Delicious and not overpriced :-)

We had a wonderful sushi experience here at Sweet Sushi. Highly recommended, as the price-performance ratio is absolutely spot on. As a Cologne native, I'd be happy to come back.

Everything taste good and fresh . The restaurant is authentic, it is not for a " aesthetic photoshoot" restaurant but the food , the price and the server definitely fill up your expectation.

The food is okay. But anyone who claims this is the best sushi has unfortunately never eaten real sushi. The service was super friendly, but with so many employees, they could have put more emphasis on cleanliness.

I thought it was very good; the food was very, very tasty and came quickly. Our group was generally satisfied, but unfortunately we couldn't finish everything because some of the portions were quite large. Very nice people, and we even got a free drink :).

Very friendly welcome at the door. Lovely ambiance. Very good and varied food. The wait time is absolutely perfect. I will definitely stop by again.

Everything was simply great! You should make a reservation in advance.

Unfortunately, it didn't taste particularly good. It was the first time I'd ever eaten sushi without having fun and enjoying it. The crunchy rolls were cut much too large, the wasabi was dried out and there was little of it. The salmon, in particular, was completely flavorless.

Clearly the best sushi in Cologne, the rice is top-notch in both taste and texture. Creative combinations, and there's nothing that isn't delicious.

Sadly had to remove my old good review from 2 years ago and write a new one. This used to be such a good place, the food used to be amazing and it was very disappointing to see that the quality went down. The food is nothing like before. The service was bad. We ordered 1 side dish which we did not get until we reminded the waitress. We had ordered one desert and after ages of waiting we had to remind them again that we ordered it. The service became worse too.

A must: the sushi platter for two people costs €38 and is actually enough for three people. Delicious!

After Gamescom, what a celebration, hunger drew us to this little place. We suddenly felt like having some fine sushi, and found a true little paradise here. The service was prompt, with such a lovely smile, left nothing to be desired. The food, oh what delicious bliss, we'll definitely be back! Price and enjoyment, a harmonious dance, this place deserves five stars!

Super delicious, well-stocked sushi, super friendly staff, food came quickly. The only downside is that the chairs are a bit uncomfortable and are more like stools than chairs. Would definitely come back.

I ordered the Basic Set (2 for 1) from UberEats. Unfortunately, swapping tuna for salmon wasn't possible due to the offer, which I completely understand. However, according to the description, half of the dish should still be salmon (1 salmon nigiri, 4 salmon maki). Instead, I received almost exclusively tuna.

I thought it was incredibly delicious. I've never eaten raw fish of such quality in my life. Simply amazing. The place is relatively small, and I find it a bit pricey. Nevertheless, it was really tasty, and the food looked divine.

The best sushi experience in my three years in Germany! I'm from Ukraine, and we love sushi, rolls, sashimi, and Asian cuisine in general. Honestly, in my three years in Germany, this is the first place where I've truly found the taste I've been missing so much! I tried the fish soup – very rich, with plenty of fish, a pleasantly mild flavor, and perfectly seasoned. And the spicy salmon rolls – simply fantastic! A perfect balance of light spiciness, freshness, and a great texture. The fish was super fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy. The place isn't big, but there's plenty of space, and the tables are comfortable. The decor is also very pleasant. The service was super friendly and welcoming. The location is also great – just about a kilometer from Cologne Central Station, on a small side street. It's about a 10-15 minute walk. A big plus: The prices are really very fair – which isn't a given in Cologne, especially with such good quality. I was in Cologne on business, but I will definitely come back with my daughter. Absolutely recommend it!

Was there yesterday at lunchtime. Very nice and quick staff. Miso soup was served for lunch and a greeting from the kitchen came unexpectedly. The food was very tasty and lovingly prepared. I would love to come back!

Simply delicious Update 2 years later December 24 and January 25: unfortunately the quality of the sushi has noticeably decreased. We ordered the same plate twice more and were unfortunately disappointed. Too bad.

Estuve allí un par de veces antes y fue excelente. Este año visité Köln de nuevo, y fue una sorpresa desagradable. El maki era minúsculo, no estaba firmemente rodado. No sabroso. Además, dos chefs de sushi, estaban discutiendo entre sí, gritando muy fuerte. Todo esto arruinó mi almuerzo por completo. Llegué allí con buenos recuerdos sobre mis últimas visitas, donde la comida y el ambiente era agradable. Desafortunadamente ya no es el caso allí.

I was there a few times before and it was excellent. This year I visited Köln again,and it was an unpleasant surprise. The maki was miniscule,not firmly rolled. Not tasty. Additionally, two sushi chefs, were arguing with each other, shouting very loudly. All of this ruined my lunch completely. I came there with good memories about my last visits, where the food and atmosphere was nice. Ah, yes,and you can pay cash only, but there is no notice about it. Unfortunately it's not the case anymore there.

To be honest, I don't feel like it anymore. Ordered twice and so far it has been super tasty and the quality of the fish is excellent. Today was just disappointing. The sushi was carelessly rolled and the fish quality was questionable. The tuna was pale and had an unpleasant mouthfeel. Not tasty! I just want consistent quality and no gambling when ordering. Apparently that's not possible here either. At over €30 per person, I expect consistently good to very good quality, both from the fish and the craftsmanship.

