My wife and I have been visiting this place for about 3-4 years, unfortunately today was the last time. It's more expensive, you get less and, worst of all, it has dropped very significantly, unfortunately we do not recommend it.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match. In the past, three tapas were enough to fill you up. Now not even 4 anymore. What a shame. Quality has also decreased. Service and service very nice

Pretty standard approximation of Spanish tapas that you will find in most cities. It was decent though but nothing special.

Good to very good tapas. Unfortunately, two of 13 different tapas were too dry. It was very crowded, but no problem with a reservation. Despite the rain, we were able to sit outside. Service is nice, nice to be primarily English speaking. With sangria, water and 4 tapas per person it was just over €40 p.p. issued.

We have eaten at Tapeo (also at the old location) many times. So far we have always been satisfied. Price/performance was definitely right. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. The positive first: The atmosphere outside is nice. The service is friendly and attentive, even if it sometimes seems overwhelmed (but it should be mentioned negatively that the staff asks you to leave after the assigned 2-hour window - even if the first hour passed before the order was even taken ). The quality of the food has also declined significantly and, in our opinion, the price/performance ratio has become miserable. For example, we found €8.50 for 5 small frozen prawns with olive oil to be exorbitant. 4 half slices of bread with aioli (which was always available in larger portions on the house) are now priced at €5. In addition, the sangria tasted very watery and, according to the menu, cheaper ingredients were used than before. Conclusion: €40 per person for 2 sangria and 2 mediocre tapas didn't meet our price/performance feeling and we won't be coming back in the future!

Tapas I've learned is expensive snacks. Like, you want: 6 mushrooms? €4 4 meatballs? €4 15 mussels? €6 Not worth it imo.

We made a reservation for 8 p.m. and still had to stand in a long line and wait. Then why did we reserve?

For me the best tapas bar far and wide! The boss and his team always try to find a table for us, the staff is friendly and quick, both tapas and cocktails are simply delicious! It's also nice to sit on a large outdoor area in the summer and comfortably inside in the winter with nice music! Thank you for the many great evenings with you!

We were there with 8 adults and 2 small children from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Lots of activity and yet very friendly, fast service. The tapas came to the table nicely together for each round. There were even small fresh fruit snacks for the children. And the tapas are simply delicious. 🤤 Thanks to the great team!

Nice place in the middle of Cologne to eat tapas. Everyone was super nice. (Waiters sometimes only speak English/Spanish, could be a problem for others). The food is great and there is enough vegetarian choice for a Spanish restaurant.

I've been a couple of times and unfortunately I think it's overrated. The quality-price ratio... the price of the tapas is exaggerated for the quantity that then arrives on the table. Yes, the taste is all right, authenticity not so much anymore. I would say that the waiters and cooks give their best but that does not mean that it is a good Spanish restaurant.

Tapas! What else? Right in the middle of the city with lots of space, great staff and even better food. The store has been on our list for a long time and what better way than to watch Germany versus Spain at the EM2024 in the restaurant. 😜 The tapas cost 6-9 euros per bowl. Perfect to share and enjoy. Everything from our order tasted good. There are also other specialties on the menu (paella for example), but we haven't tried them.

The food came very quickly, but unfortunately most of it was cold. The tables are so incredibly narrow that you can hardly move. Unfortunately very un-relaxed

We were here with 9 people and it was wonderful. The service was very friendly and was available promptly. The drinks came quickly and so did the food. We can recommend all dishes 100%. We also tried almost everything. The only thing we didn't really like was the Crema Catalana because the icing was very solid. Down in the basement you could also take a look into the kitchen.

Far too expensive for a real dinner, and the restaurant itself was very loud. Service hardly ever comes to the table and barely understands German. The food was otherwise quite good, just really expensive for the small quantities. We were a larger group and things were forgotten or mixed up.

The atmosphere is pleasant and the waiters are quite friendly. Unfortunately, this is below average. Unfortunately there are better tapas shops in Cologne and the surrounding area. The calamari only tastes like fat, the prawns taste like nothing. The Boquerones are quite good. Unfortunately, taste, quantity and price are not in proportion. The first and unfortunately last time. :/

Haven't been there for a long time and still good quality Spanish tapas. The shop is actually always full and this time we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The cocktails are a must. If you like sangria you should try one of several variations here.

The employees were super friendly and nice (there was definitely a well-rehearsed team at work here who also left a great impression with each other). The food was very tasty. I was there for the first time recently. The atmosphere was pleasant, although every single seat in the store and on the terrace was occupied😄 loud, but not disturbing.. Delicious tapas, good service and a varied drinks menu. Always happy☺️

I recommend choosing around 3-5 depending on the tapas. The price-performance ratio is given. The employees are very friendly. And in summer there are a large number of places outside. Actually a nice and cozy restaurant. Unfortunately you don't really feel welcome. We felt like we should eat and drink quickly and then please leave. At some point the bill was placed on the table without a word. The tapas were average. We definitely won't come back.

