Taj Tandoori in Offenburg

The food we had was all excellent and the portions were good.

Give this restaurant a wide berth if you have children. With a small child, even though we were the only guests, we were placed in the farthest dark corner, even though there was hardly any room for the child's chair. Even after asking several times, we were not asked whether we could sit at another table. The lunch menu is average, value for money is good. Nevertheless, because it's not child-friendly, I won't be back.

The food wasn't great. Unfortunately it wasn't really warm either... the service was okay.

In terms of decor, I don't really find the restaurant appealing. But the food is excellent. The menu is extensive. There is something for every taste. Vegetarians also get their money's worth. Dogs are now also allowed in, which wasn't the case at first.

We do not speak German and they were very patient with us while we were ordering and asking if they made all sorts of things not on the menu. Taj Tandoori was the recommendation of the hotel. We had the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were delicious. Dishes are delicately seasoned and prepared with love and care. Service is very friendly and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely come back more often if we lived nearby. Taj Tandoori is worth the detour.

My wife and I had dinner at Taj Tandoori yesterday. The food was really very good and filling. My wife ate vegetarian biryani and was completely enchanted by the great mixture of spices that the food consisted of. The food was really rich and delicately seasoned, a real culinary delight. I ate chicken sabzi and I have to say that it tasted great and really tickled my taste buds. The price-performance ratio is also ok, there are large portions and the food is affordable. The service is also good Nice and friendly..all in all it was a good idea to go there to eat..It wasn't the last time we were here..we'd love to go back soon..

One of the best Indian restaurant in Germany, I came with my friends and we tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Also parantha and peshawari naan is a must try in breads.

Food was ok. We were not that much hungry so did not try much food item. Taste was ok. It wad empty on Friday night. Service was also ok. We have been pushed to order more food and even after polite denial, they become rude and really pushy to order more foods.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Swiz, amazing ambience, fresh food, overall it was a great experience. We had mango paneer curry, bread, samosa etc. We really liked the dishes. Our 1 year old broke a plate and the owner was super kind to us, did not charge anything extra and didn’t mind either, loved the hospitality and gesture. Must try!!

Too bad, too bad, too bad. I was just eating here with my mother, some of the starters were forgotten and the main course took a long time to arrive, even though only the terrace was occupied. It's a shame, I was very happy. The food is acceptable for a layman but real Indian is something different and the price/performance ratio is unfortunately not right at all. Tasty Indian Food and service was prompt & excellent!!!!

Very tasty food! I was here with my friend and we ordered a smooth cocktail with the food. We really liked that when we visited the Black Forest again in 8 months, we ordered the same thing!!!! Because it simply tastes so good!!!! The sauce was absolutely delicious!!!!!!

Unfortunately not recommended. I have never eaten such tasteless, untypical Indian food. The sauce was light yellow and tasted predominantly of vegetable broth. Long after this meal, I still had the taste of bouillon cubes in my mouth, something I've never experienced before after Indian food.

Cocktails günstig, aber dafür fertig gemischt und nicht selbst gemacht und dem entsprechend sehr untertourig.

Tasty and delicious Indian food.. we ate 3 dinners here and always left with fat bellies.. located at a walk from the holiday inn express offenburg. My kid really enjoyed there. Paneer dishes were great.. fish salmon masala is a must try.

It's always difficult to recreate indian food outside of India. However, when it comes to indian cuisine in this corner of the globe, I find the food in Taj Tandoori good and freshly made. Service is quick too! We were there two days in a row.

Wirklich unglaublich lecker. War schon bei vielen Indern zum Essen. Dieser ist einer der Besten!!!

Zunächst: Wir lieben indisches Essen! Daher haben wir viele Vergleichsmöglichkeiten - und waren nicht ganz überzeugt. Zwar war die Beratung gut, das Essen selbst aber eher phantasielos gekocht und angerichtet. Die Portionen an sich würde ich als "noch normal" bezeichnen, wenn wir keine Vorspeise gehabt hätten, hätten wir aber definitiv eine "Beilage" zusätzlich bestellen müssen. Die einzige Bedienung war vermutlich der Besitzer selbst; er war sehr am Tresen beschäftigt und vermied sorgfältig den Blickkontakt zu den Gästen - das Nachbestellen von Getränken erforderte einige Eigeninitiative. Die Atmosphäre war insgesamt kühl, keine Musik im Hintergrund, die Gäste flüsterten, vielleicht da man den Eindruck hatte jedes Wort halle wider. Fazit: Für eine schnelle unprätentiöse Mahlzeit geeignet.

Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl dort, das ganze Ambiente ist stimmig, auch der kleine Biergarten bzw Bierveranda im Hinterhof mit Blick auf die Künstler Kommune, immer wieder gerne🥰🥰 essen total 😋 😋 😋

Het eten was heerlijk. Het vlees van de curry was heel zacht en lekker gekruid. Voorgerechtjes zijn ook aan te raden. Aardige mensen die er werken.

Das Essen wird schnell gebracht, es schmeckt hervorragend und die Bedienungen sind auch nett. Preis-Leistung passt auch. Absolute Empfehlung!

Mega leckeres essen. Nur das indische Gedudel/Musik ist nicht so mein Geschmack, aber das ist nicht weiter schlimm. Das essen ist super und die Leute richtig nett, auf das kommt es an. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Bestellte Vorspeisen wurden vergessen, Wartezeiten von 40 min und mehr und künstliche Aromen in lieblos angerichteten Gerichten. Die Hauptgerichte waren lauwarm und man sucht verzweifelt nach der Vielfalt der indischen Küche. Einfach schlecht. Das Restaurant war gut besucht und man fragt sich wie dies sein kann. Eine reine Enttäuschung.

Quando la vedi brutta non puoi chiudere un occhio. Mia moglie ha trovato una puntina nell'antipasto. L'mpassibilità del cameriere /gerente è sconcertante. Senza neanche una scusa a riguardo. Posti così dovrebbero chiudere immediatamente.

Wir haben uns hier Essen abgeholt und waren begeistert. Die Bestellung über das Telefon verlief problemlos und das Essen war bereits fertig, als wir ankamen. Geschmacklich war das Essen durchweg lecker und die Portionen groß. Ein Besuch lässt sich also in meinen Augen definitiv empfehlen.

Die ausgesuchten Speisen kamen schnell und waren lecker. Leider reicht das nicht aus, dass wir wiederkommen. Die Angestellten grüßen weder beim Betreten noch beim Verlassen des Restaurants und sind auch sonst nicht sehr freundlich. Der Tisch wird emotionslos gedeckt und wieder abgeräumt, die am Tisch stehende Kerze erst auf Bitten angezündet.

im letzten Jahr häufig dort gegessen. War immer lecker. Inzwischen ist der Inhaber derart oberflächlich und unfreundlich, dass es schwer fällt gute Laune zu behalten. Zum Glück hat sich die Küche dem Vorbild des Chefs nicht angeschlossen, und liefert nach wie vor ganz leckeres Essen. Wer also gut indisch essen will kann ist hier richtig. Dabei sollte es aber nicht stören vom Chef ignoriert zu werdnen, oder Bestellungen nicht zu bekommen, oder den Tisch bei laufendem Essen abgeräumt zu bekommen, oder keine Getränke zu erhalten.......

Leckeres authentisches indisches Essen. Es gibt aromatische Suppen, Vegetarisches, zartes Lamm. Nur die Atmosphäre ist kühl, das Restaurant meistens recht leer, so dass man sich als Gast etwas verloren vorkommt. Chef und Personal sind herzlich, können das aber leider nicht wettmachen. 5 Sterne fürs Essen, 2 für das Ambiente.

Das Lamm sowie das Veggiegericht waren sehr lecker. Die Atmosphäre sowie der Service waren sehr angenehm. Von uns eine Empfehlung!

Nous sommes venue pour bien manger et nous n avons pas été decu de la qualité de viande du tandori mix. Nous avions accompagné le repas avec une bouteille de rouge d inde qui etait fort en caractere mais agreable une fois plus en temperature. Si je dois critiquer qqc se sera les 2-3 taches sur la nape blanche qui ne sont pas parties au lavage. Ce serait aussi les traces de doigts sur ce joli plafond tendu au niveau de la grille d aeration juste au dessus de nous. Accueil tres sympa et leur sauce verte piment est excellente.(je lui avais demander en plus) Pour 2 pers 60€ vin nane tandori. Nous reviendrons a l occasion.

Wir haben das Taj Tandoori zu viert besucht und hatten eine gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, sowie vier verschiedene Hauptgerichte. Alles hat wirklich super geschmeckt und die Reste konnte man sich einpacken lassen. Auch der Service war sehr gut.

Das erste Mal in einem tandorri Restaurant gewesen. Indisch schon des öfteren. Doch her war alles Superstimmigel. Das Fleisch auf dem Punkt, die Saucen ganz toll abgestimmt, Beilagen so wie sie sein sollten. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.
