Very good place. Tender and tasty meat, quality is much higher compared with just on street kebabs. Tho the price is higher. But it is worth it.

We ordered a mixed appetizer platter for four people and a Tehran mini platter for each person. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly. The price-performance ratio was good.

The value for money was poor. The lamb was barely seasoned and had an unpleasant taste. The rice was tasteless and far too dry. A few berries and pistachios were sprinkled on top, but that was it. The bread had a cardboard-like consistency. All this at exorbitant prices.

I rarely give bad reviews, but my visit last Saturday was disappointing. The appetizer was delicious and the service very friendly, so that wasn't the problem. The main course, however, was a real letdown: my mixed grill was lukewarm, the meat extremely watery and barely seasoned. So much water ran out when I cut it that the entire plate was covered in it. The chicken, in particular, tasted completely bland, almost like cardboard, and didn't seem to have been grilled at all. The lamb was slightly raw. It seemed as if everything had just been defrosted and quickly prepared. A real shame, because the restaurant is capable of much better.

Restaurant Tehran offers a truly perfect culinary experience. The atmosphere is wonderful and instantly inviting. For my appetizer, I had the stuffed grape leaves, which were incredibly delicious and tender. My chicken main course was juicy, perfectly grilled, and wonderfully seasoned. The entire meal was excellent and extremely authentic Persian. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. You truly feel welcome here. Overall, a complete success! I will definitely return and highly recommend Tehran to any food lover.

It's unclear why the appetizers were frozen falafel instead of homemade Persian dishes. Another negative was that the table for 6 people wasn't prepared at all, even though it was reserved in advance. The restrooms were very dirty and needed to be cleaned. The service was very friendly but not attentive. Card payments accepted. Dogs are not allowed.

I ordered just about the most expensive thing—a grilled platter, or Tehran plate. Every restaurant usually comes with some kind of sauce, like steak sauce or peppercorn sauce. Not here. Because the food was spicy, I wanted some kind of mint yogurt sauce to go with it, like my colleagues had. They charged me an extra €5.50 for that. I found that very cheeky and it spoiled the experience. I really don't like it when extra costs are hidden everywhere.

I suggest you don't go to this restaurant. I went with my family from the city of Baderborn. The food was poor quality and the dolma was canned, very tasteless. If people want to eat canned food, they buy it from the store.

Extremely poor service, even though there was hardly anyone there, it took a long time just to order, and the food was rather mediocre. After our meal, we were simply left sitting there with no opportunity to order anything else. Extremely unfriendly, no atmosphere at all—wouldn't go back, what a shame.

I was here on July 2, 2025, with friends in a large group. In terms of food quality and taste, this is one of the best restaurants, not just in Dortmund. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusive. The meat dishes are delicious. The next time I'm in Dortmund, I will take every opportunity to visit the Teheran Restaurant again.

The food was lukewarm. It didn't taste particularly good. The ayran with fresh herbs and mineral water was the only thing that impressed me. Unfortunately, the service didn't leave a good impression. The drink didn't arrive until after the meal. After the meal, the table wasn't cleared, let alone asked if I enjoyed it.

Delicious food. The appetizer platter is a bit carelessly prepared but plentiful. Main courses there is a wide selection of meat and vegetarian. Very tasty but lightly spiced. We also liked the saffron rice. Negative: there are no desserts except baklava and only a moderate selection of digestives.

We were particularly impressed by the tender, juicy meat and the fragrant rice dishes. You can taste that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and authentic ingredients.

Decent food but poor service. We enjoyed the koubideh but we found the chenjeh, barg and joojeh not soft and fresh. On the service, our orders were not taken properly and we needed to pay with cash as their POS machine was not working.

I can't say anything about the atmosphere because we ordered. However, the quantities, compared to the price, are a joke. What's much worse is that the employees don't have a dish there and try to offer dishes for a cheaper price instead, even though the order has already been placed. On top of that, half of them were forgotten by the court. There was no apology either. Conclusion: It is definitely not recommended to order there.

Wanted to try the food. We ordered something to pick up and unfortunately can't recommend it. Really small portion of goulash but a lot of rice. Price/performance wasn't right at all. According to the menu, the second dish was supposed to have eggplant and a yogurt dip, but when we got home after unpacking there was just a tomato sauce with a little egg. Unfortunately a failure. We won't order from there again.

Mustard yogurt was good, but unfortunately it was too salty. The food we ordered was: Soltani and Chelo Mosul. The muscle was relatively better and had mild and tolerable saltiness. For example, the ministerial price is written at 17.80, but you have to pay 22.50. Shallot yogurt is written 4, but you have to pay 7. In my opinion, the quality of the food was very low at this price. I hope the owner of the restaurant will take the necessary measures to increase the quality of the food. For example, the presence of a little butter on each plate of rice is mandatory, and although it is not expensive, dry rice can be made a little fatter with that butter.
