 minutes was stated. It was delivered after 94 minutes!!! I ordered 2 dishes. 1 was just completely missing and the other was completely cold. Never this juice shop again.

Despite some negative reviews on Taco Tuesday, we decided to visit Tequilaria and we're so glad we didn't let them stop us! We managed ten tacos in just under 1.5 hours and, as good eaters, we were stuffed. The tacos were always hot, tasty and well filled! We would definitely recommend it, especially since the price is really unbeatable ☺️

We had a delicious meal. The chocolate cake and fried ice cream were pure sin. Thank you very much, we would love to come back.

Let's start with the positive: The food is really, really tasty (and plentiful!). And now the negative: - unfortunately far too few staff (1 bartender, 1 waitress) for the really small shop to be able to serve the 40-50 guests fairly accurately on a Saturday evening in mid-September. - As a result, orders took up to 1 1/2 hours - unreasonable. - Despite prior reservations for 20 people, there were no table(s) available at the agreed time - it stayed that way for an hour. So everyone's previously good mood gradually faded into frustration. Sure - we could have just left, but it's not that easy with alternatives so spontaneously with a larger group...

Rarely eaten such good and authentic Mexican food outside of Mexico. Full marks! I'm thrilled 🫶

Was there for the first time. The design of the restaurant is really beautiful and loving with lots of Mexican accents. You feel comfortable and you have the feeling that you are traveling in Mexico. My criticism was that although various dishes with chili peppers were marked as hot or hotter in the menu, the heat or spices were missing on the nachos, as was the case with my pulled pork. However, it would also be advisable to put at least 3 standard dishes for smaller children on the menu. Apart from fried potatoes, my seven-year-old daughter had no choice.

This was unexpected. We were almost not able to have this experience because there are no parking options and there is a lot of construction in the area. Besides that, the food was very, very good. The Birria Tacos were amazing, and drinks were good as well. If you visit this spot, there is an outdoor space, but it is very good if you are not a fan of cigarette smoke. But hey, it's Germany! The service was very personal and prompt. A+ for speaking English. 🙃 It's a very good spot!

An insult to Mexican cuisine and the discerning guest. Drinks and guac were conveniently forgotten by the lackadaisical staff. The food lacked any kind of spice, the still water was sparkling, and even salt was hard to come by. Nie mehr.

We were really very satisfied! Great Mexican food, quality, appearance and taste are top! Very friendly and fast service. Every single dish is very easy to read and therefore the decision is really difficult in a positive sense. The meal made you feel like you were in Mexico again, very authentic. Very good and comfortable sitting in the beer garden behind the restaurant. We'll definitely be back, ideally for all you csn eat, where you can try out all the great creations.

We went to TacoTuesday yesterday. We were there for a total of 2:40 hours and got 10 tacos each. The waiting time was far too long, we had to wait 40 minutes per taco order (afterwards there were only 2 per order). The service seemed overwhelmed and we had the feeling of being forgotten. The food was very tasty, but some of the tacos were barely filled. When billing it was 20 euros too much, upon closer inspection the all-you-can-eat was debited 4 times instead of 2. Conclusion: We wouldn't eat here again, even though the cocktails and tacos were very tasty.

I really enjoy going to the Tequila ria often. For me it is one of the few places in Bochum where you can eat and drink at good prices. :) plus the staff is always nice.

We went to Taco All You Can Eat based on a recommendation from a TikTok video. Unfortunately we were very disappointed, all the tacos tasted sour and some were cold. In general, unfortunately, the whole thing had nothing to do with Mexican tacos. The rice as a side dish was sometimes hard! The beer garden area was uncomfortable. The only positive thing was the nice service! Unfortunately I can't recommend it at all!

A really nice restaurant in itself, but the all you can eat taco Tuesday is a joke. We waited a total of over 1 hour for 2 aftertastes and the tacos with an extra charge were also outrageously small.

Very tasty food, definitely recommended. We were there on Burrito Thursday and the burritos were delicious.

The service was good and attentive, but unfortunately it couldn't handle the average dishes. We had Tostada Tinga and Torta Pastor as starters then Yucatecan Citrus Soup and Sopa Azteca. Unfortunately the tostada was very salty, the torta was ok. For Sopa Azteca, the same basic broth was used as for citrus soup, which is why it is very sour, and in a typical Mexican way, the ingredients arrive at the table already attached and not like in Mexico the cheese, the avocado and the tortilla strips and extra onions, which makes the whole thing very mushy . Then we had the “Al Pastor Tacos” and the Chilango Style Burrito which, together with the torta, were the “highlight” of the dinner, as the tacos were again very salty and had no trace of fresh pineapple or pico de gallo. For us who lived in Mexico for years it was a culinary disappointment.

