Stricker's Kehr Wieder Spitze in Hamburg

Stopped in for a short break, sat outside with a great view of the Elbe. The order had to be placed in the restaurant. A mini piece of cheesecake that wasn't even homemade was €5.50 and the small cup of coffee was €4.10, also in the upper price segment. In my opinion, it was completely exaggerated and there are other nice restaurants and cafes right by the harbor.

Portion was clear. It tasted good. Service friendly. Price upper level, guess restaurant pays exorbitant shop rent.

Very tasty dishes. The soup of the day was very tasty and a good portion. For the main course, the duck breast was unfortunately completely fried and therefore really tough. The cod is very tender with champagne cabbage, unusual at first glance, but harmonious. Service was a bit overwhelmed and unfortunately hardly met the demand. However, everyone is very friendly and the location opposite the Elphi and with a view of the harbor area is a great place to stay, even at sunset. Would love to give the restaurant another chance for the perfect dinner and will definitely come back

Stricker's is beautifully located and very stylishly furnished! The staff were all very accommodating and the food was fantastic, as was the wine and ambience!

I ordered the Elphi menu with wine accompaniment and didn't regret it. I was served a great meal by a friendly waitress. Unfortunately, the view of the Elbe was impaired by scaffolding.

This restaurant is simply a great location with a great view! The dishes are fine; of course the prices too ;-); the Service is very attentive and there is even parking in front of the door. I always enjoy coming here!

On December 31st We watched the New Year's Eve fireworks in Hamburg next to the restaurant. There was obviously a private party taking place in the restaurant. Shortly after midnight, one of the guests set off a battery of fireworks in the middle of the crowd. The battery fell over, causing a small panic. My wife's coat was damaged and I suffered a minor burn on my thigh. Even without being able to evaluate the food and ambience of the restaurant, such behavior is absolutely irresponsible and unacceptable.

Unser am 21.12.24 stattgefundenes Familientreffen zum weihnachtlichen Festessen endete leider in einer absoluten Enttäuschung. Die bei der rechtzeitigen Rservierung noch bestätigte „Familientafel“ fand sich an getrennten Einzeltischen, so daß die Familie nicht am gemeinsamen Tisch dinieren konnte. Der innere Groll war bereits an dieser Stelle vorprogrammiert., auch wenn sich die allein gelassene Servicecrew noch so sehr bemühte. Die Gänseunterkeulen!! waren steinhart, total ausgetrocknet und eigentlich nicht genießbar, die Miniaturstückchen einer trockenen Gänsebrust??? hatten mit einem schmackhaften, kross gebratenen Gänsebraten weder optisch noch geschacklich wenig gemein. Da hat jemand sein Handwerk nicht so wirklich verstanden. Hätten wir nicht einen Riesenhunger und mit 15 Personen zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch eine Alternative gehabt, hätten wir diesen Menuepunkt mit Sicherheit nicht akzeptiert. Auf unsere Frage nach etwas Brot – in jeder italienischen Trattoria eine Selbstverständlichkeit- bekamen wir zur Antwort, daß das Essen ja gleich käme! Professionalittät sieht anders aus. Lediglich der Rotkohl und die minimalistische Anzahl an Klößen waren wirklich sehr schmackhaft . Für uns ist das Kehr Wieder Spitze mit Sicherheit ein Kehr nicht wieder Spitze geworden.

Three-course menu ordered as a reservation. You could have chosen between different starters/dishes, unfortunately you could NOT choose between all starters. Unfortunately, instead of seven people, only five people were able to attend due to illness - the staff told us "they could have told us beforehand"! As a tip! !! You could have let us know in advance if not all the food was available. !! Starter: Onion soup - "NAJA" Once and NEVER again!

