Taverne Olive in Pfungstadt

I went to Taverna Olive with friends and can highly recommend it. The service, the menu, and the food itself were all excellent. As a nice bonus, the ladies were offered a complimentary glass of sparkling wine at the beginning and dessert at the end. We all received an ouzo, which perfectly rounded off the evening. The value for money is very good by today's standards, and the friendly service makes it easy to leave a tip. I'll definitely be back.

A good Greek restaurant in Pfungstadt. The selection is extensive and the food is very good, but the wait time of over an hour, as there weren't many customers, is simply too long, hence no 5 stars.

Great service, delicious food and nice atmosphere

Unfortunately I expected more, the food was lukewarm and the meat was very dry and the rice tasted very bland. Tzatziki only tasted like quark with cucumber and garlic was in short supply. Service was nice and friendly but a bit haphazard. The picture was taken after I had already started eating a little.

Super delicious, always good and wholesome food and the service is incredibly nice, competent, friendly and accommodating, no matter how busy it is! Our dogs are also very welcome. Nothing more is possible, if I could I would have given it 10 stars!

The Taverna Olive is a small, inconspicuous Greek restaurant with delicious and appealing food. Here you also pay attention to the optics. My rump steak was decorated with cress sprouts and the plates were a chic matt black. My medium-rare rump steak was rather medium, but still tasted good. The Pfungstädter Pils went just as well with it, as did the usual Uzzo at the end.

Ordered there today to pick up. Got there on time and the food was ready. The taste was very good. Will order there again.

Small but very fine restaurant with Greek specialties and a cozy atmosphere. The gyros are tender and melt in your mouth and the grill plates are all very tasty and high quality. The chocolate soufflé is also highly recommended. We have been here 5-6 times now and the quality is consistently very good. We'd love to come back.

I rated 2 for the atmosphere, not because of the shop but because of the customers!! We were a group of 12 people, on Christmas day, including 6 children and 2 of them 5 years old!! Although relatively quiet children, without creating a problem, the customers (Germans of course), looked at us as if we were endangered insects! Their look said that since we have children, it was better to stay at home and not go out! And when a BABY from a neighboring group started to cry, they looked at them and at us with intense displeasure! The shop is excellent and very welcoming! Food excellent, waitresses polite and very helpful! We will eat again for sure, but each family alone!

It was delicious, gladly again. Unfortunately no photo this time, I had lamb chops + a slice of liver because I couldn't decide. Salad + fries + rice. Greek yogurt for dessert. Mega!

We were there with several people. The food was ok. Some better, others worse. Serving just iceberg lettuce with 1/8 tomato and a slice of cucumber for a mixed salad is outrageous given the price. The Greek salad was ok, but had little to do with a real one, but was still tasty. The other food was probably ok to good. The service was hard, but the food arrived over about 45 minutes. That shouldn't be the case. (As there was nothing going on at the time) The bill also took so long to arrive that we then went to reception.

The food is solid but nothing special. Unfortunately the pork was dry and the gyros were unfortunately cold. The service was initially very hard, but later unfortunately no one came, especially when we wanted to pay. We were also in a large group and received our food more than half an hour apart, which wasn't particularly professional either.

We spontaneously ended up here in the evening. The taste of the food was great - the portions were not overly large, but sufficient - we had typical Greek plates. The ambience and service was good standard, but nothing exceptional. The two of us were well fed for €70 and enjoyed it.

Great restaurant, the owner is super friendly and likes to cook one or two special dishes that are not on the menu and were always a culinary highlight! You can just tell that he lives and loves cooking.

We were there for the first time. Gyros weren't particularly tasty, a bit too soft, not crispy. You can sit outside in the area in front of the restaurant. The inside is not very comfortable. However, the service was friendly and helpful.

Were there with nine people. Everything was fine so far, we were just unlucky with a "fly infestation" outside, which was really annoying. But the Olive tavern can't do anything about it...

Absolutely delicious food! We come here regularly as the atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is simply excellent. The side salad is really recommended, which is why I not only enjoy it as a starter, but also order it as a side dish for my grill plate instead of the fries and the very tasty tomato rice. You'll be full here and if you're not, there are delicious desserts and starters! Here I recommend the pepperoni beforehand and the Greek yogurt as dessert.

