Fast service and we enjoyed the food, the portion could have been a bit bigger, the background music was a bit too loud, but otherwise there was nothing to criticize

A lovely restaurant with a small outdoor area, and very friendly owners. The quality and quantity of our dishes were absolutely fine, and all at fair prices. The chili chicken tasted almost like a Chinese dish ('sweet and sour pork'); a bit more Indian cuisine would have been nice here.

We live in Templin and go to this Indian restaurant every now and then. The food is simply delicious. Anyone who knows anything about Indian cuisine will certainly confirm this. We are a group of five people with five different tastes, from spicy to mild and vegan, and everyone can find something they like. Everyone is always satisfied. You can really tell that the chef here is actually cooking the food, not just reheating it. If you like Indian food, you should try it for yourself.

The okra scampi and butter chicken were excellent. The service was extremely friendly.

Very, very delicious food. We had various pakoras and vegetarian dishes – all delicious. The lentil soup was heavenly. The waiter was super friendly. I can't remember ever having such delicious Indian food in Germany. Highly recommended!

I usually don't post reviews but this time I will do for sure ! The food is literally 10/10 .I tried their butter chicken today and oh mann I simply loved it . The spices and flavor are really balanced! Also a big thank you to their staff who advised me to try butter chicken as at first I wasn't really sure what to try! Also, 10/10 for the service as they were really quick and welcoming ! Furthermore, I forgot to take a photo as I was in a hurry !! If you are visiting berlin like me do give it a try as I'm gonna visit this restaurant again next time .❤️

Authentic Indian restaurant, many options on the menu, everything is delicious and the service is very friendly.

Food was good and tasty. The ambience was acceptable. You have to make compromises on some things, such as the tablecloths. They are made of oilcloth, if you used white ones you would never get the stains from the curry sauce out. The waiter gave everything and also had a solution for special requests. The prices are reasonable, if I ever come to Templin again, I will stop there again.

I've been there so many times now. I go there almost every weekend to eat with friends or order something to pick up. I love it. It tastes so incredibly good and the prices are great. Try the 74, the chicken is so tender. I can only recommend it!!

We had a really good lunch. (Duck and fish) The vegetables were al dente, the rice was light. The sauces were well balanced. The guest room is a bit dark. Good staff. March 23, 2025 I can only underline my first review. We also had a really delicious meal today. Keep it up

We visited Templin at the weekend and ate at the Taj Mahal again. A really pleasant restaurant in a rural area, centrally located on the Templin market square. Particularly noteworthy are the friendly owners and of course the great, tasty traditional Indian dishes. Always happy again.

I'm in seventh heaven. The food is heavenly, divine, I'm at a loss for words. It was the perfect culmination of a long walk around the Templin city lake, partly with a headlamp. I feel like I'm having the first and last supper at the same time. It tastes like I've never eaten anything in my life until that moment. We ordered: vegetarian okra, mango paneer, aloo palak and shahi bengan. And mango beer. We will also order (perhaps our waiter will see this) mulled wine with amaretto €4.50 and cheese naan. Truly magical! This food is so good it must be illegal. Come back tomorrow! We're looking forward to it. Exactly the same action again, but with five people. Thanks and all the best

I'm a person who doesn't like to give bad reviews to restaurants because I'm a chef myself and I know that running a restaurant isn't easy. However, based on what I experienced today at the Taj Mahal Templin, I came to the decision that I have to comment on today's food in order to possibly protect other guests from the restaurant. Me and my son ordered 2 lunch menus today with duck and chicken, my son chose the dish with chicken, after he ate the first piece of chicken he spat out the piece and said it tasted strange and that's right, I thought that was him exaggerated, as is sometimes the case with children, but then I tried another piece and it was disgusting! I spoke quietly to the waiter and advised them not to offer the dish to other guests. He offered us another dish and we had enough of the kitchen and thanked him! The coronation came at the end when we received the bill, we had to pay for both dishes, when I told the waiter that it wasn't fair to pay for something that wasn't edible, he shrugged his shoulder and said we had to pay! I didn't want to argue about €7.50 and paid him the entire bill. The health department has already been informed.

The boss is very nice and also cares about the others. The food was a little too spicy for me and when I told the boss he immediately gave me a mango juice Gabor 12 years

Food tasty Service sometimes slow but friendly

Not really Indian cuisine. Poorly seasoned. Butter Chicken bland cooked chicken in diluted tomato sauce.

