Das Lokal ist klein, die Tische stehen eng, es ist laut, man lernt schnell die Tischnachbarn kennen. Keine Bar für ein Bewerbungsgespräch, sondern eine echte Tapas Bar mitten im Dortmunder Norden. Die Speisekarte ist typisch andalusisch, es kommt auf den Tisch, was die Karte verspricht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

For me, I like a good Spanish cuisine restaurant. The dishes I tried were quite good, the gazpacho very good and the cuttlefish quite good.

Best Spaniard in Dortmund, period.

You have to go to this restaurant: great atmosphere, jam-packed and super delicious food. You almost feel like you are in Spain. Everything is freshly prepared and the price is absolutely reasonable. However, it is advisable to reserve in advance as it is quite busy throughout the week. The staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait particularly long for your food.

A certain Raúl mentioned his name so often and made hospitable attempts at bribery that unfortunately bounced back on us. I have to tell him that the food was very much to our liking, so we will definitely come back. Please keep it up. Visit from July 10, 2024 Unfortunately I forgot to take more photos. If you're looking for authentic Spanish food, this is definitely the place for you. It looks and tastes like Spain. My boyfriend and I went in and immediately felt comfortable. I haven't eaten better in the Dortmund area - i.e. at the Spaniard. Best shop ❤️

Worth an experience and great selection of food! Went there this Friday evening and it was really delicious. The service was really super friendly and attentive! We were served very nicely and quickly! A bit old-fashioned, but that's probably the Spanish flair! Happy to come back!

Formerly THE cult Spaniard in Dortmund's Norderstadt, when the Nordstadt was still a cult anyway. She isn't anymore, is she? At some point the taberna came down and was really bad. 12 years ago or so. Haven't been here since. Now tried again. And lo and behold: the ambience and the good food are back! Had a pleasant evening with very good food. Keep it up!

Incredibly narrow seating, seems a bit old and run down. As soon as you enter the location, there is an extremely pungent smell of fish (and as we all know, fresh fish does NOT smell). The bread turned out to be a Turkish flatbread, including white and black sesame. Just to clarify: I have no problem at all with delicious Turkish flatbread, but not in a tapas bar. Aioli okay. The other dishes all seemed to have been prepared in the same deep fryer, everything tasted somehow like old fat, the pork loin came raw the first time, the second time unfortunately still raw on the inside, but charcoal type on the outside. Unfortunately, the sheep's cheese also turned out not to be gratinated cheese, but rather a kind of "sheep's cheese soup", all very runny. Dishes that were ordered again were sometimes forgotten, but were later found on the bill, then it was discovered that these things had probably been brought to another table by mistake. This can happen, but it is part of the not good overall impression. I have no idea how people here can comment that it was "the best Spanish food ever", I have never eaten worse tapas anywhere. However, the service was very friendly and tried hard to resolve the complaints. The price is actually cheap, but in my opinion the quality of the food is really poor and it's actually too expensive for that.

The atmosphere was very original and was reminiscent of a youth hostel. The food was freshly prepared but it didn't live up to expectations.

We were very positively surprised, the food was very tasty, the service was very nice and we paid very little compared to other tapas restaurants (€135 for 6 1/2 people with several drinks)

The tapas shop is very comfortably furnished and invites you to linger. This is of course also due to the delicious tapas. There were four of us and we ate our way through the menu. Everything is super tasty and fresh and above all for a great price! The service is very warm, funny and personal. Thanks to Raúl for the nice service (I kept my promise :)) We always enjoy coming here :)

Very authentic Spanish restaurant. Super tasty, value for money is great. Service very friendly and accommodating.

Even sardines in a can have more space. Apart from the fact that you could also ventilate a completely closed restaurant. The scrapped seating is probably intentional so that people can quickly make room for the next guests.

When it comes to service, you should attend a small training course. If you want to stay longer, you should be aware of the extremely uncomfortable chairs with little space. No thank you. There's something better within walking distance.

Einfach nur klasse. Super leckers autentisches Essen. Kleiner Gastraum, aber urig.

November 2023. Hier gilt es nicht Essen zu gehen sondern Essen zu erleben. Sitzen wie in der Sardinendose, soll wohl Ambiente in der 80er-Kneipe sowie Atmosphäre und auch Umsatz generieren. Tapas zu genießen ist ein, der kleinen Häppchen wegen, kostspieliges Vergnügen. Darüber täuschen auch die kleinen Stückpreise in der Karte nicht hinweg. Deshalb hatte ich mich für ein Tellergericht entschieden. In der heutigen Zeit auch nicht mehr in der Wertigkeit einzuschätzen. Das hier ist jedoch ein Fehler. Zum Fleisch gab es bei einem Freund nur Pommes (die hatten mit des Hauses Anspruch nun rein garnichts zu tun) und bei mir (Fleisch und Soße schmeckten hervorragend) zusätzlich einen (Grund)-Salat. Öl, Essig und nur mit dem Salat auch Salz und Pfeffer an den Tisch. Falls ich mal wieder komme, ich wurde trainiert, dann zumindest so viel Tapas, das ich das Hungergefühl los werde. Die Tapas die an den Tisch zu den anderen kamen, ich durfte das Ein oder Andere probieren, haben geschmeckt. Der Service ist freundlich, aufmerksam und auch geschickt. Die 250 ml siedendes Öl (inkl. Gambas) über 3 Köpfe hinweg zu servieren erfordert Können und Mut. Ich wünsche das das für immer gelingt. Mein Fazit, sich lohnende (!) Szenegastromie in DOs Nordstadt und einmal sollte man garantiert vorbeischauen. Interessant: Wer Blickrichtung Theke sitzt kann eine Dauerkochsendung im TV schauen. Sportsbar = Cookingdiner.

Das Essen war gut und günstig. Es ging sehr zügig bis das Essen auf dem Tisch stand. Das Thema Gemütlichkeit und Ambiente findet leider nicht statt.

Nach 30 Jahren mal wieder da und es hat sich nichts verändert. Wo gibt es das heute noch. Service und die Preise top.

Das Restaurant erinnert von der Einrichtung wenig an einen Spanier und ist eher eine normale Gaststätte im 80er Jahre Style. Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei den Tapas gibt's gute und mittelmäßige Teller. Zum Teil auf einfachen weißen Desserttellern serviert, wertet das Ambiente auf dem Tisch leider etwas ab. Fazit: Freundliches Restaurant im regionalen Style mit spanischem Essen in guter Qualität.
