Tabaksmühle in Saarbrücken

Today's meal of the day, pork medallion and gorgonzola sauce wasn't my case.

We had the small lunch menu. Way too expensive for what's on the table. This was just ready meal and reheated. I felt sick all day afterwards 🤢

!!! unique+surprising!!! And we go out for a “good meal” quite often. Keep it up, there isn't much comparable in the Saarbrücken area There were 11 of us, 5 different dishes, all top-notch, top-spiced, all on point, great service.

Nice service, food was fresh and tasty. I had the stuffed dumplings and my husband had the Mühlenspitz. Warm food only from 6 p.m., unfortunately it doesn't say that on the website.

The food was really excellent, especially the trout, which I would eat again at any time. The constellation of tagliatelle with pesto and trout with ratatouille is a great success. The salad with a very tasty dressing was also very well received. In the outdoor area you could spice up the ambience with some nice lighting, as it is a bit too dark in the evening. Otherwise very nice service and would be happy again.

We had our Christmas party there. The tables were beautifully set, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was a delight

We were there for lunch. At our table we ordered 3x Mühlenspitz. Unfortunately the beef was dry 3 times. Very unfortunate. Ambience is nice, menu with interesting dishes. Service very good. We will still come back.

We had reserved a table for dinner with the family (8 people) on Sunday lunchtime (12:00 p.m.). The menu is beautifully designed and has a wide selection of dishes. In addition to the menu, there was also a daily menu. The service was excellent: friendly, quick and always present without being intrusive. The food is freshly prepared with the best quality ingredients. We were thrilled and will definitely be back!

We were there for the third time yesterday and had a very nice evening again. The food was very tasty, the portions were almost too big for us personally :) The service was very nice and attentive. We haven't had any problems with parking yet, but that's probably because we drive there when they open. We can only recommend the Tabaksmühle and are already looking forward to the next time. 😊

In the last 20 years at least as many visits. Always good, stable quality and reasonable prices. Really beautiful, especially in summer!

I was born in Saarbrücken. That's why I know this place. Last year I was visiting my sister, we had dinner there and it was again delicious. Price and performance were also good.

Here, too, the blatant lack of staff unfortunately prevents the restaurant from being fully utilized. Receiving citizen's benefit is not as strenuous as working as a service worker.

Great service & good food in nice surroundings. We were there for the first time. We had the mill fillet of pork with gravy and fried onions and glazed carrots, Hoorisch with leek sauce & smoked salmon and the chicken salad...everything tasted good. When it got dark you were literally in the dark. Dear management: A few lanterns on the tables would be great :-) We are already looking forward to the next visit :-)

Rustic beer garden with delicious Saarland dishes!

Ce restaurant, du type "Biergarten" propose des plats locaux et leur propre bière ("BRUCH"). La cadre est fort sympathique : tables situées sous des arbres, à proximité d'un petit plan d'eau avec un magnifique jet d'eau. Les plats sont savoureux et particulièrement copieux ! Leur jarret ("Schweinhaxe"), plat typiquement sarrois, est excellent. Le service est assuré avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et de gentillesse.

The tobacco mill with its very special flair (located on the tobacco pond) is always worth a visit. It has a well-coordinated, long-term and super friendly team. The food tastes excellent and you are surrounded by nature, although it is not far to Saarbrücken city center by car or bus.

We were just able to reserve a table as it was very busy. We got our drinks very quickly and the food came very quickly too. It tasted very good and there are small and large portions to choose from. Really a very nice dinner, 88 euros for 4 adults.

The beautifully located restaurant's outdoor area appears very unkempt and neglected. It's a shame because it's beautifully located on the lake with a water fountain. Unfortunately a lot of mosquitoes. The service was overwhelmed because of a group of 10, but very friendly. Unfortunately the food was just average.

We ate there yesterday because we wanted to enjoy typical Saarland food during our stay. We immediately felt at home there and were warmly welcomed. The service was really outstanding! No long waiting times and the food came to the table hot and in a large portion. It was incredibly delicious! I can highly recommend the restaurant! Price-performance ratio was perfectly fine. We had a really nice and pleasant evening there. Thank you again for that!

