It's home from home pub and the Germans are so friendly

Due to an unexpected train cancellation at Gau-Algesheim train station, I went to the nearby Castello restaurant. The restaurant presented itself with an attractive exterior and a modern, cozy, inviting interior with wooden elements. The menu offered Italian classics and, surprisingly, Moroccan stews. I chose the vegetarian Moroccan stew (presumably vegan). The waiting time was reasonable and the presentation in a clay pot was traditional. However, I was a bit disappointed in terms of taste as the broth and vegetables seemed very bland and the Moroccan spices I was hoping for were missing. The price of 15 euros seemed a bit high to me. The prices for the other dishes seemed reasonable. When I looked at the menu more closely, I noticed that although vegetarian options were offered, there were no explicit labels for vegan options. So if you're vegan, you should ask specifically here. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially when ordering. The possibility of charging my cell phone upon request was immediately affirmed. My concerns as a guest were addressed here and they helped out in an uncomplicated manner in my emergency situation, which is definitely very commendable. Finally, I would like to mention the toilet area, which was very clean and obviously modernized. It was definitely one of the cleanest sanitary areas I've seen in a restaurant - kudos for that! In summary: The Castello restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Although the Moroccan stew I chose didn't suit my personal taste, the helpfulness of the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant were very positive. I can recommend a visit to the Castello restaurant.
