The food was good, the service a bit overwhelmed, and the ambiance outside could be improved. Lighting or candles at the tables would have been nice.

We spontaneously dropped in at lunchtime and were very satisfied. The service responded to our jokes with humor. 😃 We had the grilled pepperoni for starters, and the souvlaki skewers and vegetarian skewers for main courses. 👍👍 It was truly delicious. We'd love to come back.

Don't be fooled by the looks of the menu. If you've ever stepped into Greece, you'd know how simple and delicious the food is. We ordered Kinder souvlaki, knoblauch teller and bifteki and baby calamari. And if I can say calamari were average, everything else was below (except the prices). Garlic bread portion was two thin slices of baguette, skordalia was yikes, tzatziki - bearable to eat)

I always enjoy going there – everything is delicious, very fresh, and prepared with love. The price/performance ratio is excellent – the service is excellent, friendly, and quiet. They are happy to accommodate your requests. My personal favorites are the baby calamari or the grilled octopus – absolutely delicious! There's a great café right across the street with delicious cakes and coffee specialties, so you can enjoy both there.

We really enjoyed the food, and it was served quickly. We ordered bifteki with metaxa sauce and a gyro plate. The owner could actually have seemed a bit more cheerful. But at the end, he even brought us a free ouzo.

Horror!!! If you want to be treated badly and eat badly, walk in. I really can't understand the good reviews at all. I would give it zero stars. The waiter is unfriendly and listless. He gives the impression that you're not welcome! The food, which we waited over an hour for when it wasn't busy, was truly tasteless and lukewarm. There was also hair in the food, which the waiter blamed on our dog!!! No apology, nothing. People, avoid this place!!!

Food is a matter of taste. For example, we didn't like the salad at all, the meat wasn't seasoned, and the tzatziki lacked garlic. Unfriendly staff. The atmosphere was okay.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. We wanted to sit outside and have a drink, but were turned away with the explanation that this was only possible with a meal. When we asked, the staff became very rude – the manager even insulted me. Such disrespectful behavior is completely out of place in the restaurant industry. It's a shame, we were actually looking forward to a pleasant visit, but were immediately put off. We definitely won't be back.

Sehr unhöflich, gerade Behinderten gegenüber. Wir wollten heute dort Mittagessen. Es waren nur noch 2 freie Plätze an einem Tisch frei, der mittendrin stand. Ich brauche einen Rollator und so musste ich einen Gast fragen, ob er kurz aufstehen könnte, damit ich mit meinem Rollator zu den freien Plätzen kommen konnte. Da stürmt die männliche Bedienung auf mich zu, um mir zu verbieten die anderen Gäste anzusprechen. Ich könnte da eben nicht durch, wenn sie das erlauben würden kommt der nächste mit einem LKW und will durch. Auf meine Frage wie ich denn dann zu den freien Plätzen kommen soll kam keine Antwort mehr. Wenn ich mich nicht dringend hätte ausruhen müssen wäre ich gerne woanders hingegangen. Dann mussten wir 30 Minuten warten bis überhaupt mal jemand kam um die Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Andere Gäste, die nach uns kamen, wurden schneller bedient. Eine Frau am Nachbartisch wollte zahlen damit der Tisch schnell frei wird, es standen schon Leute da die sich dort hinsetzen wollten, da raunte er diese Dame an, dass das hier nicht so läuft. Er kommt zum Abrechnen wenn es ihm passt. Ich habe noch nie eine dermaßen unhöfliche Bedienung erlebt. Das Essen war ok.

We waited over 40 minutes to order. The fish dishes served (sea bream and calamari) were of minimal size (1 sea bream like a thicker Kiel sprat and the squid like as small as anchovies, 5 pieces). Unfortunately also very dry consistency. The plates were filled with cheap, fried potato slices. Each dish should cost 21.50 euros! When asked about the small portions, the innkeeper became mushy and turned back to his regular guests. He treated us like beggars and ignored the fact that we had a small child with us. Never again, NO recommendation!!

I'm pissed off. We won't do that again. I feel ripped off. My dish comes with LITTLE tzatziki (less than I'm used to at other restaurants), so order a dollop of tzatziki. In other restaurants it is available free of charge. Here I am charged €6.90 - for 3 spoons. Little 'surprise' on the bill. This is how you scare guests away - at least me. Overall the food is so-so. No euphoria.