The food was ok, a bit very understated for my taste. The ambience needs to be worked on, as well as the condition of the toilets.

We ended up here because we relied on Google reviews. Unfortunately we didn't find any of it again. The ambience has the charm of a 90s fast food restaurant with rubber tablecloths. The food was a negative hit. The rice had brown, soft grains, which can only be attributed to insufficient cleanliness or reheating. The rice also smelled musty and not like the fragrant rice you would expect from Indian restaurants. In the case of the chicken dishes, the meat was not cooked through and was pink inside. The jog tea tastes like a bad powder cappuccino. We called the staff several times and had to discuss with them that this was not normal. Instead of apologizing and re-preparing the dishes, he washed his hands of his innocence. The result was a lot left over on the plates that we couldn't eat, a bill of almost €80, where the drinks we ordered were also incorrectly calculated. I don't know how this restaurant gets a 4.5 star rating with over 450 reviews when other good restaurants in the area have just over 100 and are actually much better. Please be careful and don't be blinded.

A very nice little restaurant, I was just here to have a drink. I find the price of the coffee very expensive. The size of it was a double espresso, and I paid €3.10 for it. I found the remaining prices for the drinks reasonable.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food, but it was still delicious. Service is quick. Coziness alone isn't enough in the guest room, so one star is deducted. It depends on the space itself, no matter which operator has already run their restaurant in these rooms, no one has ever achieved this feat. 2 years later, I've already eaten my way through your menu, but there's still room for improvement on my part. Thank you for this wonderful insight into Indian culture, both the food and the service from the staff were simply great, I have never had such good duck with curry, and anyone who goes to this shop must definitely try the Batura bread Dip it in the sauce that comes with the meal, because it tastes absolutely delicious. I can only recommend it, it was the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at, the staff, the waiters served us very nicely and created a good atmosphere , Price was absolutely good for the quality, 10 out of 10 store, definitely try it if possible!

We were welcomed as hospitably as if we were a family friend! The food was authentic Indian and delicious! It stands up to any comparison with Hamburg or Berlin. And the salty lassi, Hmmm so delicious!

We come back to Templin every year and regularly go to the Taj Mahal. This time too and, despite the change of ownership, we know again why we like being there: A wonderful Indian cuisine, exciting dishes with well-known and exotic spices, fresh ingredients, a large selection of different dishes typical of the country. The menu is very informative, including the spiciness of the dishes and individual requests are taken into account. The service is nice and one thing is clear: We will stop there again on our next visit to Templin. All the best

Totally nice hosts. We took great care to ensure that everything was in order. The food was very tasty, the price was totally reasonable and even though we came hungry, the portions were so big that we had to have the food packed up.

The food was very bad and the staff wasn't attentive or tried hard. It is not recommended to eat there. No fresh ingredients were used at all and it was way too spicy even though that wasn't pointed out. It was just rehashing something old. Even the rice was completely dry.

I've been to Templin many times and one address I almost always go to is the Taj Mahal. The food is really good. There is a wide selection and everyone should find something. You actually park right in front of the door. You can sit outside, but it's a bit windy. The prices have increased significantly over the years. But it's still possible. However, a Yogi tea is more expensive than a large cola!

Die Räumlichkeiten sind mit wenig Atmosphäre, Plastetischdecken und ein großer Raum... wenig schön. Auch gibt es weder vor dem Essen einen Begrüßungssnack und nach dem Essen den. MANGOschnaps. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich. Das von uns bestellte Essen war sehr gut. Um schnell was zu essen, ist es o.k. Um einen gemütlichen Abend zu erleben, würde ich woanders einkehren.

Vegane Gerichte sind nicht angeschrieben. Wenn man versucht es sich durch die Allergenliste zusammenzureimen, bekommt man plötzlich doch Jogurtsoße (in einem extragefäß zu den Beilagen & Vorspeisen). Dennoch war die 49 sehr lecker und Vegan.

Das Essen war mega lecker und sehr gut zubereitet. Ich war zweimal kurz nacheinander dort und habe nie lange auf das Essen gewartet. Komplett voll war es an diesen Tagen aber auch nicht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente draußen war echt ok. Preis Leistung sind auch definitiv in Ordnung. Ich werde dort wohl noch öfters speisen.
