Nice Greek restaurant in a nice setting. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. The staff was friendly and attentive. The large windows offer a wonderful view outside and in warmer weather you can also use the terrace seating. I would particularly like to emphasize that there is a disabled-accessible toilet and a changing table for small children. Unfortunately, this is not a given in many other restaurants.

If you love Greek cuisine, this is the right place for you. Also great offers during the week. In summer you like to sit outside in the beer garden or on the terrace by the gondola pond. The owner family is extremely friendly.

We were there as part of a birthday party. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was delicious. The service was also good. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right. A single puny grilled octopus arm (10cm long, of which 5cm was only 3-5mm in diameter) on lettuce leaves with brown spots for €12.90!? I found that to be absurd. A bifteki (minced meat steak) with a small portion of fries without a side salad for €18.90 is also a hefty price. It's also impossible to run out of ingredients that store well, such as zucchini! And please check your room air/ventilation. Our jackets still stank of “Eau d’Imbiss” for days afterwards. Too bad! Things were definitely different a year ago.

Totally disappointed 😞 Not recommended! We went there for dinner with some friends on New Year's Eve. My husband and I were there for the first time. The ambiance was really nice, everything was decorated for Christmas. The service was very attentive and friendly. However, I'm only giving this restaurant two stars because, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio is disproportionate. The baked gyro had hardly any meat, but it was covered in sauce and cheese. The few fries were carelessly served on a small dessert plate. The food tasted delicious, you really can't complain, but the portions were too small. For the high price, they skimped too much on the amount of meat and fries, which aren't really cheap. Another negative thing we noticed was that the menu specifically states that no main course comes with a salad. You'd have to order one separately for €5.90. Given the overall high prices, a grilled plate costs €27.90, I think a small fresh salad should always be included, or at least a few lettuce leaves! Furthermore, our reserved table was far too cramped, far too small. We were sitting there like chickens on a ladder, simply awful. Even though there were other larger tables available, we weren't offered any other seats. Sitting comfortably isn't what you'd call it; it was impossible for us that evening. A quick bite to eat and then a quick exit! In conclusion, I was there for the first time and was totally disappointed with the value for money. Once and never again, unless the value for money is adjusted accordingly or significantly improved. Based on my experience, I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.

We had a fantastic meal here on December 27, 2024. We haven't been so pampered in a long time. The food was absolutely top-notch. The staff was exceptionally attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back. Please keep up the good work.

We recently had a large celebration at the establishment, and by the end of the day, almost everyone was unfortunately very dissatisfied. Especially with the planning and decor. Four large platters for four people were planned. Only one side dish came per platter (for a maximum of one or two instead of four). A bottle of Leonie for 10 euros (25 cents each), while the guests below us were served Gerolsteiner. A second helping of tzatziki for 7 euros and a handful of fries for a 100-euro platter for four people. I'm sorry, but this place is unfortunately nothing but a rip-off for us. We've eaten there a few times before and were always extremely satisfied. What happened there now is, unfortunately, the lowest of the low. They didn't even realize that they had overestimated the planning, and they were arrogantly turned away on top of that. We are pleased to announce that they lost 20 guests, including regulars. Were here for the first time. The ambience is really nice and inviting, but we were disappointed with the food. And the prices are just ridiculous. So for real Greeks, taziki is a given with gyros and fries, even with children's plates. The reorder costs a flat EUR 4.50 for a small portion of tzatziki... Unfortunately, the side salad wasn't tasty and was returned. After the meal, some people were still hungry and they ordered more so that they would be fuller. In many places the meat/bread was completely burnt and inedible. Well, unfortunately our last time too

This restaurant is an absolute diamond! The service is incredible and will help you chose the ideal meal. The price is very reasonable. The owner serves the customers and speaks many languages, there hospitality is incredible! This evening was a sea food menu and everything I based was sensational. Great wine selection and the atmosphere is perfect being on the side of a small lake. If your around wassenburg and you don't try this restaurant one evening you're missing out on a wonderful evening. Incredible!!

We were in the tavern for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised The reception was friendly, as was the service The starters and main courses as well as the desert were consistently good (the fried potatoes tasted really good, just a bit too greasy and the skewer on the Mykonos plate was a bit dry) to very good. We found the portion size absolutely sufficient After reading the previous reviews, you can clearly see that many criticisms have been worked on. There was definitely no question of bad service this evening.

