Taverne Dionysos in Mainburg

First of all, we can't judge the food; we didn't order anything! We made a lunch reservation for four people plus a toddler in a stroller (which was specifically mentioned when we made the reservation!). When we arrived, there were three of us, including the stroller, and the fourth person wanted to join us immediately. Inside, there was only one table occupied by two people, while outside there were about three occupied tables. We were greeted by the waitress with a dry "Hello," but otherwise ignored. We wanted to find a table outside, and the waitress passed us on our way in. We mentioned that we had a reservation and asked if we could choose a table. "If you can find a table," was the short reply, followed by "but I have to go through there first" (obviously, we were in the waitress's way with the stroller). We found a free table for four with room for the little one and his stroller and sat down. After a few minutes, the waitress came over to us and said that we were "not sitting well because other guests couldn't get to the outdoor area," meaning, "you're in the way." Okay, yes, that was somewhat understandable. It was the table right at the entrance to the outdoor area, fine, we'll find another table. The friendliness here was borderline, I should mention. So we moved to a table right at the transition from the tavern to the "garden," the stroller was "parked" between ours and a table for two. Serving all the other tables was possible without any problems, at least in our perception. The waitress came shortly after and practically threw the three menus onto the table, between us, without further comment. When we asked if the waitress was in a bad mood or had some other problem with us, the only response was, "I can't reach the table." That was the point at which we decided to leave the establishment and spend our money at another restaurant. We've known this Greek restaurant for over 20 years, and we've never experienced such poor customer treatment. It certainly wasn't a busy lunchtime business, and we even announced the stroller! Maybe it was a snapshot, maybe the gentleman was having a bad day, okay. One or two mistakes can always be forgiven. But "throwing your cards on the table" like that is completely unacceptable. We'll stay away from this restaurant in the future; there are plenty of other restaurants in Mainburg and the surrounding area.

I ate the squid from the pan, very tasty, portions large, prices OK.

I was there years ago, and it was really delicious, so I was shocked the day before yesterday by the food and the service. The guests were completely unfriendly, and the waiter was a Flodder. We had garlic pita and taramas for starters, which wasn't homemade, and the flavor didn't blow us away at all. Then we had lamb chops, which were okay, but my boyfriend's plate was very fishy. It's a shame that most of the reviews are turning negative. We won't go there again.

Highly recommended, food delicious and plentiful

Unfortunately, our visit to the Taverne Dionysos in Mainburg was a real disappointment. It's clear that the restaurant's best days are long behind it. The food was okay—not bad, but absolutely nothing special. The ouzo we had beforehand was also not at all convincing in terms of taste. Especially for a Greek restaurant, that should be something of a signature dish. Why they can't at least serve it ice-cold remains a mystery. The low point, however, was definitely the service: unfriendly, inattentive, and completely disinterested. The constant feeling was that we were being inconvenienced rather than welcomed. For us, one thing is clear: this was definitely our last visit.

The waiter, a slim man, is very cheeky to the customers. After we were there several times, he was always cheeky to us when we wanted to give the orders. Customer service 0

Solid and delicious food. Great portion size and great service. Everything is a bit old-fashioned, you shouldn't expect a really great meal. But tastes great! Only the salad could be a little more creative :) I'll be happy to come back

Best bruchetta ever. Great pasta dishes, e.g. rigatoni with beef fillet tips and wild mushrooms.

If, when you ask when the bill will arrive, the waiter tells you: if it takes too long, go to McDonald's, that is unacceptable. Don't go there anymore.

For me the price-performance ratio is not right.

Overall really ok. The prices are very customer friendly. The service varies - depending on the waiter. One is snappy, the other makes you wait “because he needs a break”. The food matches the prices, which are really cheap. I'd rather pay €3-4 more and get better quality. The place itself has charm, but could use a makeover.

Family-run, small restaurant with a clear menu. Everything is fresh, no finished products and excellently prepared. Absolutely recommended.

We had a good time in a place where Greek cuisine and its specialties are an attraction, I liked the menu but above all I ate a good lamb shank, a little salty but cooked very well, the baked aubergines and the cream of aubergines, very kind Mr. Dionisio.

Bestes griechisches Essen in der Umgebung!!

Waren gestern seit langen mal wieder beim "Theo", leider hat sich das ganze echt ins negative entwickelt, unfreundliche, vom stress überforderte Bedienung. Essen...für den echt hohen Preis einfach nur enttäuschend. Unglaublich schlechte Fleischqualität. Wir waren echt enttäuscht. Werden das Lokal absofort meiden.

Personale non parla inglese. Attesa abbastanza lunga. Cibo nella media. Birra buona.

Leider erinnert der Außenbereich eher an ein gerade erstelltes Zeltlager, bei dem außer einer Platznummerierung noch keine Akzente gesetzt wurden. Der Innenbereich sieht sehr gemütlich aus. Das Essen war bis auf die Bifteki jedoch incl. der Pommes vermutlich fertigungsbedingt lauwarm. Eine Umbestellung der Pommes statt des Reis hat bisher zumindest bei mir nie auf Anhieb funktioniert. Besonders ärgerlich, wenn man der "Essen zum Mitnehmen" bestellt.

Leckeres Essen. Portionen vor allem beim Fisch im Verhältnis zum Preis Recht klein. Ambiente lässt leider auch etwas zum wünschen übrig. Service is durchschnittlich.

Sehr leckeres Essen, Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Salat, alles sehr gut gewürzt und saftig, auch die Salate waren sehr gut. Wir sind satt und zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder! Für alle Gerichte, zwei Fanta und eine ganze Flasche Wasser insgesamt 57 Euro bezahlt, da kann man wirklich nicht meckern!

Sehr nettes Lokal mit hervorragendem Service und sehr guten Speisen! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist für ein griechisches Lokal in Ordnung! Die Portionen sind ausreichend! Es gibt keine langen Wartezeiten, obwohl viele Gäste anwesend sind. Zur Begrüßung und als netten Abschluss gab es Ouzo aufs Haus. Sehr zu empfehlen - evtl. Tisch reservieren!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Nur man musste etwas warten bis alles ankommt. Das Restaurant selber war schön dekoriert und angenehm. Es fehlte aber Musik. Und das Personal war auch freundlich und sympathisch! Persönlich empehle ich euch Suflaki,Kalamari Salat und Pita.

Superleckeres Essen mit einem freundlichen, griechischen Gastgeber. Gemütlicher Gastraum und ein moderner, schattigen Biergarten. Kurze Wartezeiten, leckerer Ouzo danach. Mittagskarte von etwa 7 bis 9 Euro je Gericht. Gyros mit Pommes und Salat 7.70Euro, Gyros&Kalamari mit Reis und Salat 9 Euro.
