We have rarely eaten Greek food as well as we did here. We really liked the welcome, the hospitality and the service. People like to come here. The food was top, had a large selection of hot and cold starters and a bottle of white wine. The only criticism was the light, at some point you get tired because it was a bit dim, but everything else worked great.

I was eating here today with my family... a really cute place... the food was super tasty... very tasty seasoning. . The service is really accommodating...very attentive and very friendly...you feel really comfortable here...we'll be happy to come back

It was fine. But we have often eaten better Greek food. Our fries, for example, were still half raw. The Galaktoboureko would certainly have been better warm. Overall expandable. Priced too high for that. We came because we saw the place on TV and were traveling in the area.

We had reserved in advance and got a great table in this lovely and authentic restaurant. There were seven of us and yet everything arrived at our table on time and correctly as ordered. The starters were really great, really very good. Each one is a direct hit. The main courses were also delicious. The service was exceptionally good, attentive and friendly and the waiters were all very humorous. All in all, a perfectly successful dinner at Taverna. We'll definitely be back.

There were five of us there this evening. Right at the beginning the waiter suggested preparing a menu for €18.80 per person, as it was otherwise only available for lunch on the menu. At the end the bill: €210 for the meal alone. That means €42.5/person instead of the verbally promised €18.80 per person. This is outrageous and ruins the evening in hindsight. We only noticed this later because a person wanted to do a favor and invited us. It was only after she later wondered about the prices at Swiss levels that this rip-off was discovered.

One of our favorite Greeks restaurant in Stuttgart west. Love the Meze offer on Monday. Such great offer for a group of friends to shared the food. Our kids love the fried sadine and eggplants fried is really good.

This is the best Greek restaurant I've been to so far. I've been there three or four times in total, highly recommended! What I particularly appreciate: In contrast to more "German-Greek" restaurants where everyone typically orders a dish for themselves (gyros!), we order a lot of smaller things that everyone can share at the table. Of course, you can expand this with salad, meat or fish as desired. It's also (if you leave it to the taverna) not always exactly the same things. For me a little piece of Greece in Stuttgart, super tasty and also very nice service :) The only small point of criticism from my point of view: when we were there in summer or on warmer days, it was very stuffy inside, so it's best to reserve a place outside ;)

A great Greek restaurant in Stuttgart. Lots of different specialties, typically Greek prepared and incredibly tasty! Above all, lots of great vegetarian dishes! In addition, very friendly Greek service with helpful tips on putting together the meze. Exactly how you imagine an evening like this. Plus a fair price/performance ratio. All in all, highly recommended and always worth a visit!

In my opinion the best Greek in Stuttgart. I have tried many dishes and everything tastes good and very fresh. The service is great. The employees are always friendly and courteous. Greek music plays in the background, which fits the ambience perfectly. We really enjoy eating here. In the first picture there are zucchini chips and mussels and in the second there are fries, a piece of grilled corn-fed chicken, and chicken skewers served with pita.

A delicious and beautiful experience. They don't just try to offer standard Greek food. You can feel it and taste it (which is great). Friendly service, great family advice, good seller. Unfortunately there are far too many tables provided. We would have had significantly more drinks if we had been paid a little more attention. Long wait for the food (also to the right and left of us). Ambiance inside is nice. You could describe it as newly renovated and Greek Art Deco. But overall, that's really a positive thing.

Perfect meal, perfect evening. My friends had a wedding dinner here and the team at Taverna gave us a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, whether it was fish, meat or anything he vegetables - everything was cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. I will definitely come back.

We ordered a starter platter and when we asked whether it would also be possible for 3 people, we were told, no problem. For the main course we ordered Greek fish and chips with skordallia. The main course was also great. The whole atmosphere is very inviting and what is really extraordinary is that not everything tastes the same here. Spices were played with. For me I can say it's the best Greek restaurant we've visited in a long time. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Friendly service, each dish tastier than the next, nothing weighs heavily on the stomach, which surprised me very positively. Each dish has its own special touch and sets it apart from other restaurants. In summer I personally found it a little too warm inside and too loud outside. However, we had a wonderful evening where we forgot everyday life and time. We'll definitely be back!! There is still so much to try.