When we go out for a Greek meal we go to the Olive tavern. Yes, the prices have been increased. However, I don't understand some of the reviews regarding this. 17.50e for the Helena grill plate, e.g. b, consists of, 1x side salad, fries, and tomato rice, saziki, 1x minced steak, gyros and 3 pork steaks on a skewer (souvlaki) and it tastes good. Comparable to other restaurants, you can eat well for two for 60e including drinks.

At first glance, the Tavern Olive is a small restaurant that is very reminiscent of a living room when you enter. But the true potential unfolds after you sit at the table. On the 1st floor there is a guest room with several tables. Here we were able to eat well and undisturbed as a group. We were also in good hands with the children. Children's chair was also on site. The waitress came to the table quickly, responded to our food requests and listened to our requests throughout the evening. The selection is predominantly Greek and that's what the name suggests. The food was good and plentiful and the real highlight is the presentation. The food was visually excellently presented and this visually appealing style continued from the starter to the dessert. Kudos to the chef, the love is in the details. Absolutely “Instagrammable”, that’s why I can recommend the restaurant for young and old. The sanitary facilities were clean and tidy. The parking situation was a bit confusing. So drive calmly into the parking lot and read the signs, because not all of the spaces belong to the restaurant. We'd love to come back.

All quite good, significantly improved compared to the last visit. The gyros were very juicy, the souvlaki could have been a little juicier. The service was quick and friendly. The food came very quickly.

Wowww! 6 STARS ! So sad we have just discovered now this jewel in the region despite we live here for several years. The food is home made and excellent (premium quality and perfectly cooked). I have seen some review complaining about the price, I think compared to other restaurants also using frozen stuff (e.g. pre cut potatoes), this restaurant price with all freshly prepared products is completely fair. I took the lamb kotelett with fresh and grilled onions bringing nice contrast, excellently prepared meat, nice potatoes with tasty herbs! It came with a salat (next time I will ask the dressing separately as it was too much for me but still ok). Completely full at the end. Service is also excellent, worth every euro. Thank you.

War ein tolles Abendessen. Mein Gericht Grillteller Katarini war sehr lecker. Nachtisch (Vanilleeis mit heißen Himbeeren) war etwas lustlos. Leider wurden wir mehrfach vom Personal übersehen wenn wir wünsche hatten. Und die Zapfanlage hatte an diesem Abend leider seinen Geist aufgegeben. Aber diese drei Punkte haben den Abend nicht getrübt. Wir kommen wieder.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Es sind alle mehr als Satt nachhause gekommen! Von den kleinen Portionen wie beschrieben worden ist haben wir nichts mitbekommen, es war einfach nur top. Lange mussten wir auf unser Essen nicht warten. Eine Vorspeise ist hier fast garnicht nötig, da man bei jedem Gericht einen sehr leckeren Salat bekommt. Hatten für 4 Personen mit 3x Vorspeise und 6x Getränke 100€ gezahlt Nur zum Empfehlen!!!!!! Wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren Sonntags mit Besuch hier. Hatten Tisch bestellt und waren bei den ersten Gästen hat aber eine Zeit gedauert bis wir bedient wurden . Getränke kamen zeitig nur das Essen ließ eine 1 Std.auf sich warten ,da können auch schon mal große Kinder ungeduldig werden. Zum Glück hat das essen jedem geschmeckt , aber so richtig satt waren mit den kleinen Portionen leider nicht alle schade .

Sehr gutes Essen, immer Freundlich. Sehr gemütlich auch wenn man draußen sitzen kann . Alles im Allem sehr zufrieden. Immer wieder gerne !

