Great little restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and super-friendly service. The food was very tasty and came super quickly. When we raved about the cream cheese and asked where we could buy it for our private household, we were even offered the opportunity to take some with us.

Addendum: The boss read the recession and just approached me about getting a changing table. Was eating here for the first time. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's very family-like. You don't feel like you're being worked through but rather you feel like you're a guest. Questions are answered very kindly. German language is also available here and in an understandable way. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and super clean - as are the toilets. Unfortunately there is no changing table. We felt super comfortable and would love to come back 🫶🏻

The duck is highly recommended. The dessert, which comes with boiling chocolate, is highly recommended. We would love to come back 🔥

Very nice Indian atmosphere. The service was very nice and I can highly recommend the chicken with coconut mint sauce. The prices are fair. The mango beer was also very refreshing and something I hadn't experienced before. Gladly again :)

Very friendly service and extremely tasty food

It's nice to sit on the terrace and the staff is very nice. Of course you can argue about taste - but we as Indian fans who have eaten Indian food dozens of times around the world, including in India itself, were unfortunately not at all convinced by the taste of the two dishes. Unfortunately the 4.6 stars misled us.

The food was very, very tasty. And the service was very friendly. It was a friend's birthday and she received a small cake and a table fountain. The visit was really very nice. I will eat there again :)

We went out to dinner with a larger birthday party and everyone was absolutely thrilled. The food was absolutely delicious, the waiters were absolutely authentic and the atmosphere was just as you would imagine India - beautifully colorful. It was a great experience all around, we'd love to come back!

We are Berliners and already know some good Indian restaurants. Were here for the first time and we really enjoyed it. The service was very polite and personable, but not intrusive. The food was great, all the sauces tasted different and the food came very quickly. We'd love to come back!

Super friendly service. The atmosphere is so beautifully colorful. Very clean restaurant. There is a pleasant smell of Indian cuisine when you enter. There is a large covered terrace with a view of the Neustrelitz tower. So very centrally located with good paid parking in front of the door. We decided on lunch/lunch. The food was fantastic. Beautifully prepared and really tasty. Price/performance perfect. Plus a nice conversation with the friendly waiter! Highly recommended!!! We would be happy to be guests there again on our next visit to Neustrelitz

Fast and friendly. Indian wine is in no way inferior to German Riesling. Unfortunately ordered spicy, but none of it. With 3 chillies on the menu?

We actually wanted to eat Greek... but ended up in the Taj Mahal, which turned out to be very tasty. The variety of dishes to choose from makes it not easy to decide. Still inexperienced in Indian cuisine, I ordered a Mango Lasshi, a yoghurt drink with mango (very delicious!!) and Chicken Thali, chicken with three different sauces, two dips, one sweet and one spicy, delicious airy rice 🍚 and one very slightly sweet Bread, which is really tasty when dipped in the sauces. The sauces all had a similar consistency, but were different in terms of taste, color and ingredients and I found them all delicious, although one was perhaps a little tastier...😄 I thought there was plenty of meat too... The portion overall was extremely generous! The service was quick, but we were given time to decide in peace and then place our order. I thought it was nice that the candle was lit along with a little saying about romance. This is often overlooked. We didn't have to wait long for the food we ordered. Questions were answered and during the meal we were asked briefly whether everything was OK and whether the food was tasty. Friendly, but never intrusive! The tables in the guest room - unfortunately the terrace facing the square in front of the large church in Neustrelitz was already full - are covered with traditional table runners, which makes the room cozy and elegant. However, the guest room as a whole is bright and not overly decorated, but only discreetly, which I personally liked. But that's a matter of taste... and as we all know, there's no arguing about that 😜. If I lived here, I would like to come back, but I can recommend it to others.: Food delicious, service friendly, value for money completely okay, please keep it up

Tasty food and friendly, attentive service. The three of us were at the Taj Mahal today and were able to enjoy very tasty dishes there: Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Makni, Paneer Fiszelt. We also had three types of naan and a mango lassi each - an absolute highlight. We really liked the service and also the extremely friendly gentlemen - courteous and very keen to ensure that we didn't miss anything. We had a wonderful evening and would love to come back.

Unfortunately, some starters were not available, my glass was not clean, the Bathura we ordered only came after we had finished eating and tasted like nothing. The dishes were mixed, my lamb korma was far too sweet, more like a dessert. And it's way too expensive for that! I think we won't come back.

The service was really great. The vegan dish was prepared fresh and delicious. The offer is very diverse. The starter (pakora) was unfortunately quite poor and the sauces could be improved: a weak mint sauce (not vegan), an extremely hot sauce and a red one that was rather poor. So there wasn't really a choice for us. We would also like to see vegan bhatura available - it's not difficult. There are five stars overall because of the service and the large selection of vegan dishes.

The food and location are great! We spontaneously went to the Taj Mahal because the Querbeet was closed and are absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back. The treatment is warm and the food is really great. For me and my wife, it was the first time that we found an Indian with a thali on the menu in Germany. We can only recommend coming here and especially enjoying the variety of food. We will definitely recommend family and friends to eat here. Thanks to the restaurant!

Great food and courteous service. The thali dishes are particularly recommended because you have different flavors on one plate. The “butter-tomato-cream sauce” is simply awesome.