Unfortunately, our family meeting for the Christmas dinner that took place on December 21st, 2024 ended in absolute disappointment. The “family table”, which was confirmed when the reservation was made in good time, was at separate individual tables, so that the family could not dine at the common table. The inner resentment was already inevitable at this point, no matter how hard the service crew, left alone, tried. The goose drumsticks!! were rock hard, totally dried out and actually not edible, the miniature pieces of a dry goose breast??? had little in common with a tasty, crispy roast goose, neither in terms of appearance nor taste. Someone didn't really understand their craft. If we hadn't been extremely hungry and had an alternative with 15 people at the time, we certainly wouldn't have accepted this menu item. When we asked for some bread - a given in every Italian trattoria - we were told that the food would come soon! Professionalism looks different. Only the red cabbage and the minimalist number of dumplings were really very tasty. For us, the Kehrwiederspitze is definitely a Kehr not top again.

The view is great, but unfortunately the rest is not. Food was mediocre, the goose was dry and fried. The dumplings were rolled in Pankow or something similar and the sauce was a small dollop. Upon request, a small bowl for 3 people came. Service is untrained and unprofessional. Would be enough for a pub or snack bar, but not for a restaurant. The claim should be different. Absolutely no recommendation.

Aussicht und Ambiente sind grandios. Die exponierte Lage bietet einen wunderbaren Blick in den Hamburger Hafen. Der Service ist sehr nett und freundlich. Die Weinauswahl rundet den positiven Eindruck ab. Der Cesars Salad war allerdings etwas fad, die Gänsekeule dafür um so besser. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

We had chosen the Christmas menu (4 courses including wine accompaniment) and were looking forward to a great evening with friends. Unfortunately, the bottom line was that we were absolutely disappointed. The food was tasty and the quality was there, but we felt like we were in a pub with currywurst and fries. At the same time, there was a Christmas party with around 20 people, which kept the small shop busy and, above all, ensured that the volume was appropriate. This created neither a quiet nor a cozy atmosphere. In addition, there were longer waiting times between courses because the Christmas party guests apparently booked a buffet, which was set up in the middle of the room and all the service staff were involved here too. Then the running started - of course everyone jumped at the buffet at once. The volume was then correspondingly higher, which was really annoying. The soup was very little and very unspectacular. We waited quite a long time for the next course. For the money we'll definitely go somewhere else next time.

Very friendly staff, an incredible view and a very special quality and perfect preparation of the food. Overall, a perfect visit to the restaurant!! I highly recommend this restaurant!

A bit spoiled, delicious food, great view.

Unfortunately, we were standing in the store on the train several times during opening hours and heard that the checkout had already been made 40-60 minutes before closing time and that it was no longer possible to serve drinks. We were lucky once in the afternoon. The atmosphere is great, we've never eaten there before, but if you can't rely on the opening times, something is going wrong... We'll definitely not try again!

Wir haben dort eine 1 1/2 tägige Veranstaltung gemacht und waren von vorne bis hinten begeistert. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service war super nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Location mit Rundumblick aufs Wasser und die fahrenden Schiffe ist superschön. Empfehlenswert...

Great food, nice service, great location.

If you eat here a second time, it's your own fault. Great view, staff tried hard. The first course showed a lot of promise. The soup was fine too. But then... Dry Aged Flank Steak tasted like liver and was tough as a shoe sole. We let it go back and then inevitably switched to the John Dory, which was served with undercooked, bland potatoes and cabbage. Dessert was warmed chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream. For €59 per person we expected more.

My absolute favorite place to enjoy a beer. Fantastic view.

We really enjoyed our extensive brunch with a closed group. The restaurant management and wait staff always looked after all guests well and kept order with professional unobtrusiveness. The cuisine was also excellent - the guests and we really enjoyed the starter, main course and dessert.

Here you live from the location. When we arrived, the upper floor looked like a shooting gallery. We had a team event. The tables were poorly conjured up without napkins or cutlery. The main course was bland and boring. The starter as well as the dessert convenience from the package but beautifully prepared. Everything had the appearance of a third-rate bistro rather than a restaurant with a portion price of around 25 to 30 euros.

