Storia in München

I recently visited this Italian restaurant and found the food to be quite satisfying. The dishes were well-prepared and flavorful, reflecting a genuine effort in the kitchen. However, I did feel that the service could have been more engaging. While the team of two servers and two chefs kept things running smoothly, the overall atmosphere felt a bit impersonal. A warmer, more welcoming interaction would have enhanced the dining experience significantly. That said, I appreciate the effort the staff put into maintaining efficiency, and I believe this restaurant has great potential with a bit more focus on creating a more inviting ambiance for guests.

We ordered Pizzas, which was yummy. The letdown was the service; the younger staff was friendly, the seniors cocky as can be, and our server was doing us a favor by bringing our food, how dare we order food in a restaurant.. Never going back

An excellent restaurant!! - By chance I found it in Karlstr. during my stay in Munich. or Dachauer Str. discovered and was thrilled! - From the ultra-cozy ambience and furnishings inside (beautifully and tastefully designed, down to every detail) to the ultra-tasty and beautifully presented fine food (mine was definitely a poem; I have never eaten as deliciously as I did here in an Italian restaurant). ! <3) to the simply perfect, nice and attentive service, despite the full restaurants (I guess this one is an insider tip! <3 ) - all in all: it couldn't be better! The perfect, warm-hearted service, coziness (they had good music too!) and the great food made my evening there such a lovely experience - when I'm in Munich again, I'll only go there for Italian food and so I can Definitely highly recommend! We were there on Sunday afternoon, very little going on. A stylish ambience and pleasant background music. The staff was very attentive and friendly and on the ball. Our meals were excellent, both visually and tastefully of a high standard. The price is completely within the range for Munich. Finally a pizza that I didn't have to add seasoning to. Only the knives could be a little sharper and the toilets are a bit few when the shop is full. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered two pizzas. The parma rocket pizza is highly recommended!! However, the edge was a bit too much in the long run. the restaurant is very nicely decorated. the service was friendly.

Este restaurante está a un par de minutos a pie del hotel Ibis donde me alojaba, así que era muy conveniente, pero también muy bueno. Está muy bien diseñado y tiene un interior elegante para que coincida con la muy buena comida. El vino no era el más barato de Múnich, pero eso no le restaba valor a una comida agradable. El servicio era muy amable y eficiente y volvería aquí si estuviera en Munich de nuevo.

Very central and the restaurant offers an elegant ambience for dinner. High quality dishes and ultra respectful service. After the Italian we went to the ice cream parlor around the corner, the best evening in Munich!

The food at STORIA is really excellent – ​​even my Italian relatives like to eat here, which is saying a lot. Unfortunately the service is not at the same level. When I made my last reservation for 10 people via the website, I was rudely informed upon arrival that online reservations were "not good" anyway and that I should have called. We were then divided into three separate tables. When I asked to put the tables together, I was told that this would only be possible if we ordered a three-course meal. Since we only wanted a starter and main course, we weren't actually allowed to sit together and had to eat in groups 50cm apart - really disappointing for a birthday meal. That's a shame, because STORIA would actually be a great restaurant if the service attitude were a little more customer-friendly. Unfortunately, such experiences spoil the joy of an otherwise great meal.

"My colleagues and I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago, and I must say I do not recommend it. The food was absolutely terrible – the meat was thin, scary-looking, and far too cold. The staff was awful; they couldn’t speak English and instead begged us to speak Italian, which was strange. Many of my colleagues didn’t even get their food, and it took over an hour for those who did. I just don’t understand how people can claim this restaurant is well-known with good food. Don’t even get me started on the dessert and the awful coffee. I think the manager panicked when the waitress made a huge mess. So, if you're a company planning to book a dinner – don’t. This restaurant cannot handle large groups or serve warm, quality food.

Las puertas estaban abiertas y el personal estaba allí, sin embargo nos dijeron que nos fuéramos hasta las 6 PM. Muy mal servicio y mala actitud. Esperó más de 40 minutos para tomar algo y luego vino con cerveza en lugar de Weissbier. El pollo en salat Cesar estaba crudo, Risotto no estaba al dente. El dueño amenazó con llamar a la policía si no pagamos la cuenta.

We visited during lunch. The quality of the food was okay but the service was even bad for Munich standards. The waiter behaved rude when we pointed out a mistake in the menu. Generally the waiting times are also way too long for a work lunch.

Very long waiting time (35 minutes!!) for a pizza, the argument was that there was a new chef and a defective oven: That's just embarrassing. The waiter was probably new too. The restaurant is very large and lacks a bit of the Italian flair. The pizza was excellent though, it has to be said. Would give it another chance if the waiting time gets better!