Tacos! We were here on Tuesday. Arrived at 6 p.m. and the store was still pretty empty. Nevertheless, we had to wait a long time for service. Someone came to our request. Drinks were brought to the table quite quickly afterwards. Our all-u-can-eat tacos took a while. In the first round we were only given the normal ones without any additional payment. They were still OK. With minced meat. The tortilla tasted spicy but quite dry, and the one with pulled chicken was nice and juicy. After we asked the waitress to come back to us, we were allowed to order the next round. This time a few better ones at an additional cost. Unfortunately they were cold for me, but others at the table got lukewarm ones. The pulled pork and one with feta cheese tasted okay. We sat there, had a nice chat and observed the place. It slowly became more crowded. At our request, we ordered another round, again mixed from all the different varieties that were available. It took forever for the little tortillas to arrive. And you could see more and more that those included simply had little to no filling... The last round was finally warm. Many of them were burnt. We then paid at the cash register. Totally unstructured. You should write down yourself, ideally what you have to pay extra. When we were outside talking about the cost each paid. Did 2 out of 6 people speak Spanish about what they paid? At home, take a moment to compare the card with what was paid. Unfortunately, something was really wrong. But we were already gone. Conclusion: Taste OK Portions, well Quality, well Quantity not really Service was nice but not that motivated Ambience was completely OK

I’ve ordered enchelada with beef, bacon and mushrooms. Beef was very small, I felt mostly the taste of mushroom. But the service and atmosphere is good. Also I recommend the mexican beer “”Dos Equis(XX)”. The smoothest beer I’ve ever drunk.

Ordered there today for delivery. I'm honestly horrified! The packaging is dirty and therefore unappetizing. The burger bun is extremely hard. And the patatas bravas cold! Did you have a bad day today? Because about 4 weeks ago I had dinner at your place and everything was great. Unfortunately, my worst experience so far when it comes to ordering food! By the way, there's something wrong with the salad or dressing. In terms of taste, I'd say the dressing is bad! Furthermore, when I asked about the order on the phone, they were annoyed and unfriendly. I actually didn't want to review it publicly, but after they stopped answering the phone (on the second call), I see no other option and feel dismissed! It's a shame ☹️

We wanted to have a little something delivered at lunchtime. After waiting for over an hour, I called the restaurant, where they explained to me in a friendly but uncertain manner that my food had been on its way to me for more than 10 minutes. (The journey from there to me is about 10 minutes). After another 20 minutes I called again because I was confirmed online that my food was there but it still hadn't arrived. The driver came during the call. I just quickly checked the temperature under the packs to see if it was still warm (warm, definitely not hot), but still handed the money to the friendly driver and said a friendly goodbye on the phone. As we longingly unpacked our food, pure horror awaited us. Everything was burned, mixed up and not put together correctly. For my little daughter I ordered potatoes and a baked burrito with hands. The pulled chicken (which for me is not grilled) was so spicy that I couldn't eat it either and the potatoes tasted very old and like they had been warmed up. It's a shame about the food that all ended up in the trash and it's even more a shame about the almost €70 I had to pay for it And we still remained hungry.

Ordered for the first and last time! Delivery times over 2 hours! Some of the food was burnt and not what was ordered! Dry rice and salad! That's an order for the barrel! This is the worst thing I've wanted to eat in a long time! How can you fool your customers like that?

We ordered for delivery. The tacos and rice were delicious and everything was fresh. Only the tacos al pastor were a bit disappointing, as there was no avocado and no pico de gallo, even though it says so on the menu. Super fast and friendly delivery! We will definitely order there again.

Great food, very tasty, but small portions. €13.90 for 3 small tacos, 2 spoons of rice and a little salad. The "all you can eat" on Tuesdays is not a good concept. You get 4 tacos and can then always order 2 more. Only the simple ones with flour tortillas are free of charge, all others cost €1.50 extra per piece (despite all you can eat). The waiting times were very, very long, so hunger goes away in the meantime. 35min for 2 espressos... The outside area is very nice and cozy.

The boss has just refused us any expensive dishes with our Schlemmerblock voucher book. Absolute disgrace! I will inform the organization about this

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We had a platter for 2 people, which had a lot of variety. So we ate a lot of different dishes and they were all delicious. Unfortunately the selection of Mexican beer was relatively limited.

We visited this place after purchasing a mobile voucher, two cocktails for the price of one. Very attractive rooms and beer garden, very nice service. After asking the owner, the voucher for non-alcoholic cocktails was not accepted, but this was not advertised. We would have also ordered a more expensive, alcoholic cocktail, asking simply not to add the alcohol, but this was not accepted either. It's a shame, that should be spelled out more clearly. Therefore, we left the place without eating anything and gave away the voucher we had purchased.

