Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at Subway in Iserlohn today. I wanted to get the macadamia cookies for my wife, which she loves so much. The first time I visited, the service was already very unfriendly, but I overlooked it. When I asked about the macadamia cookies, I was told that it would take about half an hour. So I went back later. However, I was rather cheekily told there were no more macadamia cookies available for that day. It felt like they had simply lied to me the first time. So I made the trip for nothing and was treated unfriendly on top of that. For me, it was a very disappointing experience – you certainly won't win any customers that way. I will therefore not be visiting Subway again. August 22, 2025 at approximately 6 p.m.

I went there today for the first time in over 10 years and the place didn't make a good impression. The tables were a few years old, as was the "buy one get one free refill" sign (very faded). The overall impression of the place was rather poor. When we mistakenly stood in line on the wrong side, we were probably watched but then left standing in the rain. Even when we finally got in the right line, we were left standing and the waiter disappeared. A couple besides us were served by another employee. While we waited, my son played with a dangling cable that was sticking out from under the counter. In my opinion, that's completely unacceptable. Since I haven't been to Subway in years, I'm still very confused by the "menu". I wanted a sandwich, but you couldn't order the toppings together. But that wasn't stated anywhere. I won't eat there again.

I was at Subway on Monday evening. There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the entrance, which, while very conveniently located, are relatively tight. Upon entering the store, I noticed that it was very hot inside. The air was very stuffy. I also saw a few flies near the counter. There weren't many, but enough to be noticeable. I was served by a young man who was calm and friendly. He made sure the bread was toasted exactly the way I wanted it and distributed the vegetables evenly. I wasn't entirely sure about the sauce, but he recommended a very tasty combination. The restroom was in very good condition: clean, with plenty of paper towels, and it smelled fresh. One minor criticism is the seating area, which wasn't entirely tidy at the time – there was a basket of trash on one table, but it was cleared away after I was served. All in all, I had a good experience and even left a small tip for the service.

I ate at Subway with my sister for the first time and received absolutely terrible advice and service. What was also very unpleasant was that both servers left the restaurant with cigarettes in their mouths to smoke, and there was no one left to talk to. Afterwards, we learned from other customers about the benefits of a set meal, which we weren't even told about, so we ended up paying more and getting less. I think that's poor customer service.

Edit: Unfortunately, I have to deduct stars in retrospect. Staff: Unfortunately, the young ladies aren't very competent at making sandwiches. When they're on duty, I know right away that the subs aren't going to be well-filled. For one thing, it's because they're really stingy with the ingredients. Grated cheese and other toppings are barely worth mentioning, and you have to ask for more if you want more than 5-6 kernels of corn and not just a pinch of cheese. Furthermore, isn't there a rule that says half a sub should have 2 slices of Gouda and a whole sub should have 4? The young ladies like to put only one slice of cheese on half a sub. I've been wondering if a whole sub should only have 2? That's not the rule, is it? Also, a half sub should usually have 3 slices of tomato/cucumber and a whole sub should have twice as many! We've seen it this way for years. It's not exactly pleasant when, as a customer, you have to comment on the employee's every move. Additionally, some of the ladies themselves speak so quietly that you can barely understand them!! If 6 slices of cucumber do find their way onto a whole sub and then one falls back down, the slice isn't refilled. I'm not criticizing the fact that, for example, you get subs that aren't so well packaged; that takes some practice; the older colleagues do it better. BUT I am criticizing the fact that the younger ladies don't seem to be proactive either: if a sub at the first station is filled and could already go into the oven, it's left to the colleague at the salad counter, who has to interrupt her work there to serve other customers. The lady at the first station then inexplicably just goes to the kitchen (where another employee is already there) or to the cash register and calmly waits there until her colleague is finished, while other customers are already waiting in line at station 1. ………………… The staff is always very nice and friendly, knowledgeable about the ingredients. We've always gotten takeout from there. Requests are accommodated without complaint. As for the cleanliness of the dining area, it depends on when you arrive. If it's busy, there's less time to clean up after crumbs. The decor is a bit dated, but otherwise, this Subway looks like any other. :-)

We always receive very friendly service and are happy to travel from Fröndenberg for a delicious sub. 😃 We just find it a shame that the coupons and promotions aren't valid at this restaurant, as it's not participating. Driving all the way to Dortmund, Hamm, or Soest just for that is simply not worth it. Nevertheless, we always enjoy being in Iserlohn. 😊

The service is terrible. She gives me a spoonful of chicken teriyaki, which feels like it's just small pieces of piss, and then she wants 1.50 from me for another spoonful, as if she were getting paid for it. It's really rude. And because I have my water, I have to eat outside. She also wraps up the sub so simply, everything falls out, and slaps a little dirty sticker on a corner to make it stick. It's funny that she didn't hit it.

The restaurant has been refusing to participate in the Subway app system for 9 (!) months now, according to the notice due to "...too many errors and unanswered questions...". Although it is listed as a participating restaurant in the app, points, promotions and discounts cannot be used from the app. Sorry, but this is totally unacceptable for a franchise and embarrassing for both the restaurant and Subway in general. The app with the points collection system etc. is ultimately a central core component of the Subway brand. The employees are obviously really annoyed by this boycott, as they constantly have to justify themselves to the customers who stand in front of them with their smartphones out. This also does not contribute to a pleasant customer experience.