I called there to make a reservation: On the first attempt at 11:50 a.m. the phone was picked up and from then on the receiver seemed to be next to the phone non-stop because it was constantly busy. So we went there anyway (it was about a table for 3 people for a birthday). We were there around 12.50 and politely asked for a table inside or outside. The waiter's answer was unfriendly: We should have made a reservation. When I answered that I wanted to, but was always busy, he replied that they were short of staff. In my opinion, you could at least answer the phone and say that there is no more room instead of letting people come and dealing with them in such an unfriendly way. Very unfortunate. But we found a great alternative for the day.

The food is very good; the staff attentive, friendly and nice. Slightly higher value for money but good. The only problem is the parking situation, but good, where there are no parking spaces, you can't find parking spaces. You just have to look further afield. You can find a parking space there and exercise is good… Ultimately, the visit is definitely worth it 😉

Small family event with a beautifully and tastefully decorated table, professional, unobtrusive, attentive and very friendly service (!) delicious food at absolutely fair prices. Turning 60 hurts a lot less 🙃. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Many thanks to the whole team!

A very nice atmosphere, you should book a table early, otherwise you'll only get a seat in the next room, it's not so nice there, but the good food makes up for it.

Getting old, nice food in the summer

Very, very friendly staff - everything is a bit like it used to be, the food, the ambience, the facilities. Gladly again, if you want it to be Saarland

The food there was really excellent, I had a veal schnitzel with French fries. In comparison, the prices are already at the top shelf, which doesn't necessarily have to be the case. The restaurant is rustic, but not nice. Could be made more comfortable.

Very comfortable, very friendly staff. We had stuffed stuffed with sauerkraut and a salad plate with chicken breast (I liked it better in one piece than usual when cut into strips), very tasty. We will come back in any case.

Everything fine. The service is attentive and quick. The menu offers something for everyone. Many dishes allow you to try something new that you wouldn't cook at home. And that is exactly the reason for me to visit one, or especially this, restaurant. Therefore absolute recommendation

Besonders hervorheben war der wirklich freundliche Kellner.

Lecker Essen zum guten Preis. Leider war am Nachbartisch eine Geburtstagsfeier sodass es unruhig war.

Wir waren schon mehrmals da nur am 11.11.2023 waren wir mit einen Herr von der Bedienung unzufrieden .Er hatte gemeint unser BernerSenne Hund sollen wir unter den Tisch setzen.Normalerweise sind Hunde doch herzlich willkommen.

Äußerlich sieht es top aus aber leider hat das Essen keinem von uns so richtig geschmeckt und es ist auch recht teuer. Der Service ist aber ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend gewesen.

Wir hatten Hoorische und Gefillde bestellt und waren überrascht, dass nach gefühlten 5-7 Minuten das Essen bereits auf dem Tisch war. Leider war das Essen nicht sehr überzeugend. Frisch zubereitet schmeckt anders. Schade. Denn die Location ist ganz schön, aber zum Essen lohnt es sich nicht.

Es sollte ein Weihnachtsessen sein am ersten Feiertag , kleine Speisekarte wegen Weihnachten ist ja OK. Aber was dann kam , man könnte meinen der Koch wäre im Urlaub . Es sah aus wie convenience essen und schmeckte auch so , als käme es aus der Mikrowelle . Einmal nie wieder !!!

Am 7.Dezember war unser Männerchor der Saarbrücker Stadtwerke in der "Tabaksmühle" mit insgesamt 37 Personen. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Service des Personals ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen gerne bei Gelegenheit wieder.

Beim letzten Besuch waren die Bratkartoffeln ungenießbar, aussen hart und innen total pappig, wie in der Friteuse zubereitet. Der Landbier Schwenker war ok. Obwohl ich die Bratkartoffeln hab zurückgehen lassen wurden sie berechnet. Der Service ist auch ausbaufähig. Es war mein letzter Besuch dort.