The Taj Mahal is definitely recommended. Already on the second visit we were recognized and welcomed like regular guests. The staff is very friendly and responds to the guests' wishes. There is always time for a personal conversation. The menu is very extensive and offers something for every taste. We (usually three) always order different dishes and everyone tries everything. Everything tastes wonderful. Above all, the dishes are not “over-seasoned”. If you want something spicier, you can also find something on the menu or say so when ordering. The price/performance ratio is okay. Approximately 25-30 euros per person including starter and drinks. We really like the outdoor area, which is beautifully decorated and where you can sit even when it rains. In any case you should make a reservation. Unfortunately we don't live in Neustrelitz, otherwise we would come more often. Every time you stay there, a visit to the Taj Mahal is planned. Thanks to the service and kitchen team.

On our first visit to the Taj Mahal at lunchtime (as the only guests) the service actually took a while. And our four dishes didn't come correctly the first time they were served. We ordered Thali, where you can try a lot of different flavors. However, the expected explosion of taste did not materialize... But since the dishes were all in all very tasty, the service was really attentive and the decoration created a special ambience, we will definitely try it again.

As was the case last year, a visit to the restaurant at the Taj Mahal was a delicious temptation. The hospitality was attentive, quick and courteous. The food tasted very good, was plentiful and beautifully prepared. From arrival to appetizer, main course and dessert to payment it only took us an hour, even though the restaurant was full of guests. We will be very happy to come back.

The food here is also very tasty - I don't want to say it isn't, but I've eaten Indian food many times and never has it been so mildly spiced. So, many Indian restaurants even have levels of spiciness that you can order. When I go out for Indian food I look forward to a spice explosion and that's not the case. One star deducted for that. However, the map is beautifully diverse and extensive. The service is very good and the staff is very nice. The ambience is excellent. A transparent canopy was installed for the outdoor area so that all tables can be used even when it rains AND the beautiful, typically Indian, colorful decoration can remain outside and is not quickly faded or damaged by sun and rain. We felt very comfortable - I can recommend the restaurant and would order a little more spice for the table next time.

Our first visit to the Taj Mahal restaurant in Neustrelitz was a very positive experience. In the head of the restaurant we had a very careful and professional service person who we only have positive things to say about. The ambience has a charming Indian touch, especially in the outdoor area. There are already some pleasant accents in the interior, but here you can achieve even more coziness through decor and color schemes. There are only good things to say about the food. Price-performance ratio is right and the different spices create a varied enjoyment. If you are coming with several people, it is recommended to order different dishes in order to be able to take as many taste experiences with you as possible.

If you want authentic Indian food, you should go to Berlin (or India). Food was acceptable, service I found unpleasantly accommodating. I won't go there anymore. But I think the decoration is very special and beautiful, it makes a difference in the dull Neustrelitz market square! Thanks for that:)

The price-performance ratio is not good. The food is not warm enough and the meat has to be searched for. Only after asking for an invoice three times was there a response. Payment should be made without an invoice . That is not how it works

People like to go there to eat and feel welcome there. Have been there a few times and have been very satisfied every time. Friendly service, quick preparation, tasty food and a large selection of drinks. The atmosphere could be a little more Indian but everything is good. I can recommend lamb and the mango dessert. The mango beer and the Indian beer are also special and taste good. Feel free to come by again.

Really authentic Indian food. The dishes use spices I recognised from trips to India and it’s different and much better than the standard Indian food you usually get in Germany. The staff was really kind, portions were huge and the atmosphere was nice.

Four of us had dinner at the Taj Mahal. After a friendly one We were greeted and immediately assigned a table and given the menu. The selection is very large. We chose a starter plate for 4 people. There is also Indian beer. My Chicken Madras was good, the spiciness was okay, the rice was very good. Overall, good value for money and good products. There was also a lychee liqueur to say goodbye. I'll be back ...

In my opinion one of the best restaurants in the area. Our food (8 visits so far) was always wonderfully prepared and was completely satisfactory and even happy in terms of quality and taste. The service has always been friendly and accommodating. All in all a successful experience to be pampered with culinary delights here.

We ate there today and had a delicious meal. The price/performance ratio (lunch) is excellent and the service is excellent. If we are in Neustrelitz again, we would love to come back!

We had four different meals, three looked exactly the same, only one grill pan looked different. I didn't like the atmosphere, it looked like a circus. It was our second visit, it was a little more organized than the first time. It probably won't be my restaurant, but that's purely a personal opinion.

The dining room is tastelessly filled with tables, so you almost sit on your neighbor's lap and it creates a nice canteen atmosphere. The employees didn't bat an eyelid, we didn't feel any friendliness or even hospitality. The food is just put there. In terms of taste, this has as much to do with Indian food as “Chinese pan” has to do with China. You can imagine the whole thing like this: dry meat that is probably pre-cooked in a combi steamer and then covered with the few sauces to choose from, which all taste almost the same anyway. It doesn't matter whether it's a grill plate or something else - the same basic ingredients everywhere (grilled) and then a dollop of coconut milk, spinach or mango sauce is added, that should make the difference. This has nothing to do with the sophisticated, finely tuned, versatile Indian cuisine. With a few side dishes that are usually included elsewhere (naan, raita, etc.) and 2 drinks, it ended up being 70 euros for 2 people. Thank you, not again. You're better served with a glass of Curry Madras from the supermarket.

An expensive and rather mediocre Indian for the area. The service is inattentive and rude in a way that is hard to beat. Unfortunately I had to have this experience twice, so it was no coincidence.
