Visually it still has GDR charm, but you shouldn't let that fool you. The Indian food is really delicious, and the menu also includes pizza and German dishes. The selection of Indian dishes is very good, vegetarian food is excellent. The service is almost family-like and really friendly. The prices are more than ok, the three of us paid 60 euros, we were all very full and very satisfied. Absolutely recommended! You can also order everything to take away!

When I entered I was briefly irritated: I don't associate dark wall paneling with Asia. For a long time there was no condition but then he was very friendly and quick. The food tasted good.

A small but fine Indian restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome, as we had never eaten Indian food before, the friendly waiter (or owner) recommended a selection of different dishes. As a starter there was a salad plate and naan bread, super fresh and tasty. The main courses were also super delicious, everything fresh and prepared with love. The price-performance ratio was very good, no exorbitant prices, and the food was plentiful We wish the restaurant team all the best.

While looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, we came across the Taj Palace in Teterow. Despite an hour-long drive, it was more than worth the trip! The restaurant is tucked away on a small street in a building that used to be a cozy pub. The interior has been lovingly transformed into an Indian ambience that is inviting and atmospheric - you immediately feel at home. The owner greeted us with a pleasant, unobtrusive friendliness and was very attentive throughout the entire visit. The dishes were exactly as we had hoped: typically Indian, aromatic, spicy and sometimes nice and spicy. Only the typical dips and the naan bread as a starter would have made the waiting time even more pleasant - but you can't have everything! Overall, it was a completely successful visit to the restaurant, which we will certainly repeat soon.

Rajinder Kumar and his wife run this restaurant with a lot of love and hard work! The food was very tasty - freshly cooked. Since service staff are difficult to come by in this area, you should be patient - but the wait is worth it. I can highly recommend the cheese chilli for anyone who likes to eat something spicy/spicy. The menu variety is large - Italian and other types of cuisine are also available. The restaurant was fully booked for the evening. The prices are very fair. The ambience is pleasant, with a bit of an Indian touch. Gladly again!!

We were skeptical at first... inconspicuous restaurant on a one-way street, But we were absolutely positively surprised... Super tasty, not too spicy Indian food... the boss serves very politely and not intrusively... the price is really surprisingly cheap for the food on offer... We'll be happy to come back... .

We enjoyed the food extremely well on three recent visits. The chai tea tastes like the original milk tea in India and Nepal and the naan bread even better. The service is fast and friendly, but the atmosphere alone leaves a little room for improvement. It's clean and tidy, but the "rustic GDR taproom flair" would be a little brighter and a little more modern but more in keeping with the excellent dishes. We still like to come back again and again because the quality of the food is important and it is really very good. Yummy! :)

Rather inconspicuous from the outside and in the style of a classic pub inside, the food and service are terrific! :) We had the homemade samosas and other starters as well as four different main courses. Everything was super tasty and attractively prepared! :) Highly recommended, the price-performance ratio is right here.

Top, the chicken curry is super tasty

Tasted as Indian as a currywurst, salad was like from a chip shop, mayonaise-sugar sauce.

There were 6 of us who ordered there. All dishes (Indian) were far too salty and tasted very similar. I can't say anything about the other products, but I always find it suspicious when everything from burgers, schnitzel, pizza is included...

Always recommended and we really enjoy going there. We always receive a friendly welcome and almost every meal request is fulfilled 🤗 if it's full you have to wait a little longer, but everything is freshly prepared 😋 Price and performance are right! Bon appetit!

We were on holiday in the region and visited the restaurant based on the reviews. At the beginning we were a bit surprised by the furnishings, as they seemed to have been taken over from the previous restaurant and were more reminiscent of typical German cuisine. The menu was also very extensive with Indian, but also Italian and German cuisine. We chose Indian and can only report positive things. Even better: we went there a second time and this time we chose pizza. This is also recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

I arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant closed. I was patiently served and given a super delicious meal that tasted very authentically Indian. I would love to come back and can absolutely recommend this restaurant

This was our second time eating at the Taj Palace. The owner is super friendly. The dishes are traditional, fresh and always well seasoned. The ambience doesn't quite fit an Indian restaurant, but the food and friendliness make up for it. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.

The food was quite good, slightly small portions. The service was friendly, it took a little long for the drinks to arrive even though there was only one couple left. The menu is very extensive, I can't understand why an Indian restaurant also offers German, Italian and Greek dishes 🤔

Unser erster Besuch hat uns klasse gefallen! Das Ambiente war sehr gut, das Essen war einfach klasse, die Bedienung war auch sehr sehr gut. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Klasse, weiter so. Und wir werden bestimmt noch mehrmals vorbeikommen.

Zum abholen bestellt. Essen war schnell zubereitet, warm und die Bedienung super nett. Indisches Essen welches auch mal nach solchem geschmeckt hat. Pizza und Calzone ist ebenfalls gut 👌🏻.

Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen. Der Chef hat persönlich bedient und ist sehr freundlich. Authentisches Essen, gekocht von seiner Frau. Ein sympathisches Familienunternehmen. Öffnungszeiten bis 22 Uhr, während alle anderen in der Umgebung schon früher schließen. Allerdings keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Die Karte ist recht groß, was wahrscheinlich daran liegt, dass versucht wird, alle Geschmäcker zu bedienen und breit aufgestellt zu sein. Deutsches Essen von der Karte haben wir nicht probiert, aber wer indisch essen möchte, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Ebenso gute Lage mitten in der Innenstadt in einem schönen Gebäude. Zu zweit haben wir 43 Euro bezahlt (einmal Naan, zwei Hauptgerichte, Getränke), für gutes Essen und entsprechende Qualität alles andere als teuer. Außerdem war es im Restaurant sehr sauber.

Also das Essen war Mega lecker, alles selbst gemacht und alles frisch…essen wird am Tisch warmgehalten und der Service ist auch super, Speisekarte hat eine große Auswahl..Wartezeit ist angenehm …nur zu empfehlen . Mein neues Lieblingsrestaurant .

Der Innenraum überrascht durch eine Einrichtung eines gut bürgerlichen deutschen Restaurants welches man vergeblich versucht hat durch indische Deko und indische Musik indisch wirken zu lassen. Gleichzeitig bietet das Restaurant offensichtlich einen Abholservice, was dafür sorgt, dass ständig Personen kommen und gehen, was für eine gewisse Unruhe sorgt. Die Speisekarte biete so ziemlich alles, vom Pizza über Schnitzel bis eben indischen Gerichten. Bei eine solch riesigen Auswahl ist klar, dass nicht alles frisch zubereitet werden kann. Die Wartezeite auf das Essen trotz weniger anderer Gäste war extrem lang, ca. 45 Minuten. Die Qualität des Essens war okay, wenn auch nicht außergewöhnlich. Zu Nan-Brot wurde kein Dip gereicht. Ich würde hier nur wieder essen wenn es keine Alternative gibt...

Hervorragendes indisches Essen und der Service sehr sehr freundlich. Wir hätten nicht gedacht, in so einer kleinen Stadt so frische und gute indische Gerichte zu finden. Viele Dank!

Wir haben jetzt hier schon des Öfteren gegessen, wenn wir in der Gegend waren. Bisher hatten wir immer etwas Indisches. Alles war sehr, sehr lecker. Auch das Nasenbrot ist sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service ist immer ausgesprochen freundlich. Wenn es sehr voll ist, kann es etwas länger dauern. Aber es lohnt sich. Vorweg gibt es einen kleinen Salat. Auch der ist frisch und sehr lecker 😋