I had the pleasure of dining at Storia Restaurant and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food was excellent. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the creative presentation of the dishes. The service was equally remarkable. The staff was attentive, friendly and always tried to make our visit as pleasant as possible. Our wishes were promptly fulfilled and we felt very welcome as guests. Overall, a wonderful evening in a restaurant that I can definitely recommend. If you value excellent food and first-class service, Storia is the right place for you!

'Storia' appears to be a nice, modern Italian restaurant from the approach, and their menu ticks all the boxes offering a breadth of options. Food was decent (when it actually got to OUR table) and there are good options on the wine/drinks menu. That said, the two servers the night we were there couldn't get things straight. Wrong wines to start, then they brought us pizza with ham on it, after we had slowly & clearly iterated that we're vegetarian. His solution? Take the pizza from us, rush to another table and make a quick pizza switch! He also tried to talk us into adding a tip when there was already an auto-10% on our bill. Unacceptable.

We were there with friends on June 22, 2024 and had reserved a table at 9 p.m. The restaurant looks very elegant and modern both from the outside and from the inside. Since there wasn't much going on, we were served promptly and didn't have to wait long for our food. The menu offers a great selection of Italian classics, but also a few extravagant dishes. We were all very impressed with the meal, from the presentation to the taste! The price is absolutely right for Munich. In our case, the service was also absolutely great, very friendly and open-minded. Definitely a recommendation for me!

Good spot with a lot of potential but the service was the worst I have ever experienced. Incredibly rude waiters an de had to wait 20 minutes for 3 drinks. The restaurant was empty at the time. We had no choice but to come back for drinks in the evening due to everything being full because of a concert. No simgle waiter came out in 25 minutes and the restaurant was full outside. Inside there was not one table seated and the waiters were standing around inside and not waiting. Many tables walked out. This is an absolute disrespectful and incredibly terrible service. Do not go there!

The mortadella and buratta pizza was one of the top 3 pizzas I’ve ever had. Staff were lovely and welcoming and happy to help me in English once I butchered some German speaking. Lovely spot to people watch and let the afternoon pass by.

The older waiter was very unfriendly - attacked my colleague because he didn't finish his plate completely, we all had to wait a long time for our food. The food was so bad that I vomited that same evening. The starter with the tomato mozzarella was rancid, you could tell it was bad. The pasta wasn't al dente (too floppy), the pizza was too soft. All my colleagues expected more for the prices (5 ravioli for 22 euros is outrageous). We will never visit this restaurant again.

On a rainy Saturday, after the children's theater right around the corner, we spontaneously went there with eleven people and got a great table straight away. The waiter was extremely friendly and, despite the 5 children among us, not at all annoyed. The food was excellent, the pizza tasted like it was in Italy. Price/performance absolutely appropriate. You can go there without hesitation!

Food was absolutely average and way too expensive. The undressed "insalata mista" for 8.50 was small and consisted of a few leaves of green lettuce, a few tasteless pieces of tomato and slices of cucumber with peel. Vinegar (cheap quality), oil, salt pepper at the table. That wasn't enough for all of us. Same problem with the main courses: pizza base good, toppings poor. Pizza with grated goat cheese and basil essentially had a topping of (good) tomato sauce, very little grated cheese of an indefinable type (could have been a tablespoon of parmesan from the bag) and 4 very small leaves of basil. Nothing else. Too expensive for 16.50. Good atmosphere, waiters very friendly. But we won't go there again.

Der nicht angemachte "insalata mista" für 8,50 war klein und bestand aus wenigen Blättern grünem Salat, ein paar geschmacklosen Tomatenstücken und Gurkenscheiben mit Schale. Essig (billige Qualität), Öl, Salz Pfeffer am Tisch. Das war uns allen zu wenig. Gleiches Problem bei den Hauptgerichten: Pizzaboden gut, Belag dürftig. Pizza mit geriebenem Ziegenkäse und Basilikum hatte im Wesentlichen einen Belag aus (guter) Tomatensauce, sehr wenig geriebenem Käse undefinierbarer Art (hätte auch ein Esslöffel Parmesan aus der Tüte sein können) und 4 sehr kleinen Blättern Basilikum. Sonst nichts. Für 16,50 zu teuer. Ambiente gut, Kellner sehr freundlich. Wir werden aber nicht nochmal hingehen.