What a great experience. The menu was excellent, the kitchen put a lot of effort into it. The service was prompt, extremely attentive, and incredibly humorous. But this combination of great location, wonderful view, great menu and service... that makes it a bit unique. And the price was completely reasonable.

Rarely in such a beautiful place (Hafenblick a gogo) with friendly service staff (who made an effort) drank so poorly (both beers were lukewarm) and ate (lukewarm starters several times, sea bream fillet in the main course hung tired and limp over actually well-grilled green asparagus). 115 euros was far too expensive for that!

After I took a seat in the restaurant at 7:20 p.m. on August 5th, 2024 and still wasn't served after 24 minutes, other guests who had been waiting longer in front of me, including me, decided to leave. By the way: The card had a rather weak offer for Hamburg, but stood out with absurdly high prices. The good thing was that I discovered a really excellent restaurant (Marinehof behind the Steigenberger Hotel).

The scenery is incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, I expected much more from the food for the prices. The Panna Cotta ala Pina Colada tasted like it had fallen over... Unfortunately, I also have to agree with other reviews about the service, it definitely needs improvement.

Im Schlemmermenu gab es Lammschulter, die absolut nicht mein Geschmack war: Fett flaksig und einfach nicht gut. Die Qualität war absolut nicht das Niveau, was ich erwartet habe. Meine Freundin empfand es ebenso. Den Kellner interessierte das absolut nicht. Einen guten Kellner fällt auf, dass mehr als die Hälfte des Fleisches zurück geht. Eine Nachfrage kam nicht. Der Hammer ist allerdings, dass das Gebäude komplett eingerüstet ist. Bei meiner Reservierung habe ich ausdrücklich gesagt, wir kommen mit Gästen aus dem Allgäu und wollen die Aussicht auf den Hafen genießen. Kein Wort zu den Gerüst, auch nicht bei der Ankunft oder zum Ende. Guter Service bedeutet sich für Dinge, die passieren zu entschuldigen. Kleine Geste wie dass Erstgetränk gratis oder zum Abschluss einen Espresso aufs Haus. Aber nein wie gefehlt, es kann auch noch die falsche Rechnung. Geht garnicht

In the gourmet menu there was lamb shoulder, which was absolutely not to my taste: fatty and flaky and just not good. The quality was absolutely not at the level I expected. My girlfriend felt the same way. The waiter didn't care at all. A good waiter notices that more than half of the meat goes back. There was no request. The great thing, however, is that the building is completely scaffolded. When I made my reservation, I expressly said that we were coming with guests from the Allgäu and wanted to enjoy the view of the harbor. Not a word about the scaffolding, not even upon arrival or at the end. Good service means apologizing for things that happen. Small gestures like a free first drink or an espresso on the house at the end. But no, it could also be the wrong invoice. Doesn't work at all

Wir hatten ein dreigängige Menu, von dem der Hauptgang (Steinpilz-Panzarotti) sehr gut war. Vor- und Nachspeise waren ok, mehr aber nicht. Man sitzt ganz nett und hat trotz des momentanen Gerüsts einen schönen Blick auf den Hafen. Der Service war ok. Etwas verwundert waren wir, dass man uns so gegen 21:30 Uhr mehr oder weniger hinaus komplementieren wollte - an einem Samstag! Das fanden wir doch eher ungewöhnlich…

Nie mehr wieder. Wir haben 45 min gewartet, obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste waren. Das Brot für den Burger war aus. Der Fisch und das Fleisch waren ungenießbar. Die Ausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Der Kellner war total lieb. Preise völlig überzogen für diese Qualität. Leider keine Empfehlung.

The worst cappuccino I ever had, and I have had lots of them.

