Stüberl in Haag i.OB

Completely overwhelmed and unprofessional. It's rare to find such a poorly organized restaurant. We pre-ordered food for Christmas, which wasn't delivered and was sold to someone else when we went to pick it up.

Positive: Very, very good food. You can tell it's homemade. Friendly service and owners. The location is truly a dream ♡ I'd happily go back again. The interior is also very cozy and clean, inviting you to stay longer. Small but: Pricey is too high, and the portions are too small. We were there with several people, and everyone went home hungry. It's a shame, because the food is really very good. The portions could definitely be bigger; no children's or senior citizen plates, or offering them separately with the portion size ;) Ps: Changing the menu every now and then, viral after a few months, would be the icing on the cake ^^ If this gets adjusted, it'll get 5 stars too :)

I went there today with my grandma and my boyfriend. When we came in, the greeting was anything but warm. The owner was sitting at a table playing cards, which isn't a problem in itself. However, I think guests should be greeted politely and not just play cards for minutes on end. When I asked if we could get something to eat, she replied that it wasn't the right time, pointing to her watch. (The place was open, and it also said so online.) We weren't offered a menu or anything like that. She simply asked bluntly what we had in mind. I then asked if there was any soup, but she pointed me to lasagna or goulash. We opted for a piece of lasagna, which unfortunately was just microwaved. After taking our order, she went towards the bar, where the table where she had been playing cards was located. I saw her shake her head and give her colleague an annoyed look. Unfortunately, that wasn't a pleasant experience, and I hope she'll be more attentive to her guests in the future. The lasagna was okay.

This is and always will be one of the best doner kebabs! I come all the way from Munich and can only say that this is a fantastic product, no frills. The meat is crispy; where you usually only get limp, undercooked meat, here it's exactly how it should be. The fact that it comes in a nice quarter of a flatbread and not a tasteless doner roll is a real plus. This doner is like it used to be, and the price is good too. In Munich, you pay much more for far inferior quality. The owners are absolutely lovely people and should definitely continue to be supported. All in all, one of the best doner kebabs around, simple and authentic, and that's precisely why I highly recommend it. In Haag, there's absolutely no alternative.