The food was simply sensational! The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. Particularly noteworthy are the delicious mezedes and the perfectly grilled fish. The wine selection was also excellent and complemented the entire meal wonderfully.

I thought for a long time how many stars I should give, I'm between 3-4 and leaning towards 3. The food itself tasted good, but when I read some of the reviews here, the praise seems exaggerated to me, or people have little opportunity to compare . The prices, on the other hand, are steep for a small corner restaurant where you want to eat something in the evening during the week. The service was friendly, there was only a small communication problem which was resolved in a friendly manner. All in all it was nice, but it didn't convince me and that was due to the sum of the little things that I didn't like.

On Monday evening we stood in front of the entrance for 15 minutes and were ignored by the waiter. He walked past us several times without saying a word. Never seen such bad service. Then we went to the Turks in Rainsburgstr, it was very tasty!

The vibe is super nice, as are the colorful dishes. The pita bread is top-notch, but the octopus was not fresh. The lamb chops and pork skewer are a bit over-seasoned. The spices are light, but there’s too much salt. They asked for tips as well.

Fine Greek cuisine. Nomen is omen! In my opinion it is the best Greek restaurant in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. Was there again yesterday. The fish platter with a very tasty salad was outstandingly good and plentiful. The dessert Kantaifi with ice cream was heavenly because the filling was exceptionally good - instead of the usual nuts there were dried fruits such as figs, plums and apricots. The sin was worth it! The rosé wine that was recommended was top notch! Despite the full house, the staff was attentive and extremely hospitable! The prices are absolutely reasonable. I have been to this restaurant several times and have always been impressed by the taste, the freshness of the products and the innovative preparation of the dishes. Because this is real Greek cuisine that you can get in good restaurants in Greece and not the Poseidon or Acropolis plate. Vegans and vegetarians also enjoy it. Keep it up!

There are a dime a dozen Greek restaurants, but none of them top the Taverna! The finest dishes, paired with great service and a great atmosphere in the middle of Stuttgart's west! Whether it's a spontaneous dinner or planned celebrations such as a wedding or something similar - it's possible here! Absolute heart recommendation!

❌ Worst restaurant experience in Europe 1. We had reserved a table for 8:15 p.m. When we arrived the waiter showed us to a table. There were four empty tables in this area. Since our table was very dark, we asked if we could change but were told that the other tables were reserved. However, the guests who came after us were free to choose their table. 2. The guests who arrived after us received their food within 15 minutes. We had to wait 40 minutes and ask how long it would take. After another 20 minutes the food came. In total we waited an hour. 3. When paying, the waiter brought the bill. While I was looking over the bill and deciding how much to tip, the waiter directly said that we should tip ten percent. When I asked why ten percent, he repeated that we should tip ten percent. Only when I pointed out to him that tipping wasn't mandatory did he change his statement and say it would be okay if we didn't give anything. I find it very rude to ask for a ten percent tip with such poor service. If you view tipping as an obligation, then there isn't one. 4. The food was mediocre. We ordered tzatziki, melitzanosalata and the fish platter. The first two starters were fine. As for the fish platter: the sea bream fillets and anchovies were too salty, the baby calamari weren't fresh at all and the prawns tasted like they were frozen. For two people 90 euros, it's not worth it. 5. I wonder why we were treated so badly. I can't think of any other reason other than racism. I hope the restaurant can provide a reasonable explanation.

From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and looked after by the courteous waiters. Service was consistently attentive and professional without being intrusive. We were particularly impressed by the boss, who not only seemed likeable but also extremely competent. He took the time to personally greet us and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The culinary highlights of the evening were undoubtedly the calamari, which were prepared in an extravagant and delicious way. Every bite was a delight and demonstrated the high artistry of the cuisine. The experience was rounded off with an excellent wine that went perfectly with our menu and made our evening unforgettable. We can highly recommend the taverna and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Price performance top! The service was all very friendly. Food very tasty. Despite being good eaters, we didn't make it. But it was packed up. Ambience is also nice and in a quiet location.

Pretty, but also pretty expensive. The current menu, which is available online, does not contain drink prices (still included a week ago). For good reason. Anyone who orders a bottle of water pays €7.80. Food was good, but too greasy, like the pita bread that crumbled. And what I find disgusting is when the boss grabs the glass from above with all 5 fingers around the top edge of the glass and serves it like that. We won't go there again.