I will never come to this restaurant again it disappointed me twice the first time with spaghetti with clams the pasta arrived at the table already lukewarm not even the dish was hot on May 19th I ordered a mix of fish the salmon was only cooked quickly and the inside was raw and the tuna was dry and the squid were hard as rubber and the pasta the paccheri with bacon artichokes in tomato half raw all stuck together the pasta only the dessert was saved a little but as I said I will never come again I'm sorry but the 80 euros that I paid I find better and more portions better and more attentive perhaps it is better to change the chef with the restaurant almost empty these are not mistakes that can be accepted especially as it happened to me twice and I don't want to pay such a high price and make fun of me because eating is sacred but that's not right and we'll never see each other again 🤷🏽‍♂️

The three of us had dinner there on Monday (April 8th, 2024). The service was quick and extremely attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, the individual courses came in a reasonable time. The wine was well chilled and also provided with a cooler. Because of the warm spring evening, we sat on the terrace, where the noise of the trams was sometimes a bit disturbing. Storia can't actually do that. Nevertheless, that's why it doesn't get full marks for ambience. When it came to the bill, it was of course up to us whether and how we would tip. Conclusion: Happy again - and just surprised at some of the bad reviews from the recent past.

Unfortunately, we had no direct influence on the tip. For guests over 6 PAX, a 10% service fee is automatically charged. I found that unpleasant. Especially because you don't separate it from the tip/tip. We were there for a business lunch and in the end many were satisfied. If the invoice needs to be given an address, then I recommend that you coordinate it very carefully beforehand so that you don't have to put in extra effort like I did. You can't quickly adjust the address there. Unfortunately, with a final bill of just under 2k, there was no “ciao grazie” liqueur. I found that very unfortunate. When it comes to food, I prefer classic Italian. We had a 3-course menu, but I should have chosen a nice pasta instead. Overall 3 stars because I wasn't particularly impressed by it but it wasn't bad either.

I love this place, come here often. They are very laid back, so if you want something and need to be out of there in under two hours, you need to get their attention. If you are not in a time crunch, slow service is perfect if you like who you went there with! The food is always amazing, the cocktails are always on point and refreshing and excellent selection of wine.

Cool location, open design, therefore high noise levels, bright, large windows. The food is very decent, the service is friendly with a touch of comedy, but professional. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was still within reasonable limits.

It was really delicious, a little more expensive than other restaurants, but rightly so. The interior design is romantic, calm and very elegant. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. A waiter only charged me for one Hugo (even though I drank 2 Hugos) because I was eating alone. Simply great.

Steak+ extra Kartoffeln für ca 40Euro ist auch ok optional inklusive wäre eine Knoblauchbutter oder Rossmarinbutter Top und gröberes Salz. Meine Frau hatte Spagetti Carbonara diese schmeckten auch sehr gut da auf Originalität geachtet wird! Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder.

Wir hatten zwar nur wenig bestellt bzw gegessen, aber dennoch wurden wir super zuvorkommend bedient! Die Gerichte (Rissotto, Pizza, Salat) wie auch der Wein (Sauvignon Blanc) waren hervorragend und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war echt ok. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und sehr stilvoll! Das moderne Ambiente fanden wir auch super stylish und dennoch richtig gemütlich! Kurzum, wir werden wieder kommen. Grazie tanto - ci vediamo!

Geschmacklich und Qualität super, auch das Team ist sehr nett, aber das Timing… Erst kommt ewig nichts, dann nach 45min zwei Vorspeisen (bei 7 Gästen), dann wieder sehr lange nichts. 90min nach der initialen Bestellung kam ein Hauptgericht (Pizza), nachdem dieses fast aufgegessen war, drei weitere Speisen (Ravioli), wiederum 15min später zwei Fisch-Gerichte -aber ohne die Beilagen- und ganz am Ende auf erneute Rückfrage noch eine zuvor wohl vergessene Pasta. Falls dieses Restaurant die Orga in den Griff kriegt, kommen wir gerne mit mehr Sternen wieder. Bis dahin ist es versetztes Essen in Etappen - so macht ein gemeinsamer Dinner-Abend wenig Freude.

Leider kein Lokal für größere Runden. Der Service langsam dafür wenig freundlich. Die Menüzusammenstellung hätte gepasst, wenn man sich bei der Vorspeise auf eine konzentriert hätte. Was bringst wenn das Rindercarpaccio zimmerwarm ist, das Vitello schon einen dunkleren Rand hat und die Mozzarella-Bällchen aussen angetrocknet. Der Fischgang war nur noch lauwarm und der Hauptgang zwar warm und reichlich aber nicht schön angerichtet und fad im Geschmack. Wein ist Geschmacksache, meiner war’s nicht. Preis-Leistung auch für Münchner Verhältnisse deutlich zu teuer. Was die Bewertung hervorhebt, ist das schöne Ambiente.

Essen war sehr gut, selbst gemachte Pasta und Original Steinofen Pizza.

Genuinely one of the best pizzas I’ve had - we ordered the salami picante. Great service and a cool restaurant! They also squeezed us in even though they could have refused us as we arrived so late, lovely accommodating people!