Small but nice - you usually have to book a table in advance, otherwise it will be tight. We have been there several times and always feel very comfortable there, even if the restaurant is quite small and somehow always extremely full. The service is quick, very attentive and courteous. The sushi is always an absolute delight there. If you prefer really delicious sushi, you should definitely reserve a table here!

Ich war im Dezember im neuen Restaurant von Sweet Sushi in Lindenthal essen es war sehr lecker und richtig gut dann dachten wir bestellen wir es doch mal mit Lieferdienst für zuhause es war echt nicht annähernd so gut wie im Restaurant und das bei einem Preis von über 100,00 Euro jetzt frage ich mich ob so ein erheblicher Unterschied sein darf ich denke sicher nicht.

This place opens on Monday & they do serve Unagi don but with kimchi, korean version of Unagi don. Food Presentation was awesome, lady waitress was friendly & smiley but the lady at the cashier was rather unfriendly, not smiley at all. And they don’t accept credit card. Only cash payment.

I have been to this cafe many times and will definitely come back. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance as the café is not very large and the seats are often full. The only downside is that reservations are only possible by phone. The sushi here is outstanding! Incredibly delicious and always freshly prepared. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash, but the quality and service more than make up for it.

Sweet Sushi is definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants in Cologne. However, the atmosphere is often a bit noisy. Perfect for lunch, in between, pick up or delivery. If you want something more comfortable, you should go to Sweet Sushi in Südstadt.

Sushi bar in the center with fast service and really tasty sushi!

Food is very salty. We left almost everything. There is no air condition or any air flow. Imagine, how you can enjoy the food when you need to survive. Not my favorite

We loved it there, were immediately greeted friendly and seated at a free table. The waiting times were really short and language barriers were respected and dealt with accordingly (we got an English menue). Overall really nice and chatty staff, even got some fried sushi on the house and they kept our bag safe for us to later pick up when we forgot it there. Would recommend and will definitely feast there again :)

I visited this one 1.5-2 years ago Visited restaurant several times, alone and with friends, as the food was good value for money. However, on my last visit yesterday after a long time, I had an unexpected experience with a waitress. I ordered "Nigiri Deluxe" but the waitress didn't understand me and asked. I pointed my finger at the menu in the list. Instead I received the menu which included an inside out roll which I barely eat. When I tried to point this out to her, she didn't respond and just walked away. The chef noticed this and asked what the problem was. After I explained to him that I had been given a different menu, he offered me the incorrectly delivered dish for free. Although I refused it at first, he convinced me to take it with me. So I came back to my seat with the plate. The staff were chatting about my order and the waitress came to me with the menu I originally ordered and said I ordered the wrong number on the menu. She kept repeating "Everything is fine" which made the communication very disrespectful and just interrupted me. It should be noted that the restaurant was neither busy nor hectic at the time. Such errors in service can happen, and the chef was very friendly and helpful. However, it was disappointing that the waitress did not handle her mistake professionally and communication was not working. She kept repeating "It's fine" and interrupted me when I was paying again trying to figure out if I should still tip her. The restaurant offers a good selection of sushi at a fair price, and the chef solved the problem immediately. Nevertheless, for me, the unprofessional and disrespectful communication from the waitress yesterday outweighs it.

Very tasty sushi, top quality & fair prices

Following good score in reviews, we went to this place. The service was poor, as waiters were way more interested in chatting with each other rather than customers. It took a while to place an order in a half empty room, and even longer to pay. While soups were well done and tasty, sushi taste was bad. The chief used the same knife for different fish types. Also I felt sick later that evening.

I came here on a recommendation and am super satisfied. The shop doesn't seem particularly attractive at first glance, but the sushi is really delicious. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. Overall, a great restaurant that I can highly recommend to any sushi lover!

This restaurant is very small and the tables are very near by each other. Food is actually good, but I would not say amazing.

Sushi platter for 2 people is a highlight. The crunchy rolls are especially great. There are hardly any problems with allocating space, so spontaneous visits are also possible. If the option of paying with an EC card is still offered, there is nothing to complain about.

We were here for lunch and shared a sushi plate. It was incredibly quick and the quality was really good. We'd love to come back!

It couldn't be better. Except for the cool, somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere, it's perfect for sushi and boals.

We have been here several times and it has become our favorite place in Cologne when it comes to sushi. Price-performance is simply top. We often come spontaneously and actually always get a table (during the day), even if the shop is busy. The sushi is always fresh and very tasty and is served in a visually appealing way. What is supposed to be crispy is crispy and tastes great to us. My children love it very much too. The service is always extremely friendly and there is often a little extra treat. We always go home very full and satisfied :) Regarding the lack of peace and quiet, which some people complain about here, I'm actually glad that it doesn't always have to be an "upscale atmosphere" to have a delicious meal. I really appreciate this, especially with children (who can also stay seated at the table).

Very stylishly furnished, the food was delicious and tasted outstanding. We have been here before and are always impressed by the presentation and quality of the food. Good proximity to the city center, so a clear recommendation!

Quality 1A - Unfortunately I didn't get what I ordered. The fish quality and taste at Sweet Sushi are unparalleled and of absolutely high quality. Unfortunately I didn't get 50% of my order and instead I just got something else, which really annoyed me! Since the store is really very small and you have to sit extremely close to other guests, I still recommend delivery.
