Sushi Bar Gim in Hannover

I received a voucher for sushi as a gift from colleagues. Unfortunately I lost sight of it and was happy to finally redeem it. I pointed this out to the owner - she no longer accepted it - it had expired! It's a shame that no accommodating solution could be found here. The voucher is paid for and the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived. So we'd rather go somewhere else to eat.

We became aware of this inconspicuous sushi restaurant via the Schlemmerblock. We loved the selection of sushi. No matter whether fish, chicken or vegetarian. It arrives at the guest beautifully prepared and leaves nothing to be desired. There are also, of course, delicious soups and salads. My husband tried the Japanese beer Kirin Ichiban that evening. He was pleasantly surprised. His statement tasted good :) We had a relaxing evening and it was delicious. We'd love to come back. :)

Sushi was okay, nothing special, the price was definitely too expensive, and they don't even provide chopsticks for that price.

Friendly service, very tasty food, great consistencies. Price/performance: fair. I had a lunch menu of tuna on rice and maki with cucumber. A small miso soup was served on the house. Would I go again? Anytime! Thanks for the great taste experience!

The sashimi was incredibly good quality and was really good value for what you get in the lunch menu. It is definitely recommended to order a selection of starters (the lotus root is very good 🫶)

The appetizers and sushi were outstanding on my visits.

We ordered online here yesterday. Delivery time was originally supposed to be around 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour longer than expected... the time was constantly changing and lengthening. However, the food that came at the end was freshly prepared and very tasty. If you don't want to eat there when you're really hungry, the food is recommended.

Great food, absolutely child friendly! We were there for the second time and are absolutely thrilled, it is simply delicious 😋

Unfortunately disappointing. Unfriendly service, who brought the wrong food (twice) and made it very clear at 9:30 p.m. that we were no longer welcome. When my friend ordered a latte macchiato around 9:30 p.m. before billing, she asked, "Can you do that? the kitchen closes at 10 a.m." The food was OK but underwhelming, the toilets aren't that nice and the location sucks. All in all: not as great as we expected and customer friendliness is different. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I had to do that once in this case. No thanks, no goodbye...no goodbye from our side

Yesterday I was disappointed and upset. Positive: My special requests (no rice, no sprouts, no sesame seeds, no octopus) were ignored, the vegetables were good/firm to the bite and the two specially ordered sauces were delicious. Negative: There was virtually no salmon or tuna (3-4 tiny pieces smaller than normal dice), but lots of shrimp and a huge amount of oil and soggy breadcrumbs. I was expecting something completely different from the dish. A pity. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I can't attach the photo of the mush for the trash here.

Even though the sushi is good, the atmosphere wasn't very nice. Not least because of the owner (?) who shouted through the restaurant in a vulnerable tone about his guests' wishes. There are so many sushi shops in Hanover that you don't have to bother with anything like that and would rather go to another restaurant

The sushi was really delicious. The service was very friendly and accommodating and had a lot of patience with us. We'd love to come back.

Yesterday we spontaneously went to eat here in a small group and I wasn't sure what to expect. But I have to say that I have found my new favorite sushi shop in Hanover. The sushi was really fantastic and you get the feeling that the owner really lives the whole thing. I will come back soon.

The Osaka plate was excellent. Here is something for everyone. The service is attentive and very accommodating. One of the best sushi restaurants in Hanover that is worth a visit at any time.

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant; it was quiet and clean. The sushi was delicious, but I didn't like the fried dishes. I didn't enjoy the taste of the soup either. However, I will come back again to try new dishes.

One thing in advance: the sushi is great! Unfortunately, you wait more than an hour for it, as Lieferando and Wolt orders apparently have priority. The ambience also does not correspond to the price level.

It's all a matter of taste. Because of all the good reviews and the fact that we had the coupon book, we ate here today. We each had a sushi variation for 24.50 euros each Quite clear in terms of quantity and nothing special in terms of taste. Price/performance not suitable here. In any case, we were disappointed, as we have already eaten much better. E.g. in ASISU Mom's Kitchen or in Tru Story We think a beer for 5.30 euros is a bit excessive. We always like to try things out. The voucher book is ideal for this. And we have already found some restaurants that we would like to visit again. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

In my opinion the best sushi you can get in Hanover.

Sushi Bar Gim's delivery was undoubtedly speedy, which is definitely a plus. However, the menu for 2 people did not meet our expectations. The portion was extremely small and barely enough for one person, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, when it comes to the quality of the sushi, we weren't impressed. The pieces were relatively small and lacked that certain something you would expect from a sushi bar. Overall, based on our experience, we would not order from Sushi Bar Gim again.