The service was mediocre: on the first visit, recommendations regarding the quantity of "tapas" ordered are helpful. This happened only very hesitantly and we were never asked about any (drink) requests again. There could still be improvements. However, the food tasted very good and was very appetizingly prepared. We ate a selection of the house and also ordered a few tapas. Unfortunately, they didn't offer to pack up the leftovers, but rather threw a used napkin on top. The Aperol is thinly mixed. The wine selection is very good.

We came across the restaurant through the Fine Dine voucher and visited the restaurant as a group of 6 adults on a busy Saturday evening. Everyone agreed it was the best and most authentic Greek food we've ever had. We took advice from the waiter and decided to put together our own selection of starters. The multiple dishes were varied and every option we tried was delicious. The large selection of vegetarian mezze, which we didn't expect, was particularly impressive. Definitely exceeded our expectations and we look forward to our next visit. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fish and I can say, coming from a coastal city, that it is the best fish I have eaten in Germany so far. The price is normal for a dish like this where you are served the whole fish. I would return again with enthusiasm.

The restaurant is centrally located and in the past one would have called it a "typical corner pub", so it's relatively inconspicuous. But it's very cozy inside and the service is just great. We only had various starters, but the advice on the combination and the wine recommendation were absolutely consistent. The view from the window isn't great, directly onto the sidewalk, but that's secondary to the food

Spontaneously looked for a restaurant on Maps and tried it out. We were thrilled! Nice atmosphere, easy to reach, parking available on the street. The food came quickly and was very tasty! We ordered breaded sheep's cheese, pita bread, a Greek farmer's salad, stuffed grape leaves and bifteki, everything was great. We'll be back :)

We went here for dinner on a weekday evening. The prices are a bit higher compared to other Greek restaurants in Stuttgart. However, one has to say: absolutely right! The dishes are perfectly cooked and have an intense taste. Fresh herbs are used and you can simply taste the fact that they make an effort to flavor the individual dishes individually instead of using a general seasoning mixture for everything. The service staff are very attentive and hardworking. My personal highlight: the orange cake on the dessert menu. Even now, two days after my visit, I still think about how delicious this was!

The food was pretty good. Having lived a time in Greece, I missed some of the classic dishes that I didn't see on the menu. That was a bit disappointing but the options that I selected were very well cooked and tasty. The service was absolutely top notch. The place was very busy but our server didn't even sweat. He was a true pro and attended to all our questions. Parking was also great. There was plenty of street parking near the restaurant. Always a bonus!

Sehr leckeres Essen und Vorspeisen mit sehr großen Portionen. Man bekommt für das Geld wirklich doppelt so große Portionen an Vorspeisen wir bei manch anderer griechischen Taverne in der Umgebung. Wenn man erst einmal einen Parkplatz gefunden hat (einziges Manko) dann kann man dort wirklich sehr lecker Essen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und nett! Weiter so!

Das ist das beste griechische Restaurant, welches ich je gesehen habe. Das Essen war leckerer als auf Kreta und das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich.

We ate tzatziki + shimp with ouzo and tomote sauce + lamb stick. All of them are fresh and really delicious. Stuff speaks English, and they have an english menu. We will come here again for sure.

Wir hatten am Sonntag einen tollen Abend zu viert in DER Taverna. Der Chef selbst hatte uns die verschiedene Teller zusammengestellt. Tolle Bedienung und super nette Atmosphäre im feinen Lokal. Super Essen und mal ganz lecker konnten wir Fisch, Fleisch und Frittiertes auf mehreren Tellern gemeinsam probieren. Danke für den schönen Abend und auf baldiges Wiedersehen.

Es war super lecker! Wir haben mehrere Vorspeisen bestellt und geteilt und jedes einzelne hat sehr gut geschmeckt Es hat nur eine Person ein Hauptgericht bestellt, welches aber auch fein war Der Nachtisch war ein Gedicht! Orangen-Grießkuchen - es war der Hammer! Unglaublich gut, saftig, orangig, lecker! Die Weine haben auch gut geschmeckt Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend und wir kommen gerne wieder
