Strand Restaurant „Zur Kogge“ in Meuselwitz

My friend and I were there at the beginning of September, so it was off-season. The weather was beautiful, it was around 5 p.m., and we were hungry. We thought we'd grab a bite before heading to the pool. I ordered currywurst with fries, my friend ordered frikadelle with fries. Well, it was food, not real food. The sausage was cut into pieces, but you could still tell they'd tried to resuscitate the old, dried-out sausage. And my friend's ground beef was just plain junk from a convenience store. My meal cost 9 euros, my friend's 9.50, because she got a little bit of cabbage salad, which was the strongest element in this culinary composition. We ate a little and ostentatiously left the rest on the table. We couldn't eat it, and our hunger vanished because we were about to throw up! We only got something to eat when we got home; I had Thai soup. Bathing area ok

Hello Kogge team, You've created a beautiful place there. Unfortunately, it was closed when we were there yesterday, and we left a large black backpack, probably on one of the picnic benches. Is there any chance it was found, and where might it have been dropped off?

Unfortunately the opening times are not correct

Beautiful weather, summer holidays in Thuringia, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt. And it's a Friday afternoon. The snack bar is closed. The online listing stated that it would be open every day except Wednesday during the holidays. The owner was there and warned of the possibility of rain, but it didn't come. He wasn't particularly friendly either. I can't recommend it.

A lovely place to swim with children. It's a shame that the hottest day of the year is closed during the school holidays. Our stay was therefore unfortunately shorter than planned.

Charging 5 euros for parking if you want a drink is incomprehensible – simply a disgrace. The beach is full of goose poop. The food isn't fresh or tasty. Not recommended.

So first the positives: the place is beautiful, the staff is quite friendly, and the soft ice cream is delicious. BUT: the quark balls (5 pieces, €6) may look fresh, but they're discount store stuff, old and dry... that's a rip-off and cheeky.

Unfortunately it was closed on Sunday. No opening times to be found on site. Why is the beach closed?

Once and never again. Unfriendly staff, poor quality of food. Everything here is just about getting as much money as possible from the “customer”. Including the questionable parking fees that are charged black.

Nice new snack bar, no comparison to the operator who was there last year. Rental of SUP (15 €/h), parasols and loungers. There is a large selection of food. The fries with cheese sauce are highly recommended! There is of course also ice cream and a separate drinks trolley with a wide range of chilled drinks. Lots of seating options. There is a great playground for the kids on site. Parking fee €4.

A nice snack, the food is very tasty. The facility is very well maintained. If you're upset about the prices, don't forget that the complex is very well maintained and you don't have to pay an entrance fee and only pay €4 for parking all day! highly recommended!

Very good beach restaurants with a wide range of food and drinks. Beautifully designed tables and benches - partly covered. There are also lovingly cared for floral decorations everywhere. Everything very cozy and inviting...

Really a very nice place where you can enjoy spending your free time. When it comes to the beach restaurant, I agree with an opinion that has already been published: a chip shop with restaurant prices! The selection is very large, the portions are not, but the price is. I had an “Ossiburger” which was really delicious, but charging 8 euros for it is almost outrageous! This also applies to the currywurst with fries for 8.50. The beer costs 4.50, but at least it's on tap. I would have liked to drink it from a glass (they were also available), but I didn't get it despite asking: it's a shame ☹️. For families with children, I recommend taking the cooler bag with you. By the way, there is also soft ice cream. The big one for the price of 4€ 😳. I got it last week at Timmendorfer Strand for 3.50 😜

Very nice rustic wooden seating groups and beer tent sets. It was nice to sit in the shade and eat and drink in peace. There was a pretty big selection!

Anyone who still thinks they have to show racist terms on the map is ignorant and behind in time! Addendum: to answer your question “Eismohr” (soft ice cream).

A great place but...this supposed "restaurant" is a chip shop with restaurant prices. At €8.50 for currywurst/fries + €5 for a portion of fries, the whole thing has a bitter aftertaste. The fries were in a warming dish. The taste was correspondingly bad. When asked about possibly getting a little more mayo on the fries (a dollop would probably be enough, the landlord said), it was discussed! With a total price of €13.50 you have to be able to expect at least some service. None! The ambience is great. The sanitary facilities are clean, the bathing area and the parking lot (4€ are ok) offer enough space for everyone. I would have liked to give 5 stars, but for us fries are just part of the fun at the beach and if you go for the "big pants" option, you have to deliver them. So it remains a poor performance towards the guest!

Holiday feelings arise, great place in the landscape. Suitable for unwinding. Food is good, drinks selection too. The operators are clearly making an effort. The staff is nice and so are the owners. Really great place by the lake.

Strand Restaurant zur Kogge located on Lake Hadelbach. Service, staff top very very friendly. You feel comfortable here, with a bathing beach, climbing ship for children, toilets, everything is available. Price performance of the food was top.

Clean and tidy... There are plenty of little things to eat, something for everyone... :-)

We were there with children and enjoyed the visit overall. Beautiful facility and thanks to the fence that is set up at night, no duck poop. That's great. We also ate something and yes, I thought it was pretty steep for a beach resort. But ok, no one is forced to eat. The food was mostly good and fresh. I say mostly because my currywurst was definitely from the day before. It was warmed up and sold again. How do I know this? I've sold sausage myself for years and when I get a curry that's well-cooked but cold on the inside and has a certain taste, then I know what's wrong. Is that poisonous? No. But not great either. Well, I think that's a false economy. It's better to get rid of such leftovers and sizzle up a fresh sausage. Everything else was good and fresh. All the best and stay tuned, then there will be 5 stars.