Location looks nice, our service was spanish and speaks spanish and english. The dissapointing point was the food. First the Sangria was okay, but cost 6,90 per serving. The food was horrific. The bread seemed old, it was cold and a bit hard. On top of that you pay the bread and the dip extra, which is normally for free when ordering Tapas in spain. ( 2,50 for bread and 2,50 for dip, making 5€ in total!) The tapas.... so overall it tasted like procecced warmed up food. The meat balls were nothing like spanish meat balls, but more like german "Frikadelle". Fried sea food was soggy (not crispy) and even the olives were obviously not fresh, but provably from the glass. Per tapas you pay about 6-7€ and you really get nothing for that money, neither in taste nor the amount. For me clearly not recommendable.

The sangria selection is really great, there is a whole menu and everyone tastes really delicious. The Tapeo team is also warm and super nice, we felt totally at home. But I wouldn't recommend it for eating, the portions are really tiny and unfortunately they arrive at the table barely lukewarm after 5 minutes. Unfortunately, the taste is also rather mass-produced. But for drinking sangria with a bit of bread and olives, tiptop!

We were there at 10 p.m. and were asked to go out again because they were already available, even though there were people eating inside and they were supposed to be open until 12 p.m. Very embarrassing for us and very rude.....

I can't quite share the good reviews here. The atmosphere is ok, the tapas taste good - but it's definitely not a "five star kitchen"! Unfortunately, the prices for the sangria and tapas are way too overpriced. If you're hungry, you shouldn't go here - it will be expensive!

It's great 😋 😋 😋, it just tastes like more, but I have to say that for the second time the tortilla was served badly fried and very dry. I won't try it a third time, it's a shame. Everything else about the food we chose was perfect. The only thing that was unfortunate was that there was less space available. Fewer seats would be better, then you would sit more comfortably and you wouldn't have the feeling that the person sitting next to you was sitting on your lap. It is advisable to reserve a table; a spontaneous decision to eat there usually doesn't work. What you should also know is that it's super loud and you can't understand your own words. For a meeting for dinner with friends, yes👍🏻but with conversation, not so much. Veryrrrr friendly and very fast staff. 👍👍👍👍👏 it is definitely recommended. It is expensive, but savings have also been made since the introduction of the 19% VAT. But where is it not expensive! Luckily the food still tastes delicious I always enjoy coming there. Three of us were here on Saturday evening. We made a reservation, but you still had to wait in line, but that wasn't a big deal. We ate tapas as starters, which were at the table very quickly and tasted great. We had already pre-ordered seafood paella in advance. We've all eaten paella several times, including in Spain, and in fact we've never had one this good. The fish, the shrimp, the squid, everything was buttery soft and more than plentiful. The paella was just perfect all around and a large portion. The service was extremely polite and quick. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here too. We'd love to come back! 🥰♥️

Four of us came here from 20-40 km away because of the review, so I'll give my two cents too :) So first of all, the most important thing - the food, I love gourmet food and the tapas here were absolutely delicious! We were really happy because it tasted so good. Tapas itself is varied, but the large selection here was really admirable. Different flavor explosions. The allioli are super delicious, the homemade lemonades - an absolute hit for the price - lots of stuff in them and delicious. We will be back definitely. One point deducted for ambience because of the loudness of the other customers and the lousy parking situation, otherwise the food, staff was tip top!!!!!!

Last visit on February 28, 2024. Parking...difficult. Be sure to reserve a table in advance, unfortunately so far only possible by phone! Very convoluted location and unfortunately very loud when it's full. Ordering food using a “paper with a tally sheet”. The menu is not overloaded, therefore very clear, but there is something for every taste. Actually, all tapas are highly recommended, everyone probably has their favorites (Patatas Bravas!!). Very nice and attentive staff. Tapas were served super quickly and hot. All very tasty. Not exactly cheap in price, but very good quality. I would recommend again at any time!!!

The tapas are very good and plentiful. The waitresses are very quick and always responsive. Since the restaurant is very busy, you tend to get "uncomfortable" seats. You sit close together and the tables are just enough. The many people create an incredible volume. In terms of price, there are also much better tapas bars in Cologne. My tip: If you go to restaurants with slightly fewer reviews, you will quickly find what you are looking for.

We were here for the first time. Completely surprised and extremely amazed. What a location, super beautiful and really original. Super friendly service, extremely hardworking, quick and attentive. Even when there was a huge rush of guests, they were confident and focused, never losing track and being extremely sure which dishes belonged at which table. The food was served quickly and very hot. The taste was beyond anything imaginable. Each one individually, incredibly deliciously prepared and superbly seasoned. No wish remained unfulfilled here. The price-performance ratio and the quality of the food are 100% worth everything. Let yourself be convinced and stop by there. You will be surprised. Let yourself be pampered there, it's worth it.

Simple, typical atmosphere. We tried our way through the menu. All tapas dishes were delicious. Friendly staff. Price-performance is okay.

I found it unreasonably expensive and the Kölsch unfortunately came out lukewarm and stale. I can't understand the positive reviews regarding the service either. They forgot about it and when I came in the card was handed to me without comment. Don't know if you do it that way. A pity

Unglaublich freundliches Personal und das Essen ist hervorragend. Wir haben Sachen probiert, die wir so nie probiert hätten und waren begeistert. Die Cocktails sind perfekt gemixt und die Location ist gemütlich. Musik war gut zu gehören, aber trotzdem nicht so laut, dass man sich anschreien muss. Wir kommen wieder!

Ambiente, schön Service, super Tapas leider nicht gut zum Essen würde ich da nicht hingehen, sonst wunderschöner Laden.
