The Samos tavern is always worth a cozy meal!!! It simply tastes delicious 😋 and even special requests are always fulfilled. If you haven't visited Samos Tavern yet, you've missed something in your life.

The portion is really very large. The gyro was tender and crispy...the fries tasted juicy and delicious. The tzatziki was very tasty 😋.

For me, it's still the best gyro in the entire Niederkassel area, it's well seasoned and juicy. The salad is fresh and crunchy. All the other dishes we have eaten there so far have all tasted good! The service there is also very good, friendly and attentive! There is Greek beer (Mythos) on tap. The prices are really fair for the quality and portions you get!

Real sweeties, not only is the food always delicious, but they are also happy to help out when you can't get out of a parking space. Really great people, love everything about it :D

Food is good! But, I placed an order by phone. When I got home there was only half of it. That was the 4th time now. Guys, what are you doing? No system, write down the orders correctly. There are a lot of people who don't come to you anymore! What a shame!

Unfortunately it was not a very good experience. Expensive and low quality. The owner is not Greek like before. Gyros were cold and dry. And service is very slow and with many mistakes. They didn't know what Greek pita was.

We always enjoyed eating there, but unfortunately the staff is now completely overwhelmed. After 35 minutes we were finally able to order, after 50 minutes of waiting - even without drinks - we were informed that the food would take another hour and a half. Unfortunately we drove again 😢

Here you can get the best gyros in the area, unfortunately the prices are now disproportionately high for a better snack bar. This summer's renovation was only partially used as an opportunity. While the interior is well done, outside you still sit under dark umbrellas with no lighting. Dirty showcase still without a menu. Far too expensive for what is offered

Very tasty and very friendly staff

We've been there before and everything was great. Unfortunately today it's exactly the opposite. Sat there for 50 minutes, my husband got a beer, I got a closed bottle. Although I asked several times if it could be opened for me, unfortunately to no avail. The table was still dirty from the previous ones and wasn't cleaned even when I asked. After 50 minutes without any service (despite multiple attempts to contact us) we unfortunately left without eating. It's a shame, that was probably the last time for us.

Today we had a really tasty Greek meal at the (former) Jorgo and it was really great, hot, freshly prepared, very nice service. Still good in terms of price. A clear recommendation from us.

The food remained just as delicious after the change of ownership as it was before. The only thing that bothers me is the new staff, the women who serve you are totally unfriendly. They belong to the job center to reject unemployment benefit applications. The two guys who serve here were really nice, but as I said, the women don't get a single cent of tips here with their bad mood. By the way, the napkins are also counted here. One napkin per guest.

Wir waren im April und Mai 24 jetzt schon mehrfach hier zum Abendessen. Das Lokal, mit schönem Biergarten, hat eine neue sehr nette Inhaberfamilie, die das Küchenpersonal übernommen haben. So gibt es hier nach wie vor die beste griechische Küche zu moderaten Preisen, bei freundlicher und aufmerksamer Bedienung. Alleine die Gyrosteller sind einfach nur lecker.

Edit: Here's another addition; Today we wanted to try it again. We ordered poppy currywurst with fries twice and had to pay a hefty 17 euros for it, i.e. 8.50 euros per portion. This is significantly too expensive for us, we will definitely not go to this snack bar again! Unfortunately, prices have shifted sharply upwards. And that cannot be due to the increase in VAT. Because this only applies to eating on site. A complete gyro to take away recently cost 15 euros, and we are no longer willing to pay that. In comparison, we pay 12.50 euros for the same portion at the new Greek restaurant "Nikos Grill" in Zündorf, and only 9.50 euros at the chef in Cologne Buchheim. And the two are absolutely comparable in terms of quality and quantity.

Wir haben hier jeder ein Kölsch und einen Gyrosteller komplett bestellen wollen... Die Begrüßung am Eingang war schon sehr seltsam, da man annahm, wir würden es zum Mitnehmen haben wollen. Erst auf Nachfrage, ob man auch im Lokal essen dürfe, gab man widerwillig und unfreundlich Auskunft. Wir nahmen dann doch letztlich im Gastraum Platz und bestellten dort dann nochmals, dieses Mal jedoch bei einer freundlichen, jedoch gestresst erscheinenden Bedienung. Zuerst kam der Salat, dieser war in Ordnung, jedoch mit einem scheinbar fertigen Dressing aus der Flasche versehen. Die Pommes waren soweit i.O. goldbraun und nicht zu salzig. Der Tzatziki war cremig und gut gewürzt. Das Fleisch verbarg sich unter einer Schicht Kräuter und ein wenig Zwiebeln. Es war relativ wenig Fleisch und die Qualität glich eher dem abgepackten Pfannengyros aus dem Supermarkt. Einfach unterirdisch und ungenießbar!! Absolut keine Empfehlung. Einmal und NIE WIEDER!!!

Ansich sehr schön und das essen war okay. Leider kammen bei 8 Leuten die Speisen nicht gleichzeitig. Ansonsten in Ordnung.

Seit dem der Besitzer gewechselt hat, kann man hier unglaublich gut essen gehen. Das gesamte Team ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist qualitativ sehr gut und es gibt wirklich gute Portionen. Ich habe noch nie so ein gutes Bifteki gegessen. Die Räumlichkeiten und auch die Toiletten sind sehr gepflegt. Hier und da ist die Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der damalige "Imbissbuden-Charakter" ist abet gänzlich verschwunden. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhalten definitiv. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das Essen ist einfach lecker! Futter Portionen, alles frisch und selbst gemacht. Das Team ist richtig nett. Es macht immer wieder Spaß!

Immer Sommer sitzt man lauschig auf der Terrasse. Die Innenräume des Restaurants sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen ist über Imbiss-Niveau. Das Servicepersonal ist überwiegend freundlich und sehr herzlich! Eine definitive Empfehlung für ein gehobenes Imbiss-Restaurant!

War hier schon oft essen - Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Kein Sternetempel aber ein schöner Biergarten, freundliche Bedienung eine einfache und schmackhafte Küche zu moderaten Preisen. Es gibt hier auch Kinder und Seniorenteller. Alles in allem ein Super Grieche, auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit allem sehr leckeres Essen und eine freundliche und sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung!! Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!! 😀

Wir waren eben zu dritt dort, haben bei schönem Wetter draußen gegessen. Der weiblichen Bedienung war ihre Unlust deutlich anzumerken, der junge Mann war freundlich. Wenn die Karte eines Griechen auch Pizza und Pasta anbietet, befindet man sich in der Regel auf Imbissniveau. Das hat sich auch hier gezeigt. Die meisten Gäste kamen, um Essen mitzunehmen. Kalamari mit Tsaziki, ging so, kaum gewürzt. Dagegen waren unsere Hauptgericht überwürzt und leider das Fleisch auch übergart. Es handelte sich um Lammspieße und 2 x Samosteller (Lammkoteletts, Schweinespieß, Gyros, Pommes Frites). Das Gyros war ok. Hier scheint die Kernkompetenz der Küche zu liegen. Wer die Qualität eines Restaurants an der Größe der Fleischportion fest macht, ist hier gut bedient. Wer etwas anspruchsvoller ist, wird eher enttäuscht sein. Preise sind orts- und branchenüblich.
