An absolute highlight for beer lovers. There are quite a few different varieties. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for drivers. If you want, you can eat a delicious pizza while tasting the beer.

no service! Shop outside half empty. Waited 5 minutes. The ladies stand in threes and I go and order. "We'll be right there." I sit down again and after 3 minutes still no one takes the order. That's when it drifted out...

We were there on a brief visit on Friday, before regular operations. Even though there was a lot to do, they took a moment for us, there was a short private tour and then two beers. Really TOP! We will be back! Then also for food 😅

Yesterday, on a busy Saturday evening, we had dinner here with 11 people. Despite the many guests, we were given detailed advice about the drinks and food. Special requests regarding the ingredients on the pizzas were also fulfilled. You can tell that people not only enjoy eating and drinking delicious beer here, but that the employees also enjoy working there. Thank you for the great hospitality. Gladly again.

Near perfection. Caught them at point when they we’re busy to the point of buckling at the knees. So service was hurt a bit. I decided to see beyond that and appreciate them for what they aim to be. Because, despite the bad timing one of the owner’s still took his time to chat between pouring Monin suryp drinks and attending to a bunch of wedding guests. The kitchen team kept churning out pizzas like there’s no tomorrow. Beer offering is divine obviously. Pizza delicious, while mine was a tad too burned for my taste. Portion size made it impossible to finish the charred bits anyway. Best place for miles and miles and miles around.

A fascinating ambience, in keeping with our taste in industrial design, with a clear view of the brewery. The beer (we had four different types, three of which were on tap) was of incredible quality in taste. I've never had such a delicious keg beer before. The pizzas came to the table in a reasonable time frame, were very well seasoned and the dough was unbeatable. Nobody gets up from the table hungry here! Last but not least: The evening was completely rounded off by Laura, who offered refreshing, competent service and finally made us new fans of sudden death.

Nach 20 min wurden 2 von 6 Getränken serviert, nach 50 min die 6 Pizzen. Völlig unfähiges Serviceteam. Das Bier war kalt aber fast schal, die Pizzen waren gut.

We were there for the second time, the first time unfortunately all the pizzas were sold out in the evening, this time we had reserved. The pizza was very tasty, as was the beer. We became very full quite quickly, so the orders took a moment and so did the pizza for a latecomer, but we were also told beforehand, so everything was fine. The pizza menu is quite short, but everyone should find something. We think the atmosphere is great, we'd love to come back!

Große Auswahl an Bieren, die man auf der großzügigen Terrasse genießen kann. Ein Vorteil hierbei ist die digitale Taplist, auf der man live die angeschlagenen Biere sieht. Es Empfiehlt sich trotzdem zu reservieren, da die Bar beliebt zu sein scheint. Um die schiere Vielfalt beqältigen zu können, empfihlt dich ein "Pro-Bier-Brett" mit 4 selbst auszusuchenden Bieren. Die Nachos waren etwas einfallslos, einfach aus der Tüte in ne Schale serviert und die Käsesoße eher geschmacklos. Die Pizzen waren Geschmacklich gut, wenn sich auch die definition von Schärfe im Norden Deutschlands offenbar gravierend von der im Rest deutlich unterscheidet. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Ambiente Industriell/ Modern, man kann innen auch Teile der Brauerei sehen.

First impression: Amazing! Nice location, nice service and an excellent wheat beer (I haven't tried the rest yet). The pizzas looked good. Definitely a store that you wish will be around for a long time.

Extrem leckere Pizzen - besonders die veganen - und natürlich die Beste Auswahl an Bieren. Die Location mega schön mit netten Kellner*innen. Sogar hundefreundlich :)

Mega delicious pizza! Very nice industrial location! Super friendly and relaxed employees! Don't even start with the beer. There is certainly something for every taste here. We will be back definitely. Keep it up!

As good as it can be. The pizza with ribs is great. The beer choice is super. The service is friendly and helpful. It’s not that easy to reach the place from the city centre, but it’s totally worth it.

Brilliant craft beer brewery. Cool atmosphere, you can watch the brewer at work and he does it well, as the delicious beers prove. Seven brilliant IPAs on tap alone, plus stouts, sours, Märzen and of course Helles, Pils and Zwickel. Plus homemade pizza, but the pizza wedges with chipotle sauce for a small thaler were just right. A must in Lübeck.

The staff is great. I would give an extra point for that. If there are a lot of visitors, the meal can take 1.5 hours, so one star is deducted.

We were at the brewery with a large group on the Friday before Pentecost. We ate fantastic pizzas, received great service and enjoyed various delicious freshly brewed beers. I can only recommend trying it for yourself!!

One of the local breweries in Lübeck complete with an awesome brew pub directly on site. Great place for a night out with friends, they often have special events taking place including tap takeovers and pub quizzes. Some of the best pizza in town with both classical choices and some awesome original versions ( that change regularly). They have 19 beers on tap, most being home brewed and the option of buying beer for home ( takeaway). The only minus is the not super accessible location ( if not by car) but it's well worth the walk/bike ride.

If you like something a little more rocky and relaxed, you will feel at home in the “Brewshop” of the Sudden Death Brewing Company (SDBC) in one of the halls on the Gollan Kulturwerft site. There, guests will find powerful music, some of it live, various pizza variations and delicious burgers - and above all, twenty changing beer specialties. There should be suitable flavors for all beer lovers... Non-alcoholic drinks, including homemade lemonades such as rhubarb-raspberry, are available here. A place of enjoyment for everyone.

We celebrated my birthday with flying pizza. Delicious appetizers, dips and delicious bread sticks first. Then new pizzas kept arriving. Of course my guests also enjoyed the different beers. Everyone is coming back next year. Thanks to the whole team.