Wir waren zu dritt erstmals zum Abendessen in der Taverne Olive und positiv angetan Zwei nette, junge, sehr gepflegte, weibliche Bedienungen waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, wenn auch wegen einer kleinen Sprachbarriere nicht alle Fragen/ Wünsche korrekt, aber charmant beantwortet werden konnten Die verschiedenen Tellergerichte waren üppig, frisch, mit außen krossen und innen weichen Pommes, schmackhaftem, nicht überwürztem Tsatsiki Die an diesem Tag nicht verfügbaren Lammkoteletts wurden durch Lammfilets ersetzt, die neben der Rinderleber das beste Fleisch waren. Lediglich der Schweinespieß hätte zwei, drei MInuten weniger Zeit auf dem Grill vertragen Der Beilagensalat war recht üppig, sehr frisch und bestand zu ca. 85% aus Eisbergsalat. Ein paar Maiskörner aus der Dose (üblich und üassend) und friche Tomatenspalte rundeten ihn ab. Das Dressing könnte etwas mehr Pep haben. Im Vergleich zum übrigen Essen fiel es geringfügig ab Die Auswahl an offenen, griechischen Weinen passte gut zum Ambiente und Essen. Sowohl die weißen als auch die roten Weine waren leicht und passten gut zum Essen an einem Sommerabend auf der Terrasse Dank der Teilung der Parkplätze mit den anliegenden Geschäften/ Praxen/ Büros ist ab 18 Uhr genügend Gelegenheit zum Parken im Hof, ansonsten wenige Meter weiter auf der Hauptstraße Das war ein rundum gelungener Abend und sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch

In der Taverne Olive bekommt man ein sehr leckeres Gyros mit Pommes. Das Gewürz an den Pommes hat mir sehr gefallen. Das Tsatsiki und die Zwiebeln runden das Gericht ab. Nicht zu Vergessen den Beilagensalat vorab. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zeigte für meine unentschlossene Mutter viel Verständnis. Danke dafür. ❤️

Schöner kleiner Biergarten in dem man gut sitzen kann. Preise okay und das Essen war sau lecker. Wiederholungsfaktor sehr hoch.

Das Lokal hat innen mehrere Räume und auch einen sehr schönen Außenbereich. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Ausgezeichnete überwiegend griechische Gerichte in bester Qualität. Die gemischte kalte Vorspeise ist besonders zu empfehlen. Das frisch gebackene Brot dazu ist sehr knusprig. Eine Portion für zwei Personen ist vollkommen ausreichend, eine leckeren Hauptspeisen ist dann gerade noch zu bewältigen. Der Beilagensalat ist leider nicht griechisch: Blattsalat mit Mais, Tomate und reichlich weißem mayolastigen Dressing, kein Krautsalat usw. Wer dieses Dressing nicht mag, sollte ihn ohne Dressing bestellen und Essig und Öl ordern. Zu empfehlen - wer es üppig mag - ist das Gyros-Pfännchen: Gyros mit reichlich cremigem Schafskäse überbacken. Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service und nettes Ambiente. Empfehlenswertes Restaurant.

Toller kleiner Sommergarten. Reservierung würde ich empfehlen. Das Essen war durch die Bank wunderbar. Es hat etwas länger gedauert, war aber überhaupt nicht schlimm. Der Service war aufmerksam und schnell. Daumen hoch ... weiter so!

Wir waren zufrieden. Es war am anfang ein bisschen chaotisch, viel los und es hat eine Weile gedauert unsere Bestellung zu nehmen. Dafür war das Essen aber sehr lecker, die Weine haben uns auch geschmeckt. Wir werden sicher öfter mal hierher kommen.

Ich habe Lammkoteletts bestellt. In der Speisekarte ist angegeben (ca. 230g). Es kamen 4 kleine Teile, höchstens 150 g. Die Koteletts waren sehr gut, aber die Küche sollte doch darauf achten, die cirka Angaben in etwa einzuhalten oder in der Speisekarte ganz darauf zu verzichten.

Was soll ich sagen?? Mein liebster Grieche. Das beste griechische Essen im Raum Bergstraße. Der Service ist super schnell und freundlich. Und natürlich gibt es den Ouzo zum Abschluss. Ich feiere gerne meinen Geburtstag dort, weil auch die Freunde der deutschen Küche Gerichte finden,wenn sie dem Knoblauch nicht so verfallen sind wie ich. Ich liebe euch, Taverne Olive ❤️

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Die Portionen genau richtig. Es gibt natürlich auch einen Ouzo auf das Haus.Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Im Sommer kann man auch draussen sitzen. Eine Tischreservierung ist am Wochenende zu empfehlen, da das Lokal nicht so gross ist.
