Es war so ein entspanntes und ruhiges Ambiente, das Essen war hervorragend gut und der Service war eine 10/10. Werde aufjedenfall wiederkommen!

Wir haben heute echtes Indisches Streetfood auf Bestellung serviert bekommen. Sehr lecker alles. Bester Service, toller Chef, super leckeres Essen kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Der sehr nette Restaurantbesitzer war überaus zuvorkommend und schenkte uns sogar indischen Tee. Es war eines der besten Restaurant-Erlebnisse, die ich je hatte.

Sehr hübsches Lokal mit schattigem Gastgarten. Sehr umfangreiche Speisekarte mit Mittagsmenüs, alles köstlich und stilvoll serviert. Sehr nettes Service. Sehr sauber, WC mit Wickeltisch. Ein Lieblings-Pausen-Stopp auf Reisen, weil so nahe an der Autobahn gelegen.😁

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön, das Ambiente ist wirklich toll! Der Service war perfekt und das Essen lecker! Ich kann es absolut weiterempfehlen. Das Pani Puri war auch sehr gut! Absolut empfehlenswert! Dhillon Singh war unser Kellner – perfekt und sehr höflich!

Ich war das erste Mal im Taj, aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Auch ohne Reservierung erhielt ich am Muttertag einen schönen Tisch im Außenbereich unter den Bäumen. Ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Ok, die Hauptstraße ist nahe, das tut der Sache keinen Abbruch. Schon gar nicht am Wochenende. Die Karte wurde schnell gebracht und der erste Getränkewunsch aufgenommen. Leider dauerte es einige Zeit, bis der Kellner mit dem Getränk und zur Essensaufnahme kam. Dies dürfte aber der Fülle des Restaurants geschuldet gewesen sein und ist überhaupt kein Problem. Die vorab gereichten Papadams waren köstlich, die Saucen dazu wirklich gut. Da ich ein Freund der indischen Küche und deren Würzart ("es muss brennen") bin, bestellte ich Mulktani Shorba (ausgeschrieben als "scharf") und Chili Chicken ("sehr scharf") nicht ohne dem Ober mit auf den Weg zu geben, der Koch möge keinerlei Zurückhaltung walten lassen. Ich bestellte folglich "indisch scharf". Die Suppe war geschmacklich ein Traum. Fein gewürzt, ein ordentlicher Anteil an Hühnchen und eben durchaus scharf. Für den Einstieg super und machte Lust auf mehr. Das Chili Chicken war ebenfalls geschmacklich toll und reichlich, für mich aber leider etwas zu "unscharf". Ich war etwas enttäuscht, aber dann brachte man mir eine hausgemachte Chilisauce zum nachschärfen und was soll ich sagen. Damit wurde es perfekt, ohne den Grundgeschmack zu ruinieren. Genau wie ich es mag. Insgesamt muss man sagen, es war ein gelungenes und authentisches indisches Essen zu einem wirklich fairen Preis. Ich komme sicher wieder. Folglich: Meine volle Empfehlung! Das Restaurant kann durchaus mit sehr guten Läden aus der Landeshauptstadt mithalten.

Absolut verdiente 5 Sterne! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende aufmerksam und einfach top – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Das Essen? Einfach unglaublich lecker! Von der Vorspeise über die Hauptspeise bis hin zur Nachspeise war wirklich alles ein voller Treffer. Jedes Gericht war perfekt abgestimmt, frisch und mit ganz viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch das Ambiente hat überzeugt: typisch indisch, sehr stilvoll und gleichzeitig wunderbar gemütlich – man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir kommen definitiv wieder – klare Empfehlung!

Bestes indisches Restaurant weit und breit! Wir haben bei uns in der Nähe auch ein paar indische Lokale, hier werden allerdings auch Pizza & Co. angeboten, die Auswahl der indischen Gerichte ist daher nicht so vielfältig und geschmacklich nicht annähernd so gut wie im Taj. Daher nehmen wir die Fahrt von 35 km gerne in Kauf, um hier einen schönen Abend verbringen zu können. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und preislich wirklich in Ordnung. Es wird weiterhin das Linsenbrot mit den drei Dips gereicht (in einem anderen Lokal, welches wir getestet hatten, muss man das extra für 3,50 € bestellen). Der Chef als auch das Personal ist absolut freundlich & zuvorkommend, ohne aufgesetzt zu wirken. Liebes Taj Team: macht weiter so!