Awesome! Yesterday I went to the brewery cafe with my father to eat and enjoy the delicious beers. The staff was super friendly and had great humor. Also received a nice patch, really nice. Definitely come back here again. I really recommend this brewery.

Drinking beer in the brewery... That's how I would describe the Sudden Death brewery. There are many different and delicious beers, although the types vary. Anyone who has found their beer can also take it home with them. But if you are unsure which beer you want to drink, there is also a glass to try and good recommendations from the staff. The culinary offering also changes... Did we have pizza with sauerkraut and knuckle at Oktoberfest? eaten. The staff is always very friendly. We always enjoy coming back.

3.5 stars. Ambiance probably kept deliberately simple. Approximately 20 different types of beer on offer. Prices are high: €7 on average for 0.5l beer. Pizza normal quality. Service staff very friendly. In summer you can sit outside, which is certainly more pleasant. The beer is actually brewed in the shop and is therefore a bit louder. It's just part of it. Overall worth a visit.

The pizzas were very tasty. It didn't take too long to get it served, which was good. The service was well, the waiters were very friendly but didn't look, for example if someone had an empty glass, so sometimes you had to wait a long time until someone came. The atmosphere was very rustic, which I found really appropriate, but the chairs were uncomfortable. I also didn't know how to get to the brewery's WiFi since you needed it for the QR code. The toilets were clean.

Super delicious freshly tapped craft beer from our own brewery. Very large selection of IPAs which I personally really liked. There are also pro “beer” boards 😊 Very nice location in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Super attentive staff and incredibly delicious fresh pizza. It's really awesome. We'd love to come back.

Craft beer breweries are great. Most beers taste good too… That's almost entirely true here. The only caveat is that all the beers we tried were really good. The service is great and if you can't decide, you get good tips... Sudden Death will surely see us again! Absolutely! In short: absolute recommendation!

Do you like beer and pizza? Then there is nothing better. Every (!) beer from this brewery is special and top. The pizza, although not a "classic Neapolitan", was also very tasty. Even hotter with dip. The price is steep, but the quality and taste are worth it. It's a shame that I'm never actually in Lübeck. Otherwise I would probably weigh 30kg more and be poorer.

Yesterday was my first time at the brewery, but certainly not the last time. I was there as a photographer to photograph the awarding of the Rotary Prize by the Rotary Foundation in Lübeck. The location is an absolute eye-catcher – from outside and inside. The service staff is super nice and the after-work beer is very tasty. All in all, a really great evening.

Fantastic beer. Very good pizza. We sometimes waited a little long for service. But then Bo came! A man of honor. Gastronomy in our blood and a heart for the customer. I have never been served so well in Schleswig Holstein. keep it up Bo!

Reserved a table, waited over 2 hours for a normal tuna pizza, which was cold and didn't taste particularly good. The last pizza came 20 minutes after the other pizzas. The waitress says “I can’t help it”. Completely overwhelmed here, far too many guests for the kitchen. Price/performance poor.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 6 Personen reserviert. Wir waren pünktlich die Bedienung war sehr nett. Die Getränke kamen recht zügig. Beim Essen bestellen wurde uns gleich gesagt das es bis zu 60 Minuten dauern kann. O.k kein Problem. Aber die Pizzen kamen nach 2 Stunden. Als wir nach 1 1/2 Stunden eine Bedienung fragten wann dennendloch unser essen kommt. War die Aussage dieanderen müssen ja auch warten und jede Pizza ist frisch zubereitet. Uns wird man mit Hunger dort nicht mehr sehen.

Wenn man etwas besondere sucht, wird man hier fündig.Mega geiles Craft Bier. Bei der Pizza kann sich so mancher Pizzabäcker eine Scheibe von abschneiden.Das Personal ist Super freundlich und kann einem jedes Bier erklären. Für mich die Perfekte Location um mit Freunden gepflegt ein Bier oder auch ein paar mehr zu trinken.😍

The best craft beer shop I've been to in Germany so far. Super tasty beer, especially the IPA range. Very nice brewpub with good service. You can also order the delicious beer home from the online shop. There was a small problem with delivery by DHL, but that was also managed very well by Sudden Death! Thank you very much, keep it up!

Eine sehr schöne Brauerei. Das Bier ist unfassbar lecker. Die verschiedenen Biere schmecken alle irgendwie anders und alle auf ihre eigene Art delikat. Das Ambiente ist unfassbar stark und das Personal sehr sehr lieb.

Went there on a Saturday evening and had reserved in advance. Since we had to wait a long time for our food at the first appointment, I had to postpone the reservation, that wasn't a problem, it was great. It actually wasn't as crowded as we expected. The atmosphere is very cool, everything is industrial and simple, I really like it. Only the upper floor could possibly use a little stylistic “warmth”. The map via QR code is a good idea in itself, but it reinforces the feeling of staring at your cell phone a little. In contrast to my friends, I tried something out (very tasty!) and received very good advice from the staff. Some of the prices are very high, but it is something special, but certainly not for every weekend. The location is a bit out of the way and the parking situation is a bit confusing, but that is more due to the area itself. We also had a pretty cool live band! I'll definitely come here again.

Sudden Death Brewery Brewpub: definitely my new favorite place in the city. The food was incredible, I would even go so far as to say: BEST PIZZA IN TOWN! and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I also liked the cool and yet very cozy atmosphere. It was the perfect place to grab a beer after a long day (the draft selection is huge). We were all just completely satisfied and can't wait to come back. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience!

Came here because of the good reviews, but were really disappointed. We had 5 different beers (both lagers and ales) and we didn't like any of them. They had something in common - they all tasted too sweet. We didn't like the pizza either. Nor the service, as it was slow. The only reason to add a star was because of the ambiance and interior design, which was very nicely done!