Nach einer halben Stunde Wartezeit auf das Essen hat sich die Bedienung nochmal erkundigt, welche Gerichte wir bestellt hatten. Sie hat daraufhin erst die Bestellung im System erfasst, was sie vorher offenbar vergessen hatte. Nach einer Stunde haben wir die Gerichte bekommen; andere Gäste die nach uns ins Lokal kamen haben das Restaurant bereits satt verlassen. Zu den Gerichten selbst kann ich sagen, dass bei mir der Spargel nicht durch war, die trockenen Enden vorab nicht abgeschnitten etc. Für 170 € (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kids) habe ich einen anderen Service und bessere Qualität erwartet.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently scaffolded. So not a nice view. But the location is perfect and without scaffolding the view of the harbor and the ships is certainly TOP! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the food and especially the service. We were there with two small children (5 and 7 years old) and had to wait an hour for our food. Anyone who has children knows that an hour like this can drag on like chewing gum! Dealing with minimal changes to the menu was obviously difficult, i.e. the changes were accepted, but when served it was noticed that the request had not been implemented in the kitchen. The food was rather carelessly prepared. Taste OK but definitely not a highlight. We had to order bread separately and organize salt and pepper ourselves. The service staff were obviously overwhelmed. Criticism was left without comment. Too bad!

The food was okay, but the service is subpar. We wanted to choose the 4-course menu, but would have liked to have ordered something else from the menu instead of the starter on the menu. Regardless of any additional costs. This was rejected outright. Would overwhelm the kitchen. Smaller deficits later too. Only when the soup was already on the table did the service realize that spoons would be very practical. The same thing afterwards with the fish (fish knife). Our expressed criticism was left hanging without comment.

Beautiful place with a great view over the Elbe and the Elbphilharmonie. The food was okay but you don't have to have the arrogant foreign waiters. you feel like a supplicant who is being reprimanded in your own country by people with moderate knowledge of German.

It was a pleasure to eat there. A very good selection of not too many dishes, a great view of the port of Hamburg and a super nice service who was very attentive, worked quickly and managed to go up and down the stairs several times! Hats off! The food was well created and tasted very good! We can recommend the Elbphi menu with fish! Keep it up!

The service was friendly and actually attentive. Unfortunately, we only got the bread with the salad at the end when we asked. But the salad bowl was a disgrace. For almost €20 we got a hard little broccoli, three leaves of wild lettuce, a few cubes of kohlrabi and 2 hard slices of terrible tasting eggplant. This really makes me angry.

Gänsemenue Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Vorspeisen waren schmackhaft. Die Gänsekeulen sehr zart und perfekt zubereitet, wie auch der Rotkohl. Was mit den Süßkartoffelscheiben passiert ist kann man nur schwer erklären. Auf jeden Fall gehören völlig verkohlte Scheiben nicht auf den Teller. Als wir den Kellner darauf aufmerksam machten, sagte er, dass er das an die Küche weitergibt. Das Dessert war aus vorgefertigten Teilen hübsch auf einem Teller angerichtet. Wenn man die Restaurants von Herrn Stricker auf Sylt kennt ist man hier leider sehr enttäuscht. Die Kellner sind bemüht…. Schade, schade

Erlesene Speisekarte, phantastische Aussicht aus 1. Etage auf Elbe und Hafen. Schmackhafte Speisen. Einzig die scharf gewürzte Tomatensoße auf Nudeln beim "ausgewiesenen Kinderteller" bringt Abstriche.

Wenn ein Restaurant nicht einmal in der Lage ist für eine große Gruppe zwei Tische zusammenzuschieben fehlen mir die Worte für so viel Unflexibilität. Hier ist leider nur die Location der Wahnsinn. Service passt nicht zur Aufmachung. Vielmehr habe ich Service überhaupt vermisst. Fleisch für fast 40€ durchzogen von dicker Sehne. Insgesamt leider eine Enttäuschung. Ich gebe keine Empfehlung.

Haben unsere Silberhochzeit dort gefeiert. Es war in allen eine super und zuvorkommende Veranstaltung. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Schöne Lange, aber das ist es auch schon. Dauerhaft überfordertes Personal, das einen nicht selten hinauskomplimentiert mit der Ausrede, jetzt ginge es nur mit Reservierung. Den Weg kann man sich meist daher sparen und geht besser dahin, wo man willkommen ist und einen vergleichbar schönen Blick hat.
