Taverna Athos in Berlin

I have been around the Bundesplatz since some months and just discovered this huge restaurant. It opens Monday what is unusual for restaurants, so now I take lunch there many times 👍🏻

Great food, the portions are always generous, everything tastes good, and is professionally cooked and presented on the plate. The ceramic plates are also of excellent quality. The service is very good, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu items. The decor is exceptional, thanks to the realistic depiction of Greek gods in natural poses. The gods are reminiscent of the portrayal of actors on movie posters from the era of the sandal films. Wonderful, unusual, beautiful. And the restaurant is more than worth a visit.

A very spontaneous visit to the restaurant “Athos”, a Greek restaurant, at Bundesplatz 2 in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. I'm thrilled, it was a real hit and we'll definitely come back to you soon. The food was impeccable, hot, fresh and very tasty. The entire staff was also very kind, attentive and friendly. But feeling so comfortable in a short time and being able to order delicious dishes has become far too rare. Thanks to Thomas, who served us so nicely yesterday, you are a really great team with a mega kitchen. Five stars. Are really happy that we discovered you. Best regards !!

Holiday feeling at Bundesplatz. If you sit outside and close your eyes tightly enough, the cars on Bundesallee sound like the sound of the sea 🌊 I like it here but I always eat too much

Very large restaurant, on Thursday at 2 p.m., 8 guests present. We didn't like the food. The salad was freshly prepared, but the meat was marinated too heavily. The service was attentive and very friendly.

We visited the Greek restaurant Athos in Berlin. The guys working there were all smiling and very polite. What we ate was amazing, wide variety and all very tasty. If you go to Berlin you must eat at the Athos Tavern everywhere.

We've been there more than 10 times over the years. Always super friendly and delicious food. You can order anything from the menu. I really like the oven dishes. House wine very good value for money. Portions are huge so you can take something home. Adorable place

Many years ago this restaurant was part of the Athena Grill restaurant chain. In the warm months you can still sit comfortably on the terrace. As far as I remember, not much has happened inside. Everything seems a bit old-fashioned, but clean, tidy and cozy. The service was nice and friendly. The food was tasty, but the portion size was just okay. The house provided a small dessert and a schnapps. Overall, I think the price-performance ratio is okay.

We are always greeted with a warm welcome. Service quick and friendly. Food is great. I also think the questions about the dish are okay. We'll keep coming back and stay that way.👍

A family-run restaurant, just as you would imagine. The boss puts his heart and soul into it, just like the rest of the family. Always very attentive, the food is always freshly prepared. Without excessively long waiting times. My friends and I have been regular guests for a long time. Hospitality and service are really still practiced here. Keep it up 😃😃

Once and never again! We had to wait 1.5 hours for our dishes. After we asked the waiter when the food would be ready, he just shook his head and laughed. In the end it turned out that it was also the boss.

We had a really good Greek meal here: chicken skewers and an Athos plate. Before we had Tiropitakia. From our point of view, a plus point: Tzatziki is included without you having to order it additionally. And it tasted the way it should. (So ​​it's not a tasteless cream like you often get for an extra charge these days.) Here it had a very nice consistency and the dishes were generally well seasoned. 😎 The people in service were friendly and attentive. 👍

Best Greek in Berlin. Top food, good value for money. But the most important thing: super nice, charming and professional staff, the entire team (rare in Berlin)! We like to be regulars here and the beer garden is relatively large and relaxed in the shade

I am a real Berliner and there are 3 Greek family members in my family and that's why I know Greek cuisine. The gyro wasn't exactly tasty and serving the ouzo in a warm glass with an ice cube isn't exactly recommended, but it looks like the glass is full of ouzo. You can do it, but it doesn't taste particularly good.

I liked it, the food was closer to 3.5 but there's no such thing as half stars. The young staff was pleasantly friendly and polite by Berlin standards.

I can only say good things. Starters plate was mixed, with some pastes and pickled vegetables. The side salad was a bit bland, but the squid salad was nice. As the main course, an Athos grill plate with special curls. Was fulfilled - without complaining or anything else - pleasant. The grill plate was pretty good, the garlic potatoes were frozen and the tzatziki were pretty average, but the meat was the best I've had in Berlin so far. The boulette was with fresh parsley and very juicy. Nice souvlaki skewer, very juicy! There was also a lamb chop, which wasn't grilled to death, but was also juicy. But the best thing was the gyro. Usually it's more like fried meat chips. But here are really freshly cut pieces, juicy, with structure, one side nicely browned, the other side fresh. Delicious. The service was great too - three different waiters - all very nice. I was also curious about how long I would have to wait after the starter was ready - the main courses came straight away, so good timing. We were really happy and will definitely come back! Recommendation. Update: were there again, unfortunately it was rather average

The food was "okay" but not outstanding. Unfortunately, the gyros in particular were rather flimsy. Price-performance ratio was okay, around 30 euros per person including a carafe of wine.