Nice place to have a cozy meal. I find the existing LED lighting on the walls a little too bright. But something like that is a matter of taste. I ordered Gyros extra really crispy but unfortunately it was more of a rubbery and soft consistency. And unfortunately this happens repeatedly. Unfortunately, the salad was only green and dry - there was balsamic vinegar and olive oil at the table for you to use yourself. I personally think something like yogurt dressing or alternatively coleslaw would be more suitable. However, the taste of the meat was good. The fish was also very tasty. Prices are a bit high.

We had dinner here today with six people. We had seen an offer on Facebook, there were three different dishes on Wednesdays for just €9.90. We took advantage of the offer and ate gyros and souvlaki. Unfortunately we didn't really get full. The portions were small and the presentation was bland. Not a lettuce leaf, cucumber slice or tomato wedge adorned the plate. The drinks were placed somewhere on the table, so the guest can serve himself. We felt like second class guests, a shame for the potential of the restaurant.

The drinks prices are absolutely outrageous and incomprehensible. We have never had so little food on our plate in a restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our order because they forgot to give our order. If something like that happens, as a guest you expect a personal apology or, for example. We reserved a table outside for 4 people simply via WhatsApp. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and taken to the table in a great atmosphere at the gondola pond. Unfortunately after the starter it started to rain heavily and we were asked to come inside. Here too, the restaurant offers a very nice location. As always with the staff...they complain about it so often...why aren't they working on it. Hair that stuck together in our food when it was served, glasses belong on a tray and are only cleared away when everyone at the table has finished eating. The food was nothing special but tasty.

Yesterday, we visited the restaurant for the first time with a couple of friends. The service was friendly, attentive, and attentive. The old swimming pool has been transformed into a restaurant with a beautiful wooden ceiling structure, comfortable chairs, candles, and beautiful glasses. For main courses, the men had the grill plate two, with gyros, souvlaki, bifteki with two sauces, and pork fillet. The other woman had a skewer of fillet wrapped in feta, and I had a gyro plate. The salad and sauces are placed on the plate in ceramic bowls, which are the diameter of a normal dinner plate. This leaves only half a plate for the main course. My gyro plate was large enough for women; men would only be full from the portion if they had an appetizer with it. The skewer and the grill plates were also sufficiently filling with just an appetizer. For me, salad belongs on a separate plate so I can use the olive oil or balsamic vinegar provided without drowning my main course. The tzatziki tasted good, but there wasn't enough of it. The ice cream for dessert was terrible; any cheap brand from the supermarket tastes better.

Well, it works like that, food is relatively sparse, no salad, and too expensive for that.

This was our first time eating there. The location is really beautiful and the service was also great. I was actually very shocked at the prices. I think I've been there once and won't go there again. 3 scoops of ice cream with cream, €8.50 was a blast and it actually tasted rather old. But otherwise it was really tasty. I realize that everything has become expensive, but I honestly don't think the prices are justified. But that's just my opinion.

The meat on the gyro plate was very dry and the fries were less than usual. The over-baked gyro was a disaster. The portion shrunk, which would have been ok if the quality was right. The meat more fat like meat.And barely covered the bottom. If they had at least put a lot of sauce over it. But unfortunately not. Prices increased, poorer quality and smaller portions. It's a shame...

What my previous visitors and we in the restaurant complain about is unfortunately the staff. They sometimes walk around with great reluctance. At least it looks that way. It was only when you were finished whether it tasted good. The worst thing is that 90% of all glasses are carried with your fingers and when you reach the counter with a tray you grab them there. The food is very good but not very cheap either. You should do something.

Simply excellent! From the delicious Pinot Gris for just over €20 a bottle to the service. Portion size very reasonable. The taste of the food was excellent and there was also an ouzo at the end... Wonderfully located at the gondola pond in Wassenberg. The menu looked good. We just wanted to eat a little something on our first visit. Tarama and beetroot salad Greek style it was. Was served with 4 slices of ciabatta. Drinks came quickly too. The staff was friendly. Greek style left questions unanswered, which were answered after we asked: grated garlic in vinegar oil. You saw it but you didn't taste it. We could have also opened a jar of beetroot. Tarama was okay so far, but it deserved a little more flavor. We were there with around 9 and 7 euros. With 2 drinks we paid 24 euros. The first visit was sobering, but the tavern deserves a second chance.