The opening times stated are incorrect. It is mostly closed during the week. There has recently been a fence around the water, so you can't swim. Maybe. Against the waterfowl, because of the pollution? But should that be the solution? Yesterday paddlers came from the other side and wanted to eat at the snack bar (it's open every day online). They couldn't even get out of the water because of the fence and the snack bar was closed. This is strange business behavior and annoys the guests. It actually tastes very good here and the environment is great. The employees are also very nice.

Very tasty and reasonably priced food in a great little spot! 🙂 There is a lot on offer, especially for the children, and hour after hour flies by 😉 There is, among other things, a large pirate ship, a mud road and a swing. There is plenty of seating for adults - and in the shade too! 🙂 Free parking is available! Very well maintained and extremely clean facility! 🙂 The very friendly staff are particularly worth mentioning! 🙂 A trip there is highly recommended! 🙂

Beneath the friendliness of the staff there is a latent hostility towards the guests if you don't strictly adhere to the rules of the location. Even seniors who struggled to get there are harshly reprimanded. Make room for operators who like to do this. It's now a Sunday at the end of April and no one is there, closed. Shame.

It's not a restaurant but a snack bar with completely overpriced prices. You can only use the mini beach if the gates are not closed. You can tell that the operators only care about making money by their mood and lack of customer friendliness. I don't have to voluntarily do that to myself again, which is actually a shame for the otherwise beautiful lake.

Located right on our doorstep and on the banks of Lake Haselbach, this snack bar invites you to linger. Freshly tapped beer, soft ice cream and cask soda, among other things, are highly recommended, along with pasta and currywurst. :)

Pleasant atmosphere to linger and relax! When there is a lot of crowds, the family business reaches its limits. The food and drinks on offer are prepared with a lot of love. The currywurst is the tastiest I have ever eaten. For me, it could be a bit spicier ,but if you like that you can order extra seasoning from the operator. In general, you have to give the family behind the counter a big compliment! Even in times of great stress and crowds, they remain calm, are always friendly and never lose track of things. And a friendly smile makes up for the waiting time! Thank you and keep it up!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

A beautiful piece of earth. A great lake with very good water quality and a well-kept lawn. Physical comfort and seating for consumption are provided. A clean sanitary facility also completes the picture. Everything is well maintained. The parking lot (one field) costs €4 per day. In “MY” opinion the prices are a bit too high for what is on offer. Bottled beer for €3.50 without service... the food is similarly priced, but at least it's tasty. Nevertheless, we really enjoy going here, even though it usually gets really crowded after 12 p.m.

Sehr schön gelegen, aber die Preise für einen SB Imbiss sind für mich in dieser Form leider nicht mehr nachvollziehbar, zumal wir selbst aus der Branche kommen und wissen, dass man es nicht unbedingt übertreiben muss. Die Currywurst schmeckt zudem ziemlich fad. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Schönes Fleckchen Erde der Strandabschnitt am Haselbacher See 🤗 Schöner Spielplatz, SUP Verleih und ein toller Imbiss. Parken kostet 4€, dafür ist aber alles hier sauber und ordentlich. WCs auch vorhanden. 👍

Super badestrand, super sauber. Ideal mit Kindern. Es gibt einen tollen Spielplatz, gutes Essen und Getränke und die Preise sind für so einen tollen und sauberen Strand vollkommen in Ordnung

Wir sind durch Zufall hier gelandet und völlig begeistert. Preis/Leistung ist perfekt. Das Essen schmeckt ,die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und 4€Parkgebühr für so einen herrlichen Strandabschnitt ist definitiv auch nicht zuviel .Ein kleines Paradies für Kinder, durch die vielen Spielmöglichkeiten.Ab sofort meiden wir die "andere Seite des Sees" und kommen nur noch hier her

Allen voran, ja ich kann den anderen Rezensionen zustimmen. Die Preise sind schon am oberen Ende von dem was man erwarten würde. Aber man sollte schon das Gesamtbild betrachten. Man bekommt einen wunderschönen gepflegten Strand mit Sitzmöglichkeiten, mit Schatten, mit Spielplatz, sauberen Toiletten und einem wunderschönen Ambiente. Das alles ohne einen Cent Eintritt. Der Pächter muss das alles pflegen und unterhalten. Das muss irgendwie bezahlt werden und ich finde es sehr sozial sich das über die Speisen zu holen. Wer es sich nicht leisten kann, bringt sich halt was mit und kommt trotzdem in den Genuss dieses schönen Ortes. Alle anderen finanzieren über die Speisen die Erhaltung des Strand. Und dafür sind die Preise nicht zu hoch. An Leipziger Stränden bezahlt man dasselbe und noch mehr, da schmeckt es nicht mal und man bekommt nicht so einen schönen Platz geboten. Ich wünsche dem Pächter viel Erfolg und bin gerne bereit die Preise zu bezahlen. Vielen Dank.

Essen zu teuer. Keine Qualität. Ein 0.5l altenburg Bier 🍺 5euro das is unverschämt. Eine Kugel eis 2.50 einfach nur abzocke ohne Ende. Parkplatz 4euro und so geht's weiter.

Ein spontaner Ausflug wurde zu einem schönen Tag am See. Gutes Essen, Eisbecher und entspanntes sitzen unter einem Baum. Es hat uns git gefallen. Bis bald an diesem schönen Ort.

Gute Auswahl an Essen, Getränken und Eis. Für einen Zwischenstopp mit Fahrrad oder für die Verpflegung am Badestrand gut geeignet.

Sehr schöner See und Umgebung, sehr sauberes Wasser, nur auf der Wiese Unreinheiten von Hinterlassenschaften von Tieren, am Montag leider Verpflegungsmöglichkeit nicht möglich da Montag und Dienstag nicht geöffnet,