Mit ganz viel Spannung bin ich ins Athos. Viele gute Rezensionen und schöne Bewertungen laden ja quasi ein, das Lokal endlich mal zu besuchen. Eines vorab: Die Freundlichkeit des Service ist absolute fünf Sterne! Freundlich, nicht aufgesetzt, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, auch wenn das Lokal insgesamt innen recht groß ist. Aber genau das macht einen Teil des tollen Charme vom Athos aus. Auch draußen ist unter überdachtem Außenbereich alles sehr einladend. Der Service ist flott, die Sanitäranlagen sauber und ordentlich. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist durchaus üppig. Nicht ganz nachvollziehbar sind die Aussagen, dass es hier sehr günstig zuginge. Die Preise sind normal, jedoch kein Grund hierhin zu pilgern. Die Getränke sind ordentlich und die Portionen der Speisen sind gut. Das Gyros kann definitiv mehr Gewürz vertragen und die Beilagen der griechischen Vorspeisen sind leider keine Erbauung. In Ordnung, aber Mainstream. Die Atmosphäre wird jedoch wieder hergestellt mit dem(n) Ouzo aufs Haus und einer sehr leckeren kleinen Nachspeise aus griechischem Joguhrt mit Frucht. Bezahlen kann man anstandslos mit Karte. Sehr gut.

Auswahl der Speisekarte ist gut, die Preise passen gut zur Qualität, Service freundlich und auch die Wartezeit passt.

Das Essen und der Service sind auch bei einem vollen Lokal besser als gut 👍. Leider ist der Innenraum akustisch nicht so optimal. Man muss sich schon anstrengen um sein Gegenüber zu verstehen. Zumindest wenn das Restaurant gut besucht ist.

Wir waren an unserem ersten Abend in unserer neuen, temporären Wahlheimat hier essen und komme definitiv wieder. Wir, das sind zwei Erwachsene mit Hund, fühlten uns vom ersten Anruf zur Tischreservierung bis über den Erhalt der Rechnung hinaus sehr willkommen. Es gab leckeres Essen für eine absolut faireren Preis. Die Getränke- und Speiseauswahl qualifiziert die Taverna Athos als Restaurant für den spontanen Abendbesuch oder jede Art geplanter Feier! Wir danken dem Team für einen tollen ersten Abend in Berlin, wir kommen gerne wieder!

War letztes Jahr zum Weihnachtsessen dort! Hatte Gänsekeule mit Rotkohl, Klößen und Orangensauce bestellt! Die Orangensauce hat nach Plastik geschmeckt und war ungenießbar, vom Rotkohl gab es 3 Esslöffel voll, ein paar winzige Klöße dazu. Die Gänsekeule war ok. aber sehr klein! Alles in allem wohl eher eine Kinderportion. Für 28 Euro fast schon eine Frechheit! War auch sonst mit einem Freund öfter dort. Beim Vorbesitzer gab es sofort leckeres, warmes Brot auf dem Tisch, hier gibt es kein Brot, außer man bestellt und bezahlt es! Schlechter Service!

Seit Jahren bin ich zu den Vorbesitzer gegangen, hatte viele Leute dort. Wir haben sehr viel Geld dort gelassen. Heute war ich mit einem Freund dort und wegen eines kleinen Missverständnisses um ein falsches Gericht wegen 1,50 € wo sie mindestens fünf Euro Trinkgeld bekommen hätten. Hat man uns das Laden verwiesen und gesagt, wir haben hier Kameras und wir werden die Polizei instruieren, Sie anzuzeigen. Ich bin danach noch mal hin und habe mein Gespräch gebeten man hat mich rausgeschmissen. Gut weswegen will man uns anzeigen wir haben nicht randaliert wir haben nicht um Tische um geschmissen.

Schnelle und aufmerksame Bedienung

Essen und Getränke waren gut und schmackhaft. Toiletten waren sauber und das Personal freundlich. Komme gerne wieder.

Dieses Restaurant ist ein absolutes Highlight! Die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die exzellenten Speisen und der äußerst freundliche und aufmerksame Service machen den Besuch hier unvergesslich. Ein Muss für Feinschmecker! Ich komme gerne immer wieder!

Tolles griechisches Restaurant am Bundesplatz. Das Essen ist wirklich ausgezeichnet und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Ambiente und die Terrasse sind sehr stimmig. Im Sommer ist es sehr schön hier zu sitzen und zu essen oder einfach nur etwas zu trinken. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und von guter Qualität. Auch eine kleine Vorspeise, sowie ein kleines Dessert und auch einen Absacker bekommt man als Aufmerksamkeit. Fühle mich hier immer sehr gut bewirtet. Klare Empfehlung für diejenigen, die gerne griechisch essen gehen! 5/5

Schön, dass die neuen Besitzer so schnell eröffnet haben. Personal sehr freundlich, ist aber immernoch etwas unorganisiert. Sie sind aber sehr bemüht, dies zu ändern. Die Speisekarte wurde schön überarbeitet. Die Preise sind dafür schon ganz schön hoch, aber noch bezahlbar. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

Mit griechisch kann man nie was falsch machen

Familiärer Gasthof. Ich kehre wenigstens einmal bei ihnen ein, wenn ich in Berlin bin. Preis- Leistung hervorragend. Sehr liebes Personal.

Schöne, großzügige Sommerterrasse unter Pergola, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, feines, leckeres Essen, das auch optisch sehr ansprechend serviert wird. Wirklich empfehlenswert!