Very tasty 🍣 sushi, we recently ordered something to take away from lunch on Saturday and were completely satisfied. The restaurant itself doesn't necessarily look like a sushi restaurant; for example, there are... no treadmill, but of course that doesn't detract from the friendliness of the staff or the quality of the food. We'd love to come back. Lunch from Tuesday to Saturday, delivery is offered, perfectly accessible with the Goetheplatz bus/train stop in front of the door. We'd love to come back.

We had a 2-person menu here. It consisted of several courses of soup, various fish snacks of course with maki and sashimi, followed by a grill plate and rounded off with homemade ice cream at the end. Above all, the grill plate prepared at the table was amazing and surprised us more than positively. This menu for around €80 filled us up and left us happy. Making reservations in advance worked well, and the service experience was consistently friendly and accommodating. The ambience is rather unobtrusive and not intrusive. If we feel like Japanese/sushi again, we'll be happy to come back!

Neue Betreiber. Qualität hat etwas abgenommen, aber immer noch gut. Traurig ist die mangelnde Flexibilität. Das zwei Personen Menü könnte nicht für drei Personen bestellt werden.

Ich gehe seit Jahren ins "Gim" zum Essen. Eibe große Auswahl Sushi, Bento Boxen und Menüs. Es schmeckt immer lecker. Das Ambiente ist eher einfach, aber wir fühlen uns immer wohl.

Tolles kleines Sushi Lokal, ich persönlich kenne es seit 2008. Ich kann nur sagen 2023 ist es immer noch Sensationell. Essen, Preis/Leistung top. Ich komme wieder...

Die Sushi Bar Gim ist aktuell meine liebste Sushi Bar in Hannover. Die Qualität des Sushi war bisher immer tadellos, das Personal ist Freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Ambiente innerhalb der Bar ist stets sehr angenehm gewesen. Es gibt viele kleine Vorspeisen, die sich auch eigentlich alle zu Probieren lohnen. Ich persönlich bestelle gerne Nigiri je nach Tageslaune aber es gibt auch einige zusammengestellte Sets (Bento Boxen) mit einer guten Mischung. In jedem Fall ist das Belag/Füllung zu Reis verhältnis immer super (die Avocado Maki schaffen es bei mir inzwischen bei jedem Besuch in eine Bestellung) Für alle interessierten - hier wird auch Seeigel angeboten, allerdings sollte man wenn man ihn nicht kennt dazu wissen, dass er etwas Bitter ist. Das hat mich zunächst durchaus überrascht, aber so ist das bei Sachen die man nicht kennt ;)

Hatte hier ein sehr leckeres Sushi Mittagsangebot, auch mit vegetarischen Varianten! :-) Schneller Service, sehr frisch, sehr zuvorkommender Service.

Sehr gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen

Hab über lieferando bestellt und die Maki sind ganz gut. Die Menge an Ingwer und wasabi die einem mitgegeben wird ist für den Preis und die Menge leider zu wenig. Ergibt zusammen vielleicht mal einen Teelöffel. Aber das sind Kleinigkeiten. Mein Punkt für die negative Bewertung ist, dass die frittierten Sachen viel zu fettig sind und nach altem Fett schmecken. Die bekommen mir leider nicht so gut und ich hab Magenprobleme bekommen. Leider nicht so schön. Die Bewertungen sind an sich super, kann sein dass sie einen schlechten Tag hatten. Aber trotzdem geht es mir nicht gut nach dem Sushi und das finde ich schade.

Es un lugar auténtico, una familia educada te sirve platos japoneses con calidad y estilo. Recomendable 100% si quieres comer auténtica comida japonesa sabrosa y sin prisas.

Das Restaurant gibt es schon viele Jahrzehnte in Hannover..!!.. Die Einrichtung ist leider auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber,... Das Essen (Japanisch) ist hervorragend und lecker!!!.. Ein sehr freundliches Personal rundet das ganze ab... Definitiv zu empfehlen!!..

Richtig leckeres Sushi, viel Auswahl mit einigen ausgefallenen Variationen. Tolle Mangoschorle. Richtig gemütliches Ambiente und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Komme gerne wieder.

Von außen tatsächlich eher schlicht und weniger einladend. Der Service war allerdings prima und freundlich. Das Essen super. Sehr lecker und auch optisch ansprechend angerichtet. Frisches suhsi und gute Qualität. Preis Leistung passt hier auf jeden Fall. Gerne wieder

Ich habe weit über das gesunde Maß hinaus gegessen, es war einfach unfassbar lecker! 😱

Wir gehen immer mit ein paar Kollegen zum Mittagstisch. Neben einer Vorspeisensuppe und kleinen Reisbällchen kann man aus verschiedenen Sushivarianten und Warmspeisen aussuchen. Preis-Leistung ist hier einfach top!