Köstliches und mit Abstand bestes indisches Essen

Wir sind immer wieder dort, ob privat, mit dem Verein oder Stammtisch. Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und auch mit Kindern ist man gut aufgehoben. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, wunderschön und angenehm.

Ein sehr gutes Lokal mit einer großen Auswahl an leckeren Gerichten (vegetarisch, vegan oder auch mit Fleisch). Essen: Natürlich kann ich keine allgemeine Aussage machen, aber unsere beiden Gerichte haben uns SEHR GUT geschmeckt. Auch die Gerichte an den Nebentischen haben SEHR LECKER ausgesehen. Alle Speisen waren sehr schön angerichtet. Speisekarte: Es gibt eine große Auswahl an indischen Gerichten. Viele vegetarische Gerichte sind auch VEGAN möglich. Meine Begleitung war besonders von der veganen Auswahl sehr begeistert. Service: Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir wurden schnell und professionell bedient. TOP! Ambiente: Das Lokal ist schön und gehoben eingerichtet. Wir hatten einen 2er-Tisch und konnten uns gut unterhalten. Den Aufenthalt hatten wir als angenehm empfunden. Es gab Kerzen und Stoffservietten an den Tischen. Toilette: Auch hier gab es keinen Grund zur Klage. Alles war sauber. Eine kleine Auswahl an Kosmetikartikeln lag neben dem Spiegel bereit. Lage: Aufgrund der Nähe zur A94, kann man ohne viel Aufwand auch beim "vorbeifahren" zum Essen gehen. Unser Fazit: Uns hat es hier sehr gut geschmeckt und gefallen. Wir können das Lokal nur empfehlen. Wir werden sicherlich bald wieder kommen.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Taj Indian Restaurant in Dorfen, and I was absolutely blown away. ​From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting with Red Carpet s making for a truly relaxing evening. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, providing service that was both professional and genuinely friendly. ​And the food? Simply superb. Every dish was a celebration of flavor, expertly prepared with fresh ingredients. The quality and quantity were both outstanding— From makhni daal to butter chicken, Kadi, rice, garlic naan,laccha parantha, mixed indian spiced vegetables, mango lassi, halwa,pudding and ice cream - each plate was a generous portion of pure deliciousness. It's clear that the chefs put their heart into every meal. ​Every aspect of my visit was "super"—from the amazing food to the impeccable service. I can't wait to go back!

I am so happy with this restaurant because the food is good. The quality is good but there is also one thing that the people and the service is so good. They are so warm and welcoming. They take care of your needs specially I totally love it. it is a wonderful experience to go there and eat. The prices are also so good it is not very expensive. Essen sehr gut, Service super. Sehr empfehlenswert. Hier sind fast alle Gerichte top. Ich selbst schätze zum Beispiel sehr "Palak Paneer", wem Spinat schmeckt, dazu "Garlic Naan" oder "Garlic Roti" für den größeren Hunger, und zum trinken eine Litschi-Schorle. Auch der Chaj (Tee) ist sehr gut.

Besuch am Donnerstag, 8. Mai 2025 abends Während unseres Kurzurlaubes in Eitting, haben wir das Taj in Dorfen besucht. Das Taj ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Mitarbeiter empfangen die Gäste mit einem Lächeln - so war unser Empfang in Dorfen. Nachdem wir unseren reservierten Tisch zugeteilt bekommen haben, wurde uns die Speisekarte überreicht. Im Laufe des Abends ist auch der Geschäftsinhaber der Taj-Kette aufgetaucht und hat mit uns einen Smalltalk gehalten :-)) Das Essen, war sehr sehr lecker und alle Wünsche wurden positiv erfüllt. Bitte macht weiter so - Qualität und Service ist sehr sehr wichtig in der heutigen Zeit der Gastronomie. Real Indian food of very good quality, which my Indian wife confirms. Service is courteous, friendly and quick. The waiting time for the food is short, even when the house is full. The staff is very attentive and always asks if everything is okay or if you need anything else. Clear recommendation! We always like to come back!

Very cozy and loving interiors with lots of space. Still, it's better to make a reservation. When we left it was really crowded. That's a good sign. The staff was always very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our ordered food. It was very tasty and plentiful. The quality of the meat was top and everything was beautifully prepared. Were always looked after.
