Kleines indisches Restaurant in der Provinz. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, das Essen eher durchschnittlich. Das Chicken war, obwohl als scharf gekennzeichnet, eher mild. In Berlin und London habe ich schon deutlich besseres indisches Essen bekommen. Auch unser indischer Freund kocht besser. Wer also milde Speisen mag, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Parkplätze findet man auf dem Marktplatz. Bezahlen nicht vergessen

Super nettes Personal. Essen war super lecker, aber bisschen wenig. Danach hatte ich noch Hunger.

Leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir durften den Hund mit rein nehmen, wurden gleich zum Tisch gebracht und die Getränke sowie das Essen kamen recht schnell. Ich hatte mir das Huhn mit Kichererbsen und Ingwer etwas schärfer vorgeste; aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Dazu gab es Reis und Naan.

Super lockerer Inder ,sehr zuvorkommend,gepaart, mit genau der richtigen Zurückhaltung. Echte Freundlichkeit. Kein Fake Smile. Essen war super. 100% zu empfehlen.

Wir waren spontan mit sechs Personen ohne Reservierung im Taj Mahal und wurden sofort herzlich empfangen. Trotz der Größe unserer Gruppe hat man uns mit einer beeindruckenden Gelassenheit und Freundlichkeit einen Platz organisiert. Die Atmosphäre war warm, einladend und von echter Gastfreundschaft geprägt. Das Essen war hervorragend: aromatisch, frisch und unglaublich großzügig portioniert. Es wurde so viel aufgetischt, dass wir fast dachten, wir würden es nicht schaffen — umso schöner war der Moment, als das Team uns mit einem Lächeln dafür gelobt hat, dass wir alles aufgegessen haben. Man hat richtig gemerkt, wie viel Freude sie daran hatten, dass uns ihre Küche so gut schmeckt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir, wie selbstverständlich auf die Spezialwünsche meiner Mutter eingegangen wurde. Ohne Diskussion, ohne Hektik — einfach freundlich, flexibel und mit dem Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein. Ein rundum gelungener Abend, der uns nicht nur kulinarisch, sondern auch menschlich begeistert hat. Das Taj Mahal ist ein Ort, an den wir sehr gern zurückkehren.

Ich habe Heute über Lieferando bei Taj Mahal bestellt da ich Indisches Essen sehr mag und ich mal das Restaurant hier probieren wollte aber keine Zeit hatte um es persönlich zu besuchen. Ich habe mir 2 Chicken Gerichte gekauft und einmal Garlic Naan. Das Essen kam schnell an aber der Lieferant musste mir mitteilen das dass Naan Brot vergessen wurde, er hatte mich daraufhin gefragt ob es okay sei wenn er mir das Geld dafür zurückerstattet was ich natürlich trotz es gerne probiert zu haben da ich es noch nie getestet hatte bejaht habe da ich ihm keine Komplikationen machen wollte. Er gab mir 5 Euro und als ich wieder in meiner Wohnung war stellte ich fest das dass Naan Brot mehr als 5 Euro gekostet hatte, selbst wenn es nur 90 Cent waren und ich eigentlich nicht der Mensch bin der sich wegen sowas beschwert finde ich es doch sehr schade weil ich auch dem Fahrer über Lieferando Trinkgeld gegeben hatte und mich eben auf Essen gefreut hatte. Trotzdem war das Chicken Butter Sehr gut und das Curry Chicken auch ganz okay.

Ein absolut fantastisches Restaurant. Man wird mit einem Lächeln empfangen, Extrawünsche werden beachtet, man bekommt schnell leckeres Essen und die Preise sind absolut angemessen. In Neustrelitz einen Besuch wert. Das Taj Mahal ist zentral am Marktplatz gelegen, aber man ist sitzt auf dem Balkon draußen trotzdem etwas für sich. Ich war Sonntag Mittag mit wenig Zeit in meiner Mittagspause da und habe innerhalb von drei Minuten mein Essen bekommen. Außerdem gab es noch ein Getränk dazu. Ich fühle mich hier absolut wohl und habe dasselbe auch von Bekannten gehört. Große Empfehlung.

Wir haben uns das essen liefern lassen. Geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut, jetzt kommt das große ABER: -Um 15 Uhr zu 18 Uhr bestellt. Essen kam um 18.40 Uhr. Ok Kann passieren. -Keine Styroporbox zum warmhalten im Auto nur die lose Lieferando Tüte. -Portionsgröße passt absolut nicht zum Preis. Fast 20 Euro für eine kleine Aluschale wovon die Hälfte Reis ist. Vllt sollte man nicht die Restaurant Preise für den Lieferservice nutzen? -Von 4 bestellten Artikeln hat auch noch einer gefehlt. Sollte eigentlich nicht so schwer sein eine Bestellung zu kontrollieren. Letzte Mal dort bestellt...

So authentische indische Küche direkt am Marktplatz von Neustrelitz haben wir gar nicht erwartet. Die Jungs im Service waren sehr nett und es herrschte den ganzen Abend eine familiäre und sehr gut Atmosphäre. Wir waren am Ende richtig vollgefuttert, sodass wir erstmal einen Spaziergang zur Verdauung machen mussten. 😅 Wir kommen wieder!

Das Restaurant ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Auswahl ist groß und ich will unbedingt wiederkommen um noch mehr zu probieren. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Hier ist als erstes der sehr gute Service zu nennen, selbst wenn das Restaurant voll belegt ist, bleibt noch Zeit für ein kurzes persönliches Gespräch. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und preislich angemessen. Ich kann hier eine Empfehlung aussprechen.