We shouldn't have gone to the beer garden. The waiter didn't clean the table. It was still stuck. A lot of plants outside are dead and rotting in their pots. Wir haben etwas bestellt. Das es auf einen Feiertag länger dauert ist ja die eine Sache. Aber das dass Essen am Boden des Karton klebt, nicht zu identifizieren ,komplett kalt und dass für 40 Euro , war mehr als enttäuschend. Wenn man vor Ort isst , ist es gut aber zum Bestellen nicht geeignet.

We were there on Taco Tuesday. Here and there you can improve little things like the time it takes to reorder or the quality of each individual taco, but considering the price (€9.90!!) and the fact that every customer in the restaurant ordered the tacos, you simply have to praise the shop they're really good too. Because of the price-performance ratio, the restaurant deserves the 5 stars!

The Tequilaria is top, can only recommend it to everyone!!! Lots of choice of food and drinks and a great South American atmosphere. Drove an extra 50km and would be happy to do it again at any time!

We went to TequilaRia for dinner on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. We were very satisfied. The food was SUPER delicious!!!, the service was nice and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. I didn't think there was such a great restaurant in Bochum. Admittedly, you can't find it when you "walk past" (it's a bit out of the way). But you should make the effort to take the short route. Small criticism: We sat outside in the beer garden. Here you could Maybe a little more "organization" (looked a little chaotic) - but it didn't bother us in the least. Another info: It's close to the Christ Church, so who want to have a good meal before the concert.

The Almans' complaint culture is really horrible. The restaurant is very authentically decorated, the staff is very nice and accommodating, and the food and drinks are delicious. Before you let out your digital frustration again and again and cause possible damage in reality, you should be brave enough to clarify this directly on site. I'm pretty sure the issue can be resolved immediately. Clear recommendation from me! The complaining uncles and aunts should calm down. 5 stars :)

The absolute worst Mexican restaurant I have been to in my life. 15,99€ for a "huitlacoche" enchilada which was just regular mushrooms. Enchiladas should be in a sauce. These were hard, dry, and flavorless. It was served with a small and extremely dry serving of tasteless rice and boring lettuce. The chilaquiles were just nachos. The Paloma was not a Paloma. Clearly no one here has ever had Mexican food before. The waitress and waiter managed to get my drink order wrong twice after originally forgetting my drink. There was no apology. She just said I could get something different next time. Our waitress also left for the day without saying anything. They have a Brugal rum (Dominican Republic) sign on the wall, but do not sell it. False advertising in general, horrible food, and bad service. Absolutely not worth the money. I will never be back and don't recommend.

My wife and I just ordered 2 dishes with rice as a side dish via Lieferando. Our rice was so hard that it was inedible and we paid 30 euros for both dishes. It was so hard that the rice that fell from the spoon onto the plate bounced back and forth as if it had barely been cooked. very disappointed. The main thing is always quick and then the quality suffers!!!

A small, cozy shop where you immediately feel at home. The food and drink selection is huge. There were seven of us there and yet both the starter and the main course came within 15 minutes. The food was super tasty, it could just use a little more spice here and there. We will definitely be back and can only be recommended!

A really great shop, with a really, really cool cocktail selection, everyone will find what they're looking for here, from classics to really bizarre drinks (perfect for a JGA 😜). It's been a long time since I've had such good cocktails. This was one of my JGA stops and also my favorite stop. The food was also super tasty. And the music wasn't excessively loud (i.e. you could have a great conversation). My recommendation: Go there :)!!

Delivery was really quick, but the burritos arrived home pressed. Unfortunately they were very muddy. I would recommend burritos more locally. The salad that came with it didn't look very good either. The cucumbers have seen better days.

I can only report on the food delivered. Unfortunately, that was a disaster. I don't know how it works, but nachos were completely burnt - pitch black. The rest like the tacos were incredibly wet and soggy. Everything looked like a bomb had exploded. The rice, on the other hand, was far dry. The included salad comes without dressing or anything and is already really warm. So also inedible. It's a shame everything on the menu sounded great.

Mega! The only food we tried was the churros, but they were absolutely delicious. The waitress (she was probably there until 11 p.m.) was in a great mood. The selection of cocktails on the menu is really generous and were all delicious (well, depending on the special it took a little getting used to, but that wasn't the location :D) and well mixed. We were very, very satisfied here. However, the restaurant is a little smaller than you might expect from the extensive food and drink menu. But it doesn't matter :)

We ate there several times and ordered through Lieferando many times. On Lieferado we ordered from El Charro Negro Cantina, which as far as we know belongs to the Tequilaria and we were much more impressed by the selection (including no rice and salad as a side dish but nachos). The quality of the food is always excellent and it is truly delicious! However, the size of the burritos ordered has shrunk considerably the last few times. Increased costs are understandable given the increase in VAT and rising running costs, but a price increase would be nicer instead of significantly smaller portions.