Wir besuchten das Lokal an einem Montagmittag kurz vor 13:00 Uhr. Ca. 80% der Tische im Aussenbereich waren besetzt; der Innenraum komplett frei. Zu sehen war eine Person (Wirt oder Bedienung? Nach einer akzeptablen Wartezeit bekamen wir die Karte und orderten zunächst Getränke. Dann vergingen etliche Minuten in denen es uns nicht möglich war eine Bestellung aufzugeben obwohl von einem hektischem Betrieb nicht die Rede sein konnte. Mit einer sehr flaspsigen Bemerkung wurden unsere Handbewegungen abgetan. Wir haben von einer Mahlzeit abgesehen, unsere Getränke bezahlt und uns bei einem Bäcker in unmittelbarer Nähe versorgt. Die uns "bedienende" Person sollte vielleicht in der Müllentsorgung arbeiten - da muß weder ein Servicegedanken noch Freundlichkeit umgesetzt werden.

Nach der Stadtbesichtigung sind wir in diesem Lokal eingekehrt. Auf den ersten Blick recht ansprechen. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich für griechische Küche, aber vielleicht bedeutet das ja, weniger ist mehr und hochwertig. Leider hat sich der erste Eindruck nicht bestätigt, denn bei nur wenig Gästen hat es lange gedauert bis nach der Bestellung die Getränke und dann die Vorspeisen kamen. Bei der Hauptspeise dann Portionen die an ein 3 Sterne Restaurant erinnern und dann auch noch ein Gericht das nicht bestellt war. Was soll’s wir hatten Hunger sind aber trotzt Vorspeise und Hauptgang nicht wirklich satt geworden. Es war doch sehr enttäuschend.

The food was super tasty and plentiful. We had liver, gyros, pork fillet. The restaurant is cozy and the boss is very funny. You immediately feel comfortable.

Good stars in the individual ratings and yet only two stars in the overall rating, how does that work? This is due to the price level, which cannot be assessed here. The food (Giro plate for 16.90 euros) is delicious and fairly priced. But when a bottle of water costs 7.10 euros and a small coffee costs an impressive 4.10 euros, we feel like we've been taken for fools. It's a shame that the innkeeper ultimately annoys satisfied guests with such prices.

wir waren zu dritt dort um etwas zu essen. ich kann nur für mich sprechen; ich hatte den salat mit hähnchenspießen und wurde mit einem 08/15 salat konfrontiert, der so lieblos aussah wie er offensichtlich auch zubereitet wurde. Entsprechend war der geschmack:fade! brot gab es keines dazu und auch kein olivenöl oder balsamico, was nach meiner meinung zu salaten unaufgefordert mit an den tisch gebracht werden sollte falls es nicht sowieso dort standardmäßig steht. man sollte dieses gericht in dieser form besser von der karte nehmen. dazu kam, dass es an einem samstagabend! bei gutem wetter offensichtlich nur eine bedienung gab.

Service is terrible!!!! You serve yourself with the menu. We were waiting for almost an hour for our basic dishes. 2 adults and 2 small children (only 2 main dishes). When I told the owner that we cannot wait longer and won't pay for the food if it wouldn't be on our table within 5 min, he simply replied- ok. No problem. 2 min later, we received the food. Very simple main dishes. We were shocked! And even not single word of apology. Do yourself a favor and follow the other reviews as well. It had 3.8 rating for a reason....

We go here every now and then and enjoy being here. The ambience inside is very nice and authentic. It is precisely the authenticity that is attractive, even if it is kept simple. It's not a full 5 stars, but I think 4 isn't enough. Especially since it is also very neat. It's also really nice to sit outside! The service sometimes seems a bit heartless at first, but once you start talking you realize that it's not unwelcome or unfriendly. The food is delicious and the price is basically okay. Everything is no longer the same as it was a few years ago. However, I find the dollop of tzatziki to go with the souvlaki or bifteki far too small. And I don't want to order an extra portion, which may be "desired". Unfortunately it is often similar elsewhere. I find the fact that only cash payment is possible to be acceptable, but a bit unfashionable these days. There is room for improvement for everyone and my review will not change that. So it might be. The operator lives it that way. And that is also a piece of authenticity! We still like to go here from time to time and can recommend the place!

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung für meine Mutter, die über kein Internet verfügt. Wir waren mit Freunden im Mykonos. Die Bedienung und der Wein waren ok. Das Essen leider nicht essbar. Der Grillteller kam mit eine riesigen Portion total verbranntem und trockenem Fleisch daher, da sind einige Tiere umsonst gestorben. Nur das Bifteki schien essbar und war geschmacklich akzeptabel. Allerdings währte diese kleine Freude nur kurz. Nach dem Aufbruch vom Restaurant hat die Zeit kaum gereicht um zuhause die Toilette aufzusuchen und das Ganze wieder los zu werden. Schade, ist so ein schöner Platz am Markt. Jetzt wird auch noch das gegenüberliegende Cafe vom gleichen Betreiber betrieben. Schaun wir mal.....