Unfortunately, this store used to be good. It was a Thursday evening and not much was going on. The shop was dingy and the staff was very unfriendly. The coexistence there wasn't particularly nice either. Bread was only toasted, salad was quite fresh. The jalapenos were unfortunately spoiled. Likewise the onion sauce. The staff was seen putting new goods on top of old ones. Not very hygienic!! Customers were lining up because the staff was preparing their food at the end of the day. These conditions there are definitely new. Previous visits have always been satisfactory. After these incidents we would rather go to another Subway branch

I wanted to redeem the coupons from the app after my order was ready, but they just said "let's not participate, we need paper format"! Why??? Then throw them in the trash. She saw that I had it on my cell phone. Then it just said “don’t make the laws”. No, you don't, but that's not customer loyalty either! It's a shame, annoyed employees, incorrectly printed coupons (nowhere does it say that they have to be brought in paper format!) and therefore very dissatisfied customers. Next time I'll save the 18 km and 19€ for 3 half subs and 4 mini cookies, where Makadamia only has 2 half nuts in it and the rest is white chocolate drops.

Today was my first time at Subway and therefore my first time in this store in Iserlohn. First of all: I liked the baguette I ordered. So that's good. However, I didn't like the atmosphere. You quickly notice that the shop is quite old, so a lot of the furniture is worn out and some of the walls/floors/baseboards look very used. While you're biting into your baguette, it's obviously not that appetizing, because what does the kitchen look like? I also had a bad service experience: I ordered a sub for EUR 7.29 from the menu. The menu picture clearly shows netted potatoes, a drink and the surcharge of EUR 3.20. You can also choose between cookies and other fries. However, at the checkout the menu cost EUR 0.50 more. Now readers of this review may be wondering why this is so bad. Well, if something has to cost EUR 10.49, then I don't want a higher price of EUR 10.49. Pay EUR 10.99. Reason for the surcharge: The price of EUR 10.49 only applies to one cookie, although the menu clearly offers the netted potatoes as standard in the picture. If I show a sub, netted potatoes and a drink in a picture and then print a surcharge of EUR 3.20: Why does it actually cost EUR 3.70?! Also, when I ordered, they assumed that I wanted a cookie, so when I paid, only the sub was prepared, but not the netted potatoes. Same case: If there is a picture with net potatoes and I order exactly that: Why aren't the net potatoes the standard since they can also be seen there? Or a question about my preference would have been appropriate. Now you can think: Man, why is he so upset about this? Well, as always in Germany, it's the situation in which you bring it up that makes you as a customer angry. “Subway is not providing the right advertising materials that represent it accurately.” So of course the justification mode. It doesn't matter at all. Of course that's stupid, but it's about me as a customer. I paid too much and have to actively address this. Instead of going into justification mode, a free cookie or some other kind word would have been more appropriate than abdicating responsibility. That's a shame because, as I said at the beginning, the baguette was very tasty and I would actually come back. However, it's not the product that's holding me back, but as is often the case, it's the service experience.

Customer loyalty = ZERO It's unfortunate how difficult it is to redeem these 50% coupons. I'm really wondering what the point is. They are not activated in the app, but can be redeemed as paper coupons. Nowadays, the coupons are of course available digitally. “In the spirit of sustainability,” they must still be presented in print. If you save €20, that's a great thing. So I wanted to go, print it out and come back. Nevertheless, the boss of the Iserlohn subway doesn't want to make any compromises here and refuses to give me 50%. How can you make hungry people so angry? This literally provokes the bad review. Well, here it is: Unfortunately, rude, ill-advised and damaging to business. Buuuuuuuh!

Gemütliches Hotel am Rande der Autobahn. Den Verkehr von dort hört man kaum; dann schon eher startende oder landende Flugzeuge, auch nachts. Der Lärm hält sich trotzdem in Grenzen. Zimmer wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Sehr gemütliche Betten. Bad hochwertig renoviert. Das Hotel dient auch als Seminarhotel für Serways-Mitarbeiter (Übungsküche). Wer nach der Übernachtung frühstücken (vom Buffet) möchte, erhält einen preislichen Rabatt im Vergleich zur Laufkundschaft.

Endlich nachdem wir einige Male in anderen Subway Filialen enttäuscht wurden, waren wir hier sehr zufrieden. Vegane Optionen waren vorhanden und bekannt und außerdem sehr lecker. For us, a visit to Iserlohn is always worth it. The food is truly delicious and the prices are absolutely fair. The restaurant may be a bit small, but the really friendly service makes up for everything else. We're always happy to come back.

Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen, was das Essen betrifft, leider nicht teilen. ich hatte Fisch, der schnell in der Fritteuse zubereitet worden war, dazu aufgewärmte Kartoffeln sowie eine Soße, die nach Fertigprodukt schmeckte. Das Gericht hatte einen stattlichen Preis von rund 23 Euro, für den ich mehr erwartet hätte. Die Hälfte blieb deshalb auf dem Teller. Die Reaktion des Kellners auf mein Feedback fiel mehr vorwurfsvoll denn auf mich eingehend aus. Es ging mir nicht darum, das Geld dafür nicht bezahlen zu wollen, sondern vielmehr um ein ehrliches Feedback, das ein "das tut mir leid, ich gebe es gern an die Küche weiter" verdient hätte.

Delicious pizza, if only you could still make thick pizzas like in Bibione, Italy. The yeast dough was three fingers thick, very soft, and... amazing.