Der Besitzer hat eine lockere Art auf Augenhöhe. Wir gehen hier immer essen wenn wir in Neustrelitz sind. Das Deutsch vom Kellner wird immer besser und das Essen immer kreativer. Klare Empfehlung

Beim ersten Besuch dieses indischen Restsurants fiel uns die Sauberkeit in allen Bereichen, Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit auf. Das Essen und der Tee waren sehr heiss ( so wie es sein sollte) und schmackhaft. Ein Beispiel für Gastronomie! Immer wieder gern und eine tolle Empfehlung.

The food is absolutely delicious. My husband, who likes spicy food, gets just as much as he wants, as do I, who prefer less spicy food. Today wasn't our first visit, and it won't be our last. This time we both had lamb korma, and what can I say? Fantastic!!! The meat was incredibly tender in an absolutely delicious sauce, so I couldn't help but wipe both the plate and the bowl with the flatbread, and now I'm practically in a food coma. The mango lassi is also absolutely delicious. We highly recommend Taj Magal—and have done so many times and have received nothing but positive feedback.

We had reserved a table for a group, but apparently there was a misunderstanding in communication, so nothing was prepared when we arrived. However, once the owner arrived, everything ran smoothly, and we were all very pleased—both with the quality of the food and the warm hospitality. The great selection of vegan dishes was particularly nice, and they even made an impromptu vegan dessert! Despite the initial difficulties—highly recommended!

The food was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is also completely acceptable. They just need to work on the service (or rather, the waitressing). There were four of us, and even though someone was still eating, the table was already completely cleared. Even the rice bowl was taken away, with some left in it, and someone ate something else. The staff seems to dictate when to close, even though no table was needed immediately.

Despite the market being held, we went to the Taj Mahal. We chose dishes from the regular menu. The food was very tasty. The service was very good, which resulted in a small, but very tasty, adjustment. It's just a shame that the small chickpea flatbreads with their many dips are no longer standard and require an extra charge. All in all, highly recommended.

You can order Indian-style hot, but it's usually mild to moderately hot. My comment was addressed and the dish was increased, but it was still far from Indian-style hot. Apparently, they don't dare serve the original spiciness. It's best to order the chili oil for €1.95, so you can add more spice. Very friendly service, good beer selection, and a nice atmosphere on the terrace.

We were here on vacation and were able to take advantage of the lunch menu at extremely reasonable prices. The portions were generous, the food delicious and beautifully presented, and the service friendly and attentive. Despite the rain, the glass conservatory construction allowed us to watch the hustle and bustle of the market square outside in a cozy and dry atmosphere. If we ever find ourselves in Neustrelitz again, this would be our first choice for a restaurant visit.

The vegetarian platter is enough for three and was sooo delicious!

We were thrilled last week, and today again. We had three different paneer dishes, and all three were delicious in their own way! The food feels absolutely handmade. The herbal lassi with various spices was also somehow different from what I've usually had and truly delicious! The ambiance at the market is very classic, yet still has the Indian charm you'd expect. The chef is very nice (I suspect), and he perfectly accommodated and compensated for minor service glitches. Not everyone can do that with such smartness and friendliness. We look forward to the next time.

I was here for the first time at lunchtime (lunch menu available until 2 p.m. for €7.90), but unfortunately it wasn't what you'd expect from Indian cuisine (colorful, spicy, bursting with flavor). The food was cheap, but it didn't live up to its promise... small portions, not very well decorated, and rather poorly cooked/spicy when ordered. You should specify the amount of drinks, otherwise you automatically get 0.4 l (in this case, unfortunately, a draught beer), for €4.90... phew. I wanted to try the restaurant at least once, as the normal prices are too high for me, but there is one positive: the staff are super friendly and accommodating!

Authentic Indian cuisine in a beautiful setting. If you like Indian food, you'll love the Taj Mahal in Neustrelitz. The dishes are excellently seasoned. The service is prompt, polite, and courteous. Inquiries are answered patiently. After ordering, you don't have to wait long for your food – for us, it took about 15 minutes. When the main courses are brought to the table in small bowls, you might initially think that such a small portion would never fill you up, but let us tell you: you'd be wrong! Combined with the really good rice, you'll end up stuffed. By the way, it's most fun when you go out to eat with several people, everyone orders something different and then happily swaps things around. This makes it easier to sample the very extensive menu. Reservations are recommended, even during the week. The restaurant isn't particularly large. However, when the weather is nice, you can sit on the large terrace and enjoy the view of the market square and the town church.

We were on our way from Berlin to Rostock and were looking for a restaurant for the evening. Based on the positive reviews, we decided on the Taj Mahal. We had a wonderful evening; we hadn't found such delicious Indian food in Berlin before. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to special requests. The value for money here is truly excellent, and we definitely have to come back.

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered chicken korma, my favorite dish that I know from England, but it didn't taste like it should at all. The sauce was neither sweet nor creamy, but had a tart taste. The chicken had an unusual, almost musty-nutty flavor, as if it had been marinated in something beforehand. The basmati rice was dry and contained cloves and peppercorns - something I don't know from authentic Indian cuisine. The naan bread was also a big disappointment: way too thin, dry and more like a crispy pizza than the fluffy, flavorful naan you would otherwise expect. In England you can get authentic Indian food almost everywhere, so I was hoping to find something similar here. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I will not visit this restaurant again. However, the service was fine - friendly and attentive. There's nothing wrong with that.

TOP! Everything just fit. Very friendly, family hospitality, delicious food and the atmosphere is typically Indian, colorful, unusual and lovingly furnished. There aren't many tables inside, so make reservations to be on the safe side. We were already there on the recommendation of hotel staff and now we can only warmly recommend it.