Portion was very small, despite being listed as a main course and one of the most expensive on the menu. The taste was okay, but it could have been seasoned better/more intensely. Indoor ambience a bit sterile. In addition, the room was hardly heated.

Well ladies and Gentlemen... what a prize this place was. My [REDACTED] confessed to me today that she used to be bulimic years ago and that this restaurant tempted her to relapse. We arrived at 5.30pm with a toddler and we found a seat. We ordered promptly as time is key these days. The food arrived at 6.28pm. Which would be fine if the food was good. It was dreadful... I've had better food in late night Donner shops. What's worse; it is expensive! Perhaps a bad night. But next time I will keep walking.

Eigentlich nicht wirklich außergewöhnlich, profitiert halt von der guten Lage. Ist aber auch nicht wirklich schlecht im Vergleich zu anderen Griechischen Restaurants.

Bedienung war leider nicht die freundlichste und das Essen, war leider bei mir nicht durch (Bifteki), bzw. Haben Zutaten gefehlt und das Essen war leider nur noch lauwarm. Alles im allen kann man besser Essen in Eltville.

Wir sind als Familie mit einem kleinen Baby in die Taverne gegangen, v.a. um etwas zu trinken und uns vor dem Regen zu schützen. Nachdem wir nur Getränke bestellt hatten, wurden wir regelrecht rausgeschmissen, da wir nur zum Essen hätten kommen sollen. Wir hatten jedoch schon gegessen und hatten keinen Hunger. Dennoch mussten wir mit dem Baby das Lokal im Regen verlassen. Sehr unfreundlich. Griechische Gastfreundschaft geht anders.

Das Fleisch war soweit schmackhaft und hatte auch eine gute Qualität. Die Pommes Frites waren leider sehr trocken. Die Menge war im Vergleich zu meinem "Hausgriechen" jedoch um einiges kleiner. Beispiel: die 3 Stück Fleisch vom Spieß sind etwas mehr, wie 1 Stück von "meinem" Griechen. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

Unterirdisch! Personal unfreundlich. Wir waren mit 11 Personen und suchten einen Schattenplatz. Der 8er Tisch durfte nicht belegt werden, sei reserviert. Essen war ungenießbar. Nur Getränk war nicht erwünscht. Kann jedem nur raten ein anderes Restaurant aufzusuchen.

Das schlechteste Salat hab nicht in mein Leben gegessen, null Geschmack, paar Blätter von rucola, paar Gurken, und paar feta Käse in Blätterteig für 14.90 € so ein Frechheit. Bei so schöne Wetter mehr als halbe Terrasse war gesperrt, das Bedienung hat nicht mal gefragt wie hat das Essen geschmeckt ,anscheinend hat es schon geahnt ,weil wir hatten fast volle Teller gelassen , klar es war ja auch ungenießbar . Einmal gewesen und nie wieder.

Wir wollten eigentlich heute in diesem Lokal essen. Der Herr der bedient hat war allerdings dermaßen unfreundlich dass wir unsere Getränke bezahlten und von einer Essensbestellung absagen. Selten sowas unfreundliches gesehen, zu allen Gästen.

Leider kann ich dieses Lokal nicht positiv bewerten. Das unfreundliche Verhalten des Kellners ist eigentlich mit null Sternen zu bewerten. Cola und Radler bestellt. Bestellung mit verzerrtem Gesicht aufgenommen. Radler war ein Bier für 4,50 €. Auch beobachtet das er an den Nachbartischen das Gesicht verzogen hat. Da möchte man nicht essen. Für die Preise erwartet man Service.

Wir waren heute zu dritt, 14:30 Uhr da. Als ich Kaffee und Joghurt bestellen wollte hat der Kellner nicht weiter gefragt was meine Freunde möchten. Wir wurden aufgefordert zu gehen oder richtiges Essen bestellen. Auch wenn anderen Gäste nur Wein getrunken haben und mindestens 4 Tische frei waren. Hab versucht den wahren Grund zu erörtern weshalb ich nicht bedient werde. Nur dumme Ausreden. Vielleicht weil ich einen regenbogenfarbenen Regenschirm dabei hatte? Oder weil wir uns auch auf polnisch unterhaltet haben? Meine Gäste aus Polen waren entsetzt! Was für Gastfreundschaft? Fremdschämend. Wie traurig. Wir sind natürlich gegangen. 🌈

Leckeres Essen und freundlicher offensichtlich einzelkämpfender Gastronom, der trotz erkennbaren Personalmangel sei bestes gegeben hat. Das Lokal sehr gut besucht. Das Essen salat mit Hähnchenfleisch frisch und Schmackhaft. Die Preise Moderat. Ich drücke dem Team der Taverne die Daumen das der Engpass überwunden wird. Achnja, ich komme gerne wieder.
